Pros: The service was amazing. Everyone was so friendly. There are a lot of restaurant choices and the food was good. The hotel is large but very spread out making it feel more intimate.
Cons: There is no privacy in the bathroom.
Pros: The grounds are great. Really liked the setup. People were so nice. Really a great place to visit.
Cons: Did NOT like the glass bathroom doors. No privacy.
Pros: This was such an incredible resort! I loved every minute. The staff was excellent and friendly, the food was great, the location was amazing. I loved how many lounge chairs they had as we never had to get to the pool early to secure out spots. I can't wait to go back!
Cons: I would have loved if they had more of the large bed cabanas. They were amazing, but there were only like 6 and so were taken quickly. But honestly, that's not really a complaint because this place was the best.
Pros: Everything about this resort was amazing! The food, staff, location etc! I could go on forever! It is almost like a completely different resort from day to night. During the day there is tons of entertainment around the pool and beach and then at night everyone gets dressed up for a nice dinner.
Cons: The only 1 complaint that I have is although the bed is beautiful it's extremely uncomfortable!
Pros: You won't be disappointed - beautiful-top of line service - great restaurants- entertainment and more. There is a great atmosphere and the beaches are picturesque.
I will be back for sure
Cons: Sunscreen too expensive
Pros: Everything is clean, tasty, and designed to make the guest happy.
Cons: AC was not strong enough in the main restaurants.
Pros: The resort was great not a dull moment, beach was beautiful and the rooms were outstanding. Food was pretty great as well, especially the Asian and French restaurants, although, I enjoyed them all. The staff took our stay to the nextt level They know your name, cater to your every whim and genuinely want you to have a good time. The event coordinators we met(Marcos, Luis, Joe and Nestor) made sure there was plenty to do every day if that's what your in to and the bar tenders and drink staff were incredible. Ever was our bar hop and he went above and beyond for us! Love this resort, will most certainly be back!
Cons: No real complaints, ran out of sunscreen at the resort was like 28 USD seemed a bit much. The hookahs they offer were a bit dated and was not impressed with their quality.
Pros: The staff was excellent!! The whole resort was extremely clean and beautiful!! I will definitely be back!!

Pros: Room was clean. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Cons: Food is just okay. Not sure if it's because it wasn't peak season by then.
Pros: everything was perfect, this hotel didn't miss a thing. Every detail was attended to. What a great stay!
Pros: The staff was amazing, very welcoming and surprised us with cute things sent to the room to celebrate a birthday. Very impressed with the cleanliness and amenities of this hotel.
Cons: Food at the pelicanos could be better, very fried and bar like good options. Would like to see a smoothie bar or fresh juice area.
Pros: Beautiful poolside view of the beach
Comfortable room with amazing view of pool and beach
Cons: Great food if you are a seafood lover. If not, you may not like the other options available. Spice needs to add tostadas to their breakfast menu!
Pros: Can't say enough good things about our stay at Hyatt Zilara. From the moment we stepped foot from our airport transfer, every single staff member that we interacted with throughout our stay was completely warm, courteous helpful, and just extremely nice. I concluded that the reason the property is prettier than neighboring resorts has to be due to the fact that there was always a small number of staff maintaining a meticulous level of cleanliness and presentation. The open air concept of the hotel is neat and helps to provide that tropical feel. As an all inclusive, adults only resort, food and drinks were also amazing...not to mention that they have all of the popular premium liquors (Grey Goose, Capt Morgan, Crown Royal etc). Finally, it's even prettier than the photos that you'll find on the web!
Pros: Awesome service! Very clean beach! Super good food! Great rooms! Loved the "adult only" part! Overall perfect vacation!!
Cons: There is nothing we didn't like!
Pros: We liked a good food and service was excellent
Cons: There was no night bar and nothing to do after 9pm.
A small selection of restaurants for dinner
Pros: Best on the strip
Pros: the massages at the spa were incredible!!
Pros: Nice food and stuff.
Cons: Room with two separate beds. Uncomfortable
Pros:
Pros: Food was not good , place could use some updates
Pros: The pool is amazing and the swing bar and swim up bar are lovely features.
The location on the beach is stunning and we never tired of the views across the infinity pool.
The spa is very high spec and the therapists good.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend Live Aqua Cancun.
Cons: The food was not always to the highest or consistent standard in all the restaurants compared to the luxurious style of the hotel.
The pillows are uncomfortable. One of our rooms needed an upgrade in the bathroom.
Pros: The pools are amazing, the grounds well kept and the staff are all friendly.
Cons: The aromatherapy is too strong in some places. Painting going on in the main lobby the day we left - left me with a BIG headache. We had to check out of our room at noon. Planned to grab a quick lunch before leaving but nothing available between 12-1 except room service and a couple of places outside in the 100+ temps.
Pros: Nice grounds, although it looks likes its getting a little older.
Staff was great, every single one of them
Spa was great.
Cons: The food was bad. I kept on trying to give this place 2nd and 3rd chances to see if they had anything good. But I was constantly disappointed. It was edible, but far from good. The nail in the coffin is when we got a taco from the airport and it was better than all the food we had at this hotel.
Room felt a little dirty, shower leaked, shower glass door had someone's name scratched into it.
Pros: Attentive Staff, Always willing to take in special requests to make trip more enjoyable, beautiful property, the weather is PERFECT in January. Never seemed overly crowded, even with the weekend group there
Cons: Our airline cancelled our flight and we missed the first day of our trip. We called immediately after finding out but the hotel would not refund our money for that first day, even with proof of the cancellation of our flight. We had to eat that cost.
Pros: A great place, I met my kids there for some relaxing togetherness! The staff is friendly, helpful without being pushy. The place is clean, beautiful and laid back. People from all over the world to meet and enough food variety to keep you from getting bored.
Cons: This visit it wasn't too crowded but I've been there in the past where you have to stalk out your place at the pool. We went because we love the place and got a great deal through Kayak I couldn't afford it at regular price. I would love to get notification that Live Aqua wasn't crowded and had a deal going on - I'd be there again in a minute.
Pros: Common areas, beach, friendliness of the staff, the room view, close to La Isla shopping mall
Pros: The hotel is suppossed to ve o e of the best in Cancun, but it is a great disapointment
Pros: The perfect hotel - paradise.
