Pros: We loved everything about this hotel! It's so beautiful, clean, and elegant. The employees are very hospitable and accommodating. The location is perfect-just 15 minutes from the airport. It has plenty of restaurants and cafes. Even at night, there was an awesome pool side show. An added bonus is that it has a complimentary airport shuttle that picked us up and dropped us off. The shuttle also dropped us off at the Egyptian Museum for free. This was so convenient! We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Cairo!

Pros: We were greeted with warmth and were very well cared for during our recent two night stay at the Fairmont Nile. The concierge service was excellent and facilitated a half day outing to the pyramids and Sphinx. The guide was an Egyptologist and very engaging. He spoke perfect English. The driver was very pleasant. . Concierge Service also helped us arrange train service to Alexandria including getting the tickets in advance. Christina and Ahmed offered superior service, were delightful to work with, and accommodated all our requests. The manager for the Lobby restaurant and bar, Emad was incrdibly gracious and accommodating. The waitstaff were on the ball, friendly, and well trained . The rooms were spacious, comfortable and beautifully appointed. Very well maintained and immaculate. Highly recommend the restaurant for breakfast overlooking the Nile. Overall, an excellent stay. We would be very pleased to return.
Cons: My husband and I are not smokers. The lobby and restaurant lin all hotels in Egypt —even the most upscale—include sections for smokers and non-smokers. The problem with this is the smoking section was only about 20 feet away from the non-smoking section and it was impossible not to be affected by the smoke. The manager was very helpful and did request that those who were smoking in a non-smoking area near us move to another section where they were permitted to smoke.

Pros: Staff is amazing- super helpful, kind, responsive, courteous, and they go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. Special recognition to Mohamed in reception, Mona Helmy at the Executive lounge, the EXCELLENT housekeeping staff of floor 5 in the Zamalek tower, the dinner and staff of the Soraya Gallery were AMAZING, the bell staff, the staff of the women's changing rooms (the hot tub, sauna, steam room were impeccably clean). The suite in which we stayed was exceptionally clean and staff was attentive at all times during our stay. The hotel is beautiful and you feel like you are experiencing history as you walk around the grounds. Cannot wait to go back to this hotel and encourage all travelers to stay here if they plan to visit Cairo!
Cons: The hotel taxi staff was a great driver, but we did not like that he kept pushing unwanted additional services (i.e. his connections for "transportation" which consisted of overpriced camel/horses to Pyramids with clearly sick and underfed animals; overpriced boat ride. We kept saying no but he would find other ways to have us pay for additional services.

Pros: The room was pretty clean with pool view. If you like more privacy and quietness choose lake view. TV comes with paid tv channels and that is one of the things that other five stars hotels do not usually have in Cairo. Car park is three levels so you will always find a place for your car.
Cons: Water supply was cut for 20 minutes. It was unusual but when someone from the hotel staff called me for my room opinion I mentioned it so she told me it is out of the hotel hands. It was unplanned event from the government.

Cons: They will over charge you more than what is quoted on booking.com. I was quoted $347 on booking.com and when I got to the hotel after my very long flight it had become $502. Then they tried to hit me up with some more erroneous charges when I was leaving. I had to refuse all additional charges vehemently. The general manager was standing right across from me trying to get additional fake charges into their system. Just because they print a piece of paper doesn't mean that you have to pay it. Make a fuss if you must. The shower will switch from warm to scalding hot without any notice and back to cold. One day there was no hot water. Also the carpets looked old and dusty/dirty in room 601. I don't know how this hotel gets to belong to a Hilton. Must be the worst hotel I have stayed in forever. Also always lock your room door with the lock bar, otherwise the service staff will walk in on you.

Cons: Dissapointment wellcoming of reception staff, I made my reservation on kayak website for 2 person with breakfast forUS$ 100 per night, but the hotel asked me to pay 112 mor for each night.. how it comes? the reason that iam not United state citizin. I gave hime two options to solve the issue, the first to cancell my reservation so i can return back my mony from kayak. and secound to contact agent and inform them about this problem but his response was absoulutly negative. He asked me to pay and irefused to pay one cent more. I call the agent from my pocket and wait more than one houre till confirmation comes from agent. My openion if the reservation agent has made a mistake, the hotel should contact them and solve the problem not me. Overall it is very clear that this huge two tower hotel is not well operated, one of those two building is not used long time and the other is 20% occupied.
