nice hotel with good breakfast we book the room with breakfast and internet wi-fi, hotel staff refused to gave wifi, charged 17euro per day

Location it's not bad, though it's a bit distant from the centre. The area is calm and quiet. The staff resolved all the problems that we had and was very helpfull. The air conditioner it's powerfull, the breakfast it's very good, and the parking very good for the 8 euros per day, that we paid - with a closed box for the car. May be this hotel it's nor 4 stars, but 3,5 stars, though the breakfast was 4 stars. The cheapest room was very small and we had to changed for the double comfort and pay a little more for it.

Woman in hotel who showed us our room spoke good English. Hotel room was reasonably clean although decor and facilities are very very basic! Water can get very hot - if your prepared to wait. Has a kitchenette, with a small cooker and fridge - although cutlery was very limited - 1 fork 2 knives a spoon and a spatula! Kitchenette is required as the hotel has no resturant or bar or any facilities. There is a subway opposite and a lidl just down the road slightly. Not far from S-bahn station for travel but this only runs til around midnight so no nights out in cologne possible unless you get a taxi back. Hotel is in the middle of what appeared to be an industrial estate. Was concerned about the security when parking the car. Entrance is at the back, down some steps into the basement, through a rotten wood door. Can not get into hotel until 3pm as the reception is only open a few hours a day. They then give you a key to the door at the rear and to the room. Entrance hallway is dark with water pipes going above your head and very old decor (even after the so called refurbishment). Walk up a number of flights of stairs, past a fire alarm point that says out of order with the emergency glass smashed on it - so didn't feel safe in the event of a fire. Hotel seemed to be shared resisdence with some rooms being hotel and some being privately owned

very nice welcome, room was good size and clean we could smell that people were smoking mariuhana and at the last night there was a smell we never smelled before it was very horrible

The room is so big, spacious and clean. The receptionist is very accomodating and friendly. The hotel is very frightening coz it seems like an old hospital. There is lavatory in the hallway, a butterfly door commonly used in the hospital, and a hanging lamp in the room which looks like a light used in the operating room. The place is very silent and the hallway is very dark at night. We don't know if we are the only guest that night. The Hotel must have a lobby for the reception of guest. I felt like there is no attendant or receptionist at night coz when we check out early in the morning, we will just drop the key in a box. They need to redecorate each room to make it a hotel ambience.

Not much Beds uncomfortable and room gloomy

The hotel was quiet, but I guess fairly empty. There was free internet in the reception which was handy. It was not clear that the reception was across the road. It took ages for us to find it as it was not signposted. The cleaning staff just barged in the room in the morning while we were still dressing. The room was in the basement, so it was very dark and the view was mostly of a concrete wall and some stairs. The bedding wasn't adequate - the duvet was thin and the pillow was hardly even worth having at all. I'd definitely say this is only suitable for business trips - there's nothing in the local area. Luckily we were only there for one night for a gig in the local area, so it was fine.
