We were in a newly refurbished room, very big and clean. No clock.
valuable price for money, longer walking distance to the city centre
We stayed in a very comportable room, it was newly decorated and very clean, all the staff were very friendly and professional and the food was very good.
I had the same room as in pictures, clean, nice, just excellent. The location is perfect. Close to the airport (20 min by bus 16a) and very close to the city center (10 min by any bus). Bus stop is next to the hotel. In the neighbourhood are Tesco, a Thai restaurant (very good and not expensive), kiosk, Croke Park. This is the best place to stay in Dublin.
the room was excellent! the bed was so soft and comfortable! also the hotel staff was so helpful and very nice! it was a great experience all around!!!!
exellent hotel.handy for public transport busstop right outside.
nothing the food was awful had to send back my meal turkey dinner the manager in fairness to him did not charge me for it the potatoes were awful not creamed the rost potato was hard and the vegg was either off or dirty i asked for a disabled room!! i got a room on the 3rd floor with no disabled bathroom or any facilities i would not recomend it for disabled people 3rd floor is not disabled and no bathroom facilities in theroom for disabled people
How relax everyone was and how friendly the staff where some rooms e.g. single could do with a make over
Peace & quiet nothing
Comfort and facilities of the room, proximity to the airport, shuttle availability surrounds Having to pay overnight parking charges when other hotels allow residents to park free will be a future determining factor, the fact that when dealing with a receptionist she is repeatedly diverted to answer the telephone - hire a telephonist.
it is very close to the airport and city centre.the breakfast and dinner was excellent.the room was fantastic.i will definetly stay there again
shuttle service to/fro airport need more frequency time table of shuttle to/fro airport and no vending machines for soda/juice/snacks
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very pretty inside and very clean. It was a great bargain and close to the airport. Had some shops close by just in case you needed any necessities. N/A
easy access, room very comfortable, well equipted and appointed. Always enjoy stay at the Crown Plaza.
My room was above a room where a party was being held and the noise kept us awake. I had to call the manager to get the volume turned down - which he did.
We have used this hotel a number of times and it is the most comfortable hotel I've stayed in for some time. Staff are wonderful, rooms are spotless and it's in a good location.
We had an 11 hour flight layover. The hotel was less than 10 mins from the airport. It was clean and comfortable. This is a nice hotel and definitely fit the bill. A great place to stay
Good courtesy bus service from airport, comfortable beds, quiet room despite size of hotel. Bathroom sparcely stocked with toileteries and barely enough towels. Breakfast was disappointing - the cheese in the buffet was gone off, and the choice of breads/pastries was so limited that we just had cereal and juice and ate elsewhere later that morning.
Hotel is fantastic however had been treated extremely bad by a member of staff so that ruined my time there!
Beautiful hotel, very comfortable, restaurant looked inviting though I was too late to try it. Didn't get a lot of help trying to get myself to the airport in the morning.
Convenient to airport Being an airport hotel, the poor insulation between rooms, makes it very noisy and uncomfortable during the night with guests coming and going.
Convenient to the airport. Complimentary shuttle a big plus. Continental breakfast also a nice touch.
Excellent value for money.
The Lady at the Desk on Sunday morning (Polish) I believe was extremely efficient and took the responsibility to give us a discount on the rooms and as well offer the car park for free. My parents did not have any hot water on Sunday morning, room 214 and the shower was broken in my room (241)... Even if severe conditions might have been partially responsible for hot water not to be available, this was disappointing.
Hotel is close to the airport with prompt shuttle service. Clean, modern room with a good breakfast. Excellent for the price.
It was very basic no bar food we had go next door which was lovely
It was very good and convenient and the staff were very obliging and helpful. It was also good to have the Crown Plaza next door for meals ect. The rooms we booked were realy nice except for one thing. The smell of smoke was terrible. It seemed to be in everything. Do you offer non smoking rooms? It would be a very good idea to offer this.
