Cons: The parking is quite expensive 18€/day. Airconditioning is working at the maximum so you’ll freeze in the room and it’s imposible to control - you can only turn off or on - no instructions how to set up.

Cons: Air in room was so dry that after waking up, my whole throat felt like scorched desert (every day). Maybe it was caused by air conditioning, I don't know - but after 2 nights I disabled it completely and issue was still present. Maybe it sounds unimportant, but it impacts your whole day, as you had sore throat because of that. I travel quite a lot, including to regions where you have air conditioning 24/7 and never had such problem.

Pros: The first impression after arriving at the place, looking at the hotel from the streetside is not very encouraging - the place looks more like a low-category motel from American movies. However, everything changes when you enter the room. Inside is amazingly clear. The place is cleaned super professionally and for a high gloss. Everything is very clean: beds, bedding, sheets, cabinets, shelves ... The bathroom is so extremely clean and neat that it looks like just renovated. I'm very impressed! The serving staff are very nice and friendly. Although I made an emergency reservation 15 minutes before closing the reception in the middle of the night, and we have arrived a few minutes after the official reception hours, the employee served us in a super professional and nice way.

Cons: Well it is definitely not a 24/7 reception. Hotel said they are charging extra fee if you arrive to check in after midnight. We arrived 15 mins to midnight and the entrance was locked! I had to call the gentleman,when he said “wait 5 mins” - UNPROFESSIONAL! He came and still wanted to charge us for checking in late,even though we were there before midnight... Charging 12 euro for parking saying we do not take responsibility for any damages and leave the keys with us, otherwise,go outside and park. FOR REAL? There was no one present during check out.

Cons: Nothing really. The area is rather modest and the walk to the U-bahn is deserted at night but for the money, ease of access to transport connections and the comfort of the accommodation, ActiLingua suited me perfectly.

Cons: There were two showers but one was broken and wobbly and broke completely on the last day. The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. The TV was small and did not have any international programs, only local language programs. The location was out of town so to get into the centre of Vienna you had to either have a car or take public transport. However, there was a tram very near to the property.

Pros: Good location, relatively new property. I got upgraded to a large comfortable family room. Efficient check in and check out. No frills, new, clean hotel.
Cons: Room was quite cold and not heated prior to my arrival. Took a while to warm up. Relatively high price for a single room without breakfast on a weekend.

Pros: Beds were comfy.
Cons: 100% not a 4* hotel, we paid for a double room and were put in a twin room having to push the beds together. There were scuffs and stains all over the bed frames, walls, table and bathroom shelves, a blocked shower drain, broken shower door (also no bathroom door? Very bizarre) and no toilet bin. I've never stayed in a hotel that does not provide complimentary tea and coffee with a kettle in-room, instead they take 50€ and insist you pay for drinks at their bar. Miles away from the city centre. I have stayed at numerous hotels in the centre of Vienna that cost less and lived up to expectations. 'Service with a smile' does not exist here.

Cons: Shower was a little bit exposed, if I was sharing the room with someone I didn't know too well they would be able to see me shower.

Cons: It was weird that we had to pay and then give extra deposit for a room - that never happened before in any place i've been. No fridge, nor mini-bar in the room.

Cons: On arrival we were told we could check in from 2pm, that then changed to 4pm. If the arrival time is different make that clear on the website. Especially when people are travelling from the UK and have flown over.

Cons: We stopped to sleep at 12am (very tired, after 16 hours of route) and the receptionist wasn’t Nice at all, she did the checkin in slow motion, he asked for 50€ of warranty (no idea why) and the housekeeper entered in our room at 7am... of course, couldn’t sleep after that...

Cons: You might be better off getting breakfast in the city - while the bread was fresh, cold cuts and cheese was of excellent quality the overall choice just a bit too minimalistic considering the 11 eur/person fee. No warm breakfast option, unless you consider cold boiled eggs to be one. Coffee completely forgettable..you will end up going for a proper one anyway.

Cons: There were building works on either side of the building. These aren't showstoppers and obviously only relevant around the time of the review. However, the A/C was quite weak so we had to have the windows open which meant it was noisier in the morning and we had insects flying in later in the day. A kettle in the room would have been nice (I know, I know, it is something we Brits like:-) ).
