Beautiful resort with amazing gardens surrounding four pools. Reasonable price. Staff was very friendly. Wish I could have stayed longer!
Expensive for what you get. No extra incentives are included in what you pay for the rooms it all costs extra. Rather go to the marriott just down the road again.
Townhome style hotel rooms with porches and balconies. 4 pools. Shuttles to the beach. Next to Walgreens. Late check in time.
We loved the place, It was well kept and clean, had nice pools and outside bar. The staff is great and all you have to do is ask and it gets taken care of.
Loved the resort and public areas. The bartender was the nicest lady I have ever seen. She made our trip. When we arrived at 6pm I was told my room was not ready as I had made my reservation an hour before....so I guess rooms don't get clean unless there are reservations made which made no sense.
Nice resort with beautiful grounds. Rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated. We stayed in an "ocean view" room which had a very nice "beach area outside of our back door and veranda. Parking is limited and constrained. The shuttle service to Old Town is inconvenient (2 hour intervals); but free. There are very few local (within walking distance) restaurants. The best, a Fridays, has closed.
Beautiful, large, quiet rooms; free parking Beach front but can't swim in the water.
PK staffers were very diligent in their quest to make the hotel first class. Thank you for your efforts! Our room phone never did work. Internet service was frequently interrupted. BR sink faucets functioned poorly. The White Sox did not win too many games.
great value for money. food was a bit pricey and left a bit to be desired.
The location was nice.... Too pricey for what you get. Don't expect to relax! More of a party hotel. Thought I was back in college but then I couldn't afford it.
Loved the location. Near the marina. Near Duval Street. Resturant hours during the summer were limited. Nobody cares. Restaurants are everywhere.
Room Too expensivee
The staff was very welcoming and helpful. Extremely relaxing and beautiful place. It was brand new, clean, and luxurious! Nothing
The hotel was amazing, very clean, quiet, friendly staff, great location, wonderful landscaping, clean salt pools. We really enjoyed our stay. This was the best place we have stayed in key west so far. We will return. My only suggestion is to watch for those extra fees (resort fee, parking fee, room amenities...). It was a bit much on top of the already expensive cost per night.
Very new hotel. As such they have not worked the kinks out of the system yet. When the toilet was broken and we had to switch rooms it took hours of them running around and me talking to people to do so. Then when I talked to management the next day they would only give my a pittance of a discount on the next nights stay. We missed our dinner... I was upset. It should be a comped night no questions asked for what we went through.
The location is very convenient to the waterfront and west end of Duval. Nice pools with a fully stocked bar and restaurant next to the pools. Price wise a far bit on the high side, but its KW.
Hotel is remodeled since last visit. Very pleased with looks and amenities. Staff was also very helpful.
the grounds are very nicely put together. The rooms were designed with luxury in mind. Being new they just have some growing pains to surpass but they will get there. The front desk staff seemed friendly and willing to attempt to fix any problem you might encounter. Being fairly new, the first room we were provided had issues with the barn door for the bathroom where it wouldn't close. We had paid for a ocean view and we're given a room where the elevator block the view. The front desk was able to give us another room but couldn't provide us then with the size bed we had requested since we were there for multiple nights. The new room was clean and similarly put together but the barn door still on occasion would get stuck. Leaving one of us trapted temporary in the bathroom. The second downfall which really has to do with the location is it is right there upon entering key west so if you request a ocean view room, you're going to hear the traffic coming and going.
Clean modern hotel, attentive staff No Resturant on site
The hotel bar was nice. The bartenders were friendly & quite helpful about any questions we had about Key West. The resort fee is too expensive. The shuttle does not run @ all times. A cab cost about $16 to get to Duval St. There were never enough towels in the room; however, when we called, housekeeping did bring more towels within 30 minutes. The room was much smaller than it looked from the pictures on the website. Next time I will also choose to stay closer to Old Town.
Service in general very good, front desk people very nice, pool with the palm trees! clean rooms, bar services, clean and warm towels. That was a good experience there. thanks a lot. the breakfast wasn't what we expected. and the restaurant after hours, that we had to walk to the "next door restaurant" to get the food.
Really good service, clean rooms, great location. Overall nice place to stay. We had a room on the first level and you could hear every move made by the guests upstairs. Not for light sleepers.
