Beds were very comfortable and rooms were quiet
This place needs to be inspected by the health department because the room was fithy, everything you touch was sticky. Wr wanted a none smoking room but the room we were in smells like smoke. The AC was not working, they have a ceiling fan. I am.writing their corporate office.
NOTHING ABOUT THE STAY AT ALL NO HELP FROM THE FRONT DESK THERE SHOULD BE A SECURITY GUARD PATROLLING THE AREA, ROOMS HAD A BAD ODER PEOPLE PARTING TILL 4:30 IN THE MORNING PLAYING VERY LOUD MUSIC ALSO FIGHTING AND YELLING GOING ON DRUG USE GOING ON OUTSIDE I WILL NEVER PUT MY FAMILY THROUGH THAT AGIAN.
Nothing Mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. Room was dirty. Electrical outlet hanging out of the wall. The pictures on the website look nothing like the hotel itself. Holes in the bedspread. The furniture looked like something from a garage sale. I have see better looking rooms on an episode of cops. I would never stay there again and would not recommend this to anyone.
Room was clean, quiet, comfortable. Outside was dirty, too many people just hanging around outside does not feel safe.
Not much Not much
The beds were nice, the bathroom was spacious for two people. I really enjoyed fan in the bedroom, they were very accommodating and let us have extra keys when ours stopped working! Would stay again! the breakfast was disappointing.
had fridge clean inside the rooms but dirty outside and all around the building. Also somewhat of a rough crowd, people shouting and arguing loudly in the parking at fairly late hours.
Gross. Mold in shower. Cracks in floor. Wood floors made your feet or socks black. Was not worth my money. Would never go back.
It was close to downtown area Tiny roaches in restroom
That it was right off the freeway. The bathroom was falling apart, had holes in the doors, and the towel holders were hanging by just a few threads. The bed was miserable, the pillows were basically non existent and the mattress even had holes in the sides. Didn't realize that our booking was for a smoking room and boy did it stink. All of our clothes had to be washed. The AC unit shut off and on all through the night. Worst sleep ever!! This hotel should be no more than $40 a night!1!!
Hardwood floors were nice Nowhere near university or downtown, next to loud freeway, holes in bedding, no towels upon arrival, MOLD IN BATHROOM, breakfast food was gross, staff was unfriendly, elevator was broken/under repair, ice machine not working
I like the microwave, fridge,etc... that's in the rooms also the big beds. That its very noisy, can't sleep bcuz dope dealers and addicts knocking on your door all night long. Waking you up bcuz they have the wrong room number to where they are going. Go outside people are smoking weed in the open like nothing it was horrible. This is all at the Austin, Tx location off E.Koeing lane by the IHop.
the beds were very comfortable there were roaches and crickets inside the room. the air conditioning didnt cool the room. the fridge did not stay cold. the room was not cleaned thoroughly after the previous tenants as there were belongings and trash left in the room. the pool was tiny. we were attacked by a swarm of bees on the stairs. the only vending machine was located in the lobby. the only access to the second floor was one set of stairs on either side the building, forcing us to walk far with all our luggage.
The room and bathroom were fairly nice looking for such a low-priced motel on the freeway. Breakfast was fairly standard carb-loaded "continental", but they at least had Belgian waffles, fruit and microwaveable sausage biscuit sandwiches. The room had a slight odor that my wife described as "stale popcorn", despite its apparent cleanliness.
Great price, good location - easy access to downtown and ACL Music Festival Room not that clean. Locks on door get stuck and sometimes hard, if not impossible to get into the room.
Good rates and service. Rooms clean Bad location (did not feel safe staying alone) and hard to get to because of construction.
I was surprised with the free breakfast and the friendliness of the staff, both checking in and checking out (which happened to be the same gentleman both times). Even at the end of the breakfast, staff members were still refilling waffle batter and cleaning up after guests. We would have liked more television options, as only local channels were offered in our room, but for the price we paid it was a great value for what we needed! And with wifi available, we didn't really need tv anyway.
