Pros: I had a quick stay at this hotel and was so pleased with every aspect. I was departing on a very early flight so I asked if the airport shuttle would be running at 5am. When I was told it wasn't, the front desk employee, Lee told me he would have a taxi waiting in the morning and the hotel would pay for it. Staff was friendly, location was convenient, amenities were lovely.
Cons: They didn't have a clock in the room and I was told they are in the process of removing them. Odd.
Pros: I did find a few mold spots near our tub, and one of the underwater pool lights/wires was yanked out. Otherwise, great. There were a few pieces if broken drywall at one corner of the room, and lots of painted-without-patching screws, if that sort of thing bothers you.

Cons: We weren't able to get an extra rollaway bed but then it was a last minute reservation and we got the last room.
Pros: Breakfast and bathroom amenities
Cons: Small bath towels, difficult to park, internet slow, pool empty.
Pros: Room & bathroom were generous size. Water pressure was great. Breakfast was different each day. Loved the cookies & milk @ night. Front desk was helpful, loaning us decks of cards & an envelope.
Cons: There was a small bloodstain on the sheet. The room AC blew directly on the bed & there was no way to adjust the vent. I miss having a table & chairs - now it's a desk.
Pros: Bed was comfortable, staff very friendly and helpful, good price, coffee was good!
Cons: The Febreze smell in the floor and hard to get a comfortable temperature in the room (we finally adjusted the fan and that helped).

Pros: We stayed for two days.. The initial front desk staff was awesome; everyone else was nice. the back patio was nice. The pool area was a little small for the four families that were there at once. Lounge area & computer access was great as well.
Cons: We checked out, then back in the folllowing day so we had different rooms. The first night was great. Second room had a shower drainage issue, which led to loose tiles & i think may have attracted small flies ( i saw about 3-4 that day).
Pros: Good location, exceptional rate. Appears to be in a safe neighborhood.
Cons: Shower stall leaks water on floor. Be careful getting in and out of shower. Clearly it's a problem as our floor had been patched and repaired several times from the looks of it.

Pros: Came in for the One City Marathon, easy access to freeways and lots of nice food places in walking distance.
Pros: I like the location of the Newport News Marriott at City Center. There were places to eat, shop, take a leisure walk, beautiful scenery, and accessible.
Pros: Clean well appointed rooms. Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff.
Cons: Hotel was under construction so not everything was available and difficult to find your way around the hotel. Internet and parking were extra.
Pros: Location is good for upper Peninsula actually it is in Hampton Roads
Cons: The restaurant staff is Mediocre, the front desk is squished into a corner due to a remodel and it requires you to be right on top of other guests that are checking in, they advertise free wifi but charge and they charge to use the garage which baffles me because the city gives them Use of it(I used to be the city Assessor here so I know)

Cons: Breakfast started at 7:00. Earlier would have suited us better. Used a debit card so they held funds for both nights plus about $50 for incidentals for 48 hours after our checkout.
Pros: It was new, spacious, well-appointed rooms
Pros: My husband and I have frequently visited Williamsburg. One year we had a difficult time getting a hotel reservation in Williamsburg. We decided to try Newport News. We have been staying in Newport News for the past 10 years whenever we visit Williamsburg. We love it! This is the first time we stayed at a Residence. We were thoroughly impressed! The room was very modern, comfortable and super clean. The breakfast was delicious!
The staff was helpful and friendly. The only reason that I didn't give a perfect score is the mattress was a little firmer than what I am used to. We will definitely return and would highly recommend staying there.

Pros: The room was clean and the location was definitely a plus. We had a great time during this stay. The front desk staff was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay.
Cons: We came down to get some breakfast and they started cleaning up 30 minutes before they were set to close. I couldn't understand that. I know they want to leave, but if its supposed to be until 10, why close @ 9:30. One drawback I did not like.
Pros: Clean room and Friendly Staff. Was chosen as Customer of the Day and given a 'Free Upgrade to a Suite'. Loved the experience that I had at the hotel. Will definitely be staying there again.
Pros: The renovations were beautiful!
Pros: Customer service was awesome
Pros: suite was amazing great breakfast
Pros: The hotel was under construction and I drove 13 miles to spend sometime with my fiance. So much noise for the room I reserved I got a headache so I upgraded and paid for the suite instead. The pool was unavailable because keycard readers didn't work.
Pros: It was clean and it was smell great and the staff was very helpful will stay there the next time I go pick up my grandkids
Cons: No everything was good the hotel was clean and the floor that I was going was just renovated
Pros: Easy check. Nice staff. Great location to my destination.
Cons: There were a few spider webs on the ceiling. Other than that the stay was great.
Pros: Spacious room. great for family. conveniently located off the highway. very satisfied.
Cons: yes, the one bathroom in the private sleeping quarters was a bomber, but we managed. no general closet space for luggage and coats.
Pros: Seems to be rather new and price is good.
Cons: Sound insulation is not that good.
Pros: clearness, the staff was great and very helpful. When i checked in late on Thursday night, the lady who checked me in was very nice and pleasant. I've stayed here before and I really enjoyed my stay!