Premises Breakfast included Mini terrace at each room Clean Location Having eggs, ham... something salty, would be a plus at breakfast minibar is empty/ no bar service around the pool Somewhat expensive
Good location, prople lind. Bugs in the bathroom
Like most reviews read, the hotel is located in a convenient location near enough to walk down Duval or head to Mallory Square. There is adequate parking for guest. Rooms are clean with a modern feel. The pool is popular with guest. Although small, it kept everyone happy. Breakfast was always set up by 7 am, but it is a light breakfast. If you want something heavier, there is a Denny's nearby that you can walk to. Staff was pleasant. Breakfast could have included eggs, and the bread choices dwindled if you came late, as it was not restocked. As said above, if you are looking for a bigger breakfast just walk over to Dennys.
location, room size, nice bedding, clean ants in the bathroom
Clean room, nice staff, great location. Not overpriced as many other places in Key West. Can't wait to go back.
Staff very friendly & helpful, room was great definitely will stay again
Staff was exceptionally friendly and responsive; location was a quick walk to anywhere; rooms were quiet and comfortable. There's a nice Cuban food stand across the street for a quick breakfast. The poolside staff made sure we had what we needed at all times and the lunches they deliver to poolside from the cafe' were great. Couples' massage was very relaxing. Can't wait to return!
Rooms and food were amazing. Beautifully kept facility. Great views and nice beaches.
The location is good. Close to the downtown. Our room. It was next to the service area. They parked their cleaning dolly's in front of our window and had loud conversations from early morning. We couldn't look out the window as the maids were right in front. So much for ocean view. The door stuck to the point my wife couldn't open it. The AC unit was very noisy. Like on old ice machine. We experienced this when we returned from dinner and a night out so it was late evening, we didn't mention until check out. We we mentioned the morning of check out they were indifferent. Said we should have called maintenance in the middle of the night,
The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rena and Luis were great staff that made our stay extra pleasant. My husband and I are expecting our first child and they surprised us with sparking cider cookies and a baby picture frame. Rena especially went out of her way to make our stay and enjoyable one. We decide to stay four nights instead if two and they discounted our rate. I didn't want to leave.
Bed was very comfortable; I enjoyed lemongrass products
Absolutely loved this hotel . would most definitely go back .
Ocean view with balcony sitting area. Pool with bar and food available. Quiet but an easy walk to all the fun of Duval street.
Nice and clean facilities, friendly staff, and location was outstanding. Love the hammocks for taking a nap in the afternoon. For the price you pay, the rooms are a little on the small side. After an evening on Duval Street, went back for a nightcap with my son. The rum runner I ordered tasted a little funny, but my son and I agreed it was ok. After drinking it, was advised by bartender he made it with all 151 rum because he was out of Bacardi at the time, "hope that was ok." Not what I needed for a nightcap. Another bartender on site, Arjay, was outstanding and personable.
Partial ocean-view room had a great balcony with a beautiful view. Room was clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the hammocks at the Sand Bar and watching the sunset from the pier. Great location on the water, but close enough to Duval Street to enjoy all the restaurants and clubs with ease. The hotel restaurant was also exceptional. Would definitely recommend!
Beautiful, great staff. I stayed last year with a friend and we had a great time. This year I had found out it had bought buy a corporation. What this proved to show to me is, no more smoking anywhere on the premises, jacked up prices, and no floaty's. In the pool. No robes or conditioner in the bathroom. Although small things, it really changed the experience when I had previously been so impressed. Will be looking for a new getaway next visit to key west.
the location was in the center of duval st. that is really all the good i have to say... I did not like that we had to walk through old, nasty water puddle to get to the pool from our location, I did not like the extremely high prices in the restaurant, and when we looked for breakfast the next morn, we were told it was a $16. buffet. I thought we were promised breakfast with our reservation, so we ate somewhere else, only to ask later about it and the front desk clerk looked at me like I was stupid, then reluctantly gave me a pass for the next day? Room way overpriced for not having a ceiling fan or a functional air conditioner, it was set for what the hotel obviously wanted the temp at...
