I don’t use the bathroom in the room throughout my stay there due to the smell. I used the onsen bath instead which is on the third floor.

Pros: The hotel is roughly 10 minutes away from Sendai Station. Away from the busy area so was very quiet at night, but also close enough to tons of restaurants and the Sendai morning market. Across the street was FamilyMart - loved it! The room was small for twin beds but it had all the amenities like a resort hotel. The bathroom had everything you need, including a Panasonic ionic hairdryer. We were very amazed by the attention to detail. Pros: The hotel is roughly 10 minutes away from Sendai Station. Away from the busy area so was very quiet at night, but also close enough to tons of restaurants and the Sendai morning market. Across the street was FamilyMart - loved it! The room was small for twin beds but it had all the amenities like a resort hotel. The bathroom had everything you need, including a Panasonic ionic hairdryer. We were very amazed by the attention to detail. Cons: From the 2nd night on we started getting tiny little flies in the room and on our towels. Probably from the humidity even though we had the vent on. Not much we could do but the hotel could do some pest control after our stay.

Cons: Upon check-in the staff was rude and unwelcoming. Coffee House seemed to hang their hat on the breakfast buffet being an 'out of this world' experience and it was fine, but nothing special. The tables were way too small for my family of four, which is a real issue for a restaurant offering a buffet. I had to pay for parking, which came as a surprise when I checked out. The hotel was a bit expensive, but Japanese hotels often are considering they charge for the number of people and not only the room itself. No way a 3-star hotel should cost $330/night for the size of room we had.

Cons: I had booked my room 5 months in advance with a company credit card. I selected an option to pay in advance so I wouldn't have to put the hotel on my personal card. I emailed the property at the time to make sure this would not be a problem, but it was. The company account was never charged and I had to pay in full on check-in, because the hotel cannot talk to booking.com. Other business travellers should be aware of this. I also found the rooms smelled slightly odd and the noise of the elevator could be heard from the room.

Cons: As a crowded season due to Jazz Festival, price was extremely high. so I can't give a good evaluation about that. I felt some of facilities were aged. The breakfast doesn't have so much variety, but was good. The bathroom was not good because the shower water comes out from bathtub due to its design. we needed to be careful to prevent water leak to the toilet.

Received many excuses mainly that the hotel was very full. They offered to move me to the 2nd floor where it did work but it was a double not a twin. We had a single room as well which could have been changed but they weren't prepared to do that. The single room air-conditioning did not work, which they were aware of. No English instructions for it and the unit was loose on the wall.

Cons: I arrived early and the on-duty staff was not so friendly nor welcoming. On my first night, I had experienced severe itchiness. But since I have calamine ointment with me, I reported it the next day. Tha manager said, they changed the beddings. They don't clean your room every day, they will charge you extra for room vacuuming. on the second day, my complimentary and breakfast stubs were forgotten. On the third day, they should have vacuumed my room but ssems not vacuumed at all. on the last night, my towels seemed not replaced. This is the worst experience I had for a Japanese hotel stay.

I thought it was great value as well. The bed was spacious (queen size), there was a good-sized desk, a TV, and a mini fridge. Pros: Excellent location. I had work in Tohoku University Hospital. This hotel is 5-10 minutes walk to the hospital. Close to subway stations, and walking distance to Kokubuncho entertainment and dining area and Ichibancho shopping area. Walking to Sendai station would take 20-25minutes through the Ichibancho area. Walking distance to Sendai castle, Sendai Muzeum, Mediatheque and International centre.

Pros: I thought the location was great. It was super close to Jozenji Dori, which is a beautiful street lined with trees and lots of shopping, restaurants, etc. It's a 10-minute walk from the nearest train station so it might be annoying to get there initially with your suitcases, but there are lots of interesting things to see pretty close-by after that. I thought it was great value as well. The bed was spacious (queen size), there was a good-sized desk, a TV, and a mini fridge. It wasn't super fancy or anything, but had everything we needed and it was clean.
Cons: I wish they had a parking lot, because we rented a car and had to use pay parking down the street, which was an additional cost. The room didn't have a lot of floor space for our big luggage either.

Cons: The doors are made of metal so they make a lot of noise when being opened/closed/knocked. This may disturb light sleepers or you may mistakenly think someone is knocking your door when its actually next door.

Cons: When entering the hotel, there are stairs before you reach the lobby. It's something to remember, especially for people with heavy luggage. The ceiling above the entrance of the room was low, but it does go higher above the beds. Lastly, the bathroom was really small.
