Pros:Location in terminal.
Cons:Horrific experience with Hertz in Rome Fiumicino. Rented a car that had a tire blown as soon as I started driving it. Called the Hertz location in Fiumicino and no answer. Called multiple times, but no answer. Had to call the US number only to get transferred to Road Side assistance for Canada? Ended up changing the tire myself then drove to my hotel. Kept calling Hertz in Rome (total of 8 times that day) but no answer. Tried calling Naples (no answer), Milano (no answer) and Salerno (answered but told me I wasn't covered because Hertz had franchised their business in Italy?). Suggested I pay for the flat myself and be on my way. In order to salvage my trip, I did just that. Only to find that the tire had prior damage in two places and it was unlikely that it could withstand another "patch" job. Nevertheless, I paid the fee for just that and tried to get ahold of Rome Hertz another 14 times over 4 days. No answer! The car sat parked because the newly patched tire went flat again! Seriously, I can't make this stuff up. Called the US again without help as they simply said I needed to deal directly with Rome Hertz only. I used Twitter to get a road side assistance number for Italy and the towed the car finally, while I had 5 days left on my rental. They refused to take me to Hertz to get a replacement saying I needed to pay a taxi for that (I was 60 miles away from the nearest location). I simply told them to keep the car and I would deal with it upon my return to Rome via another means. When I got to Rome, they had the nerve to charge me for a one way drop off charge in addition to my full contracted rate. NEVER AGAIN WILL I RENT FROM HERTZ/DOLLAR/THRIFY.
Pros:Easy pickup and drop off next to airport. Convenient key drop.
Pros:We liked the car and the turn in process.
Cons:The line to pick up our car in Rome was very long
Cons:Very difficult to find the drop off even with Navigation. Employee was not very attentive or helpful.
Pros:Car was new and clean. Good people .next time I will go and rental a car there excelente.10
Cons:The they close the rental office they should be open 24/7 or maybe they are open 24/7 but this was my first time in Europe.
Pros:Fantastic car. Comfortable and drove well. New too.
Cons:Having to wait 2 hours in Rome to check-in with our reservation. A line ordering system that did not make any sense (draw a number for two other companies but not Dollar). Then, stand around because there was only standing room only. Really not efficient.

Pros:Paulette was really helpful when we picked up. The drop off was not as easy in Milan, because it wasn’t clear where to go, so we went into the store to ask but there was only one person working and a lot of people waiting. I waited 30 minutes to talk to someone and was told that I just needed to drive up to the 5th floor of garage to return.
Cons:they told us they didnt have cars even though the reservation was confirmed
Pros:The process of finding where to go was pretty straight forward. In a big city they did well with directing you to the right direction.
Cons:I received my rental car and drove it within minutes of driving out the parking lot was pulled over for missing my front license plate. I went back to hertz and they claimed I had lost it and would just have to deal with it for the rest of the week. The customer service was horrific. DO NOT USE!
Pros:They messed up the pickup and drop off and now we have no where to leave the car. Total failure
Cons:They were not prepared when we picked up the car and despite arranging an after hours drop off before traveling and again in Rome when picking up the car we discovered there was no place to leave it in Sanremo. So, we had to cancel plans to travel to France yesterday and stay in Sanremo, now Hertz is closed and we still have nowhere to leave the car!
Cons:I rented the car for less than 24 hours, picked it up at Firenze, dropped it off at Rome. It was advertised that the price would be 49 euros. That is what I paid when I picked it up. The lady that provided the rental agreement at the counter asked me if I wanted to fill up the gas before dropping it off in Rome or if they can do it for me for a ridiculous amount of money, like 3 times the amount it costs to fill up the gas.I said I would fill it up. She laughed and said OK. I didn't understand what that meant but didn't think much of it. She knew the are in Rome because she explained to me how hard it was to get there, to find the little garage door in between the skinny streets of Rome. When I was ready to drop it off, It took me around 2 hours to find the ONLY gas pump in the whole area and it was broken. THEN, I understand why that lady laughed at my thought of attempting to find a gas station around the area. WHY DIDN'T SHE SAY SOMETHING AND JUST LAUGHED? It was just after midnight, around 12:25 and I had to drop the car off at midnight. There was nobody at the drop off location ( so nobody waiting for the car). At the end my bill was for 134 euros! SO like $180 for less than a day! And today, 4 months later, they attempted to charge my credit card again for an extra $35, for no reason. Stay away from Hertz! You have been warned. oh! And customer service ignored my request to go over charges. They didn't even send me an updated bill until I requested it. Never again Hertz.
