Pros: The Axel hotel was clearly recently redone to the highest standards. Its clean, fresh and the walkway to the rooms is a work of art. My room was huge! All the staff were so friendly and helpful
Cons: Be warned that the music from downstairs can be heard in the rooms. But the dont start too early and it always quiets down by 10. Its just that sneeky naptime which you need to plan. :-)

Pros: Staff was very helpful even though I didn’t speak Spanish. Helped me with everything from hotel to night clubs. Steps from the beautiful private beach.
Cons: To no fault of theirs, it was not as close to the clubs as I wanted to be. 10-15 euro cab ride home each way.

Pros: Fantastic location for us to take a break during a 2 week tour of Spain. We loved the sunshine, pool, beaches, bars and restaurants all within a short walk. The hotel room was clean, roomy and offered a great balcony view of the ocean. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
Cons: The hotel décor was dated and there was wear and tear evident on furniture and flooring.

Pros: Staff were extremely friendly & helpful. The location is great if you want to walk (10mins) to the Dalt Vila (Old Town) for dinner, it's also short cab rides away from the beach clubs & nightclubs too. Rooms and hotel itself are modern & clean.
Cons: Not much we didn't like. It has a pool, but we didn't use it. Didn't look very nice and was more for families. But we didn't pick it for the pool & its facilities, we wanted location.

Pros: Very good location on the beach in a quieter part of Ibiza. Walking distance from old-town and Port of Ibiza. Very nice pool to hang out in and the staff were excellent. Room was functional and the bathrooms very nice (and big).
Cons: Room was serviced only once for the four days I was there. Not sure why...as a single traveller I did not mind, but if I had been there with my companion or family, would have been a hassle.

Cons: Horrible staff who try to cheat customers. They say it has AC and the ac when on is Heat only! They never mention to clients that it’s a heater only. I had a horrible sleep sweating then when I asked them to give me late checkout to try to sleep on cool while windows open the supervisor simply said no and that it’s my fault for not knowing it’s best only even though the thermostat clearly says cool! Horrible staff that cheat customers.

Cons: Service at the hotel was terrible especially at the front desk. I made my reservation through AMOMA.com and it was not clear on how the booking was going to be managed, the number of people and beds were not clear in the reservation. The older man that was at the front desk when we checked in was rude and did not help or offer any options to accommodate the 4 of us into one room. I understood the room only had 3 beds which wasn't a problem for us as we were only going to be in the room for a few hours before taking off to our next destination, therefore sleeping/using the beds was not an issue for us. He could've suggested that we pay for the extra person in the room despite having one bed short (we didn't care) but instead he was adamant that only 3 of us were allowed to go up to the room. We ended up having to pay for the 4th person when I checked out which we had no problem with but the old guy gave us a hard time and didn't offer us that option. The room was not what I had expected, maybe this is the standard for Europe but definitely not in the US. I wouldn't stay at this hotel again.

Pros: Husband, son and I were in Ibiza for a couple of days celebrating husband’s birthday. Chose the Royal Plaza for its location and facilities. It is in a quiet street, a short stroll from the old part of town and Dalt Vila. The family room was a good size and, although the decor is a little dated, everywhere is very clean and well maintained. The roof top terrace with bar and pool was very welcome after a few hours of exploring in the heat! We only had one breakfast in the hotel, which was good if a little overpriced. If you’ve not bought breakfast as part of your booking, then head to Nude cafe which is a short walk away for a delicious and healthy range of options at very reasonable prices and possibly the best coffee in town!

Cons: Staff was not friendly at all, Free parking is not an option at all as the current capacity is up to 8 cars, Breakfast is average The hotel needs renovation and it is definitely not a 4th star hotel.
