The staff were all great. Easily was able to get directions to various sites, book restaurants and order taxis.location is a plus! The rooms above floor 2 are old and are what are seen in pictures. The beds are worn and rooms dated. AC barely works. We moved to another room, same issue. Then we were thinking of leaving and we were offered a room on the mezzanine level as they have been completely remodeled complete with new AC. Wow, it was like we were in a different hotel! Fresh and modern, great bedding and bath area. Stay in only the remodeld area only and you be very, very happy.
location is wonderful, right in the city center very noisy on Sunday night with disco pub downstairs till midnight, room is very small and narrow, too expensive with such poor facility
The hotel is really near everything ( coliseum, testevere, vatican (25 min walking), piazza novona ( 25 min walking ). Great staff and really polite. The bathroom is a like smaller, but it works
Brilliant location - within walking distance of all the landmarks except the Vatican. Given an upgrade on check-in but the room was a huge disappointment. 2 single beds on mezzanine floor, a double sofa bed downstairs with a hard frame, one bedside table and no bedside lights. But happily Reception did move us next morning.
Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet, clean room with safe and hairdryer. Within walking distance to historical sites, city bus stop, ATM machines, tour bus stops, restaurants, convenience stores, and book store where we exchanged currency. They had no ability to exchange currency and no ticket service for tours.
Near to Coliseum and center.
Both the maître d'hôtel and the bar manager were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great views of part of the Forum from the roof terrace. There is also a terrace on the 2nd floor which was always completely empty on my visit; great for some peace and quiet after the tourist packed streets. The location is fantastic if you want both the Colosseum and Forum on your door step. The bed in my room probably needed the mattress changing, it felt like it dipped in the middle. The restaurant is open to the public so can get busy, while i was there there was a wedding reception one evening which, as a solo traveller especially, would have meant a rather awkward dining experience. The room I occupied backed onto the back street where there is an Irish bar, this was quite loud in the evenings, but with the windows shut, not loud enough to prevent sleep.
The location is nice. I use to travel extensively for work, and I can tell you it is the worst value for money hotel I have ever stayed in. The room had the tiniest bed I ever saw and the TV screen very small. It could be cleaner. It had a very modest breakfast with little choices. The receptionist was really rude.
This hotel has a warm, personal feel with an excellent location just blocks from the Colosseum. The staff was incredible, the free breakfast was delicious and the accommodations were pristine. The staff gave us recommendations of the best places to visit and let us access the beautiful rooftop garden. It felt like a little bit of a home away from home and a haven from the tourist craziness of Rome. The only downside of the hotel is that the elevators and showers are small. My husband is a lean 6 feet and was cramped in the shower.
nothing The room was small, there was mold on the wall in the bathroom, the bathroom facilities were very cramped, shower almost unusable, stains on the wall paper that was also pealing off due to age, bedding not clean, the breakfast was not even worth the fact that it was included in the price, the internet conection was ok and the only thing that made it worth paying for was to find another hotel...
The personal level of services was outstanding. I felt as if I was staying with family. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone. Lack of wifi in the rooms but a cable was provided upon request
Good location, basic accomodation, well maintained and clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dreadful wifi connection.
Excellent location of hotel - in the center of Ancient Rome. The design of hotel inside too was very interesting. The hotel staff was very kind and attentive. The room was pure and clean. In many respects thanks to it my stay in Rome was very fine and surprising.
Location is great. Very close to Coloseum and Forum. Room was quite small. Bathroom needs renovation. Beds were really uncomfortable.
Everything was great would stay again Only negative was the beds were really hard
Good location, walking distance to all the major attractions, we even walked all the way to the Vatican however I was sooo tired afterward. Excellent service from staff, good restaurant recommendations and friently overall. Good rooms, a little on the small side but sufficient. Nice modern bathrooms. Breakfast was a dissapointment, not much variety and nothing hot or warm served. We were given a room on the ground floor and apparently next to the kitchen or prep area and were awoken early every morning by the clatter of dishes.
This was by far the best hotel I stayed in out of 7 cities. It was central, clean, air-conditioned, and the front staff was so helpful. The morning breakfast was also lovely.
Location!!!:) backpacker's style
