location of the hotel was perfect , close to all you'd like to see in Vienna , also close to underground . it has a unique touch of history bath room was not what it should have been in a hotel with this # of stars / history , paint was falling off of the wood surfaces , there were strange stains in the corners ,

Walking distance to shopping area and hotel size is not too big. But also the hotel seems not too pack with people. As my flight arrives at 11am and I requested if I could check-in early - the reply was rather unhelpful. It would be more appreciative if the Manager could somehow help/allow guests to check-in (even at) 1 hour earlier, it would have been appreciated.

The location is unbeatable. There was inadequate information in the room about the facilities. The staff were not very helpful.

the location is excellent, very good sound isolation, excellent restaurant, friendly and helpful staff, modern design be aware that the hotel has rooms with bath and with only showers. The showers are excellent, by the way

Perfectly located in the heart of the city Only one elevator, sometimes you have to wait too much (in alternative you can use emergency stairs). I requested the reception to call a restaurant to book, they didn't do it replying it was not necessary and when I arrived there, the restaurant's kitchen was already closed (9 PM).

The location is great!

There were two things that I liked best about my stay at Hotel Kaiserin Elisabeth. The location and the room. The hotel is tucked just a few steps from St. Stephen's Square and the main shopping high street. The room was comfortable, the bed was cozy, and the large shower with multi-shower heads was welcome after a road trip to Vienna and an all-day walk of the city. The buffet-style breakfast (which was quite good) was an option for single room but automatically included in the price for a double. I prefer the choice to opt-out as I'm not much into breakfast buffets and like eating outside the hotel. Parking was an additional 32€ / day. There was some construction noise ongoing but it didn't keep me from a deep sleep.

too many places for smoking = smells bad. hotel located in the pedestrian area so taxis can't approach it.

Good placement

Personal is ok and tries to fix things if there is some trouble. If you are in Vienna as a tourist and will not spend much time in your room then this is an ok hotel. However if you are here in business and need to work in the evenings, then choose another hotel. The location is very good. Internet is free of charge. Fair breakfast. It's old (not charming old, just old). Internet is only availible down in the lobby "business center". Tv was an old and small crt. Two light bulbs were burnt out when I arrived. To much money (100€/night) for this standard. The hotel do not just check your credit card when you book the room, they are actually allocating the cost in advance. Very irritating!

We found the hotel suitable for us, who were going to spend most of our time sightseeing. The location was perfect, the room was comfortable with enough space and a high ceiling. The use of the computer in the lounge was a definite bonus. The bathroom facilities were meagre (shampoo in sachets) and the bath towels were definitely too small.

Very good breakfast, excellent location Construction going on at the building --> lift not functioning; Rooms could only be reached via outside walk. Not too great in case of bad weather.

central location and room which was large & airy access with car very difficult then was asked on checkout for cash for car parking instead of adding cost to Visa bill

We've stayed here before and will do again. It's location is terrific and the hotel is delightiful and will be even better once the renovations are completed - both the hotel's and its neighbours.

Location Room wasn't as nice as pictures. No hand basin in toilet.

The central location. The staff on arrival were not helpful and could not provide correct directions to the parkig facilities.
