Great service, stylish, interesting history
cleanliness, attentiveness of staff when required, decor, closeness for requirements of city shops and arena for concert pool change area is small, there was a hen party there for the day getting treatments in the spa and there were no lockers available so we had to take everything into the pool area! Lifts were a problem- a number of us (guests) had encoutered room cards that didn't work in lifts- my mother who I was travelling with hates lifts and we got stuck!
Absolutely fell in love with this hotel from the moment we stepped through the doors. We were given a lovely quiet room where we barely heard anything from outside.
the building and public areas and the function i attended at the hotel 2 days before my stay i received a call from the hotel cancelling my reservation for myself and my 6 guests due to overbooking. after a lot of difficult conversations my reservation was reinstated the next day. This is completely unnaceptable and caused a lot of concern
Room was very nice and spacious. Breakfast also very good
The price, location for city centre and railway station Room noisy due to occupant on floor above and thin and creaky bedroom ceiling. Asking for consideration didn't solve problem. Breakfast poor quallity - no muesli or devent fruit lots of fatty bacon, poor coffee - perhaps it just matched discounted room price bracket so dont pay for breakfast and go and eat somewhere else
Everything! The hotel is in a great location, the staff are friendly and helpful and hotel was clean, comfortable and very up-to-date.
Game Old Trafford No
Location, great and efficient staff. A little bit noisy - other guests knocking on the door and generally rowdy.
The spa, the room, the really comfy bed! Nothing :)
Central location and beautiful christmas decorations Being unable to open a window for health and safety reasons. Air conditioning is noisy, un green and not as good as fresh air at night.
Pleasant helpful staff excellent customer service great Central location will be staying again
though i booked double bed they have joined 2 twin beds and the beds were not quite comfortable, more than the bed,the pillows.pl.look into this,I stayed here abt 6m ago,i liked it thats why i booked at the same place,i might choose others for the next time.
Close to train station shops bars staff very good.Bar area very pleansent and I would say not over priced Stayed for 3 nights but on the Sunday morning room did not get made up but saying this soon as it was pointed out room service was called and room made up
The double tree is a nice hotel at first glance. I found the staff at the front desk were not the most welcoming but that wasn't the biggest problem. The room was comfortable for the most part and me and my companion were looking foward to a nice stay. The shower had two choices, freeze or burn. It was nearly impossible to get the shower at a normal temperature which was a huge issue. But we were only there for 2 nights so decided it would be better to give it another try than moving rooms. On our second night which was a Saturday we were awoken at 4 am by a group of drunk girls that were screaming down the hallway. I felt like I was transported to the worst spring break all inclusive. I called the reception 3 times and in all fairness they came up every time to get those stupid girls to shut up. Then their guy friends came from the party minutes later and started retaliating to help their skanky girlfriends. They were standing outside of our door yelling obscenities. I called again and eventually the noise stopped but at that point I had one more hour before having to get on a train to the airport so my entire night was ruined. While they were definitely responsive to the times I called they should have kicked these people out. What kind of reputation do you want to have? I know that on my next visit to Manchester staying at the double tree and staying at the hatters is pretty much the same. If you want to maintain an upscale reputation then be more selective about who you let stay in you hotel or at the very least have your front staff make the rules clear when these drunken idiots tumble in through the door of your hotel.
This hotel is the closest to the Town Hall/Albert Square. Getting there from the train station cannot be easier; the tram stops right in the corner, a few steps away. It is close to everything in downtown Manchester. Very comfortable beds. Very large bathroom. There were many airline employees all the time, so I guess they know it is comfortable and very convenient. Room was odd shape without good views, but it was not bad.
the location was very good and within walking distance to the shops and the tram if you need to travel further, staff were helpful and the bar in the hotel was good and lively i felt our room was quite small
The views were spectacular. We could have spent the whole stay in the Cloud 23 bar. And every member of staff that we met were wonderful.
The location is good for city centre bars and restaurants but it is easy to access from the motorway and parking is easy nearby I paid 249 pounds for one night in what I thought would be a luxury, exclusive hotel and it isn't. The room service breakfast was an insult.
Good location, right next to Picadilly Train Station. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment which was lovely,
The holiday feel from having a room that overlooked the atrium with its palm trees. It was so quiet.
I liked the hotel room, very spacious, clean and a large bed!
Comfortable bed and pillows.