Ideally located proximate to the Dubliln Airport, this hotel was exceptionally clean and professionally managed. The free shuttle to/from the airport ensured prompt pickup and return. The extended continental breakfast was excellent.
Good value. Reasonable sized rooms. Good value for $.
Very Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere
The staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was nice and clean. Very good location and city centre was a few minutes away by bus! Very good valuev for money. Will definetly go again!!!
Very welcoming owners and staff. Very helpful, an easy trip to the city on bus from just outside as well as for the airport, a very easy location with a good choice of hotels and cafes across the road. A delightful stay for a solo traveller. I will stay again. This is feedback and not a complaint. I would have liked a small chair in my room and a soap holder in shower or liquid soap. My room was lovely I really enjoyed my stay.
cleanliness, hotel staff, nice breakfast
The ABC Guesthouse provided a home-like environment while away from home. I stayed with my 2 parents and enjoyed the full breakfast and the convenience to the city. The bus stops are directly outside the B&B and is a short ride to either the airport or the city centre.
The warm welcome, helpful, good food very clean
Good location , easy access to city centar as well as airport. Very friendly and helpfull host. Pretty room, nice and good bed.
Pretty close to DUB airport. Hard to find, no place to walk. I was charged for breakfast, but couldn't get it. I should have been advised breakfast was not available until 7 AM.
The free airport shuttle. My room was 80 degrees and didn't get much cooler. I realize most (perhaps even all) business in Ireland don't feel like they need a/c when the island stays cool. However, in a fourth story hotel room that has been baked by the sun all day, you either need to have a/c or windows that open more than an inch to cool the room. It took an hour and 3 requests to get a couple of tiny, tabletop fans. The staff at the desk and the porter were very unhelpful. I had just wanted to spend a night resting between flights, but that didn't happen. I should have spent my money elsewhere.
It was a bit noisy at times when trying to sleep.
The Hotel & Staff - great room for the price No
A special mention for fernando who dealt with the a series of probelms cheerfully and very efficiently.I Had booked non-smoking and was given a smoking rom - he changed my room; in the second room the tv didn't work; he changed ly room; he was very friendly and attentive to make sure that there were no further problems.
Close to airport, and transport provided
location, and clean the pillows were not comfy.
good size room, and value for money We were not informed that the shuttle bus service did not operate after ten oclock
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and provided excellent service. The room was far nicer than I was expecting and very comfortable.
I was very impressed with the size of the rooms with a separate kitchen dining area. The general set up of the hotel was very good. Also the man on reception in the night time was very helpful. The car park was full and he told us to park the car in a different section of the car park in front of a CCTV camera and said he would keep an eye on it which I thought was very nice of him. I do not have any complaints. The only thing I wasn't happy with was there was only 2 pillows for a kingsize bed and 2 guests. I just think that with the level of the rooms and staff you could afford to put 4 pillows on a bed.
The courtesy bus to the airport was a great help. Friendly staff. Nice breakfast. It's location, the area was a bity scary for a female on her own, No nearby shops.
not much food and bedroom
Im 7 weeks pregnant so enjoying the lovely swimming pool and the food and room was lovely
The location was excellent for my requirements.Breakfast was very good and car parking was easy. I was woken up 3 or 4 times throughout the night by very noisy people in the corridors. This was most annnoying.
A great location, easy to get to from the airport & into town. Breakfast was limited in choice, tinned fruit!!!
Friendly staff, clean, very relaxed. I was there on a business trip very well located. Having to pay €10 for parking even if you are a resident.
For a one night stay this was a good choice. The breakfast was excellent. Parking was easy.
Good variety of items offered at breakfast. Nice evening meal menu.
Rooms, breakfast, Restaurants, expensive remote parking
Staff very friendly, Helpful when we asked questions about the area. Nice and relaxed
the reception was nice. chess and DVD in the living room. we were 3 people living in a 6 bed room. I was not sure how to change the temp. of shower water. coffee machine in the living room was out of use. the reception didn't know I had changed the booking detail. should have updated the booking more frequently.
