The staff was super friendly and fantastic. Accommodations were great. Would definitely come back.
The view from the room was spectacular! The bathroom was clean, but the shower head was sub par. It could have been more luxurious given that it's a prominent hotel.
Great stay!! The staff was great!! Love the room.
I liked the people at the valet and the door. It was our first time there and they were very informative of the area and had many good suggestions. I was impressed. All the people were very good.
Wife loved the bed. Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurants were good but have to give Taza's a two thumbs up on the Mediterranean Chicken and rice. We are not gamblers but enjoyed walking around and watching others do so. Primary reason for our stay was the Phillip Phillips concert which was stellar! No clear cut signs to tell you where to go for checking in. Stumbled across the Valet that worked hard to convince me I was in the right place and it was ok to leave my car.
Price too much
I loved how great the staff is, and how easy the whole process was. We were just staying because we were going to a Guns and Roses concert in Detroit. We enjoyed how easy the check in, the availability of our room. What I did not like, was that when we went to our room, we found that we did not have the view that we wanted. We had a small window facing the river, but you have to be directly facing. If not, you are looking right into a wall. I wish that they would have been more specific on the posting. I am not sure if it was a Kayak issue or a Best Western issue. Better communication of the room.
River view was great but the trade off is that you have a small room. The 20-somethings basically took over my floor making noise well into the post-midnight hours and waking up my young child. Security was very responsive and really leaned on them after I finally called down to the front desk. Breakfast was very much a 2-star experience. The breakfast buffet space was about 800 square feet ... the hotel has 22 floors and the place was pretty full the weekend I was there - you do the math. Som e design engineer needs a smack in the head over that one. No free parking. No microwave in the room. Sound from other rooms/hallways really travels.
Location was good and convenient. Has included hot breakfast which was nice. Rooms are dingy. There are on going renovations in the lobby.
The location. It was perfect for a night or 2 in Windsor. Front "driveway" was not large enough if multiple people came to check in at once. Repairs / remodel being done was a bit of an inconvenience.
Clean and comfortable. It isn't a Hilton Hotel. It is the Waterfront. As a result, we had a very hard time finding it. Luckily, they honored the reservation. There was an additional charge for parking, which was not mentioned.
The view The fact we had one bed for 3 people and the manager was the rudest person I have ever met I. My life
Everything else. Great value for the price. There was some unfinished repairs on the ceiling of the main lobby that didnt look as if it was being taken care of.
The riverfront view is lovely. The inclusive breakfast is above average with a good selection and spacious and comfortable lounge. The room is quite good except for the mattresses. They could use a bit more padding.
We loved the view from our room. It felt good to be able to enjoy room, waterview and to go wherever and do whatever one wanted to do all within reach by a few minutes walk from the hotel. The bed was very comfortable, the room was large, clean and spacious and the view was perfect. We loved our stay there and will go back again for sure.
Great location for our stay. There breakfast was not good and no juices.
this hotel is very low budget and old..the rooms were clean but felt like I was staying at a motel..no amenties not even shuttle to the casino which is on same drive. Old and out dated..elevators smell like pee...very low budget not worth a 100.00 per night. Pay extra and stay at the casino. Very disappointed!!!!
Very happy with the hotel! Great location Staff could be a little more welcoming!
quite clean and friendly staff no elevator
Clean, warm, comfortable bed, nice shower, quick cab ride to downtown/Caeser's Windsor. Small TV with no on-demand or guide station. No mini-bar. Bare minimum continental breakfast. Staff were polite but overly conversational.
Good location, good price. Breakfast was not very good. There were busloads of families and children staying and attending a local swim meet. They made an absolute mess of the breakfast area. The food offerings were not very good. I mean, who serves baked beans with scrambled eggs? Really?
