The breakfast was good, the live music and bar were very nice, the staff was very attentive. Check in time of 2:00 PM is very late. Check out time of 12:00 PM is very early. Wireless internet access should be free like most hotels in the US.
The location was good, facilities were clean. The internet connection was unreliable at best and generally nonexistent. It was slow during the day (speedtest.net about 2-3mb/s) but wouldn't work at all during the evenings. The hotel felt tired and in need of a facelift.
The bed was huge for Brazilian beds. Very comfortable. Good location (1 block from av. Paulista, and close to metro, MASP...). Staff is very helpfull and attentive. The food. We ordered roomservice: chicken soup and pasta. The chicken soup had no taste, despite the fact you could see it was done with fresh vegetables. The pasta was cold and nothing special. Just a bunch of cream with strong flavour of lemon. It was also quite expensive. The breakfast was also on the poor side. Lots of people and small sizes portions of everything. Staff couldn't manage the quick pace in refilling the buffet. Also you have to wait till they breng coffie to you. You took too long! (specially if you wanted a second round...). Main guests are business people.

Exquisite service and attention to detail! One of the best hotels regarding the service that I have ever stayed in - anywhere. Period! Two minor details. I was not aware that I have to pay extra for the cappucino that I was ordering every morning. The taxi service provided/associated with the hotel is even more expensive than the already expensive taxi service in SP. They should provide free taxi service/shuttle from-to the airport.
Hotel is based in a charming old building of some sort. They weren't able to locate my Kayak reservation without the full confirmation, so fortunately I had brought that along. I was surprised that the included wi-fi was so bad although it worked better towards the front side of the room. Breakfast was nice with good service. Used their taxi into GRU which was professional and reasonable.
Best Hotel I have ever stayed in Brazil. Although it is expensive, the hotel offers you high quality. If you need a taxi, don't ask it to the reception and don't take the ones waiting in front of the hotel. The Black colored taxis are luxurious but charge you more money. Take the usual white colored taxis.

I had to find a virtual office elsewhere for a very important conference call. I had some other calls at the hotel where the client had to call me at the hotel and another one where they heard most but not all that I was saying. I called before booking the hotel and they told me they had made improvements 2 weeks ago. When I experienced problems and questioned the staff, they told me that they just added access points but no improvements were mad about speed (extremely slow), not could they control the stability of the internet (dropped connection). I should mention that even at the virtual office I had problems and had to make a call using international data roaming on my cell phone due to internet problems there too.
Love Porto Bay Hotels and this is one was no exception. Fantastic Gym, Pool and Spa, Very helpful service and very nice breakfast. I will definitely be back!
Nice boutique hotel. Attentive service, clean. The Cab service provided to the airport was great, very comfortable and was reasonably priced ($R160). Very well located. Very comfortable bed The carpet was old and worn but I believe they were in fact changing the carpet during my stay. Had a crying baby throughout the 3 nights I was there, in the next room and the walls are very thin. I have a reasonable tolerance to that but others may not. I guess there is not much the hotel can do about that but I was surprised given that my perception was that this is a business hotel. Other than that nothing negative to say.

Love this hotel. I've stayed in three hotels in Sao Paulo and this is the one I'll be returning to. Such a lovely welcome. Great room and amazing breakfasts. The added and unexpected extras such as sparkling wine, chocolate and the japanese hot tub made the stay very special. Thank you to all the staff at L'Hotel Porto Bay.
The staff were really friendly and always willing to help. I like the chinese jaccuzi, but remember, you have to call to reserve it, it takes time for it to heat up (free of charge). The pool and gym are bit too small but sufficient. The breakfast is good. I would definitely go back. While in SP, make sure to visit Skybar at hotel unique (the view and atmosphere is marvelous) Wished that the pool was an outside pool :)
Very contemporary, clean, new, business style hotel with a fantastic free breakfast. Bad Internet connection at most times
Price, location and a good decor. It's also right around the corner from Escola da Samba Vai-Vai, which is convenient for taking in the local culture. Would like to see better furniture, but I really can't complain.

Convenient location. Functional facilities, if minimal. Polite staff. They overcharge for everything, adding taxes that were pre-paid. Outrages fees for interente use if you don't have a laptop. High prices for food and drinks.

The location is great (taxi, subway, bus stop, shopping centers, restaurants, etc, at walking distance and the service is good. I had an odd experience at the check out desk. I was presented a bill with the total amount of expenses but no details. All hotels I have stayed in usually give you a detailed list of expenses for your review and approval before billing your credit card. The clerk wanted to convince me to wait the detailed electronic invoice I should receive by email 2 days later!!!! I had to insist, even talked to another clerk to get an expenses details. And guess what? There was a little mistake and they were kind enough as to remove it from my bill. But I had to sign a paper informing that I was notified that the withdraw of the amount was subject to later approval. This is ridiculous! I believe Accord should be told about this strange procedure
