The location is perfect, the staff is friendly, breakfast has good varieties. Nothing to mention
Rooms are very comfort no nothing
The restaurant of the hotel is excellent I have stayed in this hotel many times. This time I saw scratched and not properly cleaned floor of the room, missing shower caps and sewing kits, lack of prompt replenishment of tea and coffee in the room...
Rooms were comfortable, large and clean, bathroom was spacious with both shower and a bathtub which was great, location is excelent, the staf was pretty helpful. Breakfast, although very expensive, was excelent! At arrival we were told that we were already pre-charged by booking.com and cannot have the bill which we needed for a company. This was strange since in past experiences, booking.com was only for booking and I would be charged directly on the spot. After talking to a manager, receptionist told us that he could give us the bill afterall. Wellness did not work (besides fitness) which was one of the main reasons for booking Le Meridien. Minibar was complimentar but contained only: 2 waters, 2 colas and 1 beer?!!!! I would rather pay than have such a poor choice! I realice you can call room service and order, but I personaly do not like that and I find it disturbing. Also, maid managed to come in in my room twice in the same morning, once I was half naked - I hoped 5 star hotel had a sistem of checking if anyone is still in the room or at least knocking... And at the end, breakfast was 29 EUR, and there is only public garage which you have to pay.
The room was very good, it was very comfort and the location was perfect we want to have a dinner, we wait so long to the bar because they couldn’t arrange it to serve to all the guests, after we sit on the table for having dinner, nobody came to serve us. This was very unprofessional
fantastic service, furnishings, and location.
Location Cleanliness of your room
Le Meridien is one of the finest hotels I have stayed in. The room was large, beautifully appointed and the staff could not have been more helpful. The location is fabulous with the Albertina art gallery, museums and the Opera House within a couple of blocks of the entrance. I would absolutely recommend this premier hotel to everyone! Nothing
Location and hotel staff style of the hotel
Very nice modern interior
The breakfast was amazing and the decorations also the reception and the cleaning Thank you very much .. From kuwait Nothing .. Every thing was fabulous
We liked everything about the Le Meridien Vienna and would certainly stay there again.
Nice rooftop restaurant with a good view of the city, and the staff is polite and attentive to your needs. The rooms are clean and comfortable. They do not have a dedicated concierge, and front desk staff was poorly trained and equipped to provide the customer service you would expect of a concierge. In the concierge capacity, they are neither proactive to support their guests, nor do they have the knowledge or experience to meet the needs of their guests Also, the window shutters in the rooms do not effectively block out light when you are trying to sleep.
Had a rest no
Wi-Fi is available everywhere. The business room downstairs is very convinient. You can even use a printer free of charge. Wanted to stay longer. Breakfast is too expensive (31 euros per person), and items within a room mini bar are also expensive. The bathtub and the shower are not well aligned and the water runs through the rim to the floor. Else, everything is perfect.
We loved everything about the Grand. The hotel staff were friendly and responsive. The location was superb and the hotel itself beautiful. Our room was sumptuous with a huge bathroom, closets, and all the amenities. Internet access in the rooms was free as was the fitness center. We did not eat breakfast in the hotel, but we ordered several dinners from room service and they were delicious and an excellent value.
It is hard to say just one thing about this fabulous hotel. . . it is superior in every regard. The staff are exceedingly gracious and helpful, so service is superb. The food is beyond delicious, so it is a gourmet's dream. The rooms and hotel decor in general are absolutely gorgeous. . .I can't begin to enumerate all the wonderful touches in the bathroom alone. . .so a designer would feel at home. But I must mention cleanliness. . . it is immaculate. Also, the business center was terrific-- computers (with printers) at your fingertips, easy to use and incredibly convenient. One can hardly do better than to stay at the Grand Hotel Wien. It made our vacation even more memorable. There was not one thing negative to say about this excellent hotel.
breakfast was limited vs. other LHW hotels
lovely atmosphere in hotel, clean, comfortable rooms and friendly staff
Outstanding service NA
Location was outstanding and facilities were very impressive. A storm blew through one night and something outside swinging and banging in the wind awakened us. Called the front desk around 1 am and was told they would look into it, but the banging continued and we were not called back.
