Pros: We stayed there for two nights, and later returned a week later. Great location, 15 min to train station, 5 to metro and 15 to Tahirir Square! The rooms are big and clean. Helpful staff and the owner Ahmed was very helpful with evryone making itineraries for Egypt and has been in the business for a long time, so knowledgeable! Top notch place and people!

Pros: I stayed at New Palace from 6th to 27th of July. The hotel is located at the excellent position. 2 minutes to metro, 10-15 to Tahrir square. When you enter the hotel you will be met by a friendly staff working 24/7 ready to cope with any your problem, request or question from something wrong in the room to advice what places to visit or how to prolong your visa. The rooms are larger than in most hotels of this category, very clean, everything is functioning properly. And what’s more important every evening at the balcony you can meet Dr. Ahmed, the owner. Believe, he is monitoring everything, tackling every problem and situation, making the atmosphere warm. I very appreciate the company of Dr. Ahmed, talks with him... As for drawbacks there is nothing, but be ready that you will be living in the downtown, and furniture, for example, is not super modern, but you will have everything for comfortable life. For money I paid I received more than awaited. If I were be able I would give 10/5. Next my trip to Cairo I will stay here again.

Cons: back to new palace after a few days in luxor...more than ever the hotel is clean...quite and very welcoming...special thanks to mister soleiman the maestro of the hotel who made me a discount for the last 2 days,.and miss marwa ...a great person which made our stay pleasant at New Palace Hotel. Finally this place deserve a "place in the sun"... And here...only the wise can understand.

Pros: The location is in the heart of Cairo's down town, very easy to reach, 4 minuets far from the metro station (Ahmed Orabi). The staff was very friendly. We checked out at 12 pm and our bus was at 9 pm. We took our tour and came back to change and take our luggage. They provided a room to use to change. This was very generous of them. They gave us also good advice about places to visit and transport to use. Thanks alot for your hospitality :)

Cons: When we arrived in the night the main door of the building was close and we felt unsecure. The building is old. Big room with balcony, but not confortable. No towels, we have to get them in the reception. No shower gel. Toilet needs to be better and with a better door to close.

Cons: Bathrooms aren't of standardized quality ,some are Excellent others are bad. They claim that they're upgrading all bathrooms and all rooms but they haven't finished yet. The arrival wasn't smooth in spite of telling them my arrival and I've arrived on time so I waited for a couple of hours to check in. On the other hand, they were flexible on checking out time.

Cons: Everything is broken literally everything. Cleanliness isn't a concern for them. The elevator isn't working which means stairs for 6 floors. There's not even a soap in the bathroom. The windows doesn't have any doors which means no sleeping after 5 am.

They said that the breakfast is continental but they give us bread(that is hard like stones) with an egg and cheese(not worth 50egp, better you walk to McDonald down the road for better breakfast). The toilet clog a lot, no tissue paper, no towels, no shower gel, nothing at all. 300egp per night is inappropriate with this condition