Rooms are small, over priced, front desk made us stay in lobby for an hour before checking in, (from 3:00 until 4:00) we were booked 2 weeks in advance.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The amenities and staff were outstanding. The location to all the hot spots in Key West was so convenient. We couldn't have asked more more. It made our wedding getaway that much more pleasurable. There was nothing that we didn't lik .
not much very tiny, tiny bathroom. window was to look out at Duval street. impossible. rooms to small. stayed with because was a Crowne Plaza. was the worst one ever because of size and no BKF included. only friendly staff was the valet, probably for the tip. no thank-you, have a good day from from desk when checked out
The location is excellent. The room was very quiet and comfortable. One of the main reasons I booked here was because there was a pool at the site. It was very disappointing to find out upon arrival that the pool was not in service. The hotel should have given reserved customers advanced warning so that other arrangements could have been made.
The hotel is very centrally located, and has a nice lobby and bar, and the pool area looked good for families The room had no window and was extremely dark. Light bulbs were burned out and the bedspreads were very dingy and dirty looking. For the money I paid, this was extremely disappointing.
Our room was charming and tastefully decorated--very Key West. Extremely quiet. Nice rooftop pool.
The best is the location. You don't need to use the car. It's clean. No charm. It's impersonal. It fright me when I find ear plug in the room and your wine come in a plastic cup!
Very professional Small bathroom
Great location, high standard and reasonable price. And parking which was rare in that neighborhood.
Comfortable room with couch (instead of the usual table & chairs), nice decor (shutters instead of blinds, marble bathroom vanity). A short walk to Mallory Square and many good restaurants. Construction was in progress on facade, so had to use side & back entrances, but noise wasn't an issue.
Very good location; own parking lot; roof-top bar; fresh fruits for breakfast
Excellent choice for a weekend escape. Nice and clean king room at the corner of the hotel. Not too close from downtown but yet at walking distance.
The room was clean Receptionist was not pleasant, tried to ask for a different softer pillow, was told there are only the pillows in the room and there were no different than those. Not helpful at all. Breakfast was not much to much to speak of, some pastries, and over cooked hard boiled eggs. Definitely not worth the money . It was close to Duvall Street but other than that there is nothing that would compell me to stay there again!
New renovated, well equipped and really clean rooms. They've charged us a city tax twice however when we've complained they had returned one payment immediately.
Very little. Yet, the place appears brand new ( the pictures on booking.com are still the planning pictures). It's only attraction is that it is within walking distance from duval Street, say 15 minutes to midpoint of Duval Street. Rooms were clean and relatively spacous and internet was free. Forget about the announced 'island view' or 'pool view', to be renamed 'street view' (= no view), or 'parking lot view': indeed, two sides of the very small inner pool (area) are literally adjacent to the hotel inner parking lot. There is basically no lobby, as the small area adjacent to reception is used as a rather primitive self service breakfast area, all with plastic/foam plates and cups, with the cups for orange juice just large enough for a standard shot of whisky, but then without adding ice. No wonder they make you prepay for the stay. Certainly no resort hotel, and way overpriced ... And by the way: we had booked a "street view" and were allotted a "parking lot view" instead ( at a 20 usd rebate per night).
This hotel is brand new and the facilities are excellent. Great value.
Staff was awesome. Arrived 3 hours early and got in to room. Friendly and helpful staff clean rooms. Great location. great room size for shared family. Free shuttle service the only thing I didn't like is that we didn't stay longer.
Loved the room layout.
the rooms were beautiful, spacious and very well-kept.
We, as a family had an excellent time, hotel was so clean and well designed, facilities excellent, staff extremely helpfull, could not do enough for us, especially complimentary transport into town. Could not fault would love to return one day. Nothing
I liked that staying was only one night The room at first floor smelt very bad and the carped was moist. Air conditition was lousy, air was very moist. Next mornig I saw that water was stilling under the building?! There were lakes, so not supprise why room smelt like mould.
Nice pool, and big rooms. The hotel is really beautifull from the outside The rooms and the facillities should be improved...It s kind old. Smokers stay away, you can t smoke even at open air inside the hotel. The Beach is in front of the Hotel (Smathers Beach) but it is not the best beach in town. If you don t have car it is a bit far from Duval Street. Not for young people wanting to have fun
The luxury of the rooms A bit too far from the main shopping area
The hotel was located in a perfect place, right in front of the beach. the pool was located a short distance from the beach. My childeren loved it
This hotel is just across the road from a beautiful beach. The free parking is great and the free shuttle into Duval st was fantastic. The house keeping staff were very friendly and did a fantastic job.
