Staff was friendly and the location was very convenient and there were lots of restaurants around. Room decor is outdated and the showered switched between hot and cold. The Wallpaper in the bathroom came off on some edged And there were some black spots on the ceiling.
Tha Executive floor perks were great Whatever issues we had with our room were dealt with quickly The bathroom faucets leaked. The beds and pillows were too soft fo me.
Location.!! The bathroom needs an upgrade/maintenance there was a clog. Took a couple of minutes for the water to drain.
I loved the staff. So helpful, and friendly. Very accommodating. Just really great people overall. Room could have been cleaner. Bathroom smelled like Pee, and my wife found a tiny rubber band in the bathtub. Neither of us wear braces. Other than that expect to pay typical hotel prices for everything. Overpricing is sadly the norm at places like these.
This hotel should be closed while being remodeled. The smells noise and dirt are awful. The noise was truly unbearable. And my room was not remodeled. Sticky floor that I asked to be cleaned and never was. Old beat up furniture. Leaky faucets. Toilet that wouldn't stop running. You'd think it was a roadside motel that rented rooms by the hour.
Friendly staff :) Temp in the room was hard to control. Also the air condition made a very annoying squeak sound all night long.
Nice location specially the sky ridges connecting 3 hotels to Leachtree Center very helpful staff good security nice size rooms
Went there for a concert. We could walk to the Georgia Dome. We were able to valet car and walk to restaurants/bars.
Lots & lots of interior construction
Easy to find, friendly staff, clean room, I'd stay again.
Hotel is clean, has multiple on-site restaurants including Atlanta's only Tiki Bar, service is prompt and is connected by Slybridge to The Marriot Marquis convention center/hotel. They recently removed their pool and are in the process of installing a large conference center instead. The pillows on the bed are on the flat side and difficult to sleep on, but the front desk is able to get you extra pillows.
Location Hotel under construction, loud noises in the am, room smelled like paint, a little ghetto
Really this was the worst hotel I've ever been to. For context I wasn't bothered by many homeless folks in the area—a social catastrophe and not good for walking home at night, sure, but not a deal breaker for me in itself. But the hotel room was dirty, smelly, noisy, just really bad. I'll let you read the other reviews for some of the details, but they fit my experience. I ended up staying somewhere else for my last couple of days because I wasn't sleeping and my chest felt odd (from the mildew smell?). Don't stay here, it's really not worth it, even at this price.
Besides the other reviews of being across the street from a rehab and shelter and surrounded by homeless people. This is a bad side of Atlanta. When arriving we got our key to our room and when we opened the door another group of teens where on the bed smoking pot. We came back to the front desk and they apologized and gave us another room on the first floor. Our new room smelled and we were scared to even sleep in the bed due to the screaming across the street and the loud banging happening in the parking lot. The fake guard did not give us any security and was by far the WORST hotel no matter the price we have ever stayed. Please avoid at all cost. I would rather tent it in the park than stay here again.
We didn't even get out of the car, took one look at the outside and drove off, dozens of homeless hanging around the entrance, did not feel safe at all. From other reviews (which I would urge you to read) it seems we did the right thing, it is a halfway house not a hotel and should not be being advertised on this site.