Cons: Hotel guests start "reserving" lounge chairs by the pool around 7am by leaving towels there; then they don't come back til much later. This is to be expected I guess, not an issue with the hotel itself. Just good to be aware of before you go.

Pros: Everything about the experience was amazing. Pretty clear to me now why it's a 5 star rated hotel.
Cons: N / A
Pros: I like the facility
Cons: I didn't like the staff! I had paid for my stay through kayak arrived at the hotel late and staff didnt let me check in
Pros: The resort was clean, our room was spacious, the beach was beautiful and the food was delicious. We cannot wait for another visit.
Pros: When you stay here you know why it's called the "Grand" Fiesta Americana Coral Beach... It's GRAND! This was our fourth time in Cancun, and second time at this hotel. Service, cleanliness, location - water and land, comfort, style and elegance, and food are the best!
Cons: The price is more than a lot of hotels in Cancun, and it's not All Inclusive So you'll pay for food and drink, but it's worth it!
Pros: Everything about it was exquisite!! I took my husband for his 40th bday. The service was perfect all around. People are so kind and accommodating. The ocean was gorgeous...relaxing, perfection all around!!
Cons: No shuttle service
Pros: High quality luxury hotel with compact layout. Pools and beach about a minute walking from the main lobby area. Beach has little surf and is very swim-able. Bars and restaurants were all high quality and reasonably cheap. I took a mini suite which has a seating area between the sleeping area and the balcony. Perfect for lounging in the afternoon. Plenty of bars, restaurants and nightclubs with 5 minutes walk if you want to experience something outside the hotel.
Cons: Really nothing.
Pros: The staff was excellent, very attentive and helpful and mostly bilingual. We were there in March and the weather was great, but the beach is shaded fairly early in the afternoon. We had to keep moving around the pool to stay in the sun. Luckily the resort was not full so it was not a problem.
We did not eat at the buffets, but ordered off the menu and the food was very good.
Pros: Location of hotel near town, Beauty of Hotel and grounds, cleanliness and maintenance of facilities
Cons: 1) Beach location was not the best. During February, the hotel itself blocked sun from pool and beach from around 8am to 11am and then again from around 4pm to 6pm. Beach and Pool in shadow of hotel.
2) Too many kids for what wants to be a luxurious hotel.
3) Make sure you use the room sign to declare you want privacy. Maids came in every day while we were sleeping or dressing despite our shouting - please don't come in now.
Pros: The location of the resort was perfect. Very close to the shopping, supermarkets, restaurants, ferry to Isla Mujeres. The beach on the resort was also very beautiful. The resort itself was also incredibly nice. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I would definitely go back to this resort.
Cons: We had dinner at the Mexican restaurant in the resort one night; which is a buffet as opposed to a la carte ordering. The dinner was very expensive and "included drinks," however the available drink selection was limited to cheap options that I wouldn't order normally. We also ate dinner a little on the later side and it appeared that the food in the buffet was sitting around for a while before we showed up to eat. All in all, I recommend eating outside of the resort. You will get better food at lower prices.
Pros: Great beach although it gets shade starting at 3:00 pm. Friendly staff. Basilic restaurant amazing. Tea bags and coffee in the room are charged as if they were minibar items. You have to pay to use the gym and the spa, even if the room I stayed in cost me US$500 a night!
Pros: It's right on the beach with plenty of pools and bars to kick it at. The staff is very professional, and > 90% are bilingual. There is even a water sports hut at the end of the beach where you can rent jet skis, parasailing, water jet packs, etc.
Cons: If you're going here in the off-season like we did, I would note that the back side of the hotel (where all the pools and beach are located) does NOT face the sun!! So it gets dark a little early for our taste. The sun went down behind the big hotel at like 3 PM each day. We started waking up at 8 AM to get the most out of our day once we overslept and found out the hard way.

The Resort Fee will be waived for all bookings reserved under ''GRAND CLUB'' rooms category.
Pros: Accommodations, things to do near, dinners, quiet, plenty of beach and chairs.
Cons: Buffets and general access to food, check in we had to haggle for over an hour to get what was promised to us at booking, the concierge messed up a catamaran booking for us, accommodations were dated and just okay.
Pros: Few staff members were very nice
Cons: I stayed in this hotel few years ago and it was amazing, food, service, rooms, etc. but now it has become a very cheap hotel even the price is very high.
The food might look nice and good but it absolutely horrible. If you are used to have good stuff, beware.
Time share staff is a nightmare! I know they want to make business but they are crossing the line. Thia time they tricked my parents saying that some lady would nicely take them to their room when they arrived, no she took them to this desk where she spent one hour trying to convince them about time ahare,,, really???
We never complain but this time at check out we explained what we didnt like (food, time share, etc) and this staff member just said "oh, sorry. I will write that down" yeah right!!
Also beware: there are 5 different pyramids and the pics that they have online it's only from the renovated rooms. Of course not all of them are renovated and we got stucked in this totally '80's room. Clean but decor is not what thw showed in the website.
We pickes this hotel since my parents have been there at least 7 times, we regret to inform that this is the last time! So so so dissapointing.
It all depends on what you are used to, that's all.
Pros: Even with the hotel at full capacity, I received the very best service.
Cons: The royal service
Pros: The beach was ok
Cons: The $150 a night up sell to get a kind size bed when I though I had paid for one. That was supposed to have a butler but didn't
The restaurants close too early .
People trying to sell me a time share.
The excessive incense and aromatherapy in building 5 barf.
Pros: This was a wonderful all inclusive resort with beautiful beachfront property! We enjoyed our stay although rooms are a little small and slightly dated. Need a few more beach chairs as well. Overall, a spot we will return to!
Pros: EXCELLENT FOOD, DRINKS AND SERVICE (IN ROYAL SERVICE)
Cons: IF YOU DONT PAY FOR ROYAL SERVICE IS JUST ANOTHER AVERAGE ALL INCLUSIVE.
THEY TOOK A LONG TIME TO CLEAN THE ROOM (ALWAYS AFETER 4 PM)
Paradisus Cancún is just 15 minutes from Cancun's International Airport and 5 minutes from the city's most popular areas for shopping, dining and nightlife. Five magnificent Mayan-inspired pyramids rise above a 1,500 linear ft. stretch of white sandy beach, surrounded by lush vegetation and our exclusive 9 hole golf course. Relish in five-star comfort and luxury and experience the service that has earned us a "4 Diamonds rating from the AAA".