Pros: Pretty nice accommodations for little money.
Breakfast was simple, but good. Better than a typical continental breakfast.
Cons: The walls and floors were dirty. Floors in both hallways and in our rooms were very dirty / stained. Upstairs hall smelled very bad all 4 days we were there.
Our bathroom had plumbing issues. Tub faucet leaked steadily. Toilet ran on it's own about every 15 min. Toilet was loose and wobbled on the floor.
Pros: The Mulberry Inn was a great value for a family vacation. The rooms were clean, the property was well-kept and the location was convenient.
The staff was great - from the receptionists to housekeeping to the wonderful ladies at the breakfast - all were exceptionally professional and friendly & made an effort to accommodate the guests.
While this hotel was not a romantic retreat or exclusive resort, it was an excellent place to stay for my family - the grounds and the pool were well-managed, the breakfast was great and the rooms were clean - and for less than any of the other neighboring hotels.
Cons: We weren't expecting high-end accommodations, and we didn't get that. Instead we received a practical, clean and well-managed hotel for a great price.
The biggest "issue" was the hallway of our building was a bit worn - it could've used a new carpet & maybe lighting less harsh than the cold LEDs.
Pros: It was very close to Ft. Eustis. It was very clean.
Cons: No elevator. Had to carry luggage up a flight of stairs.
Pros: Friendly staff and a reasonable breakfast each morning with lots of choices. That was a treat.
Cons: dID NOT LIKE THAT THE SMOKE FROM cigartette smoke near THE BBQ pit came straight into the room and the whole room smelt of smoke. had to keep windows open. A door snake across the door would help stop this from happening.
Pros: Location and the staff
Cons: rooms were older and it smelled liked the carpet and furniture smelled like cigarette smoke
At The Mulberry Inn and Plaza at Fort Eustis, you'll be within a 15-minute drive of Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Lee Hall Mansion. Guests can visit the 24-hour fitness center for a workout or splash around at the outdoor pool or seasonal outdoor pool. Rooms feature conveniences like refrigerators and microwaves.
Cons: The pool and hot tub were un serviceable they looked really dirty
Pros: The staff was awesome. We really enjoyed our stay. Everyone was very friendly. Breakfast was also good.
Pros: The staff was very friendly and the amenities were very good.
Cons: My friends and I have stayed at this location for the last few years since all hotels in Hampton, VA are booked for the Hampton Jazz Festival and I thought I asked for a non-smoking room and that wasn't the case.
All of our clothes and belongings smelled of smoke. I wanted to request another room, however there was a sign at the front desk stating no vacancies.
I will know better next year.
Pros: Large spacious suite. The breakfast was decent, the staff was kind and very helpful.
Cons: The beds could be more comfortable.
Pros: The room was a nice size and clean. We let them know we would be a late check-in at 12am, and we were there at 12:05am...They were 100% booked and I am grateful they held our room for us. The front desk staff were courteous and helpful.
I would stay here again as the location was easy to access from I-64.
Cons: The breakfast was ok; however, it was free so I won't complain. I would suggest the eggs and sausage be cooked a bit differently, less soggy/runny.
I should have asked for extra blankets because the comforters on the beds are thin. This is just a personal preference. I was hesitant to call room service at 2am for this. It may be helpful to keep a couple of extra blankets in the closet for guests.
Pros: The staff are great, friendly and want to please, but are limited in what they can do.
Cons: The room I was in, 308, had a big slice in the sofa, like there had been a knife fight in there previously. I was switched from 309 where there was no heat (below freezing out) and where the TV didn't work. The furniture appeared dirty and sagging. The cabinet that held the TV had been cut in half to hide the fact it had been broken. Peeking out from under the bed skirt was the ripped corners of the box spring, which appeared to be 100 years old of so. The toilet ran all night, though I reported it to the front desk, the maintenance staff never got to it in my 10 night stay. No effort was made to cover the smell if cigarette smoke. How much does an air freshener, used in other hotels, cost?

