This was a great place to stay. It was very nice and looked more modern than most of the hotels on the strip. Staff very friendly and helpful. Most rooms had a beautiful view of the ocean! The higher your room the better. Beds were very comfy. Room amenities: Keurig coffee maker, refrigerator, ice bucket, 4 glasses, safe, hair dryer, shampoo/conditioner/bath gel dispenser in shower, iron/board, mirrors on the closet doors, 2 bottles of water daily They also offered 2 welcome drinks from the bar upon arrival, free beach towels and 2 free beach chairs daily. Location: The location of this hotel was good for us. It is located at the corner of A1A and Sunrise Blvd. The beach was right across the street and this section of the beach wasn't as crowded. We did not need to rent a car. There was plenty of things within a block surrounding the hotel. There was a Thai sushi place, 24hr pizza place, Mediterranean/Vegan spot, deli/sandwich shop, ice cream, popcorn, Subway, 7 Eleven. There were also several souvenir shops, a pub and a couple of other small restaurants. We rented a scooter from Fun Rentals right behind the hotel so we could explore a little further. Great transportation without paying for valet parking. We also used the beach shuttle ($3/person). Other transportation options include Trolley ($1/ride), City bus (bus stop right out front), cab, Uber, bike rentals. The nightlife is about a mile south of the hotel (30 min walk) on A1A. The Galleria mall was about 1/2 mile west on Sunrise blvd...not far at all. Overall this was a great place and we would stay here again. The pool was sort of small though. I would have liked a microwave as well though. Restaurant in hotel was kind of expensive so we never ate there.
Great view, location - nice rooms. Bed was way too comfortable!
The staff is friendly and accumulating. Easy access to beach front. Updated lobby and rooms. Near liquor store. Don't worth the $200+ a night rate I paid. It looks and feels like an old Holiday Inn that was renovated. The view from the rooms of the beach is only a half view as the building is blocking the rest. The carpet was stained. The shower had mold on the grout and caulked in areas. The A/C only kicked on when it wanted to. The pool is the size of an above-ground pool. I paid the rate because the reviews and pictures looked appeasing but it turned out to be a front. Also, it is not an adult only hotel; many, many families present and being very loud and obnoxious. 2-star rating. Only stay here if you find a rate for under $100 a night. Very, very disappointed.
Friendly staff, clean, close to beach. Nothing negative
The personal are professional and very polite.
NOTHING. EVERYTHING. I would not stay here, they are not accomodating, the staff is rude and inconsiderate. There sheets were terrible, and the room was dirty.
Great location. Great last minute deal thru Kayak. I will definitely stay again. My room was RIGHT BY THE ELEVATOR... bad move. You hear everythjbg coming in and out. Also, the chef... Well, let's just say the meal I had wSnt great. Actually, it wasn't good either.
Rooms are stylish, well concepted and executed. Baths and beds and interior design is well done. Rooms have great views and are quiet. This hotel and the W are the two best hotels in Fort Lauderdale and this is a great value. Close to restaurants and the beach. Slight access issues, but once you've stayed there you figure it out and its fine, the location offsets any access challenges.
Room and view was wonderful! Staff was helpful, and the pool was relaxing. Loved the love music at the pool. Breakfast at the hotel resturant cost us a pretty penny.
The woman at the front counter was extremely helpful and friendly. She immediately saw our daughter who is two and offered to have us a crib sent up immediately. Hotel restaurant server was also excellent. Gave us great service and the food was great. Seemed a little too "uppity" for our family. It always seemed as if someone was looking for a tip. My husband went down to get a luggage cart to take our bags downstairs and the guy wouldn't let him have the cart. Said it was a "liability". I've been to a lot of hotels and always used my own luggage cart. It's not a liability for heavens sake. It just means someone won't get a tip. Also the bed was not very comfortable but that's just a personal opinion. It could be very comfortable to someone else.
Vera¡y good location The service specially for the breakfast was very poor
Very comfortable bed. Rooms are nice. Location to beach is great. Parking cost is $30/night. You can hear every sound through the door.
Just one cleaning lady was nice. Construction guys everywhere, noise, dust, smell.all restaurants in hotel closed! Second pool closed!SKYWALK-CLOSED! each time you go across the road with kids.Terrible experience this year.will never stop there again and will never recommend it to my friends!
