Pros: The "common area" with the pool was unique - both indoors and outdoors, very nice. There was a convenient room to work in during early hours before others arose. Parking was free and nearby. A separate living living and sleeping area was useful for the third person in our party. I somehow had the impression this was a resort in the desert, but it is in downtown Palm Springs. That said, downtown Palm Springs is lovely - we were informed by staff of a nearby street festival which was fun.

Pros: This was our second time staying at the Andreas and we just love this place! It's very close to downtown and we were there for the Thursday night street fair on Palm Canyon Dr. Quite the selection of vendors, especially arts and crafts...lots of fun. Took in the Art Museum (within walking distance) and it was terrific. Also went to the Air Museum by the airport and it was outstanding. Incredible amount of military displays with ample docents to guide you through. You could spend at least four hours there easily. We had good meals at the restaurants we ate at during our stay. There is a Greek restaurant called "13" across from the Andreas which had excellent food and service.

Pros: Property, location, and hotel itself was pretty good!
Cons: Management, reservations, very unethical business practices! Cross your fingers that you don't have to deal with management and can just get into the hotel without problems. I have never dealt with a more unprofessional or unethical privately owned hotel in my life... You have been warned! We were told we made two [2] reservations for the same days, guests, and would be responsible for paying for both even though it was a clear mistake on the hotels part. We are working through the credit card company now to turn them in!

Pros: Very pretty hotel with extremely comfortable and spacious bedroom. Charming friendly staff and good pool. Close to the heart of Palm Springs.
Cons: Very little sound-proofing in the bedroom. The first night the guests in the room above us were not being particularly noisy but we could hear every movement they made and almost every word they spoke. The following morning, the staff in the adjacent (hotel owned) restaurants were setting up for breakfast and we could hear everything. The service area for the hotel is close to the bedrooms (which is not a problem) but the staff need to be much quieter in the early mornings.
6.5 Good
Pros: This is a beautiful resort in a very convenient location. The facilities are first rate, the rooms are nicely appointed, if just a bit sparse, and the grounds are gorgeous.
Cons: The evening noise level is horrible. The road traffic on Indian Canyon Drive was relentless - the hum of auto traffic was bad enough, but the rumbling through the cement floor of the room every time a car passed by sounded like someone was dragging a trunk across the ceiling.
6.0 Good
Pros: The staff were really friendly and helpful and the pool & pool area were lovely.
Cons: The rooms felt tired for a relatively new hotel (though the bed was comfy). They didn't match up to the pool and reception area.
6.0 Good
Pros: Room nice, if quite bare. Bed comfortable. Pool was a decent size.
Cons: The room with a view didn’t have much of a view, but I would have forgiven that were it not for the the miserable and unenthusiastic receptionists (I met 3 overall). After a long day on the road it would be nice to be met by someone who didn’t quite so clearly consider your existence to be an inconvenience. I was also annoyed that when I called back to ask after an item I had forgotten I was told that it was not in the room and that I must have left it elsewhere. It only because I knew for a fact that I had left it in my room and exactly where it was (it wasn’t exactly hidden - it was in the shower) that I persisted and insisted that a further check be made. At which point the missing item was suddenly discovered. No apology was made for the fact that no check had actually been made in the first instance and that I had had to push for them to make a minimum effort. As it was, I needed to extend my stay in the city but I stayed the next night at a different, cheaper hotel down the road. There was no view but the service was incomparably better.

Pros: Very central to restaurants. Very relaxing & clean

Pros: The bed, mattress & bedding, pillows, etc
Cons: A bit of a sulphur smell in the bathroom - maybe it was a sewer gas leakage thru the bathroom sink - not sure
9.0 Excellent
Pros: It was bright and modern with nice amenities. I loved the courtyard and pool area.
Cons: One room had a toilet that would run very loudly every 15-30min. I think it was room 37.

Pros: The grounds were beautiful!! Loved the pool, food spots, complimentary bikes, parking and breakfast.
Cons: The room was much smaller than expected. Pillows were very hard and the bed sunk in the middle

Pros: Lovely butiqe like vibe of the small hotel. Spacious living room with separate bedroom and fully equipped kitchen. Walking distance to great breakfast place Cheeky’s and coffee shop Ernest (possibly best coffee in Palm Springs). Having good Mexican restaurant El Mirasol literally around the corner that has large, kids friendly outdoor area was a bonus. It’s also 10 minutes away from Ruth Hardy’s Park. Two pools and jacuzzi is not bad for a small hotel.

