Stay away until construction next door is complete
Staff were courteous and efficient.
My room looked right out into a construction site that had 24 hour operations going on. While the noise was not horrible in the middle of the night it was enough to be a nuisance. Then real work began at 0700 and was very loud. I’ve stayed here before and thought it was fine but will not return until the construction is complete. At the price they are asking for a mediocre room 20 Meters from a construction site it’s just not worth it. There are plenty of other mediocre hotels to stay at for the same price (or less) with no construction just outside the window!

Great location
Everything was perfect. The room was set up with the extra bed and ready for us when we arrived in the wee hours of the morning. The view from the window was spectacular: the Singapore Flyer and the Marina Bay Sands Hotel with the boat on top. Breakfast included a buffet of Singaporean and international foods, which got our day of touring off to a great start. I was eager to show off the Peninsula Excelsior Hotel to our family we were visiting. The location was excellent and only a 5-minute walk to the MRT station, which took us all over Singapore. I would definitely stay in the hotel again and ask for Room 1113!
In the display of brochures offered to tourists, I wish the brochure on the Marina Bay Gardens was in English. I checked with the front desk and concierge of both the Peninsula and the Excelsior towers.

The carpet was stained and dirty. Upholstery on chairs were dirty and had holes in them.

Convenient to walk to MRT or many tourist sites, really comfortable beds and extremely quiet, relaxing rooms. Despite the somewhat disappointing breakfast, we would recommend this hotel for cleanliness, quietness and pleasant staff.
Could have used a convenient get-it-yourself ice machine. Breakfast was included, buffet style, and was only mediocre, but probably hard to manage with the number of people using it.