The location was perfect! We really don't have any complaints other than we would have liked the hotel bar to have been able to make a proper margarita.
Fantastic location, very helpfull and nice staff, beatufull room and bathroom. I missed prospect about Wien, maps and other turistic material in lobby or in bell desk. Also I think that breakfest should be included in price of the room. We are not in America.
Rooms are fairly large for European standards and the location is great. The bed is fairly good and the bathroom game is strong. Found the overall staff service to be lacking. Concierge typically jumps at opportunity to provide service/advice but not here. For the most part, the hotel bars and restaurants are over-hyped and completely over-priced with much better alternatives just a few steps away (both quality and price). Smell of stale smoke hits you just as you enter the building - thanks to a smoking lounge conveniently located on the second level. Hotel wifi is a total joke and not to be relied upon. Hotel includes restricted wifi with your room rate and asks ridiculous payment for slight improvement. In my experience even budget accommodations provide this service infinitely better. Overall, this is a stuffy hotel situated for the stuffy traveler. Sounds of enjoyment or laughter are non-existent in common areas, which speaks volumes. Call yourself luxury, and pay for memberships in luxury hotel associations all you want - it doesn't make it so.
Location was great. Hotel was beautiful as was the room.
location big room but classic furniture no steam ironing only normal also iron it is just fine, i can iron better lobby is small
good attitude, big room, nice athmosphere Construction work in front of my window, very noisy
close to the center and opera house
The ambience of the hotel location, atmosphere.
location of hotel excellent. hotel was very comfortable, well maintained & lovely character I was not aware that the gym/leisure centre was not at the hotel until I enquired when I was there. Also when I did go to he gym I was not able to find it as I was not given its address just the voucher & not good directions. I felt proper directions with address should be given. majority of staff was very helpful & courtious 7
Walking distance to shopping area and hotel size is not too big. But also the hotel seems not too pack with people. As my flight arrives at 11am and I requested if I could check-in early - the reply was rather unhelpful. It would be more appreciative if the Manager could somehow help/allow guests to check-in (even at) 1 hour earlier, it would have been appreciated.
hotel atmosphere, location, the large bedrooms, value for the money, nothing
We booked in advance and paid half price for a room that would otherwise have been way out of our league. We had a great stay. The location is fantastic, right in the busy city centre. The staff were great and the rooms were to die for. A nice end to our holiday, with a little luxury.
Location, Location, Location. In the center of Wien shopping and sites.
location of the hotel was perfect , close to all you'd like to see in Vienna , also close to underground . it has a unique touch of history bath room was not what it should have been in a hotel with this # of stars / history , paint was falling off of the wood surfaces , there were strange stains in the corners ,
Fantastic location to all amenities. Beautifully furnished, relaxing and staff so pleasant & helpfull. Food amazing! Thought the breakfast was a little expensive in comparison with lunch & dinner
Staff was friendly and attentive. The fact that there was not free internet and worse than that the charge was per device. it should be per room if anything.
Central location excellent for "classical. Vienna". Concierge's recommendations excellent. The hotel is by no means cheap, but well worth the expense. Don't bother with the Vienna hop on hop off bus tours. Better to do classical Vienna on foot and go to Schoenbrunn on the U bahn
We were upgraded to an excellent room.
Enjoing in Sachers Lobby and Coffe and Tea bars (Green room especially), excelent breakfast and finally in our room. everithing was ok
location, interior smokers room
our room was very comfortable and lovely looking - of course I wish there had been a view, but even without it we liked the room
pure old world luxury
Beautiful room and attentive staff. Can't think of anything I don't like about the hotel.
spacy room with high ceiling, modern applaiences, excellent position toward city express breakfast for 20 euros is rediculas, dirty carpet in elevator,
The rooms were clean and the hotel staff were very friendly. Also, the location of the hotel is almost perfect, where you can go to most of Vienna's main attractions just by walking distance.