Two pools and jacuzzi is not bad for a small hotel.
Cons: Kitchen without window was dark. Pool is not heated so if you have small kids like myself it can be a bit challenging to use it. Pool area need some renovation: the floor around the pool is chipping, stains on pool chairs’ covers and some were torn. Valet parking is more of an expensive pain than a help especially if you stay with kids and have to always go to the front entrance to pick up your car. Fitness center is tiny, one machine, single bench.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Triada was in a great location in the city. There were a lot of restaurants and bars in walking distance. The staff made our stay very comfortable and hospitality was awesome. I just want to say Thank you to Aaron, Gilbert, Jazmin, Gladys, Saul and Gabby. If I left anyone out, I am sorry. Definitely coming back soon. Thank you in advance, Esteban.
Cons: Honestly there wasn’t anything that comes to my mind that I didn’t like.
7.0 Good
Pros: beautiful property, 2 pools was nice, close to downtown.
Cons: too many gates to get in and out of the hotel from our room..
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Love the location and old classic look of the place. Great walking distance to everywhere.
Cons:
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Loved the staff and how welcoming they were. They have two pools, one salt water and one regular. The hotel is clean and looks like you staying in villas.
Cons: The spa services mean they get someone to come to your room which I felt was misleading from what I read online so we didn't use it. There is a $25 a day resort charge which is really your valet parking. Just call it that. I did not see resort activities to justify the charge.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: This is a beautiful property. The rooms very clean and the staff made every effort to meet all our needs. The grounds were beautiful and seemed very secluded even though it is located right beside the street. If we ever find ourselves traveling back to Palm Springs we will definitely stay here.
Cons:
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The hotel is lovely and the staff couldn’t be nicer. We extended our stay because we didn’t want to leave. It is very hot in Palm Springs, but the pool and the AC makes up for the heat. We loved it here
Cons:
3.8 Mediocre
Pros: It has good exterior, reasonable pools, terrible service
Cons: Very dirty with unresponsive staff that upcharged us on checkout
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Room was tucked away from entrance, so there was no foot traffic. We also had a nice view of the pool!
Cons:
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Nice rooms and comfortable bed
Cons: No full length mirror
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and the friendliness of the staff. Their customer service was outstanding. I also ate one breakfast and a later night dinner at the hotel. Best hotel food, which surprised me for such a small dining room.
Cons: The temperature control in the room was difficult to adjust.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: Beautiful property with wonderful amenities; Spacious rooms that are really studio condos with full kitchens and private sitting verandas; Extremely professional, polite, and helpful staff; 24-hr. pool and hot tub are almost unheard of at a hotel; Outstanding value for the price.
Cons: Website indicated there was a $25/night fee to park a vehicle--this is not correct, it is a mandatory $25/night "resort fee" whether you park there or not (although the fee does include parking); Room needed to be re-vacuumed upon arrival; Fit-and-finish workmanship of the 2014 renovation to the rooms is somewhat below average--various gaps in finished surfaces, cabinets that don't close correctly, loose faucet in bathroom, etc.

Pros: Pool area and hot tub. Location in town.

Pros: Stylish little hotel, easy to get in and out of and pool is right outside your door, relaxing Courtyard. We will be back.
Cons: Receptionist was a bit gruff.
7.5 Good
Pros: Bed
Cons: The hotel is a simple building with no lift or escalator, if have to carry your own luggage to the 2nd floor. If you are staying on 2nd floor and accidentally dropped something on the floor, the people staying below with complained you are too noisy then the staff with come to you with a very rude attitude because when complaints come they have to work more. The hotel also don’t serve breakfast, lunch or dinner. It was raining when we were there and you will get wet even within the building itself, there is no proper covered walkway.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Great location, appreciated pool and hot tub and outdoor fire pits. Safe, clean, affordable.
Cons: The rooms are large but a little spartan. I would have appreciated a set of drawers for clothes, as we ended up having to spread across chairs. Same in the bathroom. Nowhere to put one’s toiletries. Need shelves.

Pros: staff tried to help me as best as they could
Cons: Room was VERY noisy. I even wrote the property ahead of time to request a quiet room. I could hear the parking lot, highway and the pool area. Also room had a window that I could not block out the light. Slept very poorly first night which made my second day there miserable. Next day I moved rooms but the smell from the cleaning products was overwhelmingly sickenly sweet. They brought in an air purifier which helped. The whole property is very dated and needs a facelift. Was charged a resort fee even though I did not se the pool or anything else. It's definitely not a resort.

