The staff were very attentive and helpful. Everyone is very friendly and it is obvious that they just want to please. Is you stay on the upper floors there is a special area for guests to enjoy free happy hour and breakfast. This would have to be the best hotel I have stayed in in China.
The staff and comfort of this hotel is just about second to none. Hotel was very quiet and this might have to do with rates still being quite high even in these recession times.
Had a Junior Suite which was very spacious and comfortable with all amenities. Hotel not new, but in good shape and clean. Pool and Gym unfortunately in basement and rather small. Service very attentive and friendly. Restaurants in hotel good. Shoppingcenters around. Restaurants beaches and bars only to reach convinient by taxi. Would choose again this hotel in Qingdao. Everything was ok.
very good location. It will be good to had more european food
The staff is terrific. Interesting people. Lovely deck and view. English speaking. Accommodating. The castle has separate buildings. My room was bottom level room and musty. After 10 min. I had a headache. The staff relocated me. New room also had a smell, but not nearly as bad as 1st. Shower didn't drain. Food was OK, but my 1st time in China.
I have stayed at this hotel several times in the past and have always been happy with it. The location is ideal and it's a good place for the money. The air conditioning was the not turned on for the year yet and it was often horribly hot in the room even though it was comfortable outside and even in the hallway.
we liked the location, the hotel is situated near the olimpic center. Most of the staff does not speak english very well. The loundry service was horribly expensive - each item was charged as much as one kg loundry was charged in other places. We came here for our honeymoon and the overall feeling was of dissappointment. The room Was not ventilated enough and smelled weird, it's design was very basic with stained carpet. Bathroom and kitchen were far from being inviting. Channel TV had only few channels all in Chinese, the room key (card) was annoying - the door was opened usually after three attempts.
good location. good service.
modern-chinese design furniture in room & entrance. cleaned well. hotel staff is kind.some of them speaks English well. no refredgerator in room
Amazing beautiful & tasty restaurant. We enjoyed every breakfast and lunch. The good-looking restaurant facade of Hakka's style, and food tastes noble & rich. We couldn't find better place than here. Staffs were very kind, some speaks English, and one speaks Japanese. The first room we invited smelled musty...however, as we asked, they got another room for us. It will be better if only gowns were in equipment.
People - Susan and the staff were both very welcoming and worked hard to ensure we had a great time. Place - a very interesting piece of architecture and fit-out. Eating - the eating experience and food were excellent. Cultural insight - you certainly don't feel you are in a 'corporate' hotel; very authentic Chinese. The location is a bit off the beaten track but with taxis being cheap and the fact that you see most when waling around a place it in no way impaired dour enjoyment.
Great staff, great bed, great location. Not so much English. Breakfast was so-so (and at extra cost).