Cons: The breakfast set up could be better.
Pros: the price
Cons: all was fine
Pros: The room was spacious and the hotel was in a very quiet location. The staff was very helpful, especially the guy at the front desk.
Cons: You will hear people walking above you if your room is on the 2nd or 3rd floor.

Pros: The front office staff was very friendly, professional. We got to town early and we were able to go ahead and check in. The cost of the room was very affordable.
Cons: I know the hotel is being remodeled so tried to be more understanding of the situation. But, we did not get our room cleaned (no clean towels, no bed made, etc.) We stayed for two nights but there were no glasses for even a glass of water at night. No ESPN, so no Monday night football .

Pros: the location and we did have a microwave and refrigerator., FREE PARKING AND THE FRONT DESK ATTENDANT WAS RATHER FRIENDLY
Cons: NEED TO UPDATE FURNISHINGS, TV WAS VERY OLD AND SOME OF THE LIGHT FIXTURES DID'NT WORK , ONE BED LINEN WAS SLIGHTLY SOILED,THEY CHANGED IT

Cons: Staff very rude
If I had to stay there again I would
Pros: It was in a very good location everyone that worked there was great
Cons: the bathroom was very small
Very dirty I saw mice running the room stunk and napkins under the covers

Cons: I saw 3 mice the sheets were very dirty and the room stunk... I found napkins under the covers
no thanks. Waste of time and money
Pros: not clean, pool didn't work, office locked at night

Pros: There is nothing that i like about this hotel because i never even got a chance to check in or stay at the hotel The hotel lobby CLOSES at 7pm. This information would have been helpful when i booked my room was not able to get in town to the hotel until 8
Cons: The after hours number was of no help. The guy pretty much told me 'we are closed' and he couldn't help me. I was stranded with no where to stay and had to go to another hotel where the rate was higher than i had originally budgeted. Super stressful.

Enjoy the luxuries of sophisticated apartment living with every service and amenity you desire. Whether you prefer a stroll at the quiet and serene 456 acre sandy bottom nature park-a recreation and wildlife wonderland located next door or a night out on the town with friends at one of the many upscale restaurants located just down the street Meridian Park side offers both.
Pros: The location was nice for the price. Able to quickly get anywhere in Newport News. We did stay there most of the stay, but I will not use this hotel again.
Cons: The whole place smelled like cigarettes. Ours was a non-smoking room and after running the A/C all day, didn't smell. But the hallways, elevator, and lobby all smelled like smoke. The room was very small, but usable. The bathrooms were not up to *my standard* of clean.
Cons: They quality of them room ... Dirty and not well kept at all I ended up leaving same day. I couldn't take it.
Pros: Location is great, good breakfast, clean room
Pros: Check in was easy and courteous. The room was clean enough for a short overnight stay. The beds were comfortable.
Cons: The hotel was very noisy. People roaming and slamming doors well into the night. My friend stopped in town on her way up north so we were up until at least 2am and there were still children running up and down the hall. The complementary breakfast was almost non existant. I had to stop on my way to work to get something to eat.
Pros: Wouldn't recommend it to others. Room was small but adequate for one person. The girl at check in was great. She was appropriately dressed and even called to make sure everything was working. On the second day arrived back from visiting family in the nearby hospital, the room had not been cleaned, bed linens not changed nor bed made. The only thing done was new towels and light straigenting. Hair from cleaner was all over. It was quite disgusting and I was too tired to complain. I was quite taken back by the check out man. He looked dirty, wore a knit cap, tattoos and face jewelry, pants below his underwear. I didn't feel good about him having my credit card info.
Pros: The staff was exceptionally friendly and gave great customer service. The entire paint job on the inside and out was good.
Cons: The rooms were not clean. Upon entering the room immediately we noticed there was no mattress covers on either of the 2 beds, and then when we lifted the mattress there was several noticeable dead hair follicles not to mention pubic hairs.
Pros: The room was comfortable and looked nice
Cons: The air conditioner did not work well and something bit my arms and legs up while I slept at night
Pros: It was worth the price paid.
Cons: the room seemed a little small.