Newly renovated Modernist gem, designed by architect Albert Frey in 1935, the Movie Colony Hotel is a seamless blend of vintage Hollywood style, with a modern, South Beach vibe. Private, second-story terraces afford views of the sprawling San Jacinto Mountains, with glimpses of the busy Palm Springs skyline steps away. Stroll downtown to browse the shops and art galleries of the Design District, and return for an evening dip in the pool. Overlooking the Movie Colony of Old-Hollywood stars like Dinah Shore, the hotel's minimalist style merges man-made materials with the natural landscape, making it the embodiment of Desert Modernism.

Pros: Excellent location for Historic Palm Springs. Very good Staff. Remodeled bathroom and comfortable bedroom and sitting room. Very nice reception. Pool area well attended.
Cons: The parking is really quite poor. It is first come first serve, even if you request and get reserved parking, and is almost always full during the day and always full when you come back from an evening event. A BIG problem and seemingly unfixable. The morning continental breakfast needs help. It is outdoors, and uncomfortable during the cold winter mornings. The selection of food is very poor and could easily be upgraded. Lastly, the heating cooling is window type and while it does work well, it is extremely noisy. This too is fixable with the newer type ceiling units. Except for the Parking, this could be a very good budget stay with a few fixes.

Pros: The rooms were spacious and the location of the hotel was fantastic. It was very easy to walk into town and the views from the room were beautiful. The pool and hot tub were clean and warm.
Cons: The first floor of the suit had too much open unused space. It could have benefited from a desk, small eating table and a bar sink. It also would have been nice to have black out curtains in the bedroom.

Cons: - more compact, things closer together, than it seemed online - pet fee is really steep (in comparison with many other places) pool is really tiny and not many people seem to use it b/c all the seating (inc dining) is around it, so it's kind of awkward
6.8 Good
Pros: The hotel is very nice and all the staff is very kind
Cons: They have a “resort fee” that nobody tell you until you are about to leave the hotel, is 40usd/day is not much but then the real price is not the one that they show, for me is a little bit of a scam
10.0 Excellent
Pros: The staff was wonderful! Probably the best service I've had in a long time and I travel all over the world! I especially appreciate the kindness of:staff who made me feel special during my Birthday stay. Avalon is an oasis!
Cons: Well, I forgot to ask if there was a wedding happening. I didn't appreciate being awoken on my last day at 8AM by live guitar music for a yoga class for the wedding party in the bungalow area. Suggest letting guests know or offering them the class.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: The location and staff are perfect. The environment is ideal, love the pools
Cons: Our room is close to the stairs, and the are so many people wailing and talking in their morning, so noise. And we wake up multiple times.
7.1 Good
Pros: Mgmt responded to horrible brawl next door
Cons: Room was strangely laid out — not enough space for side table Queen room instead of king which I booked
10.0 Excellent
Pros: Location was excellent & landscaping was beautiful. The Valet Staff was exceptional & the pool servers were also very good! Loved that you are so pet friendly.
Cons: No ice machine & more than 1 trash can in our room.
7.0 Good
Pros: Valet staff
Cons: No amenities, no wine glasses, not even a pen! Nowhere to place bathroom items, silverfish problem, torn towels, broken bedside table, all day dining menus item delivery completely different from menu description, noisy. Front desk reluctantly gave me an umbrella to venture out in the rain. Appeared they thought I might steal it!!! Lol!!!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Location was great, loved the bungalow’s idea for a family
Cons: There wasn’t any information about local slights or things to do had to ask. The bungalow was great however the kitchen had 4 sets of cutlery 4 glasses, 3 plates, 4 bowls and NOTHING else Our shower flooded we asked for it to be looked at but nothing was done or said about it. 3 pools.. 2 adults 1 kids, we had read that adult was over 14 when we arrived we were told that the age was 18 our teenage kids weren’t happy as out bungalow was right next to an adult pool with a table tennis table.
9.4 Excellent
Pros: The staff at the hotel is phenomenal! The hotel is beautiful and really allows you to feel like you are in Palm Springs. Located in a very walking friendly area near restaurants and shops and set against the backdrop of a majestic mountain this was truly a great experience. I loved being greeted with a cold glass of champagne upon arrival and check-in and it was wonderful that the amenities were included in the hotel fee (wifi, valet, etc.)
Cons: We did have an ant issue in our room while we were here. When I called the front desk, they seemed as alarmed and upset as I did and I appreciated that. They sent staff right away to spray and took care of the hotel fee because due to the inconvenience.