The best part of the resort/hotel was location. Depending on what building you stay at, the beach was within walking distance. Also, many restaurants and activities weren't far away. We had to use our cell phones to call the front desk, because the speed dial numbers on the hotel phones would ring busy when we call. Also, called for a wake up call, which we never received. Housekeeping would not come or would come in the late afternoon, when we get back from our outings; often times the hallway and under the bed was not cleaned up. When we went to the beach, we were told to raise a flag (which was provided on a pole) when we would like to have bar staff come to see what we need. No one ever came to check on anyone on the beach. The resort fee (according to Delta Vacations) includes 2 beach chairs, 2 bottles of water, 2 signature drinks, 2-2hr bike rental, board games, sand toys, each day. However when asked, I was told the signature drinks were discontinued from the resort fee 2 years ago. Overall, the value for what we paid was not worth it, and do not plan on going back. The pictures from the website are not a good representation of facilities or service. Renovation can only improve appearance.
The pool right on the beach are awesome. You can sit in the pool and watch the TVs at the pool bar. The mermaid show is great and I have seen it about 5 times now. We were not informed that it was under major renovation. The bar in our building didn't open until 5:30. There used to be two bars but one is now closed for renovation. Since there were no vending machines on the hall floors, if you wanted a soda or otherwise you only had one option. Walk out, across the parking lot to a different building (also under renovation) and go to the pool bar. I couldn't even find where breakfast was. If we were just informed of the renovations we would have simply waited a bit to go. I was so dissatisfied we probably wont go back.
My family has stayed in this hotel every year for five years over spring break. We have seen it transition from the Sheraton to B Ocean Resorts. It seems the hotel is less interested in families and more interested in catering to singles. 1. Loud music constantly played in the lobby even at 6:00 when you just want to quietly start your day with coffee and quiet. 2. Called room service and went straight to voice mail. Called again and they hung up. 3. The onsite restaurant, Naked Crab, had limited choices for kids and was very expensive.
The staff was terrific and welcoming, the renovatied rooms were lovely, the pool is amazing We didn't care for the onsite restaurants. However the wreck was fun and we enjoyed the mermaid show.
Nice People Paying for parking across the street $30.00 a day, You are paying to stay there your parking should be free.
View Everything at this hotel is broken, elevators, phones, the Skywalk that takes you from one side to the other. The pool is small and there is only 1 bathroom for everyone, the line was at least half hour long all day. It was faster to walk the 2 blocks, cross traffic and climb the stairs to use the bathroom in your room than wait in line, or walk to the beach, which it seemed mist were doing, and use nature's facilities. They also charge $20 a day to park you car and another $20 for resort fees, I'm not sure where that money goes, since everything is broke and the pool is the almost the smallest I've ever seen at a hotel besides a few motel 8's.
pool and right on the beach under construction. but can't help that
Beach access was nice, but there are better places to stay in the area Once we arrived, we were told we have to pay a huge resort fee. Everything you want to do costs extra. Parking was $35/night - which they don't disclose until you arrive.
I booked a room at B Ocean Resort for NYE and the following night. First, I was assigned the wrong room in the wrong tower. The second day, our access card didn't work anymore, because the room was not properly registered as a back-to-back reservation. Second, while we ended up getting a room with lcean view, the sink wasn't properly working. Third, and the worst part about it, B Ocean Resort charger my credit card randomly with bills that I never signed off for. I had about 6 charges for random amounts on my bill, but had only signed one final bill at checkout. Lastly, the food is very expensive. For instance, we ordered one yoghurt as room service for breakfast and the bill, including taxes and tip was $20 (!) For a 4 stars "resort" I would expect way better service and staff, particularky considering their pricing. Billing my card with unauthorized charges is unacceptable!
Front desk was very kind and helpful. Gym was very nice and clean, but would recommend having antibacterial wipes/spray to clean equipment off after you use. Beach area was beautiful along with pool. Wish you guys had almond milk available in little breakfast area. In the hotel room, it did seem a little dirty. In the hallway down towards the room there was always a "funny" smell in the hallway that lasted the whole time. On the last day, we found a large toenail by bathroom door and was very dingy/dirty was adjoining door to the room next to us.
Checked in at the B Ocean in Fort Lauderdale beach, the phone in the room wasn't working most of the time, staff said that they would send a tech to fix it, but no one never came. Ordered room service, waited two hours for them to tell me that the menu that was in the room was an outdated menu which they originally brought me when I had to order, cause there was no menu in the room, so it took me about 3 hours to get some dining in my room. And to have this room cleaned, I had to call at least twice to tell them to send someone to clean the room, and when they finally came, some supervisor came up to room 792 with an attitude to tell me that they were busy and that's why it took them so long. Overall, I will never stay at this hotel anymore, and recommended no one to stay here either. Service is extremely bad.