Rooms were clean and set up nice. Also bed was very comfy and good bath products.m Stayed on the second floor so felt like the trucks outside were right under us. Could hear people in the next room too clearly
Everything great service Everything
The location very good for both local and cross-border shopping. The rooms were very comfortable, including the beds. Staff very accommodating and quick to assist. The buffet breakfast was excellent! The only negative is that they do not have a restaurant, however, there are several within the immediate area.
We usually stay at Hampton Inns when we travel in the USA. The Windsor location gave us perfect location for our business and access to cross the border. The hotel rate, compared to the U.S. average per night cost seemed HIGH - which is why we booked thru kayak - to obtain a lower rate. But, by doing so, we were unable to obtain the 'Hilton Honor points'. Also, we suggest to ask for a room at the back of the hotel - the street noise could be excessive if you are a light sleeper.
Good location, excellent customer service from front desk, fait value for the rate. Neighbouring guests were very loud, very late in the evening.
Breakfast was decent and parking is free. Close walk to casino Very noisy at night. Bunch of 19 yr olds running the halls drunk. Room location was not good as it was beside the ice machine and could hear it all night long. As well as could hear then pulling out breakfast carts while trying to sleep. This is well before 7 am. I would say around 5-6 am. Also smelt stale in the rooms and needs redecorating badly.
Peope were great. Hard to find parking. Matter of fact I had to park somewhere else
This hotel is located very close to the casino and most of the downtown restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful with their information to public transportation services and recommended restaurants. The breakfast was nothing special. It had only bread and various jams, which was just good enough for a holdover before lunch. The only other thing I didn't like was the noisy heater.
It was quiet, comfortable and the staff were very helpful considering the hour I arrived. Nothing that the hotel could have prevented as there is construction going on across the road.
The ample sized room was clean and cheery, tucked in a corner of the hotel. Bathroom was clean and well stocked. Bed was comfortable with a choice of pillows. Internet connection was good. Recycling bin is present in room! I was greeted by a very friendly, helpful woman when I checked in shortly after midnight. Since the hotel's restaurant was being remodeled she told me where I could get a good breakfast, and she was right. It was great. The daytime front desk attendant let me know that my friend had stopped by to see me, so we were able to connect quickly. There's a nice little park across the street, next to the river, and downtown Detroit is visible across the river. It's very close to the casino and to the tunnel to Detroit. I would have enjoyed having a view of downtown Detroit and the river. I forgot to request that when I checked in, so I can't really blame the hotel. I could not find blinds to close out the light of the morning, so just wore my eye shades.
No frills great place to stay if you are going to Detroit or Windsor. We loved it and will be back again. Nothing.
Definitely worth the price. The hotel was clean and even though we had a smoking room it didn't smell like smoke which was great! Great location if you're going to the casino. Outdated.
Pamela the front desk lady who took care of us right through checkout was excellent and very very helpful in pointing out local points of interest and was very friendly.
I liked the location - it was right by the water and in the downtown core and so close to lots of amenities. Staff were not friendly - the woman at the front desk was almost openly hostile, not at all friendly or approachable. Even when talking cheerfully about my travel she was openly dismissive to the point of rudeness. At one point I had to excuse myself to use the washroom, she left my Visa sitting out in open view on the counter while she walked away to the other side of the desk. The room itself was very musty and smelled unclean. The blankets smelled unwashed and had to be taken off the beds - they had very clearly not been washed in quite some time. The television was old and the remote did not work which meant limited channels. I have stayed in many different hotels in many different countries but never have I been in a room so dirty
The location was great and the staff were helpful. The walls of the room looked like they had been through a war. There was a giant poorly patched hole in one of the walls and the wallpaper was peeling off.
city was friendly and had a great downtown for resturants and pubs n/a
Good location The hotel room was dirty (sheets, shades, bath tub, stained floors). The staff was less than enthusiastic to help me and threw hidden charges (parking/extra room key) onto my bill that were not described or made aware of before check out.
The hotel was close to the border and the casino. I would have appreciated a complimentary breakfast. The mattress in out room was extremely poor and uncomfortable. The door to the room vibrated and we needed to stick a towel in it to stop the noise from other people using their doors.