Pros: Norman was awesome. He was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
Pros: staff was friendly, great value, the rooms were nice and came with a couch, fridge and dining table
Cons: Don't expect more its a small motel with 10X10 pool so your back yard pool is bigger then this.
Pros: Friendly staff
Good location for off-kulkana
Cons: Hotel desk operator wouldn't assist with anything like advising a place to go snorkeling or how to call Mexican collect call operator
Bugs in my bed
Room smelled like smoke
Pros: The hotel was great and the staff was nice. Each room had its own WiFi. There was a living room area, along with a large bedroom and bathroom. Everything was updated and was nicer than the hotel we stayed in for 180.00 per night on the beach.
Cons: The only complaint We have regarding this hotel was the smell of our room. We aren't sure if it's the cleaning supies or what but it was pretty horrible. If you can get past the smell though the hotel is great to stay in.
Pros: Everything was excellent. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a wifi hotspot outside room, so very fast connection. We had plenty of hot water and water pressure. The hotel food was great and really good restaurants were within walking distance. The pool area was private and comfy. There is a casino right next door.
Cons: It was far from the airport and beaches. Call the hotel to arrange a taxi to the airport, only $20. We took the airport shuttle, 40 min wait and $40.
Pros: The staff mostly and the ease of my stay
Cons: It's right next to a busy casino that makes parking anywhere near the hotel a little difficult.
Pros: Friendly/Helpful Reception and hotel staff
Nice & clean
Spacious, comfortable room.
Extras in the room: coffee maker, microwave, mini fridge
Beautifully updated, spacious bathroom.
Excellent water pressure - especially if you have long hair to wash
Privacy around pool area.
On site restaurant & complimentary continental breakfast.
Excellent downtown location: public transport/bus stop 50 yards from entrance. Mall 2 blocks (5min walking) away. Supermarket, pharmacy & restaurants all close-by (walking distance).
Complimentary DVD's to choose from to watch if you'd like.
SMOKE FREE. Thank goodness.
Booking via Kayak saved me 50% off the price you'd pay if you reserved at the front desk. Not kidding.
There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel for this price point, and I have rather high expectations.
Comparable to a 3.5 to 4 star hotel in the USA.
Cons: There is nothing I didn't like about this hotel. Highly recommended.
Pros: The room was super clean, large. Well done rooms and just a good friendly place
At Ambiance Suites Cancun, you'll be within a 10-minute drive of La Sagrada Familia Parish. Guests can take a dip in the outdoor pool, and freebies like WiFi, valet parking, and self parking are added perks. A children's pool and a terrace are other highlights, and rooms offer up nice touches like iPod docks and pillowtop beds with Egyptian cotton sheets.
Pros: Beautiful facilities. Good restaurants that were reasonably priced. Lovely pool and beach areas.
Cons: I got a bargain deal, and so got a room facing the street, and it smelled a little of mold. Next time I will splurge and get a higher-priced room.
Pros: Best place we could have chosen in Cancun for a night relaxing getaway. Everyone at the resort was very nice, a ton of staff (all of which were very nice). it wasn't your typical cancun party hotel - it was very calm, some families, and a lot of europeans/south americans. Our room was great - very clean with a balcony with a sea view (even though we just booked a standard room)! The beach was amazing covered in palm trees for plenty of shade and relaxation.
Would definitely stay here again!
Cons: Everything was amazing but if I had to say one thing - the room bathrooms are slightly outdated. But we were barely in the room anyways so it doesn't really matter!
Pros: Facility was nice beautiful. Food was great. Room was spacious.
Cons: After paying $150 a night they asked for an additional $40 for a third guest. No problem their I guess that was the rule of the hotel.
We were in a rush to leave and upon check out they asked us to stay so they could review the room. This in itself was ridiculous. If their was an issue they could bring it up after checkout and then charge the credit card after.
After they reviewed the room they then brought up something absolutely stupid. They mentioned a small towel had blood on it and I needed to pay 20 pesos for it. I thought it was a joke. 20 pesos is not much equivalent to $1 but after spending over $400 on room , drinks and food they had the nerve to ask for 20 pesos for a small towen.
What a joke.
Pros: I love that they have suites with a kitchen because it feels like home and is more flexible.
Cons: There were bedbugs that ate my dad alive and other customers had the same problem, even though I have stayed here before with no problems. I all also had a booking issue and they were not very helpful. I felt like they felt I was a wealthy American with lots of money so they could take advantage of me. But that is kind-of the overall feeling of the area anyway.
Pros: Wonderful room and beautiful hotel for a decent price. Would definitely stay there again.
Pros: Nice pool and quick access to the beach.
Cons: Limited and tight parking spaces.
Pros: beautiful beach, and good prices inside the hotel. Staff friendly. Beach perfect for family and relax.
Cons: Someone stoled money from my backpack in my room and my room had a problem with water, where the water flow through the floor. Maybe I didnt had look but, this was my experience
Pros: We felt like what we got at Kin Ha was exactly what we paid for. It's a cheaper option, so things aren't perfect. The room is in okay condition, but who goes to Cancun to be in their room? We liked that we had a small kitchenette so we could go to the mini-supermarket nearby and buy breakfast makings for the mornings. The beachfront was quiet and clean, and the pool area was nice. The staff was very friendly and gave us a little bit later of a checkout. All in all, it's a solid choice for the money.
Cons: Like I mentioned before, you get what you pay for. There are some things falling apart in the room and the beds were really small. We were only there for one night, so these things weren't too big of a deal. For a longer stay, just ask for a room with bigger beds. For the money, it's a pretty good place.
Nestled on the beach, this Avenida Kukulkan resort is 0.3 mi (0.5 km) from Plaza Caracol Mall and 2.5 mi (4.1 km) from La Isla Shopping Mall. Caracol Beach and Forum Beach are also within 15 minutes.
Pros: The resort is beautiful and is definitely a nice place to stay. Great rooms and great pool, right on the front of the beach.
