Pros: Location at Pottsdamer Platz is excellent; next to the former wall, and well located for easy access to most points in the city. Checking in on Sunday morning after a flight from the US, tends to be iffy, however, the Ritz had a room waiting for me, and were expecting me. The hotel interior is beautiful. Rooms are well appointed, large, especially for European standards, and very quiet. The bar and restaurant was excellent. Only quibble I had was with the gym: small, smelled, and illequiped.

Pros: Very attentive and helpful staff in a beautiful facility. Chocolate Day special event was wonderful. The room was very nice but not warm enough. Hot chestnuts as pocket warmers are a nice touch.
Cons: The heating system was not adequate for the cold weather and we had one whole day with no hot water. Breakfast is pricey.

Cons: Breakfast, while good, is overpriced. They should just make all rooms €15 per person per night more expensive, make breakfast inclusive, and charge the outlandish rate for non-guests. Oh, and put back roast potatoes into the breakfast menu! For those of us with cholesterol issues, all the eggs, cheese and sausages are useless, and make breakfast devoid of anything hot other than tea or coffee.

Pros: From the moment I arrived I was greeted warmly and treated like a valued guest. The service in all areas of the hotel was the best I have experienced at any hotel. The rooms are beautifully updated with very well appointed bathrooms. Entertained clients on three occasions at the Curtain Club. Could not have asked for better service. Nicholas in the Curtain Club should be commended for a job well done. This will certainly be my go to hotel in Berlin for future stays.

Pros: Great design and features. The included breakfast buffet had soooo many options. The hotel is and feels new and the location is great for getting around Berlin - just a short walk to U2 station or a slightly longer short walk to the large station at Potsdamer Platz
Cons: Pillows were extremely thin and soft. I could not get enough neck support and woke up sore. Climate control is done through the TV but it never worked for me so I was at the mercy of the hotel temp.

Pros: The location was amazing! We didn't even realize there was a Ubahn station at the edge of the hotel with cars going through the center of the hotel until our second day there. Brandenburg Tor was only a short walk away. the staff was friendly.
Cons: I heard the breakfast was expensive, so we walked to the nearby cafes instead. They claimed you could control the temperature from the TV, but we couldn't cool the room down any.

Pros: Upon check-in, we were given an upgrade for free. Since we had come in early, they stored our luggage and we were able to go around and start sightseeing immediately. Potsdamer Platz U-bahn, S-bahn and DB banhof are right outside the hotel. Rooms are also very spacious and well-appointed.

Pros: After checking into a terrible hostel, we decided we couldn't stay there and quickly found Aletto. The place is new, clean, well laid out and a very decent price for what you get. The AC in the room was a huge plus and the bathroom was so nice. The staff was so incredibly friendly. We were able to get anywhere we needed on the transit system and theres plenty of food and shopping near by. Highly recommend this hotel, great value.

After yelling at 10pm for their system loosing my booking it miraculously appeared but there were no rooms available, so they sent me to another hotel in their chain were they made me pay an additional 50 euro/night for a non-smoking room. Pros: The location was less than a block from several bakeries and restaurants, a fresh produce market, grocery store, and a U-bahn station, and few minutes walk to a shopping mall. Pleasant staff was easy to communicate with, and helpful when I needed it.
Cons: The bed was firmer than most, which I padded with a comforter to make more comfortable. Price was pretty high for a relatively low frills hotel. No pool or exercise facility. Restaurant seemed overpriced, as well, considering the several inexpensive restaurants and cafes surrounding the hotel.

Pros: I found the bed comfortable enough and slept well, helped also by curtains that did a good job of keep the outside light outside. Excellent size of both the bed/living room and the bathroom. Location conveniently accessed via public transport from airport and likewise easy to travel further from.
Cons: My checkin and food experience was terrible. Despite booking the room online and being a member of the "loyalty" program Discovery, I was required to hand-write my details on a form at checkin. What sort of poor service is that? How is that showing any indication of loyalty form the hotel's side? Breakfast was likewise ordinary. I put the breakfast card out on the door before going to bed, but no-one thought to actually collect it, so my intended breakfast time came and went without any food. Fortunately someone happened to wander past shortly before I intended to give up and just spend my breakfast money elsewhere. It might have been better to do so. While the muesli was passable, the "cappuccino" tasted like some insipid mix between instant coffee and dishwater. On both counts, not planning on returning.

Pros: Best location possible (in my opinion). Only a few minutes walking distance from the central Zoo train station, and from there it's easiest to get to everywhere in Berlin. Also very close to Kurfurstendamm street, in which you can always find something to do. Rooms were quite spacious and comfortable. Price was fine.

Pros: This hotel is located in an upscale area of Berlin. Many folks visiting the hotel would like the fact that there's lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. The hotel didn't provide many amenities like a gym or on sight laundry but the room was clean and provided what I wanted I quiet room at an affordable price that included internet. In addition I really like the fact that the room came with a Juliet balcony to allow fresh air into the room.

Cons: Making our own beds every day. Dingy room No tea or coffee making facilities. Surly reception staff Coffee shop and restaurant usually closed and no availability of hot drinks except for full buffet breakfast Wifi available, but kept dropping out
