Pros: The ambiance was nice- classic old style .The rooms were big and the view spectacular. Unfortunately the bath tub drain cover was not working so it required a nail file to remove the cover to drain the tub.This was repeated every day of our stay without the staff fixing it! The room was not cleaned on returning in the afternoon and we were told by reception that we had to call for cleaning !The wall tiles had black mould which Is really unacceptable in a hotel of this class.also,our room had chipped paint around doors and peeling wallpaper trim.All in all,This hotel needs revamping.On the plus side, the location is the best in Nice.
Cons: The staff were very poor in responding to complaints - no apologies ever.My room smelled of mould ,to discover next day that there was a furnace type room opening into my closet,which did not have a door.On complaining ,I was given an excuse instead of an apology. Also,after staying 3 days,I was stopped by a security doorman on entering the lobby ,to question me if I was staying at the hotel. Very very upsetting and again ,after telling him yes ,no apology. Good staff should know the guests and be carful before causing an embarrassing moment. The service at breakfast was very poor and the buffet layout difficult to manage due to the tightness of the restaurant.

Pros: Wonderful wonderful staff and location location location. The rooms were well appointed and in a style that suited the hotel. The balcony was a great place to get a lovely view of the sea. The rooms were larger then most European hotel rooms and air conditioned which made it very comfortable in the August heat. The public areas and dining rooms were very comfortable and charming. Good business center with easy access.
Cons: The carpet in the halls made it hard to move luggage around and did not fit the period and style of the hotel. Some of the art didn't suit the hotel ambiance. The carpet in our room was very worn and old. The bathroom had chipped sharp tiles and had not been updated which was a little disappointing for the price point. We were also disappointed that no one informed of the beach facilities available.

Pros: We were here just for a week. Hotel is located centrally right across from the beach. Rooms are very specious with luxuries beds. Dinner experience at the restaurant in the hotel was fantastic. Just one small issue - we did not get city center view as the website promised. Balconies were facing each other with no privacy.

Pros: This is a hotel that my best friend and I have been coming to for 15 years and everything works well and the cleaning staff are excellent.
Cons: our receptionist was not very helpful, telling us that we didn't have a reservation - which was confirmed by the hotel the previous day! may be she was having a bad day

Pros: View of sea from our bedroom
Cons: It was a very expensive Hotel to not have access to the swimming pool within the price. This is an additional €30. we paid nearly €200 a night not good value not including breakfast. Not what I expect from a 4 star.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, and the air conditioning worked wonderfully. Great location, close to lots of great shops and restaurants.
Cons: Our “king” bed was two twins pushed together, which I fell in between. Breakfast had a lot of choices, but many were gross. The scrambled eggs had a strange chemical aftertaste that I couldn’t tolerate. The airport shuttle we ordered was late, and when it arrived it wasn’t the right vehicle, which was too small to meet our needs. We had to wait for another shuttle to arrive, and when it finally did, we were told it would cost €20 more than we were quoted. Wow.

Pros: Great location, very close to the Messena Place and the old town. Restaurants close by. Rooms are a decent size as far as French hotels go and for once the air conditioning actually worked. Staff spoke English and were helpful.
Cons: We were only at the hotel for a quick overnight stay and didn't arrive until 9:30 pm so we didnt spend a long time in the hotel. Had breakfast in a cafe in the market.

Pros: Staff were friendly , very helpful & efficient. Good location with the main railway station close by - yet no noise:-) Décor of rooms and throughout hotel is very quirky . Definitely a boutique type hotel.
Cons: Limited storage space in our room . Had to move furniture to open one of the wardrobe doors as our room whilst lovely & clean with nice décor was small. We didn't have a car so parking not an issue for us . Extremely limited on street parking space for those with cars.

Pros: Great location on the promenade des anglais. Offers a discount to the private beach in front of it (20 eur vs 28). Clean. Rooms facing Water havw a breathtaking romantic view. Walking distance to all of the attractions in Nice. Velo bleu (bicyle rental) has stations very close to it.
Cons: Rooms are somewhat expensive. Private beach access not included. No free shuttle to and from airport (but #98 bus stops right in front of it and goes between airport and the Promenade for 6 euros).

Pros: Unfortunately the WiFi was horrible while we stayed at this hotel. We called 3 times and they stated the WiFi was being rebooted, however the only reception was in the lobby and it was still was not working well. We had to resign on every time to even attempt to log in, however >90 % of the time it did not work. One of us had work to be done as well and had to leave to find a cafe with WiFi in order to complete the work. Overall, great location, staff friendly, fine rooms. We were woken up one morning by the cleaning staff before 9 am and they opened the door while we were sleeping.