It was a beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. We were able to checkin early and the junior suite with the balcony views was wonderful. That the ATM charged US$3.50 to take cash out.
Walking into the resort really felt like home. The staff was friendly and very accomodating and it felt so fancy! I really enjoyed my stay and I always stay at the Hilton when I travel, never disappoints! We had a jetted tub in the room and a view of the beach, the swimming pool overlooked the ocean which was walking distance from the hotel! Our whole experience with the resort was everything we dreamed of. Will definitely return our next trip to Fort Lauderdale!
Lovely hotel, large room although suite was booked. Balcony door did not lock
Beach front and accessible to anything, nice ocean view from the room, clean hotel and it has everything we need. Front desk is horrible specially the person who checked us in. She told me that I will get a text or a phone call when the room is ready but unfortunately no one calls me back not text. I have to call and find out myself to see if our room was ready. Other than that everything was perfect.
I had to wait until 6pm to check in
It was a great location however service and staff were average. No one really went out of their way to be helpful. We arrived at the hotel at 9 am and were not allowed into the room till 3pm. The jacuzzi tub had yellow water coming out of the faucet.
Location and suite we stayed in The valet parking - over priced and under delivered
Nice pool area, access to beach; good restaurant/bar; close to lots of activities in Ft. Lauderdale
The location was great and the rooms were very nice! The wedding we attended was beautiful. I had left a watch by the pool and checked with the front desk to see if anyone had turned it in. They simply said no and sent me on my way. However, when I checked at the pool restaurant, she asked me if the front desk had checked with lost and found. The front desk didn't even bring up lost and found as an option. Luckily, security had received the watch and we were able to get it back.
access to ocean construction
Great service, staff, food. Great location. Hidden fees. Mandatory "resort fee" should be part of up front cost, not an "indicental" learn-about-it-upon-checkout fee. Wifi painfully slow.
Location; felt safe as a lone traveler. Friendly staff. Excellent housekeeping staff. No in room coffee maker.
Bathrooms were good and room standards were very acceptable Restaurant seemed a bit Galban hearted and lacked sole - being picky but bar AC was way too cold
The services and facilities at this hotel and the hotel staff outdoing themselves to assist you. A must: Rooms should have a better soundproof protection, especially the doors. You constanly hear noise from the corridor or even from the adjacent room through the communicating door room.
The service, food and staff were amazing Can't think of anything
Great location. Comfortable bed and room. Dated and worn out furniture and kitchen cabinets.
friendly efficient staff and service. we were upgraded to larger room, which felt like an apartment. The hotel appeared to be located on the beach, but there was a busy road between the beach and hotel.
well appointed rooms
I loved that we got upgraded to a very large suite. It was a beautiful "apartment". Great hugh balcony. Nice finishes. I didn't like that there was nothing to cook with (despite the full kitchen). The kitchen was vey very dirty and I had to spend time cleaning it. Not what I want to do I vacation.
Nice large room and decor Hotel Pool and Lobby are very nice Restaurants are fun Missing remote, room service book, etc. upon arrival and took about 45 min to bring it up. Food prices on room service menu. View of construction site with blocked view of ocean on "oceanview room"
I have stayed at the Atlantic twice and there is literally nothing one could not like about this hotel. That my trip was not longer :)
I loved everything. Especially the staff. Marisa or Marisha ( not sure how to pronounce it) was extremely helpful. We will be coming back just because the way we were treated by the people there.
Great location right on the beach. Large, comfortable rooms. The staff allowed me to check in a few hours early since they had a clean room ready. Nightly turn down service with chocolates on my pillow were a nice touch. Front desk staff was average. At best. At a hotel of this caliber I expected a lot more courtesy and friendliness. Broken shower. No available chairs at the pool TWO days in a row. No bellhop to carry my luggage. And no apologies when I told them about my underwhelming experience.
I know this might sound wired but the shower, hotel showers are usually bad but this one was great! Lots of pressure and never ran out of hot water. The king bed was very lumpy and uncomfortable.