Spacious, clean rooms Very helpful, friendly staff and knowledgeable concierge I enjoyed laying by the pool and listening to the meditative sound of the waterfall Right across the street from Smathers Beach Shuttle to the airport and to/from downtown Fitness center (though note the ceiling in the cardio room is low and equipment may not be suitable for tall people - my boyfriend is 5'11" and was okay but taller than 6' may not be) A bit far from Duval Street, but they do offer a shuttle service to and from the heart of the downtown area which makes up, in part for the location. Food and drinks at the hotel restaurant were not that good.
Across the street from the beach. Shuttle service that ran to Duval st every hour or so. Nice swimming pool and restaurant. Very friendly staff Far from most of the attractions in key west, but that also made it quieter. Shuttle service made up for the location.
The room was clean, nice pool area, the location was great and very friendly staffs. I'll definitely stay here again. None
Our room had a full kitchen, was very reasonably priced, and the staff was superb. They were very flexible with our arriving early and checkin out late. Everyone made the effort to look me in the eye and greeted me with a smile. Very professional. The cleaning staff started their rounds pretty early, like 9:30, and we weren't up and moving yet.
Very friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, the best location (walking distance to Duval restaurants and galleries), cozy rooms, outdoor chairs right by your room, life music from the next door restaurant. I will definitely come back and would recommend to stay at Wicker Guesthouse . The outdoor patio looks a little old, but due to the weather specific in the Keys (rain and flooding ) I guess it's not easy to keep it at perfect condition all the time. Everything else is great.
Smells horrible, beds are super hard the bathrooms are super small i felt like in a movie hiding away for a few days the sound is horrendous you can hear everything outside i couldnt rest!
Parking and breakfast seating. The parking spaces are MUCH too thin, creating many spaces which were unparkable as others had parked over both side lines. This made my 8 month pregnant wife have to walk from the opposite side of the hotel in the only parking spot available. Also, at 9:00 am, there is not enough tables for the amount of people eating breakfast. We had to sit in the lobby to eat our breakfast. These two things made our stay less enjoyable.
Really enjoy my stay here
The time given us in their free Concierge service. Matt was very knowledgeable and could help us find just what we were looking for in Key West.
Shaded with palms everywhere.
The price was fair. Breakfast was decent. Newer hotel. We had two experiences with roaches. We advised the front desk each time. One said she would make a note of it the other person at the desk took several minutes to explain the habits of Palmetto bugs in the warm weather. No one came to spray or check on the room. Breakfast could have a little bit more variety.
The staff was incredibly helpful and very engaging. The concierge was knowledgeable, the front desk attendants quick, and the breakfast crew were on top of everything. I have no comments on the maid service because we did not let them into our room for the duration of the stay. They offer a variety of helpful coupons and pamphlets to help acclimate you to the island. Our room smelled slightly of cigarette smoke, and the shower had mildew in some of the grout. The sink area allowed a pool of water to collect due to an uneven surface. The walls are quite thin. The rooms were lacking in lighting. Being one of two Fairfield locations in Key West, it's the farther from the major attractions. Overall, small gripes. I would certainly stay here again
Loved the facility and staff. Distance from Duval...although relatively short 10 min drive.
The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was close the to pool The on site resturant was a Waffle House, the food was not very good and the place was dirty. We went offsite for breakfast
cheap hotel, budget, beds not comfortable
We liked a pool! Old furniture in the room, synthetic cover sheets on the beds.
We have spent at Avalon one night only. Very nice and clean rooms. The hotel is situated on the Duval street, one of the famous streets of the Key West. Aproximetly 200 metres from The Southernmost land point of US. We recomment.
Very friendly staff. beautifull room and the location is also perfect. Costs a bit more than the hotels in the north of the island, but it's worth it! I would recommend this to everyone! Also the parkingcosts around Duvall street are very high, but Avalon has a private parking space and its free for all guests!! NONE!
The room was very small but very nice and well decorated but I think it is because of the type of room I chose (the price was reasonable).
This is such a lovely Bed and Breakfast, located on the quiet site of Duval Street (right around the corner from the Most Southern Point), The house is gorgeous and the rooms are beautiful and spacious. We had a lovely time there.
Position room too small
Continental breakfast is always a great way to start off your day at any hotel, wished the selection was better but at least the coffee was always hot. Beautiful pool area lots of seating but the tiki bar's food selection was also a bit limited. A lot of people were receiving noise complaints at the pool and rooms at 2 PM.... Its Key West so if you're planning on wanting peace and quiet you should probably stay in Marathon, and not blame the hotel for your poor choice in vacation destination... Parking is quite a problem at this location and forcing some people to park in random lots nearby, which is never a good idea in the Keys. The ice machines never seemed to be working well. The rooms are also very small, actually uncomfortable for 4 people to be in a room with two double beds. Most likely would stay here again, but not my first choice.