Style, cleanness, comfort The breakfast in't reach for choose.
Ladge soft bed! Nice rooms. Receptionists were very helpful and friendly. Breacfast was too expencive and menue was difficult to understand.
Good locations, relaxed atmosphere, the room was in perfect condition, no sign of wear One day the Internet didn't work, but few hours later it worked perfectly.
very friendly service!!!
I liked very much the room service, and the room
Comfy beds and friendly staff The fan in the lavatory did not work. The wardrobe units looked a bit basic for a luxury hotel, though they were functional. The food in the restaunant was disappointing fior the price. Ambitious but not very tasty.
Excellent rooms, excellent service, prime location.
Incredible hotel, attention to detail and service was impeccable and the design of the rooms elegant but also highly functional and comfortable. Right in the middle of everything but with a quiet park across the street you feel a bit tucked away, we honestly spent more time in the room than we probably should have...!
I had laudry picked up by hand friday 16:30 P.M. and as it was not returned saturday afternoon as promised I went to the reception about 10:30 P.m and asked what had happened. Nothing came of that however until I went to the reception sunday morning and asked for it again. The laundry was then returned, unwashed and just tossed on the bed without any explanation or an i-am-sorry-note. Checking out half an hour later nobody mentioned anything about it at all either. Deplorable.
The suite was wonderful, and we had excellent room service. So while we lived in a luxurious suite, I felt at home because of the history of the hotel and the way it was preserved and still alive. Actually, I whish they would not play modern music - not even music I might enjoy - in such a fabulous, historic setting as the lobby. First impressions are important.
The elegance, superb staff, excellent location, old world charm Smoking in the Bristol bar
the service no
The overall ambiance of the hotel evolked elegant Vienna - exactly as we were hoping for. Staying across the street from the Opera was fantastic! Would like coffee included in room
Old world charm with modern facilities, good service, good location
The best thing was position, especially with respect to the opera. The room was first-class; well-presented given the (limited) size. Wifi should be free, not charged for. (This is an observation, not a complaint.)
very quite rooms, The room service was poor, not all the staff for the bathroom was delivered, and it would be advisable to pay more attention on duty performance of roomservice staff
bathroom and sanitory equipment out of order as well as heardryer
Limited Gym facilities
we like the position, the service was very good ,very clean, very good restaurant.romantic also.we will go again
The beauty of the public areas and the room.
i liked the point that i have lived those nights in a more than 150 years old building, hotel imperial is a perfect gate for a tourist to live the old vienna no complaints
room needs maintenance, very expensive comparison of what you get..
The stay was made great with the excellent staff and their service. NA
elegant clean historic building... pleasant unobtrusive personel
This is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. Outstanding service and everyone makes you so welcome even though we were only staying for one night.
Gorgeous hotel accentuated in red, gold and marble. Fitting for royalty. Excellent service for the most part. Nicest hotel I have had the pleasure of staying at. Concierge wasn't the most friendly. Would have loved a pool/ jacuzzi option. Understand it's a non traditional request, but it would be a nice addition.
calling from the hotel is to expensive,i made two calls to my friend in austria and my bill was 450- dollar for maybe 40 minutes, thats grazy
Fantastic location - ideal for shopping. Our room was very spacious - huge windows and a lovely view. Semi-transparent sliding bathroom doors took some getting used to.
Perfectly located in the heart of the city Only one elevator, sometimes you have to wait too much (in alternative you can use emergency stairs). I requested the reception to call a restaurant to book, they didn't do it replying it was not necessary and when I arrived there, the restaurant's kitchen was already closed (9 PM).