No housekeeping No available chairs, etc for the beach
The location was great, was never loud in the area. Beach is right out the front door. Great food within .5 mile walk. walk down to Las Olas for food and fun. For a young couple, we still paid about 2x as much as our kayak rental. It is $40 a day to park your car, and it's only valet, it's unlimited use of your car, but then you add tips. There is a resort fee not included, which is not too expensive. And we did choose to pay $25 extra a night for a view, which was worth it. Pool food is not great, and service is slow-- but go down to Las Olas for food and fun.
The people who work there are super friendly and helpful. Excellent!
Location was convenient. Starbucks on site, which was great. There was no communication between staff. One person told you it was okay to do something and another person said it wasn't okay. They also charge you "service" charges and don't mention that means tip so you pay tip twice unless you ask.
We were greeted as we got out of the car and as soon as you walk into the hotel there was fresh fruit infused water and Olympic cookies. Room was clean and big enough for our group. The pool staff was SUPERB! Our waiter, Emanuel, always made sure we were taken care of and Judy made sure we always had the best seats by the pool. The gym was well equipped and even offered cold towels and fruit. Plus there was a great view of the ocean. My group will stay here every time we are in the area! $30 a day resort fee.
Good location. Great views on beach side. I don't like being quoted a price on kayak.com paying that price and then having to pay a resort fee when I get there....especially when I don't know what my $60 resort fee got me. There were towels at the pool. Was that it? Went across the street to the beach, we swam and layed on lounge chairs under an umbrella...then a hotel staffer sats we either need to pay... $20/umbrella or $6/chair....why did I pay $60 in resort fees and I can't use a chair? No airport shuttle and outright dishonesty on pricing. I may stay there again, but I'm never paying a resort fee with no benefits again.
We stayed in the hotel for our anniversary and the staff was phenomenal! They took the time to draft a hand written card and special fruit/nuts/wine for our special weekend. Thank you so much to Brenda and the rest of the Westin colleagues!!
Judy was fantastic. Cost of drinks.
Excellent location right on the beach, awesome customer service & extremely friendly and helpful staff. I will definitely be coming back again both for business and with my family for leisure time! Nothing.
Pool, easy access to beach, towel and toy rental, away from restaurant/bar strip, walking distance to cvs for essentials and alcohol, easy access to Sun Trolley and bus to get to stores, museum, downtown. Expensive, resort fee, in-house restaurants served bad food and were very expensive, no close by family friendly cheaper food options, expensive beach chair and umbrella rentals, far from grocery store and other shopping
they upgraded my room! They are nice loved them
Great ocean view good location Resort hits you with lots of fees
Storm met us at the taxi and escorted in and to our room His smile and warm demeanor set the tone for our short stay. He was excellent
You can dress a hotel up as much as you like but at the end of the day it's the little things that matter. No amount of cool design and edgy décor can cover up shoddy (and rude!) service, uncomfortable beds, loud and difficult to control air conditioning, or disappointing food and drink. The check in staff was rude, the cocktail waitress was rude and slow, the food at breakfast was cold, my room was hot and cold, and the bed had been made by someone who doesn't believe in tucking in a fitted sheet to eliminate wrinkles. Even at half the price it was a rip off.
Balcony. Was able to check in at 9 am Ordered 95 dollar room service. Filet and wings. Filet extra burnt. Wings dry and trash. Complained. Got no credit. Needed fridge to store insulin called and received 4 hours later. Asked for towels at night waited 2 hours to shower. Worst
Under Construction, if a property is under construction it should be noted when booking. All of the hotel services were under par because of it
Not the best or easiest to get around
Beautiful hotel, great rooms, excellent in house restaurant, cool bar and lounge, wonderful staff No
Your employees were very helpful and kind. a little expensive, however competitive.
Design to the top. "W" stands for "Weird". The lobby is the "Living Room", the health club "Sweat", the pool is "Wet" and so on. Great glass shower in the middle of the room => do not share your room with someone you're not intimate with. Jelly fish tank in the restaurant with LED lights. Fur alligator on the bed with remote control in its mouth etc... I arrived on Saturday evening when the music in the "living room" (sic) was so loud, that I had to scream at the lady behind the reception to get heard. Also, the air condition was way too cold, up to a point where I got so cold in the bar, that I wouldn't have a drink.
the hotel is clean, good location & nice pools the ocean front pool was to cold they charge $34 a night to park they tried to charge me $25 just to take the goodie box & alcohol out of my room - insane
Very friendly attentive staff No help offered with luggage or to find room or to work gadgets in room. AC set to 55 F on arrival -ridiculous waste of energy. Dirty spashes on wall took 3 days to remove. Room service took 70 minutes to deliver. woken at 2am on first night by alarm radio. Woken at 6-30 am on last night by wake up call to wrong room. Not enough elevators, long waits and crowded elevators. Little things, but at that high price it should be perfect. Not worth the extra for a south view. You still could not get sun on the balcony in March. View not much different to north view, but a big difference in price.