One of the few hotels with rooms available the week end of acl festival. not too far from downtown. the Neighbors.
Perfect location near downtown, right off expressway. Especially given the location, it was a good value for the money. Room was decent, basic. Poor insulation on the doors mean you hear everything going on outside. My husband, who is a light sleeper, couldn't sleep. Rooms need some updates, looks like they were halfway remodeled. New shower would be good, light fixtures. Breakfast had few options, no space, and items ran out like fresh fruit. All in all, I'd probably be back if I were in a bind to find a room again.
That we asked for a cab it took 20 min because the lady at the desk must have a deal with him. It cost 20$ . The bedroom looked like it had mold and the toilet paper was wet??? Wouldn't stay again
Location It took me 1h to get check-in due a reservation issue Bed sheets, covers, old.
Great location. 5-10 minutes from university/downtown area. Breakfast had waffles, danish, cereal, and sausage. Poorly maintained. There was notable mold on the bathroom ceiling, a crack in the shower that allowed water between the plastic and wall, the lights flickered and didn't work well, the door didn't close completely. There was a cheeto bag in the entertainment center upon arrival. The staff's response to a 2a.m. call about disruptive guests was that they already asked them to be quiet and didn't know what else to do.
Hotel staff would not take (their policy) my hotel honors customer for giving my points. Your thoughts no one told me when i used Kayak i would not be able to get my credits
Very quiet beds were uncomfortable; if you forgot something you could purchase replacements, but didn't have small samples with good options. I forgot shaving cream but they only had men's. I decided to go with the free lotion they had in the room instead.
While the website stated that they had "shuttle" service, we were told simply that they would be happy to call us a taxi - for $30. Our fare, after getting our own taxi, was $14.00. The shower head was barely attached to the wall. The water temp changed when other people in the building used the water. Breakfast was watery, crap eggs, grease on the bacon, and way over priced. But the worst was when I came downstairs with wet hair and told them that the hair dryer in our room doesn't work. "Her" response was: "Oh, ok." - SERIOUSLY??? Customer Service 101 = "I'm Sorry". Apparently, she never got that training.
Nothing We were charged additional fees by the hotel for using third party brokers. There was supposed to bed and breakfast but me and my wife got awefuly embarrassed when we went downstairs in the morning and told we were not supposed to eat breakfast and that we should pay out of pocket. You robbed us and destroyed our mood for a great weekend. Am never using third party anymore nor would I ever recommend kayak to anybody
Comfortable beds, free and hot breakfast, recently remodeled, and very friendly and accommodating staff. I had zero bad experiences with this hotel.
I liked the fact that it was a good price for such a great room N/A
The staff was very good, friendly and responsive. The hotel is under construction. Half of it was blocked off whoch is fine but it should not have construction starting at 8:00 a.m. on a holiday weekend in the room above us. Also there were problems with hot water.
The king bed was great and comfy. The breakfast was good. Most of the staff was friendly. Everything was clean and in good order. The variable rates!! I didn't know such thing existed and we were charged extra for our last day. Didn't like that! Also the little book in the room said they had complimentary airport transportation and found out that was at that Fairfield Inn. So we had a $50 cab fare which we hadn't counted on. They should edit the book and I let them know that but they didn't seem that concerned. I wouldn't stay there again for those 2 reasons.
Reasonably priced place to stay when picking up our son at UT.
Location Fine hotel except that the bathroom is too small. More counterspace around sink is needed. Full length mirror needs to be somewhere well-lit and not blocked by furniture in front of it.
Liked the bed, having a fridge & microwave, pool, tv, tub. Lights were sketchy, proximity to the highway isn't great but nothing bad really.
Easy to find and beds were decent. Found ants in the rooms and the ac wasn't all that great.
Easy access to expressway. Staff very friendly. Clean comfortable rooms. I liked the airfreshner that was used in our room, the scent was fresh and lasted the entire time we were there. no
Close to event. It must have been a motorcycle convention the while we were there. The loud motorcycles and noisy people thoughout the night made it very unpleasant stay.