Room was clean, comfortable and fully equipped with necessities.
The hotel definitely met our expectations. the facilities and rooms were impeccably clean. The room was a nice size and the bed was very comfortable. Location is perfect for families and couples looking for a quiet and relaxed stay. The staff's customer service was extremely underwhelming. Front desk agents were sweet but very young and it reflected in the level of service and professionalism expected in the hospitality industry. Housekeeping had the worst attitudes anytime we requested anything as if we were inconveniencing them, they would scoff at any question! We were running a little late to the complimentary breakfast but willing to grab anything still out—the lady picking up literally pulled baskets of bagels away from us and rolled her eyes when we asked where we can could find cream cheese. I was shocked at how ugly her attitude towards us was when we are guests spending A LOT of money to stay at their locations and were very respectful towards her.
location and breakfast was pretty good... the room was a little warm for me...i set the thermostat to 68 degrees and the temp never dropped below 73 degrees...
The pool area was beautiful . It made you feel as if you were in the islands. There was plenty of comfortable seating including cabana style loungers to enjoy. All the staff helpful and pleasant . At the breakfast buffet the staff walked around to refill coffee, clear your tables and offer newspapers. There was plenty of free parking on site and rentals of motor bikes and bicycles.
Room very nice, loved the beach. Always enjoy the jazz in the evening, location excellent.
The hotel has its own beach. Lanai view was parking lot with plants taller than patio.
The spa was terrific (we went back for seconds) and the live music at the pool-side restaurant was lovely. This hotel was a bit pricey, considering the level of service.
I liked the view from our room, and the restaurant attached to the hotel had great food. the town itself was excellent and beutiful. very over priced tho. the price was very high for what you get. The staff were only alright. the front desk staff were great, but the servers in the restaurant were very unpleasant and dident seem to care. although the food was great, the servers were not.
Absolute perfect location to experience all of Key West! Big bonus having the option to enjoy the beach/ocean and the pool. Will stay here again.
Location is great. Close to everything but the way property is set up quiet at nite and exclusive during day. Also gives you access to Southern Most area via their B and B. Staff at beach were wonderful and very courteous and hardworking. Kyack asked would I prefer a room with better view or more space and extra towels I received none of the above. Room service cleaning was very late in day. There were days I did not think they would show at all.
We had a problem with are air conditioner. They dispatched an in house maintenance person. He explained that the unit was frozen an they would get a HVAC specialist asap. The unit was up an running the next morning. This all happened Sunday eve around 7pm. We were compensated for our troubles. .
Comfortable room, friendly staff, good location. Minimal parking (applies to whole town though).
Close to Key West Bight....great continental breakfast Shower was tight...
I liked the kindness of the staff during all our stay. Not at all.
Great staff, great location. Took care of our needs and special requests. Very nice atmosphere. Our "economy" room left much to be desired. Almost impossible for two people to be comfortable in the room. Bed could not be correctly made due to tight fit against side wall. Next time we'll stay in a larger room at Westwinds.
Old style hotel pleasant change from motels.Walking distance to most things of interest
Location The rooms are well overpriced and in dire need of modernisation. Not even up to two star standard at four star prices.
Great friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the heart of Key West.
quite comfortable and clean. Facilities were good but not excellent. Nevertheless every hotel in the area is as expensive as this one. Poor breakfast.
the bed was very comfortable, the location was perfect, the grounds were nice and relaxing the shower was less than ideal and there was no reading light or chair
good room and effective air conditioning Broken hair dryer
pleasant houses old-style, beautiful gardens, with library, neat places, dining in- and outside, 2 pools: a place to find peace and relax! the economy-room war quite little, but also neat
The ocean view was awsome
The coffee provided at the continental breakfast was some of the hottest but also the best coffee I think I have ever had in that setting. The pool area was very nice, the bed was comfortable, and the view from our room was beautiful. The pool bar and food service shut down very early. I would have enjoyed the setting a bit better if they were available later in the evening. Especially during the summer when days are longer and evenings are warmer.
very comfortable room, lovely pool. Fantastic view. Breakfast facilities, presumably temporary.