Cons: We stayed 5 days and they made us move rooms after two nights. They told us when we would moved they would move our stuff for us as long as it was packed into the next room. When it came time to move we had a tour all day and we had to leave our suit cases outside with the bellmen until 10 at night. Then when we did get the room we had to complain four times about the wifi not working.
Pros: The wifi was alright, not amazing. Skype calls were a little choppy. The wifi reached the pool area and green lawn area but not all the way to the beach. The hotel had beach towels, snorkeling gear, boats, and other cool gear for rent. The beach was really nice. There's a safe in the room where valuables can be kept. The air conditioning was great, and it was easy to take the bus right outside the hotel. The staff spoke English and was very helpful.
Cons: During checkin, we had a very unfriendly RBF lady check us in. The rest of the staff was friendlier, but it we did not have a good first impression. Every Sunday, every single guest is required to switch rooms for some odd reason. It was super annoying because we either had to be there at 11am - 12 noon and compromise plans to move rooms, or give our luggage to the bellhop and tip him. The restaurant served small portions for a high price with mediocre food. The hotel advertising makes it seem like there's multiple places to eat, but there's only one restaurant, a cafe, and a grocery store. You also have to use your room card to pay for things around the hotel. This was annoying when we were not able to check in until 4pm but were waiting at the hotel.
Pros: Our suite was very comfortable, the beach was excellent. Will not repeat due to unmotivated (unless tipped) staff, poor food.
Cons: The staff make no effort unless tipped. This is quite different from our preferrencet where staff earn great tips with great service.
Bartenders were bored. Why? Charging $4-6 for a drink probably encouraged many people to BYO. That might have been the desired effect, but it made the place feel extra dull.
Food was really very disappointing, and it's inexcusable (I mean seriously, embarassing even for a guest) for "Paco's Tacos" at the Royal Sands to serve such terrible quality Mexican food. It was unrecognizable as Mexican food. Just sad. so the next day we tried burgers at Tradewinds and could not finish them, they had such a weird funk to their mystery meat bulk storebought selves. We avoided the restaurants for the remainder of our stay. When you have a captive audience and you abuse that with crap food it's disappointing to say the least.
Pros: The room my wife and I stood had an amazing waterfront view.
Pros: The food friendly employees, clean
Cons: The credit card we had to use
Pros: Love the location, the service, and the overall facilities. The view of the beach from my room was awesome. Everything was excellent, and for the price, it really is great deal!
Cons: Elevators are a bit far, at least from the area where I stayed on the 3rd floor, so it made it difficult to choose from walking far to using the stairs on a bad knee.
Pros: The staff was very accommodating. Location was a 10 minute cab ride to the shops and restaurants of Cancun. This could be a great place to stay since it has a kitchenette and dinning room area. We only stayed for one night but discussed this would be a great week long stay location to cook breakfast and dinners.
Cons: The crowd was very older in age and the décor in the rooms were outdated.
Pros: We really liked this resort. The facilities including rooms as well as public spaces were all kept squeaky clean. The pool area is beautiful and features a swim up pool bar that was a great spot to cool off and enjoy a frosty beverage. The beach featured powdery soft white sand that never got hot under foot no matter how hard the sun beat down on it.
Cons: Similar to a cruise ship, this Resort uses a cash less system where your room key is your credit card. It is easy to over spend when you can't keep close tabs on spending. A few delicious dinners at the Tradewinds Restaurant, a couple drinks at the bar and before you know it your running a higher tab than anticipated.
Cons: Wait for front desk service
Pros: Fantastic resort 12th time staying there. Perfect distance for if you wanna get into party scene but also wanna get away from it.
Escape to paradise. Sink your toes into soft white sand thats always cool to the touch and listen to the murmur of the waves. Start the day with a swim in the pool, work out in the gym or sign up for tennis and sail boating. The Royal Caribbean, an All Suites Resort offers plenty of activities for families and friends and after a busy morning, visit the spa for a selection of relaxing massages and therapies. Pros: Spacious, small clean pool. New and nice decore. They arranged ground floor as mom is in wheelchair.
Easy ground level free parking.
Cons: Terrible check in. Dispute my confirmed reservation that I provided the check in staff made us wait. Not sure if he found the reservation.
Terrible to have rock and roll till just after4:00AM!!!!!
Pros: Friendly staff, clean rooms, nice courtyard, walking to Walmart, 666 bar on same block.
Cons: Had to be in your room for a/c to work,.(no cooling room for your return), small refrigerate didn't cool well. That's all, no bad deal. Beds are firm but I like that.
Pros: Clean and simple. Good for what we needed.
Cons: The "third bed" in the room turned out to be a couch that folded down. Ok, but not as expected.
Grand City Hotel offers a great location, putting you within a 15-minute walk of La Sagrada Familia Parish. Guests can splash around at the outdoor pool or grab a bite to eat at the restaurant. Rooms feature bonuses like refrigerators and microwaves, along with LCD TVs and free WiFi.
Pros: To begin with the staff was amazing! Always willing to help no matter what. We never had problems with anything in the room and if we needed something it was done promptly. The beach view was to die for! The hotel was always clean and food was always good which is a plus! I highly recommend staying here! Will definitely book here again when the time comes!
Cons: The hotel is general was not fresh. As soon as you walked it you could feel the humidity but the rooms were really cool and fresh so it worked out!(:
Pros: A clean, safe place with friendly and helpful personnel .
Good location. Easy access to the beach nightlife.
Pros: The place was amazing. Everyone was there to help you and please you. We had troubles with rooming situation and Irvin helped us out so much. He was able to fix our situation and be super friendly about it the whole time. We went over spring break weekend, but the hotel was pretty good about quieting people down during the night so we got a great nights sleep each night! The hotel itself is amazing. It has a great beach, staff, pool, super clean, food, and drinks. I was there for six days and had a blast the entire time!
Pros: The resort was very average. The location was amazing. It is on a clean part of the beach. They provide cabanas on the beach. And when you leave the resort you are a very quick walk to all the bars and restaurants.