There was free breakfast. It wasn't very good, but they had it. The room had bugs. The toilet was full when we got to the room. The sheets were scratchy. The weather stripping on the door was coming off. The AC wasn't working very well. We were put in the room facing the back in the corner. Felt very unsafe in this room. I would have spent the few extra dollars to stay elsewhere.
This hotel was inexpensive and had a big TV and a refrigerator, microwave, and a coffee maker. The housekeepers and front desk crew were very helpful and accommodating. Our room (147) smelled like cat pee. We just put up with it but others might not be able to handle the smell.
Its undergoing renovation but so worth it. Everything is new.. bed furniture you name it.
helpful staff Renovation work made accessing the front desk and the breakfast room less convenient. The lack of a microwave and refrigerator in my room was disappointing. I assume that it was related to the renovation as well.
Staff was inviting and friendly. Facilities met all expectations. Keep up the good work.
Semi pro environment, room couches were extremely dirty but bed was acceptable. Under $90 a night with taxes average rate. Ihop right next to it at walking distance. Bigger tv with hbo in king bed room.
The room was clean, and met our needs for an overnight stay. Great breakfast in the morning. The room was small for a king room occupied by two people. It was a little costly for the size.
When we checked in we asked front desk if price of room quoted was for both nights. Price was confirmed by front desk. Went into town after first night, when we got back to motel our rooms had been cleared out and items brought to front desk. It was 11:00pm and there were no other rooms available. There were two of us at check in and both were told same pricing and days. Was a very humiliating experience.
Our smoke alarm was low on batteries and beeping and it took an hour to get it fixed once we were ready to go to bed
Breakfast was inclusive and not the worst. Limited option but for what you pay not bad. The comforter had holes in them. The 1st floor is completely under construction.
The location and great service. One of two cards stopped working before checkout.
At check in they gave me the key for the incorrect room-320 instead of 302. When I got to the room, it wasn't clean, so I called the front desk and that's how we realized the mix up. Easy mistake to make but also very careless. I would not have known the mistake if the room had already been cleaned, and who knows what would have happened when the real occupant of 320 showed up. The hotel was extremely loud at night-loud patrons, poor noise control between rooms, and the cleaning staff started cleaning very early Sunday morning. Also, there were signs all over the breakfast area saying you weren't allowed to take any food out of the breakfast area. Tacky. Would not stay here again, I only stayed here because I was desperate for a room (attending an out of town wedding).
my room was a conference room with overhead flourescent lights that they "transformed" into a bedroom; the battery in the fire alarm was low and beeped from 5:00 a.m. onward; the blow dryer was a fire hazard; my complaints to the front desk were ignored
Good location, but not great. Hotel was under renovation, so not as spiffy as I might imagine, but not being too nitpicky, it was fine overall & staff was helpful to me when I needed. Don't expect the world, but good standard service and good locale to downtown; still a few miles away, but cheaper.
When looking for a cheap motel, I expected a ratty 1980's bed spread and carpet that required shoes 24/7. This place was clean, new and fresh. Perfect for our impromptu Austin adventure.
Price was cheapest in town. The details on Kayak listed "Entertainment - Wi-Fi and satellite channels" but they charged $2.99 for Wi-Fi (it's the principle not the cost). Additionally even though I had the room furthest from the Freeway, the traffic noise was constant.
It was bad.... Bugs everywhere I didn't like rooms, smell bad in the room! Bugs on the floor!
I was out of there quick without getting killed First room was full of smoke, requested a change to another one that had less smokey smell. Bathtub had pubic hair in it. Had to goto the store and get disinfectant. Called front desk and requested a partial refund.. Have not heard back. Price is high, go elsewhere and pay the extra $15 for cleanliness and less sketchy people hanging out in the parking lot.
Bathroom looked dirty, shower head leaked, no hair dryer in room, no shampoo, etc., sketchy area of town
It was a 15 min walk away from the mall They seemed to have a shortage of towels. They never knew when the rooms were going to be cleaned. I waited for hours one day and they never came