Very quiet, which is what we prefered. Breakfast was nice & a good variety. Room was comfortable and screened in deck was nice. Stayed in Room 220 which is a mini- king suite. There is a separate sitting area but not much in the way of accommodating a third person. The room decor was modern, but the tub was definately old cast iron (but really not an issue). Limited drawer space if you dont like to live out of a suitcase. Beach front, but not beach accessible. Smathers Beach is a decent mile walk. The staff was very accommodating & nice! Pool needed to be vacuumed. Not an elevator to the second floor.
Dirty chairs in the room, balcony door not weather tight, Breakfast room much too small
The staff was very accomodating. We requested a change of rooms to have a ocean view and were provided the same . No room service
Adequate facility; however, the staff was very indifferent after I slipped and fell on the very slick pool area. Got a quiet "sorry about that" and "we'll have a maintenance guy wipe up the water". I was walking at a normal gate and luckily, even though both feet went out from under me and my 8 eight old gave me an "8.5" for my air time, I just got a large hip bruise, but an older patron could easily have had a broken bone. Wasn't trying to get a free stay or anything but some minor concern would have been nice.
The staff was extremely friendly. Pool closed too early,
The wonderfull surroundings and colourful houses and inspirational old houses and museums
The Breakfast, The Location.
The size of the rooms Continental breakfast
Clean and quiet. Airport next door but no flights over night.
The staff were super polite! The room was not the cleanest! Hair all over bathroom. Seemed over priced as well.
An amazing hotel, especially the staff does a great job! Worth the price! Ask for the receptionist, he did an outstanding great job...Without him our stay wouldn't have been so great in Key West! Thank you!
Location was excellent! Continental breakfast and happy hour of wine and cheese was very well done. Three flights of stairs to carry bags up and down without assistance offered. Had to pay for bike rentals from the hotel. Many places have them as a complimentary service. The tv was small and didn't rotate properly to be seen adequately from the bed.
Great pool, no children, quiet. We can even manage the roosters for no kids and a real pool. :)
Very clean. None
Cleanliness Location...when I left, there was no one available for check out
The staff were all pleasant and informative. Amenities just as they said. I love bananas you can add them to the free breakfast. All in all it was a very pleasant stay. I have already recomended The Cabana Inn to my son.
Very close to attractions , clean , friendly staff Parking was limited
SHORT WALK TO DUVAL AND SIGHTS OF OLD TOWN. STAFF EXTREMELY COURTEOUS AND FRIENDLY. NICE HAPPY HOUR AND CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. ROOM WAS QUIET. NO
The bed was very comfortable...but, it would be good to have had a bath in our bedroom...and we were moved 3 times before we departed and this was in a 4 night stay period...
Beautifull hotel with very friendly and helpfull staff. Late checkout (1500) to do the spectacular jet-ski tour around the island they provide was not a problem at all
Beach front and other amenities makes this hotel stand out from the others in key west Rooms seemed a bit simple for the price
The pool would have been wonderful given the location and views of the ocean, but it was so dirty and unkempt.... We visited the pool nearly every afternoon for the entire week and not once was the pool cleared of leaves, grass, garbage. There was a spot on the pavement that a drink must have spilled or something and it was there for the entire 6 days. I was quite disappointed considering the resort fee is apparently supposed to cover towels/chairs by the pool. Also, it seemed staff was never around to help set up chairs, grab towels and the like, finally we just went and got our own. Very disappointed because this place has so much potential!
Beach and pools are great. Staff on the beach that set us up in our cabana was great, the only positive staff experience we had. Front desk couldn't find our third party reservation so gave us an ultimatum of leave and try to get our money back or stay in a handicap room at current rate. Also told us never to book through a third party...then why do you participate in those sites?! 5 minutes after we were in our room they called and said, oops we found it you're good. Meanwhile charged us $200 to open credit card even though we had prepaid through 3rd party the charged our card another $330 the next day which they could not explain. In fact when i called down to front desk to ask for an explanation they said they were really busy with guests, but would try to assist. I laughed. They then just said it would be refunded at check out with no explanation. Room had dead fruit flies everywhere, it's Florida, I get it. We live here, but I asked the front desk to have someone come clean them up and no action was taken. We made the best of it, always do, but they will not get repeat business from us.