Cons: We traveled with a wedding party and were able to see the resort where our friends stayed. Although this resort was average in appearance, it was WAY over priced (compared to where our friends stayed and what they paid). The all inclusive is NOT included if you book through a third party (kayak, orbitz, expedia). When we got to the hotel is was $240 additional per person even though the hotel is advertised as an all inclusive on Kayak. Our view was of the loud banging construction that woke us up at 5am each day. When I called to see if we could move rooms, I was told we could get some ear plugs. The construction was loud and early! There is no hot tub at all. The resort is very small. Also, the house keeping staff skipped our room one day, on another day they charged us $100 for spilling a cocktail on the comforter.
Pros: The beach
Cons: The wait time in the reception ... And you can feel the sun inside of the lobby
Pros: The pool area was amazing with lounge chairs built into the pool so laying on one , the water just covered my body---nice
Cons: Open air clubs full of partners and loud thumping music could be heard in the room at night
Krystal Grand Punta Cancn is a one of the best luxury hotel in Cancun that features a superb location and one of the best white sand beaches in Cancun with breathtaking views over the Caribbean Sea and Nichupte Laggon.
Pros: They upgraded us to the Caribe they own next door, we had a ocean view, quieter pool than royal Solaris, some meals were very Good others were just ok, resort beautiful and well kept, staff very attentive, even more so when you tipped them, everyone very friendly, if I went again I would stay at the caribe again. W made lots of friends with the staff and some other travelers. The resort had all types of people including families. Also important we could get a chair on beach or at the pool.
Cons: The food sometimes was just ok, but that happens when you have buffets.
Pros: Convenience of meals which are abundant and available 24/7
Staff are very friendly
Great view and location
Great kids club and pool - highly recommended if you have kids
Convenient taxi service from hotel
Cons: Many dishes were not great; they are acceptable but not something to rave about.
Very busy hotel; not for those wanting a quiet getaway
Hotel activities are too loud especially in the lobby at night
Only two sets of elevators in entire building; not enough for the capacity of guests of building
Always long lines at front desk; they need to add more staff during checkout time.
Pros: The food was excellent. My favorite part was the pool and the swim up bar. They have water volleyball and water basketball. There is always some sort of game going on at the pool area. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were cleaned thoroughly every day. Easy bus ride to the night clubs for 50 cents. All in all I felt that this was the perfect resort for a group of friends (we are in our mid 20s), couples, or families.
Cons: The buffet could have more variety each day.
Cons: I could hear everything going on in the next room. The rooms smelled very strong perfume odor. The woman at the front desk was rude. Not the best customer service but, ok for the price.
Pros: The staff was excellent! They were all very professional, kind, and courteous. Our room was very clean, the food was tasty.
Cons: I hated the fact that Internet was $17 U.S. Dollars for 24 hours! It was supposed to be free! Everyone everywhere wanted/asked for tips.
Pros: The beach, the pool, the breakfast and dinner buffet. (The food was well above average and quite good at times). Great poolside drink service from Roberto, our waiter on more than one day. Our beach front room was a bit bare (furniture wise) but it was clean and roomy. Cleaning staff did a great job.
Bus stop right out front will get you to center of nightlife (about a five minute ride) for under a dollar. It's location away from the center made the beach that much better and less crowded.
We had a great stay.
Cons: Time share push after check in. Just insist that you want to go right up to your room and dodge this (they were not aggressive when we did this).
Pros: The hotel staff were the best of numerous resorts we have stayed at. Very helpful, pleasant and professional. Our room was clean and very comfortable. The beach was clean and well groomed. The pools were beautiful. The best lunch was the pizza oven, serving up made to order pizzas!
Cons: It is a bit dated in the lobby. The food is what I would consider average. If I book another all-inclusive in Cancun , I would look elsewhere because of the food. We usually go for more than a week and I don't think we would enjoy the dining experience here for that long.
Pros: Easy. Everything was close together. Staff was nice.
Cons: The facilities are dated. Towels were a dingy brown green color. Restaurants were never consistently open. People come to Mexico for Mexican food and the Mexican restaurant was closed most days we were there.
Pros: The staff was good the lady manager Ava was very good too
Cons: They need to include the Internet
Pros: Royal Solaris is a fairly inexpensive all inclusive with decent sea views. Multiple choices in places to eat.
Some of the wait staff actually made an effort to make our honeymoon enjoyable. A waiter by the name of Mibsam was the friendliest individual on staff by far. The members working the front desk were always very helpful as well.
Cons: I've stayed at two other resorts in Cancun and a third in Cozumel. All of which were competively priced with this one and offered equivalent all inclusive packages. All had nicer rooms, higher quality finishes to give a luxury feel, and professional staff.
1. The Rooms
The first room my wife and I experienced was less than ideal. The ceiling was so short we both could reach up and touch the ceiling. All bathrooms lacked ventilation so mold and paint bubbling should be expected. The first room's bathroom had a curious layout with lights hanging out of the socket. It was fixed shortly thereafter, but if I had kids I would not have accepted the room. Exposed electrical surfaces in a wet space with no ventilation is a disaster waiting to happen.
We payed to upgrade our room to the jacuzzi room which looked much more like a normal hotel room. The bathroom still didn't have any ventilation. in addition, the tile work wasn't very impressive. The finishes looked very sloppy and didn't seem to have a luxury feel. Get what you pay for...
aforementioned are the staff that were very helpful and good at their jobs. What I was concerned about is that very few people were concerned about making our honeymoon special.
Bartenders were always very nice, maybe a little too nice.. There were numerous spring breakers and Its always okay to let lose. There needs to be more discretion as to when to cut somebody off. Every day there was someone being wheelchaired out. Alcohol poisoning got pretty serious for some of these guys and could have easily been taken care of. ive spent spring break with my buddies before down in a different resort and not only were the rooms and facilities much nicer, the staff were willing to look out for you and help you out.... They were so far gone they couldn't tell the difference between water and tequila.
much of the staff seemed to be more concerned about helping/ serving the spring breakers over the families. numerous families found it difficult to sleep at night with spring breakers coming around at night being extremely boisterous. I woke up every night from the noise. Solution that other resorts use... Escort them back to their rooms.
Always had decent food. Also had plenty of seating with nice views of the sea. However, half the time the waiter would forget our drinks or take a long time to get our drinks. One day I finished my entire meal before getting our drinks. in this case it really depends on your waiter. There are some really good ones and some that don't seem to care.