Loved the glass shower and beach front view from the balcony. Long check in wait time.
The staff was friendly and verv accommodating. There was some confusion with the check in and check out times. The bathroom in the room lacks privacy.
Location No free wifi
Location Check in
Daryl Fuentes and Patrick were working the front desk onThursday during the day. They were very helpful when I had an administrative task I couldnt complete for a business portion of my trip. Additionally they, and the rest of the staff during my time there know hospitality naturally and made my staff wonderful after a long flight and a last minute booking. Thank you again to the whole staff!
Close to everything. $31 per night for parking.
Great location right across from the beach, very friendly/helpful staff. Rooms were clean. As in other reviews they are still working on the elevators which leads to a decent wait and then filling up quickly. We were in the 12th floor (top floor) which made it a lot easier to access the elevator then the middle/lower floors. If the elevators were fully working then I'd have no reason not to give this hotel a 5 star rating based on my experience.
Any one could come to the pool. And all the card keys didn't work outside. Not very secure. Over all it's a very nice hotel.Room was great.
Great location, spacious room Pool area lacking, lots of young spring break students-loud and rude.
clean and nice place to stay.....across from the beach and close to everything!!!will stay here again. nothing!!!
Location and rooms were nice enough. The valet service was very good. Pool bar personnel were great. Elevators didn't work very well - took the stairs often. I thought the cost of the in-hotel restaurant was pricey for Starbucks style food. Pool facilities weren't great - not enough towels
Everything. REALLY enjoyed MYSELF NOTHING BUT LOVE
Room was large, tiled floor in part, huge windows looking out at ocean; pool towels; Pool was small and very dirty, no room service menu in room; need to leave a card to hang on door for room service breakfast; restaurant closed; mid day, no hot tub; pool is shaded after noon because of building location, which can be a pro or a con
Great location to everything
Location is nice $21.00 a day parking, expensive internet service. CAUTION, they have a 4 story motor lodge that is nothing like the photos they show of the rooms. It's a dive for the price! That's were we got put and we will never be back! I'd avoid this property. And the water is yellow.
We were walking distance from the beach literally across the street. Also on a very popular strip close to many bars, restaurants and novelty shopping. And pretty much less than a 15 minute drive from anywhere we wanted to go. "Liquor Store" across the street was deceiving as it had very little liquor BUT did have Fatt Tuesday Slushies. Oh also they charge $25 a day for self parking & $30 a day valet ON TOP OF a $50 per day hold (that is returned 1-5 days after you check out). Besides that
Loved the location. There were so many places within walking distance. And not too far away by car were several plazas with shopping and eateries. Not really a spot for childless couples to get away. But we made the best of it.
very nice staff and helpful, I also enjoyed the bar downstairs. The location is good as it is far away enough from the hustle and bustle of the main drag, but is still walkable. the vending machines were not functioning and the interior hallways were very hot.
Great location. Easy to walk to the beach, nice hotel pool and friendly staff. Parking costs $26/day, but most lots around there are $40, so I guess that's kind of a deal.
Emir the front desk attendant pick and choose who can stay at this hotel, very racist, if you don't fit a certain description or you look as though you don't fit into an elit group, your resavation will be cancelled or you will be offered a room at a higher rate..will not stay or recommend to any one ...
Great location easy access in the heart of everything Staff was friendly and pleasant everyone smiled and said hello Some items that are a challenge $21 a day to park $20 a day for the Internet some of the areas seem to be unkept the needed some cleaning.
For the price, the hotel room is dated, ugly and the beds and sheets are small and uncomfortable. I was traveling for work and I arrived at the hotel late, just looking for a comfortable nights' sleep before leaving early the next day. I did not find that. It was a sad room to call home for the night, especially for the price. I also waited for 30 minutes to check in while there was only one person working at reception and they were helping another guest. When you're exhausted and know that you'll only get a few hours of sleep, this becomes frustrating. Maybe this place is good for someone staying longer and can take advantage of the location.