The luxury and good service from the staff at all times. Got help with restaurants, and we also liked the proximity of bar, restaurant and beach to the hotel. That TV cost. They might have included some more things in the servicefee of USD25.
everything incredible hotel wonderful grounds breathtaking hotel INCREDIBLE TOP NOTCH STAFF I could go on and on This is now a must for me in Key West Absolutely nothing
Friendly staff all encountered Beach was dirty with plastic cups all over fishing net washed up on beach not removed piers damaged beach equipment old rooms cold in furniture not inviting landscaping not kept up jet ski's for rent in rough shape.
The hotel is beautiful and the private beach is definately a plus. The pier that you can swim off of as well as the hammocks, games to play and outside dining were fabulous. The drinks were pretty pricey and we were hoping that there would have been more options with the menu between breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Location of the hotel was great. Access to beach and proximity to the downtown was a great asset. Daniel at check in was very helpful.
Good location. They gave us an upgrade to a ocean view with balcony. Room is nice. We didn't like the food at the hotel and it was very overpriced.
Location is beautiful Beach is full of rocks and algae. The public beach next door is much better. First room was filthy and had a broken toilet. Second room was in desperate need of updates
Best location for Key West. Every thing is close by, Not cheap but worth it.Would stay there again Restaurant was closed on the last day of our stay. No idea why.
The location was great - right near the pier and overlooking the ocean. Our room was large (we were in a 1 bedroom suite), but everything was dated in the room. Plus, I found some leftover trash from what I imagine was the previous occupant in the bedroom so seems like housekeeping was not very thorough. Staff at the front desk was ok, but not incredibly helpful, just average.
The location was great, staff at front desk were friendly, the pool area and the rooms were all good and comfortable, bathrooms were nice. Overall very good experience The cupboards in the rooms under tv (518 and 520) were very tatty - chipped etc not good for the image and price we were paying
The location, decor, and service were excellent, and the amenities were most pleasant.
the location is perfect, right in the heart of everything. The decorating is whimsical masking the garage. the pool area is comfortable and friendly. We were able to rent great bicycles right there.
My visit was due to a wedding I attended at the resort. Location was beautiful. Overall the staff were helpful, kind and considerate. The room housekeeper did not understand English and I was unable to get items requested of her.
Room was spacious and clean. Our room had no view; we were practically on a parking lot with cars parked a few feet away. We had asked for a quiet room with a view and we were supposed to get a "view of the Old Town". "Island view" means looking out on a car park! The room had a connecting door to another room and we could hear all from next door (and they from us). Front desk staff quite rude: if you book with Booking.com, you'll automatically get the worst rooms, this is what you get if you go for their low rates..., we were told. There is no beach, just a small pool. However, we were able to leave after 2 nights.
Attentive and responsive staff. The 4:00 am rooster, friendly bird but took his wake up service very seriously. Being located at Mallory , the 5:30 am dumpster collection finished any further attempts to remain in the comfortable bed. Great facility, noisy location.
Customer service and staff was excellent. The view of the Golf of Mexico was paradise.
The location of the resort is better then most, the one LCD/Plasma TV in the room was nice, and the bedding was comfortable. They failed to notify us that the hotel would be under going various construction activities during our stay (water pipe repairs/changes, elevator nearest room didn't function, etc... or that we would be forced to endure daily the excruciating noise of rigs pounding in 100'+ metal beams immediately adjacent to the pool as part of pier repairs. The concierge's changed daily and apparently make a considerable amount of money from referral fees/commissions paid directly to them by vendors providing any and every type of service (boat outings, dinner reservations, car rentals, etc...) to the tourists. This resulted in Concierge B on Monday providing us completely different recommendations then Concierge A had on Saturday. This was so extreme it would have been comical had it not left me with absolutely no faith that any of them were actually interested in meeting my/our needs which is really the heart of what I did not like about this hotel and did not feel was properly represented in the comments shown on Bookings website. This was merely one stop in a lengthy vacation my wife and I took for our 15 year anniversary, but it was supposed to be the highlight as we were there for 10 days and willing to pay for the best of the best throughout. In all reality it was clear that if we had just drove up for the weekend we would have received a better rate and room.
Pool is awesome. Nice rooms. Location is also great. A little difficult to navigate hotel.
Wonderful view from the room of sunset island and sunsets, awesome pool with great drinks and bartenders that'll bring them to you in the pool, great staff, very helpful and knowledgeable, loved every minute of staying here!!! Leaving
