The location of the hotel is excellent and some of the rroms is refurbished
The location was perfect, just below the old town. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we were given a small suite, although we only booked a double room. Excellent value. The guide book recommended the hotel restaurant, but unfortunately this has now closed.
The location was perfect, just below the old town. The staff were pleasant and helpful and we were given a small suite, although we only booked a double room. Excellent value. If I am correct the hotel is the oldest hotel of Zagreb. The hotel is clean and the people are friendly but for me it was not what I expected as I was looking more for a business hotel. The hotel did not have an elevator, the parking is 5 minutes walking and you cannot get to the hotel with your car as the street is a walking street. Also the hotel is hard to find as it is located in a old shopping mall. Personally I would advice this hotel to tourists who want to be in the centre of the city without having to pay a high cost.
Staff was amazing and attentative. We missed our flight and Melita was able to rebook our stay at no charge and no difficulty. Communication was prompt. Also, Boris, Mislav and Sanja were great hosts, who poited us to the city's sights and gave us good recomendations. Housekeeping lady Ana was also nice and made sure our room wass spotles and well stocked. There is not a single thing that I could complain about. Maybe bathrooms could be little bigger.
the location - the only reason i picked it. stayed at Astoria before which is way nicer and can be cheaper but this time wanted to be closer to the action this is a very basic hotel, somehow i didn't expect it to be *that* basic. no frills, minimal comfort, mebbe 3 channels on TV, lamish breakfast
