peace and quiet, good food, total relaxation
Very relaxed atmosphere. Great decor. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech medina. Food / drinks are expensive. But this is the case with most hotels in and around Marrakech. I do understand that it is a hotel and as such I dont expect to be charged the same as a restaurant, but i just feel that if they reduced there prices by about 20%, people would be more inclined to buy food/drink at the hotel, instead of waiting till they go into town. The hotel would make more money in the end...
The rooms are lovely and the whole place is brilliantly laid out….even though the rooms are close to the pool and the bar it seems like they are in a totally separate place. It is very peaceful and relaxing. On our 3rd night a new chef started. The food until then was pricey but excellent. Once the new head chef started the standard of food plummeted but the prices didn't. This was slightly disappointing in an otherwise fantastic hotel.
nice hotel, a lot of lux, very good dinners, nice and disciplined staff maybe even too much, quiet and full of colours, fine deco. quite far from the city. After few days a stay can become boring and very passive, since there is no common facilities for guests (except maybe regular evening attacks of ants - big size!). You have the impression that you are separated from others in a bit bombastic, not natural way. Good for very tired or lazy people who want to do nothing, but relax in the sun.
Beautiful gardens and liked the architecture of the hotel building and individual riad style accomodation Not an overly welcoming arrival. Re the room no full length mirror anywhere in the suite apart from a high bathroom mirror. No information anywhere in the room or at the hotel on what time meals were served and location - and no literature on amentities, or local activities / other hotels etc guests might like to visit. Poorly stocked minibar.
Not only were we received as if we were royalty but they upgraded us to a junior suite. Both my husband and I are avid travellers, but this beat almost everything we'd ever experienced. Unfortunately we could not enjoy it to the full since we arrived quite late at night and had to leave very early in the morning. Wish I could have stayed here longer and will definitely come back. If you want to be close to the Medina, forget it. But we wanted a romantic night to celebrate something. Though the dinner setting on the outside terrace was magical, we did have to ask for a serviette four times. The staff might not be too experienced but they make up for it in friendliness.
stunning design, everything about the place has character. Very relaxing setting with an excellent restaurant
fireplace, bar, needs some upgrading, service was an issue, dinner menu needs to have specials menu was limitedspa needs to be bigger, needs a gym
Absolutely loved the pool suite - an incredible place to truly get away from it all. The food was also exquisite. I would fully recommend this place to anyone. Quite pricey in terms of food and extras but to be expected.
Luxury, Romantic, Beautiful Hotel. Conveniently 10 minutes (taxi 10€ each way) from Marrakech's Medina. The private pool is a must have, amazing experience, make the effort :-)
Very extensive grounds The food was very overpriced and it was somewhat worn
Very luxirous stay all staff very effiecient and friendly a bit tooo big
Awful Room was supposed to be pool view but turned out to be no view. Booking.com told me to solve it with the hotel who did not do anything. Booking.com rate was 30 euros more expensive than normal rate of the hotel.
Very nice rooms, luxury.. No internet at night time, bad smell at night in the rooms from aircontition. No very close to the town.
Many bars and restaurants, great pool and spa. Staff was very slow, hardly any other guests in bars and restaurants.
all round quality of the hotel was first class none at all
The hotel is very luxurious at such good value. Very clean and well maintained daily. Perfect place to stay for golf/activities or just relaxing. A tour of the grounds would have been nice as the grounds were quite large (finding the different restaurants/facilities). Also perhaps a guide in the room to Marrakech/nearby activities. We asked the staff about dune buggying and he was able to tell us a little about it but I would've preferred to see some leaflets/guide with info/prices/times.
The nice and calm atmosfire in the room and at the pool. We were not informed abot the spa and tha was included to the guests. So we missed to visit the spa.
Resort was very quiet and peaceful A little too far from Marrakech
The pool, the staff, the garden, the room. It is a beautiful place to stay and probably our the best of our trip. The price of dinner in the hotel was not clear and turned out to be quite expensive (over £60 for one starter, two chicken main courses & a bottle of water) However, the food was excellent.
The quiet setting and homely atmosphere make this a relaxing place to stay; the staff from the directors to the gardeners were all both helpful and friendly. It would be helpful if themeals were priced so that one knew how much the dish (or the course) cost.
High quality personal service. Great attention to detail. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable and quiet. Excellent transportation service included.
Well appointed, spacious room. Big swimming pool with elegant poolside furniture. Felt we were being held to ransom! Meals were astronomically expensive and poor, and only way to get away was by taxi as location is very isolated. Breakfast was identical (and dull) each day- would have expected a buffet at hotel like this. Lunch- no apparent choice and again identical 3 out of 4 days. After dinner on first night kept well away- good restaurants in city centre much better and cheaper, and entertaining! Felt we were being exploited because hotel was nearly empty. Wish we had stayed at a riad in city centre.
Well located, this smaller hotel will not attract the big crowds. Personnel very friendly. This is not a 5 star hotel were you can eat and enjoy a la carte food or spa treatments. You can not order a la carte if not reserved your food 12 or 24 hours in advance and your spa treatments if not in package is costing a fortune. Best to take a journey with food included (and its not high cuisine) than doing like us only suit facility. You will end up eating the same every evening. Attention ! for room service , they will charge you 5 euro per person (yes even for 2 glasses) although wrongly mentioned in their room booklet at + 5 euro per room.
Best feature of this hotel is the quiet and spacious area this hotel offers. The small number of rooms and the huge available area really creates a relaxed and quiet atmosphere. Hanging around on the pool and relaxing some days can be done perfectly well here. Improvement potential is definitely existing in the relation of price and offered service of the restaurants. Prices for drinks and dinner / lunch are really too high. The abroad location of the hotel (>20 minutes taxi ride from city center) leads to expensive taxi rides if you are not with your own car.
All the attention and the confort
Pefect mini break with the girls at Dar Kantzaro. We pretty much had the place to ourselves for the majority of our stay. The pool is gorgeous and the rooms spacious and tastefully decorated. The staff were amazing. Braheem made us feel really welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. We had a perfect 5 days there and I would definitely go back! No