We had a delightful stay and would thoroughly recommend Egan's House to anyone wanting to stay in Dublin. Rooms, service and food were all excellent.
The staff were excellent. They were polite and extremely helpful. They couldn't do enough to help. Breakfast was good. The heater in the room was broken and had been replaced with an electric heater which wasn't really sufficient. The room was tiny and in the eves of the house, meaning I had to stoop to walk. I didn't complain about these issues so I don't know what they would have done about them.
Location was good. Having PC access was useful. No queues when checking in or out. Shower was a dribble, shampoo was in those awful hard to open plastic sachels, TV was 12" (tiny), room was small and neither modern nor authentic. Breakfast was self serve so quick.
Enjoyed our stay at htis hotel. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff they were very friendly and helpful . The hotel was clean, the breakfast lovely. Pub nearby again very freindly staff with excellent food. Pleasant walk into the centre of Dublin which took about 30 minutes so taxi back!
cheap and cheerful no tea making facilities in room
Its location is pretty convenient for a wee city break, bus stops are very close and it only takes 10-15 min to get to town (Temple Bar, O'Conell St, Trinity College,...). The heating works perfect and breakfast is delicious. The double room was a bit small and the shower head is fixed to the wall so you can't take it off, besides the water pressure was a bit low.
Close to do the airport and city center. I enjoyed my stay at the Egan House and recommend others to stay there.
We had stayed at Egans House over the New Year 2009/2010 and found it very comfortable and with excellent facilities. This was the main reason for booking again. However, the facilities are now very poor, with everything that was previously free of charge now being an expensive extra- see below- and we shall not be returning. It's a shame, we liked it very much before. Everything that was previously included in the room price- parking, breakfast, wi-fi and tea and coffee making facilities- is now a chargeable extra. We were aware of most of these at the time of booking, and found we could park in the road next to the hotel for nothing anyway, but were not prepared for the fact that there are now no kettles in the rooms, and that the tea and coffee previously available free of charge in the lounge is now charged at 2 euros for a cardboard cup of hot water from a machine, into which a tea bag or sachet of coffee can be inserted....we did not make use of this, prefering to get hot drinks much cheaper elswhere in Dublin. It was very, very disappointing, and put quite a dampener on our stay.
was very quiet and family atmosphere Very difficult to find so far from city center
It was in a convenient location for getting into town. The quaint pub in the basement allowed us to sit and talk and have a snack and of course refreshments. The staff helped us with transportation making our trip less stressful.
food and staff Rooms are small
Convienient. Shower, no hot water.
The ambience and the fact you could get a good relatively cheap meal at any time. The location (close to Croke Park) suited me) and public transport to Dublin. Loved Kiera who is a splendid advertisement for your premises Being a non-smoker it is hard to get away from the foul smelling etc.Needed more variety in breakfast foods. mentioned yoghurt on brochure there was none.
location was walking distance from my 'venue'. thta was the reason to stay there ensuite bathroom size very small. 2 single beds in room - bed size very narrow - even though correctly described
Ok area, small shops and places to eat nearby, not too far from the city center WiFi not working in the room despite being advertised; unfriendly staff; no hot water
the single room was tiny. the tv had very poor reception.
There was a very nice bar on the main floor with a very helpful wait staff. The rooms were a very nice size and the price was very affordable. The location leaves a bit to be desired, but can also be consider a plus as it is outside of some of the more touristy locations in Dublin City Center
It was clean an most of the staff were nice and helpful.
Lovely hotel, very comfortable bed, excellent atmosphere in the lounge downstairs as well. Although a little outside of the city center, a multitude of buses can take you right to the middle of things in under 5 minutes. If coming from the airport, take bus 41a or 16 and ask the bus driver to stop at the last stop on Drumcondra Rd before it becomes Dorset (near Dargle Road).