It was nice
Room, free access to PC and internet, breakfast Nothing
Everything in the center u may wanna see is in walking distance: albertina, hoffburg palace, rathouse, opera house, st. Stephen's cathedral etc. plenty of restaurants near by, walking zone kantner strasse around the corner. sky bar and do&co bars are in 3 minute walk, both with great views and sky has live music. Basically the hotel to be if you are not a stay in the toom type of guy/girl. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Rooms are very simple and small, but what do you care if there is so much to see in Vienna. They are clean and got everything u may need or want. I got this hotel for the own bar and the decent number of rooms thinking that as a solo traveler it will be a great way to meet new people. Low in behold - the bartender is very nice and knowlegeble, speaks great english ( even though i know german), but the bar itself is dead. There are barely 6-8 guests at a time, you wont be meeting anyone there. it is slightly cheaper, than bars on kentner strasse, so I would stop buy and have a drink before heading out. I had early tours every morning, never quite figured out if they provided breakfast, it certainly was NOT available in the bar, as the hotel papers claimed.
Location of the hotel There was no bath
Excellent location, good breakfast, friendly staff, nice bar. With window open in the night it was a little noisy from outside goings on. Was ok once window was shut.
Location and comfy bed and friendly stuff. Only minor dislike - there was no hair shampoo in the bathroom, only body shower gels. Quite unpleasant to find out while under shower.
room & wc & bed was perfectly clean and comfortable. Position of TV in the room was elegant :) Interior lighting of the room was excellent. And ofcourse the location of the hotel was absolutely fantastic. the elevator was out of order in the morning during breakfast time and probably takes 2-3 hours to fix...
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The size of the room. Perhaps next time I should not book a single room :)
the front desk was very kind and warm, they got us our room early (7:00am) even though check in was at 2:00pm excellent location, close to everything in the city center!
Location, close to the Opera and in the top center, very large room, excellent breakfast, nice, polite, helpful staff Noise from the street during the night and the smell in the bathroom sometimes, but it's ok.
the location, size of rooms, breakfast, efficient assistance and friendly attitude of the staff in the lobby and staff in general. too much noise from the street below during the night
Location Thank you
Clean ,comfortable , well furnished good size room , excellent breakfast and only a few minutes walk from the shopping centre and many good restaurants .
The upgrade to a junior suite. The breakfast was overpriced.
The hotel is in a perfect location. The staff are very friendly and helpful. I would stay here again!
Location and personel was very good as well as breakfast too None
Austrian traditional old style. Location
Location in the city center they did not wash floor in the bathroom
We found the hotel suitable for us, who were going to spend most of our time sightseeing. The location was perfect, the room was comfortable with enough space and a high ceiling. The use of the computer in the lounge was a definite bonus. The bathroom facilities were meagre (shampoo in sachets) and the bath towels were definitely too small.
Personal is ok and tries to fix things if there is some trouble. If you are in Vienna as a tourist and will not spend much time in your room then this is an ok hotel. However if you are here in business and need to work in the evenings, then choose another hotel. The location is very good. Internet is free of charge. Fair breakfast. It's old (not charming old, just old). Internet is only availible down in the lobby "business center". Tv was an old and small crt. Two light bulbs were burnt out when I arrived. To much money (100€/night) for this standard. The hotel do not just check your credit card when you book the room, they are actually allocating the cost in advance. Very irritating!
The hotel was centrally located, easy access to the walking area in Vienna.
Best location, good hotel staff, good breakfast and excellent espresso, old fashioned rooms and very old equpment, very laut nois from the church near by
I liked all that I had in the hotel (see 2. The hotel). May be the bell ring though it was something unusual.
location center of city service and quality of food and drinks are rather poor, even in the so called bar/lounge but nevertheless the location /price is fair
too many places for smoking = smells bad. hotel located in the pedestrian area so taxis can't approach it.
The hotel is very well located Since I work with computers, I really did not have the desktop in the room
It's location is very central, the rooms are big and comfortable and the breakfast is good. It would be nice to have airconditioning in the rooms....
The location, the breakfast, kindness of the staff, quiet of the room
Hospitality of staff were perfect.
This is a great hotel. Location is very nice for sight seeing. The room is wonderful and comfortable. Toilette is separated from bathroom, and bathtub is really nice. We can have a bottle of water for free. We can enjoy beautiful white birches from the window of the restaurant for breakfast. This is romantic. This hotel is expensive, and we expected more amenity such as shampoo, rinse, body soap, etc.