The rooms were clean When I arrived we were informed that the water main has been shut down and the water is not for drinking or showering. The hotel said we can get a reservation down the road(horrible location) and will cancel our reservation if we would like. The couldn't even guarantee the same rate at the other hotel. Usually when a huge inconvenience like this happens, things are comped and rooms upgraded, this was not the case and was told we could basically stay at the hotel where we made a reservation over a month in advance, or we could leave. I chose to stay because I didn't want to gamble with another hotel that I had done no research on. My experience with Bahia mar was terrible as far as customer service and guest relations
Really nothing stood out Construction around the pool all day,Bathtubs water disnt drain, room smelled, loud music coming from next room over every night..very bad time
Very nice rooms. Very inviting! Location was hard to find. Poor signage to the garage. Inaccurate signage in the parking lot.
The parking and check in is inconvenient. Check out time is at 10am! Hotel has NOT updated it's furniture or stuff. Could hear everything from all other rooms. Bath-tub was old and "painted" to cover chips. not what I expected for the price!
The location Checkout is 10am, couldn't get later checkout. No room service and got rushed out by housekeeping on last day. Confusing parking garage. Hard to find entrance for check in. Not staying here again.
Great location and view. Rooms nice size and clean. Staff a little over whelmed by spring break crowd. Would have been nice to be warned about what the hotel was doing to accommodate the young crowd.
The fact that I got charged twice for this room. After I was charged by priceline for the room, the Marriot also charged me. I thus paid twice for the same room.
because it is close to the shuttle to convention center for our meeting the attittute of the owner/manager is very bad. She let me to wait from 10:00 am to 12:30pm in order to check out (she should be there from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm according to their schedule), which made me miss an important meeting.
The rooms were clean and large, we stayed in one of the kitchenettes and it was larger than most first apartments. The bed was needing replacing.
Location, Location, Location, a little gem amongst the really big high rises hotels
Maggie was quite accomdodating and friendly. Super location and excellent value for money. Would stay there again It was straight out of the 60's so it might not appeal to someone expecting all the creature comforts of a brand new hotel. For those of us that travelled in the 60's though, it brought back a lot of memories.
Location was great and staff very friendly and helpful. Had more amenities in the room than expected. Needs a good, detailed cleaning. Air conditioning unit couldn't keep up with the heat (is old)
VERY HELPFUL STAFF PLEASANT WELCOME DRINK ON ARRIVAL,FIRST CLASS LOCATION, WATER TAXI STOP A BONUS. THE LACK OF TEA AND COFFEE IN ROOM WAS DISAPPOINTING
Very beautiful hotel, in a great location, very kind and friendly staff. I surely recommend this hotel for anyone that wants to visit Fort Lauderdale which is so beautiful Not specific to this hotel but I suggest eveyone checks final room prices after taxes, gratuity etc (different system compared to Europe)
Excellent location, superb rooms and facilities. Away from the bustle of Fort Lauderdale but near enough to walk and get around Thought there would be coffee and tea making facilities in the rooms
Good location near to the beach Low value for money
The rest, the swimmingpool, the view, the restaurant, the luxurity, the close distance to the beach, the free parking space. The fact that the maid came in very late every day (at around 3pm), the fact that breakfast etc. was very expensive.
Location was perfect, was able to walk to beaches, local restaurants and bars. Room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were very pleasant. Did not have coffee/tea in room. No hairdryer. Everything was extra, nothing included in hotel stay.
The best find, the most attention to the finer detail, the staff and team behind were the most friendly ever, just like to say Thanks for having us stay.
This is a marvelous hotel. The room was perfect, beautifully finished, luxurious and easy to use. I was thrilled with its location in a quiet area but near enough of everything and the beach. Great staff. Great place to relax. Beautiful in design and comfort. Grounds are wonderful facing the water. I thought the room service breakfast was not up to the standard of the hotel. Not as fresh as it should have been
quiet hotel just two blocks from the ocean and the busy scene on A!A. musty odour when you walk into the hotel.
The staff was great and breakfast/dinner on the dock-side terrace was super. Everyone was very friendly and attentive. We'll keep going back.
Staff was great. Got room with a good view. Cute room. Nice tv. Thought I would be able to see the ocean from hotel. Room smelled funky. Balcony isn't private.
Staff were extremely efficient & pleasant. Location was ideal for my business needs
Liked the buffet breakfast! Didn't like the hard beds.
Good deal for the price.