Nothing Should not be aloud to still be open nasty
The honest security guard at the gate. It has a small kitchen and AC unit. The moment we came down the street it was covered in garbage. The gate was guarded by a semi-armed guard who informed us that the area was somewhat dangerous due to being located to a shelter and an outbound rehab center, and therefor security and ID checks were needed. I paid 60 for the room and almost died when I saw the advertisement for $30 rooms near the Lakewood Amphitheater. The smell of the room was was stale and smelt of old smoke. The room was still dirty and appeared that only the bed was made to have the appearance of a clean room. There was makeup on the pillowcase and fake eyelashes attached to the mirror by the bed. In the bathroom the light was blown out, but we used the light from the kitchen. There was no towels in the bathroom, but instead there was a small heap of dirty ones in the closet. When I tried to take a shower I immediately left after seeing a smear of brown water on the wall by the shower. I don't know what it was and I don't want to know. The bed didn't have a fitted sheet. Instead there was a sheet of plastic with one of those usual scratchy covers. I am serious, it was a sheet of plastic over a mattress. The room hadn't been vacuumed or cleaned beside the bed being seemingly made. There were various dents on the walls that seemed to be cracking the foundation. Once we managed to fall asleep a man began yelling outside our door. I usually don't panic, but this made me hide behind my husband scared. It appeared the security was more relaxed at night. I submitted this hotel as ADULTS only because I am honestly concerned about a family staying here for the night. This is not safe for children at all. Please if your find yourself here be careful. I attempted to bring up the cleanliness of the room to the front desk, but the young woman had a phone call and seemed not too interested. I have been to hotels that weren't perfect, but I have never been afraid like I was at this one.
A bad experience. Dozens of homeless people in the front
The first thing I do when I get to any hotel is turn on the shower. What I thought was dirt in the tub happened to be a bunch or baby roaches that scattered when I turn on the shower head. I was in this room less then ten minutes and I threw my whole purse away for fear of taking roaches home
This was a surprise good hotel for the value. Staff very professional. I was told that I would have free WiFi. That did not happen I had it for 2 days of my 7 day stay. No one every clean room nor change towels. You are close to a homelesa shelter and they bother you for money every time you come out.I wish I could have gotten more work done if WiFi had work. The TV in my room would not turn down or up. Remote stop working
The first few nights were okay. I like the fact that there's a laundry room. Roach infestation even know they supposedly have this place sprayed...
Cheap very cheap Everything! No towels, mold, smelled to high hell, dirty, horrible stuff, homeless everywhere can't walk the streets, drug dealers hanging out on every floor smoking pot, and the tv was tiny and had volume lock so tou cant turn it up a decent level. And no HBO
Horrible location, next to shelter with mentally unstable thugs. There is a fight or disturbance all night long. You can't leave your room or you might get mugged. The room has mold and cockroaches all over. The place probably has bed bugs as well. The bed sheets were disgusting.
The staff were nice Nasty room. Bed sheets aren't clean. Roaches. Rust inside microwave. Freezer frozen over. Toilet backs up with only water in it. 80+ homeless people in the street near the hotel every night. Left one afternoon to go out for the night when we get back the bathroom is flooded. Tell the security guard, he calls the manager he tells us he has no more rooms to put us up in so we have to wait until morning. We just left. We were not offered any compensation
It was nearby the conference I was attending at the Hilton at a much more affordable rate, yet provided needed facilities... hot shower, comfortable room and free wireless internet.
The wonderful staff! The vending machine goodies were past Best By date
This Motel 6 was very clean. They have ceramic floors instead of the carpet, which is a huge plus! Bathroom, beds and room were clean. I would definitely stay here again if I need a few nights cheap stay in Downton Atlanta. Also the parking was a plus. We felt very secure. The elevator seemed a little small and outdated, but the stairs did us just fine. Even on the 3rd floor it wasn't that bad of a walk.
The location of the motel 6 was nice. It's walking distance to many things in downtown atlanta. The staff was horrible. They were extremely rude and were even hesitant to give us extra towles. I will not stay here again, especially since I can Priceline a nice hotel for even cheaper! The hotel rooms are also very small like a tiny dorm room.
Great service, price and location. I would stay there again.
staff was helpful No, requirements were met
I was pleasantly surprised at how great this Motel 6 was!
The geographical location, being close to many turistical attractions. Very close to the highway. Some rooms are quite noisy all the time.
Clean but very basic. Good Internet access. No B-fast. Right on major free way. Sketchy neighborhood. To expensive for what it offers ($ 99.00 a night).
The proximity to the major hotels where the meeting that I was attending took place. lack of small shampoo samples
Staff are helpful, location is good
The front desk receptionist was knowledgable and friendly. Checked in st 5PM and room was not ready, but this was due to the influx of people leaving the motel due to Hurricane Matthew.