Pros: First the food was excellent the service was extraordinary as they great you since you enter the hotel, staff was amazing and the pools and kids club was awesome! Super safe for family with children. Bartenders are knowledgable of drinks and very friendly.. The reataurant was very delicious with the 5 course meals. We felt right at home!! I would definitely stay At The Grand Solaris! Thumbs up for food ,cleanliness, staff, and overall the atmosphere was great oh and to add the shows were wonderful!! I miss being there my kids loved it!!! If you want to have a great and relaxing time, to make wonderful memories and enjoy the beautiful beaches and views go to The Grans Solaris! We truly had la passion del Solaris!!(:
Cons: The only thing was they need to add toilet covers around the resorts restrooms, pillows a bit hard.
Pros: Best Time EVER :)
Where to start everything was perfect as soon that we walk in, everyone is super nice and friendly. Rooms where clean and our View priceless, The food was great no one got sick. They had activity everyday at the lobby and the pool activity where so much sun. A SPECIAL thanks to Enrique Felipe and Colorado they would go out of there way to make us feel like home. Also the Bar Tenders where so friendly and they made us a super yummy Sapitos shoots and drinks. We are definitely returning to Royal Solaries . :) out next stay to Royal Solaris will be in Cabo San Lucas,
Beautifully nestled between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon in the less-crowded southern end of Cancún, Royal Solaris Cancún is within 2 km (1.25 mi) of the El Rey Mayan ruins and Wet'n Wild waterpark
Pros: The place was clean and nice. Pretty nice room and view, very centric. The stuff was nice over all and very helpful
Cons: They change the name of the hotel which took us a while to find, the parking was a bit too small but we found a spot. The ad said it came with breakfast but when arrived they said it didn't come with it
Pros: I liked leaving the hotel early the day after check-in and the thought of never returning!
Cons: 1. I hour check-in.
2. Beds that are so hard you might as well sleep on the floor.
3. The paper thin walls that allow you to be a part of your neighbors conversation all night long.
4. The noise from outside the hotel that went on till 6:20am
5. Elevators that don't work
6 No real staff coordination
Pros: Hotel was clean, staff was nice but the breakfast wasn't that great plus I was mislead to believe u had beach access
Cons: Location. Since kystal is the sister hotel, all guest should have access to the beach without a price
B2B HOTEL & PLAZA CANCUN- AVENIDA SAYIL SM-4C7 MALECóN CANCúN is 5 star Hotel located Hotel Zone, Cancun. This Hotel has about 192 rooms. This Hotel's room amenities include Television, Air conditioning, Wi-Fi in room, Mini bar, coffee/tea maker, security box, Hairdryer, Trouser press, Balcony; This Hotel's facilities and services include bar, poolside bar, restaurant, banquet hall, gift shop, business center, swimming pool, indoor swimming pool, fitness club, massage, concierge, parking lot, room service;
Pros: Very easy to reach, low cost valet parking, good spot for access to the Centre of Cancun. Not a beach hotel.
The ibis Cancun Centro hotel is in the city's largest financial district, a stone's throw from the Las Américas shopping center, just 15 minutes away from the airport and 10 minutes from the crystal-clear waters of Cancún. The hotel has 190 modern and comfortable rooms, an "ibis Kitchen Lounge" restaurant, daily buffet breakfast and a bar with a 24/7 snack service. The hotel offers free WIFI, a car park and access for people with reduced mobility and is strictly non-smoking
Pros: Some of the staff and the location were good
Cons: I wasn't expecting high quality food, having been to a number of all inclusive resorts in the past. However, a large percentage of the items served here were bad. I don't mean they were not prepared well, rather they were at very stages of spoiled. Worst was the breakfast meat served for room service, which reeked when sliced into and was many days expired. We quickly got in the habit of first taking a small sample before consuming anything.
This combined with indifference by the staff, particularly at the front desk, should cause you pause if you are considering staying at this location.
Also, do not believe that your package includes everything described. WiFi is not included, and ocean view may require you to stand on a chair to see over the wall. Kayak should drop this location or appropriately update the descriptions to reflect reality.
Pros: Staff stood out the most as tolerant helpful and nice. Loads of food and drink.
Cons: All was fine but if you want to be in heart of cancun hotel nightlife then you are 10 minute plus drive away. Food was fine but obviously if you are in a more luxurious place the cuisine is of a different caliber.
Pros: Had a wonderful time at GR Solaris. There was always plenty to do, eat, and drink.
The staff was wonderful! We were upgraded at check-in from a regular room to a beautiful Ocean-front with jacuzzi. I have no complaints about anything from the weekend! I would definitely go back!
Pros: My sister and I travelled here. We had a great time!! Staff were nice, clean, and overall a great experience! 24 room service was a perk we really liked! And our room was ocean view, really nice.
Cons: Good was decent. Wish they had more resturants to choose from
Pros: A variety of foods were offered.
The Marco Polo restaurant was excellent.
We loved our server Señor Felix (feliciano) who went above and beyond to provide us excellent meal experiences at Marco Polo!!! He was always attentive.
Cons: The wifi service was poor. While other hotels picked up on the beach the wifi at this hotel didn't even pick up in the rooms. It was a bit pricey for very spotty service.
Pros: Overall our experience at the GR Solaris Cancun was good. The food was good limited from a restaurant perspective. The entertainment was fun, but not great. From talking with others, you can tell the staff has done an amazing job of making this a place people want to come back to time and time again.
The patrons and staff, young and old, were friendly and made for an overall enjoyable experience.
Cons: The biggest issue this this hotel was the poor internet service. You pay $37USD per device for 3 days and we had issues staying connected to it anywhere but in the lobby. When we complained, the manager told us there wasn't anything they could do but complain to the company.
The food options were extremely limited, but the food they had was ok. The minibar in the rooms was also very limited. There were just a few beers, a few sodas and 3-4 bottles of water. More options or bars that were open later would have been helpful.
The location on the beach was also not as nice as other places I've been. The water was very rough and the beach wasn't as nice as other locations I've been to in Cancun.
Pros: Not great. Just ok. You won't get the best service or food, but you also won't get sick. Great views of the Caribbean from ocean front rooms.