It was a short distance to catch the water taxi. The room was too small for the 4 of us. Even the double beds were not big enough. The breakfast was not much of a choice. The smell of the hall on our floor was not appealing. The verandah was dirty so we stayed only in our room.. We clearly did not get value for money. I can say this because the first half of our vacation was spent at the Crowne Plaza and we spent less on our stay there. Then we moved to this hotel for a different experience by the sea but clearly it was a step down. This hotel is worth less than what we spent.
Convenient location to the beach, restaurants and shopping Maid service was late afternoon
The breakfast included The lobby is not updated , it looks old , I walked shoesless and the carpet in the hall way was wet. the rooms are much better than the rest of the hotel facilities.
the room was clean the breakfast was terrible
Convenient location to the city beach Run down with a lot of paint to look good (2 star to look like a 4 star) 1 elevator for guest and staff ( sometimes a long wait) When looking at the hotel online ALL the pictures were air brushed.
Great Value for money, excellent location, friendly restaurant and very good breakfast. In the booking page and hote internet page it says the parking costs 5 oer dy but it costs 10.
staff were excellent, position was close to port, and las Olas Initial appearance of hotel was alittle run down, although the rooms had been renovated and were clean.good for the price
Proximity to the beach. Not ocean front but close to beach..short walk. Free breakfast was nice. Good value for the price. Hotel is dated but room was spacious and clean. Staff were pleasant. Nothing really. It looks like the hotel is possibly in the process of renovating. The rooms seem to have been updated but hallways and exterior could be updated. The railing on the terrace outside our room was broken; potentially dangerous e.g for families with small children.
Lpcation Age of appearance. In severe need of updating.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was nicely appointed. Overall a good value for a one night stay. The bathroom was a bit frightening... Paint pealing, mildew in the shower... Just needed some love...
Great location, chairs and beach towel service excellent.
Great location, affordable. Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. Room smelled musty, bathroom dated.
The hotel is across the street from the beach, they supply sand chairs and towels for the beach. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable. The room was very clean. Even tho there are some problems, we adjusted and had a good stay. The hotel is old, they have tried to dress it up, but the exterior door has a gap around the side of the door, and the dead bolt did not work. The bathroom is very old and needs to be updated, the bathroom door did not shut. The walls are very thin and you here everything in the rooms next you.
Wait staff at the cafe were outstanding. It is a funky hotel.
I was able to book at a discounted rate through a booking site. The location of the hotel is perfect, right across the street from the beach. They rent out towels and chairs at no additional cost which is a HUGE plus. The staff was friendly and helpful. I was able to upgrade to a suite which had a private balcony. Perfect for me and my guest as this was to spend a weekend away on the beach with her. The water in the shower would get hotter every time someone flushed a toilet. Was constantly having to step away from the water because I would getting burned. The shower head had no pressure and the paint on the ceiling in the shower was peeling off.
Second time staying here. Great people behind the counter, and all four of us enjoyed it. Walls are thin and had noise complaint on us shortly after we got there from our group having a normal conversation. But nothing that would keep us from going back!
Can hear everything going on in room next to you.
Location location location. Outdated furnishings, poor lighting in room, somewhat dirty in places.
Location Unfriendly, on accommodating staff . Managers unavailable. Don't bother having a drink outside very unfriendly wait don't bother having a drink outside very unfriendly weights staff.
Patio bar for breakfast & dinner Rooms need washing and upgrades
Old fashioned beach area hotel recently renovated. Really lovely and family run. Full kitchen including dishwasher. Dining Table, living room with flat screen TV, King master bed two night stands and chest of drawers and another flat screen TV, nice size bathroom with glass enclosed shower, huge closet for clothes, two free beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Tile floors through out makes it feel clean instead of rug full of sand. A real gem !! Nothing !!
Room was very nice, with great bed and antique furniture. Not at all institutional. Very clean. Had happy hour every night. Very close to beach. Tv was old, but okay. Breakfast was mediocre American-style "continental" which most Europeans would find lacking.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Our room did not have enough table surface to lay papers and countertop items like laptops and cell phones.
Very nice staff and guests, I felt like a friend from the beginning. You can have a great time if you want company and if not very respectful be in privacy. In walking distance to gay beach and boardwalk restaurants of Ft. Lauderdale. Will defintefly go there again next time.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpfull and the room was clean and neat. It did not have a hot tub which most all the other guest houses have. The breakfast was just medicore.
