Cons: We booked this particular hotel because of the pool and rooftop options and when we arrived we found that it was closed until the end of June. Perhaps of no fault to the hotel, but the closure of this facility was definitely detrimental to the enjoyment of our stay and was not advertised very clearly when we booked the hotel.

Cons: I cant really say there was anything I didnt like but perhaps some very minor suggestions, could be to offer a TV with some movie channels ? Perhaps also make the rooms a bit more wi fi / internet friendly ? - the USB port didnt work ( to charge our Iphones. but we never reported it ).

Cons: I was expecting a much higher quality service and experience from a five-star hotel . We checked-in for two nights, and as soon as we got up to our room, we found that the internet was not available or working on our floor, and the motorized window blinds were not synchronized or working properly. So, we could not get full blackout from outside light. I actually came down to the lobby and was told things would be fixed immediately. The Wi-Fi network never showed up on any of our family’s 3 tablets and 2 phones during the time we were there, and anytime I tried calling there was a busy signal on the line. Windows weren’t touched while we were in the room, and were still malfunctioning at checkout. Aside from that, my bed had torn bed linens, and the bath towels were thin and scratchy. All in all, I did not feel that the price we paid for our two-night stay was worth it. If we were staying longer, I would have insisted on a room change, but moving around with a 3-year old child is difficult as it is. When I mentioned the issues again at checkout, I was given a half-hearted apology and “aside from the Wi-Fi issue, was there anything wrong?”... This is not reflective of good hospitality experience or training. You always need to offer some resolution to make your guest feel as if you care, whether it is a discount, partial refund or comp for a bad experience.

As a guest, we received a 25% discount on our car parking fees. The room and bathroom were clean and adequately equipped. Decent WiFi connection. Staff were courteous and helpful. Al-Zagal restaurant on the 13th floor offers great views of the city. For sheer convenience, I would recommend this hotel.

Cons: we got to the hotel on our wedding night to find out we couldnt have a double bed eventhough we had requested it we were given a room which to our surprise when we got there someone was already in the room. we were given another room which again was for someone else so third time lucky. We put the do not disturb sign on the door and the cleaner still walked in at 8.30am on a sunday when we were asleep. so not a great experience.

Cons: I don't have anything negative to say but there are a few things I wish I knew before I booked because for some people these could be deal breakers. If you have mobility issues or can't climb stairs easily this is NOT the place for you. I mentioned the place is like a maze, which I loved but when I had 8 bags (2 weeks worth of luggage for travel around Spain) and couldn't find my room for 45 min. There is no rhyme or reason to the layout of this place so some rooms are up around winding hallways and hidden passage ways & there are no signs. Not handicap friendly! The other thing is that there is only wifi in the one common area lobby - so if you need to work or don't feel like splurging on an international data plan, you'll be disconnected for most of your stay as a lot of surround places don't have wifi either.

Cons: The room in block A3 (which is worth avoiding since it is a long way from reception and the hotel entrance) was quite small and poorly lit. The air conditioning had a mind of its own, it was noisy and there did not seem to be any means of adjusting it (I tried and failed). The bed sagged in the middle. OK, the hotel is not extremely expensive but it is not cheap either. You can easily pay EUR170+ per room if you include parking charges. We have stayed in this hotel on a number of occasions previously but the breakfast has disimproved - unpleasant coffee comes from a machine, which is not acceptable for an (allegedly) 5 star hotel. The quality of hot breakfast food has also declined. We visit Sevilla fairly regularly but we will probably not use this hotel again.

Cons: The reception staff were very unfriendly and quite rude at check in! We were a big group with 7 young children in tow so this caused a lot of unnecessary stress when checking in. The NH Sevilla Plaza de Armas hotel is centrally located in Seville. It’s just 7 minutes from the Santa Justa station, next to the 1992 World Exposition Center and near Sierpes Street, a prime shopping district. Guests are within walking distance of the nearby attractions. The NH Sevilla Plaza de Armas is only a few minutes’ walk from the Plaza del Museo, a mere 2.5km from the Museum of Fine Arts and 3km from the Olympic Stadium. There are 5 meeting rooms, catering for anywhere between 8 and 190 people. The hotel was renovated in the summer of 2013 and all of the 262 rooms within the NH Sevilla Plaza de Armas offer clean, contemporary design with hardwood floors. Cons: The hotel was undergoing a major renovation. Near constant construction noise could be heard throughout the day. The staff kindly switched our room to a less noisy one, though the noise could still be heard. In my opinion, the hotel should not be open to guests during such a major construction!

Pros: The hotel is literally right outside the gate of the train station. It was perfect for us since we were trying to get in and out of the train station as quickly as possible. It is perfect for business travelers or someone passing through quickly. The outside and lobby are very modern, but the rooms are dated but clean. Pros: The reception staff were extremely polite and extremely helpful, especially the front desk manager and Suzzana. As were the staff in the Cafe. The cleaning staff were friendly and I had a laugh with them. The food in the cafe is absolutely gorgeous. Especially the wan ton tapas.... My first night I stayed in a single room and it was perfect for me. I am now in a suite as my friend is joing me and it is beautiful. I used the spa for €14 extra. You can use the gym, the pool, the sauna, the steam room and jacuzzi. The jacuzzi is enormous and has jets and beds to lay in in it.... The staff there were also extremely helpful. I am here for another 4 nights and I'm very much looking forward to my extra stay. This hotel is very good value for money. 6 stops on a direct bus from the airport for €4. Or, as I did, a taxi from the bus station was only €5. I'm currently sat on the balcony people watching in the sun and I'm very relaxed and happy. Thank you Hesperia Hotel Sevilla xx

This caused a problem as oddly there was no reference to either booking.com or San Gil hotel on my online banking. This caused some considerable inconvenience prior to our holiday as I thought this was a fraudulent transaction as the payment taken was to QUALITY & CONFOR with no reference to anything else. The price conversion didn't match either as we booked many months ago while ago while the exchange rate was a lot different. This is the first timeI have experienced this with many years of using booking.com

Cons: Disappointed that room was not noise proof. We could hear a lot of noises from both side of the room when people were talking all the time and especially worst during the middle of the night. Shower did not work properly until reported and fixed after a day. Cleaning staff sometimes forgot to replenish toilet papers and took soap away without replacing with another one. The bathroom does not have an extractor fan as a result it remained stuffy for long period. Much disappointed that such a hotel did not provide coffee/tea making facilities. This is the first time I have ever come across with such important provision lacking in a 4* hotel. Requested for a double bed for us as couple instead was given two single bed.

The place itself is adequate, clean enough and serves a nice continental breakfast each morning (coffee, tea, fruit juice, cereal, ham, cheese, tomatoes, bread, butter and jam). The saff are really nice and accomodating. We stayed in 3 bed room with private bathroom, the beds were comfortable and had extra blankets if needed. The roof top area is nice and spacious. For value and location this pension is good value. Great that you don't need to check out until 12.00!!