Pros: My favorite thing about this place was the staff. Everyone spoke English, even the room attendants, so communication was very easy. I did not encounter a single rude person. The wait staff rotated from restaurant to restaurant as the day progressed, so you really got to know the staff. The pools were great... one was really warm, one was just right, and of course the ocean was only a few steps away if you wanted to really cool off. The wait staff came down to the beach to take orders, too, which was probably the best part! The food was mostly good... lots of buffet fare, lots of selection. The reservations-only restaurant, Marco Polos, was very nice. The asian night was my favorite, the french night was not that great (except for the cheese).
Cons: While there were always options for food, the windows for certain things to be open were relatively small. For example, if you wanted a sandwich, the place didn't open until 4:00.
Pros: Nice and clean, fairly close to the clubs.
Cons: Limited food choices, not enough variety. Entertainment was mediocre.
Guests arriving on business have access to the hotel's 3 meeting rooms. Also, an airport drop-off and WiFi are available with a surcharge.
Enjoy your favorite movie in a great theater atmosphere with comfortable chairs, carpeted floors, popcorn, and soda. Regular showtimes are 4 PM and 7 PM. (Movie times subject to change without prior notice.) Kids can also watch their favorite movie at the Mini Cinema located in the children's club.
Pros: the ocean view from the room was beautiful .
Cons: last 10 years I went to Cancun every year and Parnassus was the only resort that did not have mini refrigerator with drinks on it. We drink a lot of water during the night and early morning and it made our stay uncomfortable.
Pros: Room was very large, decent amenities. View from room was good. Beach adjoining hotel was beautiful. Adult pool wasn't bad, but was on lagoon side. Should be on ocean side. Put the kids on the lagoon side
Cons: Food was average at best
Bars were open sporadically
When it rained it was like walking through a rainforest--only problem was I was indoors!
Pros: Beautiful place and great services!
Cons: The only bad thing is that we waited almost 3 hours to get our room ready.
Pros: We like the food....it was amazing!!! Lots to chose from.
Cons: We didn't like the fact after getting there on time for check in (check in is at 3pm) they told us, our "room" wasn't ready, until 4pm!!!!....woow really...after many times checking to see if our room was ready, finally 40 mins later they gave it to us...now check out, same line for check in/check out....people were getting impatient. we only needed our check out pass (we turn in keys early am, to avoid line) but still end up waiting in line!!!...
Pros: All of the staff was nice.
Cons: The food. No flavor.
The elevators kept breaking down.
The entire facility needs to updated.
Pros: Only the beach
Cons: the rooms are not clean, the kids club is from 18 months and they did not mention that on the website or on the phone, the food is served mostly cold because of the big amounts of the client the only good food was at the morning in the buffet, the sushi was terrible the fish looked really old, the swimming pools were looking really dirty especially the pool bar swimming pool, we had had an upgrade to the suite but the suite wasn't clean the bathroom was really dirty the shower was full with blue mold
Pros: All inclusive, good variety of food. Best choice for families with kids.
Cons: On the right side of hotel is very noisy electricity station. No minibar in the rooms
Pros: It's a great all inclusive resort for the whole family, they have activities for everyone.
Cons: The food is far from great, in all the restaurants is like generic and standard, and the Japanese restaurant is the worst i've ever had.
Located 15 minutes from Cancun's Internatinal Airport, 5 minutes from the major entertainment center and 20 minutes from downtown.
Pros: We were grateful for its proximity to the bus station, wifi and breakfast. No curfew was helpful as we reached Cancun very late.
Cons: Our large party booked 3 rooms. We arrived at midnight to find only two rooms. They said they'd look into reimbursing us in the morning, as we had paid for three rooms. Despite the contract agreement, Kukulcan Hostel & Friends would not reimburse. They thought it was fine to give us fewer rooms than we had reserved.
Welcome to Kukulcan Hostel & Friends
Kukulcan Hostel is a Friendly place for you to rest and enjoy our Hostel offers comfortable and clean rooms with A/C, breakfast is included and prepared fpr are our guest. You can cook in the kitchen, we have all you need.
We have a rooftop & lounge area with plasma T.V.
We are 5 minutes walk from ADO bus station, stop bus for the beach, our hostel is close to supermarket ,restaurants & cheep bars.
Cons: Originally booked into a BASIC room and that would be a compliment. The furniture was similar to a thrift store and had one window maybe 3 feet square. The ac worked but could not adju
Pros: Our beach front room was always kept very clean, great view, spacious. The staff was always willing to help, super nice and friendly. The included in your stay breakfast was above expectations. Also the hotel is very close to the center. I'd recommend this hotel to my friends. Five stars! I'll for sure come back.
Cons: We loved everything.
Pros: Complimentary wi-fi.
Centrally located--within walking distance to restaurants/shopping. A bus stop right outside the hotel takes you to downtown in under 10 minutes.
Cons: Construction is going on next door and they work well past midnight--can hear the use of heavy machinery in one of the two rooms I booked.
Sheets had stains.
Both rooms had a strong odor coming from the drain in the shower.
The bar, restaurants, and room service only accept credit/debit as a form of payment,
You can hear everything in the hallway from the room.
Pros: The location was excellent. You can easily walk to several shopping centers nearby (or take the city bus, which stops just outside of the hotel). The staff was always courteous and helpful. The view from my room was beautiful and there was live music at the beachfront restaurant every night. I sat on my balcony and relaxed while listening to the music each night. I highly recommend NYX!
Cons: There was no hot water for the shower or sink. This led to some very chilly showers on the days I had to wake up at 4 a.m. or 5 a.m.
This didn't bother me, but I was on the 6th floor and there's no elevator so be prepared to potentially get a workout.
Pros: We were promptly checked in at our 6pm arrival. The room we were assigned had wet tile floors, the smell of mold and visible mold stains on the bathroom walls. We were given a different room that was bigger in a better location. Unfortunately, this room had worse mold than the first room. The climate control intake was full of dust and dirt and was well beyond needing maintenance. Staff was efficient and friendly at the included breakfast.
Pros: This hotel its truly amazing!
The stuff so helpful, the room are breath taking. Had a huge suite with a huge open balcony with sea view!!! The deinks r just ok nothing special but the food was delicious
Pros: Staff is friendly enough, not overly friendly but not rude either. Lots of Europeans, which is fun. Food is decent. For the price is was worth it. LOVE dining on the beach every night by candle light.