The location is superb! We could sit on our balcony and watch the Opera across the street. The rooms are very nice, neat and clean. The breakfast is great with a great variety of different food. Also the receptionists are very helpful and kind.
Location, location, location!!! The hotel is fanastically situated in the heart of the city. It was rather noisy in the rooms as they overlooked the busy street. They are relly strict about check-in times (unlike most other places I've ever stayed in).
Great location in the center of the city. Hotel rooms comfortable and staff very helpful.
Great hotel. Not much pomp and frills. But the staff and room were perfect with a view of the Ringstraße. The desk clerk came out and opened our cab door as we headed to a Ball. Just a class act!
close to center and within walking distance to shops and cafes.
Excellent location and transport connections. Spacious and comfortable room. Good solid breakfast. I missed a lamp on the table for reading / writing. I travel for work and need light on a desk/table to work with.
- Bed was comfortable. It's pretty soft so for people who want really hard beds, this place might not be good to choose. - Included refrigerator. Being someone who doesn't eat very much, it's nice to store food, there's a microwave for reheating. You can even get cold drinks as Europe hardly ever have ice. - Centralized heating, you can set a default temperature much like a regular hotel room. - Location. It's about a block from the State Opera House and near multiple Karlsplatz entrances. Closest one that you won't have to wait to cross the street is the exit on Elizabeth-Strabe. - Roomy. I got an apartment which might still be pretty large for 2-3 people. You will usually see a whole family of 3+ stay here. - Daily House-Keeping. I usually put my "Do Not Disturb" sign, but if you don't, the hotel staff will go into the apartment, vacuum, straighten out the beds, mop the bathroom floor if wet, and take away trash. Make sure to put away everything from the counters and tables if you don't want them tossed. - I really liked one of the staff members at the desk. He was very helpful when I asked him questions. The others didn't seem like they were comfortable speaking English as I would normally get short one or two word answers while I would see them be more helpful with questions they know the answer to (Ex. regarding construction). - Decoration. I liked the orchids in the room and the glossed-glass divider really complimented the look. - Spotty internet. Only chance you get internet is in the evening time so for the people who need to search for travel/tourist information or plane check-ins, better do them at those times. During the day, you sometimes won't get any internet at all. I'm not sure if this is normal or not considering the hotel construction. - Hard to find. Due to the hotel construction, for someone who has never been to Vienna, it was hard to find the building as the large sign at the front is usually covered up by construction. Unless you've been there before, it's hard to know that you have to go to the side of the building past a wooden door in order to get to the check-in and check-out office. It wasn't until the end of my week stay, did I see paper signs being put around the building pointing to the temporary hotel entrance door. - No staff notifications. For any business, if there's construction, every employee should be notified of any annoyances and non-emergencies/drills. For two days during my week stay, there were random alarms blaring loudly for about a minute. One of those times, it woke me up. Customers should be notified about this prior to the event in the chance where it may have been a real emergency. - Semi-clean. It's clean enough for an average person, but I'm part germaphobe. When I looked at the apartment, there were certain stains all over the place (Ex. on the rugs and sofas). I also brought new slippers to use and by the end of the trip, it was pretty much greyed out which means most likely the floors are only swept/vacuumed and never mopped. The refrigerator had a stench or maybe old food from previous customers that I think a nice box of baking soda for every refrigerator would be enough to take the smell away. The restroom (both toilet-room and shower-room) also left a certain mildew smell. Considering the small hole patches on the tile walls, I forsee the state of the apartment may get worse if nothing else is done to keep the apartment in better condition. - Slow elevator. It only fits 3 people and it takes awhile for it to go up and down. The elevator also doesn't have an up button so even if you want to walk up some flights of stairs, you would have to press the down button and hope no one's going down in order to go up to your floor. - Decoration. I already expected it considering the photos, but the face paintings tend to be creepy like eyes following you around the room. I had Skype calls and some people also pointed out the paintings and why there are so many faces staring at you.