Restaurant served us well; close to shopping, university, downtown, restaurants; large comfortable warm rooms; accommodating staff. Nothing, everything was fine.
Fridge didn't work. No breakfast included. Expensive
Love the location and staff. Can't wait for the renovations to be complete
Some of the staff was great and very helpful, others not so much. Overly crowded
The room was very clean and comfortable. The hotel is in great location downtown. A easy walk wherever you want to go. Breakfast is not included in the price which is kind of a bummer. Had to leave the hotel for food. There is no hot tub either.
Very nice location in a beautiful County area provided us with a vacation without travelling far. We stayed here as a couple just to get some alone time together and some peace and quiet and it really worked. We stayed in the honeymoon room with a jetted tub and it was a nice romantic getaway for the night. Breakfast was also very good quality , we got to choose and we went with bacon and eggs. We had a great experience here overall and recommend it to anyone!
It was available We were not notified that the Ontario Summer Games was on and it was full of loud high school kids. It was grungy. No clock so I had to go buy one. Crappy beds and horrible A/C ventilation system set off allergies
This hotel is a dormatory residence with traveler rooms on the ground floor. Very clean. Basic continental breakfast - no hot food choices. Parking in rear. Student run front desk and young adults everywhere - its a dorm! Tim Hortons is on campus for food. Library was nice to hang out and work. It was a good value for those used to college campus lifestyle.
St. Clair College and Conference Center is the ideal place to stay when in Windsor. My husband and I have stayed there often. It is close to the casino, parks/lake and vineyards. The price is much less than other hotels in a 50 mile radius (we have stayed at 4 other hotels) and is great value for the money. The rooms are clean and offer a fridge, spacious bathroom, two bedrooms with a TV in each, includes a continental breakfast and pets are welcome. The breakfast is better than most hotels and there are grills outside that we have used before. I have never needed to complain about noise, smells, or lack of cleanliness, unlike other hotels. !!!No bed begs, which I have seen at another hotel in Windsor and had to fight tooth-and-nail to get my money back because I refused to stay at the hotel-too bad we can't mention names!!! The staff is gracious and accomodating. We could stay at any price hotel we would like, but still choose to stay at St. Clair - it is great for the money and I ha...
Want to stay in a dorm? This is it. Smelly, spartan, loud music and kids smoking out front. Nasty. Conference Center? Where?
Breakfast was OK and the kids were able to get enough to eat before their game I requested a non smoking room and they said they did not get my requrst. The desk girk let me look at two roomd an d let me choosethe bettr of the two but it was still stale and smokey smelling. wish I had brought a can of neutra air but their was no drug store in the vicinity. I would have left but we were in town for a soccer tournament and there were no other rooms avaialble. Overall no value for thr mony.
Comfortable beds, convient location, good breakfast Requested non-smoking with weeks ahead reservation, said had none- room smelled terrible, air did not woek. They moved us and all was AOK except had double beds.
I liked that I had a roof over my head but the accomodations were nothing to write home about. My evening at the festival in Ahmherstburg was fabulous. I was glad to have a place to stay but would have enjoyed it much more had some little things been addressed prior to my arrival. The hotel is in need of a facelift. It is very dated and the funiture, bedding and just the whole ambience are needing some TLC. There were 2 cigarette burns in our comforter, huge holes in the bed skirt, the bathroom was tidy but had not been cleaned, there were hairs on the floor and in the shower that did not belong to us upon arrival. We were on a romantic getaway and this did put a bit of a damper on the whole romance end of things. My suggestion would be the hotel undergo a renovation and updating all around.
Convenience. Arrived Detroit fromUK. Started 3 day road trip to Boston via Niagra. Good value for money
Continental breakfast was very nice. Liked the hard boiled eggs and choices of bagels. Room was comfortable - larger than expected. The bed was a little too hard for me. Felt every move my husband made and ended up sleeping on the sofa bed the first night. That was even harder! Husband slept on it the 2nd night for only part of the night. I think I got more used to the bed the 2nd night. TV was pretty small. Otherwise, thought it was a nice place.
pillows not firm enough
It was close to the church we had to attend a weddig at and close to downtown
Staff very helpful. Continental breakfast very nice. Cleaning staff very friendly.