Cons: Get the all inclusive package! If not they will nickel and dime you for everything including a glass of water. I would go back but only as an all inclusive. Alot of smokers.... And they didn't use an ashtray but not the resort's fault.
Pros: I liked the building. It is beautiful. The beach front pool and restaurants are great with life music. It is a clean place. If you like to take photos, this place lends for great backgrounds
Cons: The worst part... the only time i used my debit card was in the lobby ATM.. When I returned from my trip, charges starting appearing from Mexico, Dubai, and other countries! My bank is great so I'm not even concerned, other then I am without a debit card for one week. By the way.. $2k in charges, yes, they went all out. Glad they will get nothing because I caught it early (not the hotel, but whoever stole my number from the ATM) I paid the hotel of course.
I don't like my room cleaned while I'm there so I placed the Do Not Disturb sign. Guess! Yes, they walked in on my fiancee, and another day they walked in and did the bed. By the way, they went through out things. How do I know, If you travel much, you know where your things are. Nothing taken except my privacy and well my money from the ATM. The cleaning staff is grumpy but the behind the counter staff is a lot friendlier. The only reason I stayed is because I was going to leave the first day I got there and search for another hotel, but they game bigger room. And by bigger, I mean a regular size hotel room with only two towels and a floor mat. Wait, two towels? lol All I can do is laugh and now I know to just go for a big chain hotel like I usually do and skip the romanticism. I will make up for the romance with dinners and shows. Thank you for reading. Good Luck
Pros: Malls within resonable walking distance in both directions.
Cons: The basic room in which we stayed desperately needs a renovation. The room didn't have a working safe, as the lock was broken, and the fridge didn't cool either.
Pros: The location is good; a short walk to the luxury shopping at La Isla Mall.
Cons: Upon checkin, we were surprised with an upcharge of $52 for an additional guest. I had booked two rooms for a total of three people for $368 for one night. The website stated that the rooms were two person occupancy. When I explained to the staff that we were only going to be there for a few hours as we had a 4:00 a.m. departure, the staff was unwilling to make any concessions.
When I arrived, there was no concierge at the taxi driveway. I lugged four bags up a flight of stairs in hot sticky late afternoon weather. Upon entering the lobby, the staff ignored us and made no effort to hold open a door or assist with luggage. The room was moldy, dingy and poorly lit with fluorescent lighting. The pillows were thin and inadequate for a room at this price point; there was a top sheet, but no blanket or any sort of comforter. Just a sheet. The pool, and surprisingly, even the hot tubs, were full of young and loud children.
The water in the shower never reached above a slightly warm temperature. There was no lock provided for the old-style room safe in the room.
The wifi did not work in the room at all.
The concrete construction of the room made it impossible to get ANY cellular service in the room.
After having dinner, we returned to the room at 11:00 p.m. and there was a live band performing in the pool bar no less than 15 feet from our room. There were no visible patrons, only a band and a couple of bartenders.
Upon checkout (at 4 a.m.) there was no staff to assist with luggage, so I, once again, schlepped the bags down a long staircase to the taxi staging area. A security guard was roused from sleep and kindly called a cab for us.
This hotel is an example of why I no longer stay in Cancun; the towns further south are much more calm and relaxing.
I am typically a very positive reviewer, but this hotel is substandard and the staff does not seem to care. Stay elsewhere if you can; NYX it off of your list of prospective hotel accommodation providers.
Cons: First room they gave us was an old room, with rusted lamp shades, cloth shower curtain with mold, hard dryer plug fused and melted to the outlet (when I confronted the front desk about this she told me "did you call maintenance?"... for what? so they can rewire the entire room??), we arrive and there was a plate of discarded food on the building steps, when I told the front desk she told me that it was room service... 20 hours later the plate was still there.
After the first night thy switched us to one of the new rooms, still had an ancient mattress, and the pipes smelled like sewers when you flushed.
Pros: Hotel seems very nice at first glance. Modern lobby, two swiming pools, waterfront to the warm Caribbean, However...
The hotel stinks, a mixture of mildew a specific cleaning agent and sewage.
The room was too cold and it was impossible to adjust the temperature (two nights and two lobby phone calls).
I know it sounds capricious but something is broken in this hotel.
I suggest finding something in isla mojeres straight from airport if everything is booked and this is a last option.
NYX Hotel Cancun features an excellent location in the Hotel Zone in Cancun, just steps from shopping malls, restaurants and nightlife. It offers a wide selection of amenities, including restaurants, bars and wedding facilities, along with a variety of water sports and recreational activities for a fun-filled Caribbean vacation.
Cons: Staff not strong on English
Some construction work going on
Salvia Cancun is a great choice for your beach stay in Cancun, putting you near activities like scuba diving, snorkeling, and windsurfing. The outdoor pool provides fun for everyone, and guests can also take advantage of a health club. Snack Bar is open for breakfast and lunch and offers a poolside location. A rooftop terrace and a poolside bar are other highlights, and apartments offer balconies and 24-hour room service.
Pros: Paid $500 for 4 nights, which was a great price. The hotel was well located, near buses to the hotel zone and supermarket's. The staff was super sweet, however the hotel is limited when it comes to resources.
Cons: The lack of resources such as towel and clean sheets. I had to basically fight for towels because they were low in demand. The hotel was fairly clean, but I doubt my sheets, especially the comforterz were. I would pay extra the next time in Cancer for a better hotel.
Pros: Liked not being part of the tourist swarm at the larger hotels. If you want to be closer to the city and culture, this is the place.
Pros: The singers in lobby bar is excellent, the local singers' latin songs interacted with the audience, young and aged people were happy, the songs released the pressure of people daily life from. To a foreigner, it was very impressive these songs has a magic power to touch you, release you.
Cons: The breakfast in lobby restaurant is excellent, not expensive, but delicious.
Pros: The location is good, easy to airport, ADO, market...
Cons: there is no hair dryer, the towels not that good.
Placing you within a 10-minute drive of La Sagrada Familia Parish, Hotel Plaza Kokai Cancún features a nightclub and a rooftop terrace. The outdoor pool is a great spot to take a dip, and guests can grab a bite to eat at El meson espanol, one of 2 restaurants, which serves international cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There's a bar/lounge, and rooms offer room service and free WiFi.