The location is just fantastic, near to restaurants, downtown and round the corner from a Arenas Road where lot of the Gay bars are. Pros: The breakfast was horrible and over priced. When we walked in the older gentleman asked us if we were gold members and I replied " I replied I am not sure what our status is." He sat us down and gave us menus and said we can order from the menu or we can eat buffet which would be $22.00 each. We chose buffet. What a mistake. There was not much to choose from. Eggs benidict (which I can not eat anything with runny yolk). I paid 22.00 for fruit and a small piece of french toast something.

We asked for medium well and got a charred piece of meat, you couldn't even cut through it. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The people are very nice. I guess I would stay there again , however, get food from outside the hotel.

Pros: Check in was easy and completely digital. Made arriving late and getting into bed so much nicer. I was also able to have a late check out considering the circumstances I will share.
Cons: I arrived to the hotel very late after getting a flat tire during travel and waiting for aaa. Upon late check in, showering and jumping into bed, I woke up to discover the sheets underneath the comforters were spotted and dirty with something that looked like food, even spreading to my brand new pajamas. The front desk agent and manager had me come down to the front desk three separate times to speak to them and show them my pjs as well as having the housekeeping manager inspect the room and not replacing the sheets. They just left the mattress completely bare. When I asked them what it was on the sheets so I know how to treat my brand new pjs, I was told housekeeping would’ve never left the room in that condition. As a customer who stays frequently with Hilton to the point that I used Hilton points to Book this stay, I felt very unappreciated. Not only did the staff do absolutely nothing to accommodate the poor room conditions, they basically accused me of making the mess myself. Then offered the same discount available as online as an extra discount to accommodate when I stated I was staying two additional nights.

Cons: The hotel was recently renovated according to some travelers who had been there in the past, but you could definitely tell some corners were cut in that process. I was totally fine as a solo traveler, but it might not be my choice if returning to Palm Springs with someone who has a picker eye.

Pros: Mario, the security guard is the shining star of this experience. Cons: I'm not sure what I expected from a Palm Springs Resort, but I can assure you this was not it. I have stayed "economy" classed hotels that were more impressive. The room was dated and a bit dusty. The shower head was sub par and the water temps are mislabeled (cold was hot, and hot was cold). The base of the bed is made out of some kind of flimsy medal that made unnecessary noise when you sat on or bumped the bed. The bathroom vanity was unremarkable. Pros: Great pool with warm water, clean and nicely located.
Cons: I wish to have on vacation a little bit more activities for kids in the hotel (playground, playroom, some kids corner with toys)

1.0 Poor
Pros: The location was good. Was near points of interests, dining and shopping
Cons: We arrived and checked in. First thing I noticed about my room was a very strong odor of what was either a wet dog that had been staying in the room or mold. I told the staff. They stated I could either let them spray deoderant or get a refund and leave.
8.2 Excellent
Pros: Location and pool area.
Cons: Parking is minimal and it’s time to replace the carpet throughout the hotel. Plumbing needed fixing.
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Everything was very nice as far as cleanliness and staff. Location was very good. Excellent parking. Nice amenities.
Cons: The worst experience was to learn, without warning, that the spa is closed on Wednesday which was our only full day there and we were unable to make an appointment. Had we been told in advance, we could have (and would have!) rescheduled our dates there.

Pros: The hotel has a great vibe. From the initial arrival when the valet parking staff were very welcoming and polite to a very smooth check in with a young man who has great communication skills and was interested in making our stay as good as possible. This approach was replicated by any of the staff we met - housekeeping staff, engineering staff, food and beverage staff - to a person they were friendly and seemed genuinely interested in our wellbeing and making our stay as enjoyable as possible. In addition, the rooms were very comfortable and had everything we needed and the hotel location is very central.

Pros: The location and the decor
Cons: The hot tub not functional, restaurant was rarely open, the bathroom had a leaky toilet and broken shower knob. The bar closed at 10pm in a Friday night, no pool service for food or drinks.... seemed like the hotel was being run into the ground. When the Hard Rock owned it a couple years ago when we were there, it felt like the hotel was thriving, now as hotel Zoso it felt like no money was invested in it. Sad because it’s a great location

Pros: The 2bedroom suite we had was great, big with sofa tv room separated fromt the 2 beds; great view of the mountains and pool. Great location too!
Cons: Understandably the pool isn't as big as other 4star resorts compared to Indian Wells area, but that's because this Hyatt resort is in the middle of downtown, busiest area and street, so there isn't as much space.