The staff was helpful in choosing a local hotel and provided a discount coupon. The bathroom had a bit of a smell to it and not the pleasant type.
The pool area is nice for families. My kids loved the slides and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Breakfast was good. Location was convenient to the border crossing. Not the nicest hotel or nicest location, but perfect for what we needed. Room Carpets were dirty.
Great staff and free breakfast was very good. Had a nice room on main floor with patio door.
The breakfast and breakfast area were good. The sink in our room was clogged and couldn't be repaired during our stay because the maintenance person had left for the day. The did offer us another room but we had already unpacked.
clean room with comfy pillows and towels. Great pool. Loved the sliding patio doors. They made packing and unpacking easy. Sausages were great! Not too spicy. Halls very long. It was a real hike to and from the lobby. Breakfast was very good except for the scrambled eggs. Those were dry and tasteless.

I was pleased with the hotel and felt it deserved a higher rating. It has very good pool facilities, clean comfortable room and friendly helpful staff. The breakfast was very good. not really.

cost factor with a pool for kids (age 9 & 7);Hotel room was fine, plenty of space and pleased there was a mini fridge. Breakfast was good. Pool area not too clean, water murkey and hot tub dirty. After washing 2x I had to throw bathing suits out from the musty smell
Cleanliness, location, beds were super comfortable Room was kind of tight. The second bed was right up against the window. And there was a pair of socks (not ours) between the six inch space between the window and bed. YUCK.
Comfortable room - super pleasant staff - did not have housekeeping waking you up super early = bonus! - decent breakfast was included - keurig in room is a nice touch!
Location and free breakfast. Room was dirty , stains on the furniture.
Nice mattresses. Quiet. A bit awkward navigating to because of the divided highway that runs by the front door.
The location was about the only positive i had there. The fridge made weird noises that kept me awake. The wall paper was peeling off the bathroom wall. There was a 12 inch long black hair in my towels. (my hair is grey and very short...1/2 inch long) The TV was from the 80s. NO hi definition. NO flatscreen.

Free Parking We had the worst experience ever!!! People were partying in the room beside us, and we complained several times to the front desk. Nothing changed and by 3am we decided to leave and drive 2 hours home to sleep. I wish I could get my money back.

Everyone was friendly, staff helpful, had a good time in casino, and food great. No
Room was large and very clean. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout visit. Younger age 20s guests who are somewhat noisy and give staff a hard time. However, staff were excellent in handling this age group and very aware of what their other guests deserved and or expected from their visit to the hotel.
On the ground floor.late check out time.large room. In a non smoking room there was multible cigarette burns in the rug that looked about 30 years old, needs ungrading.
It was resonable price. Friendly staff It was run down with poor infastructure
Nothing There was no refrigerator, the room was dingy and had garbage from the past guest, other guests were loud all night...I would never stay here again.
Location renovations long over do
There was a group of young peple staying at the hotel. They were drinking and partying ALL NIGHT outside our room, and in the morning they were still partying and drinking beer in the breakfast room. 'Breakfast' was almost non-existent!DON'T STAY HERE!
The room reminded me of 1985, that's about the only positive thing I can say about the hotel. Oh, and it kept the humidity a little bit out of the room. Overpriced, rooms desperately need maintaining and remodelled. Bed was uncomfortable, least number of springs necessary for it to work. This hotel is a perfect example of what happens when the owner is minimally maintaining the property.
good location, staff were helpful and friendly. room was dusty and dirty with many stains on an old carpet. the whole place had a musty old smell to it with old carpet stains throughout .
Definitely time for a major renovation. Room smelled, mattress may have been comfortable 20 years ago.
