the airconditioning didn't work and we were not informed about this when we arrived at the hotel. As it was july and very hot the entire stay at the hotel was very uncomfortable. Wasn't worth the money.
Very clean, polite staff, good breakfast buffet. Very close to the metro stop, taxi piazza, and train station.
Breakfasts, although the same everyday, were good. Good strong coffee. Very relaxing courtyard. Rooms with courtyard view were a liitle noisy due to 2 weddings, during our stay. Didn't have dinner during our 5 night stay. A little pricey.
The hotel is beautiful, with a very impressive interior, its very clean with a gorgeous enclosed garden. Highly recommended.
I loved the room and grandness of the hotel itself also very centrally located within walking distance to most of the attractions. Friendly staff as well. /
The location was excellent. The rooms were clean and spacious. The people at the reception desk were always helpful. The (included) breakfast was completely amazing. We especially loved going to the garden room restaurant to have a beer in the late afternoon to cool off and rest a bit (they also brought a bowl of peanuts, a bowl of potato chips, and once, a bowl of mixed snacks to go with). One night we were too tired to find a local restaurant so we ate in their restaurant. The food was good, but pricier and not as marvelous as the local restaurants off site. But that's in comparison to the fabulous food all over Italy, so its a really high bar.
Very spacious rooms and a lovely garden you can see while you have a complete breakfast. Good location with many options of public transportation and restaurants.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the staff friendly enough. Considering the value of the rooms, I thought the price of drinks in the hotel bar were a little expensive. Also, we stayed in a "business double room", and our friends stayed in a "standard double room". Their's was the larger of the rooms.
Great Location - only 15min walk from Trevi Fountain / Colosseum. Rooms are quaint and spacious. The garden area is very relaxing. Early check - in was not facilitated
the size of the room he breakfastwas not the typcial italian style .Not enough selections and no toaster for bread. rate the breakfast poor.
Very convenient location. Very rude staff, room had multiple problems, broken toilet seat, TV not working, window not closing etc, They repaired all but would not stay there again.
Ease of booking, location of hotel n/a
Location Antiquated lift
Convenient location, friendly english speaking staff
We weren't happy with the first room that they gave us. But as we request to change our room. They gave us a better room without kept us waiting. The first room that they reserve for us was one of the worst rooms of the hotel. In addition to that, wake up call and car service to the airport was terrible. We made a reservation one day before and recomfirmed our reservation twice. however, there were neither a wake up call nor a car waiting for us. If we hadn't fixed our alarm clock, we would have missed the plain.
Need some towel rails in the bathroom - there was nowhere to hang wet towels.
rebuilding around hotel
Clean, friendly staff Noisy. Pick up of linen racks at 6 am in the morning under our window made an awful noice on cobblestone!
Location, friendly staff and coffee during breakfast Breakfast choice
We did not like anything the hotel was not as advertised and when we complained they said they would call the police and we would not be able to leave the country - so how do you thin we felt. The first room was dingy the second the bath leaked and they said ther was nothing wrong with it so we spent the time wading through water in the bath room the lifts didnt work do I need to go on!!!!!
It is really close to the sightseeing points nothing
close to everything nothing
The view was terrible we were placed in the back of the hotel where the fire escape was, they did change the room to the top floor with no view! This was our 1st wedding anniversary my husband did explain but they did not really care, they also have no iron so we had creased cloths and they said that it is Itailian law no hotels have iron's we went into a couple of hotels and they do allow iron's!
Location is near to Train Station and near to Rome Historical places. Separate place in the room for couch and desk .. Old fashion room Style , Breakfast could be better
Very friendly staff, surprisingly great breakfast opportunities! Great location, especially for catching the train! Loved our stay!
convenient to Termini train station, almost all buses and both metro lines pass through it, so even during midnight you can find a bus back poor breakfast,no fresh bread
Bedroom and ensuite were very large and very new so everything looked fresh. The bathroom had double basins and a large bath. Location was excellent and very close to the train station. The bathroom had only had a hand-held shower in the bath so it was difficult to shower properly. Some aspects of the breakfast were very poor - more youth hostel than 4 star hotel. The breakfast room was so cramped that you could not move between the tables to get to the buffet without asking people to move. I was seated at a dirty table, and even when the last guest's dirty plates were removed the table cloth was still covered in spills and crumbs. The fruitjuices were artificial and undrinkable.
Excellent location, very clean room, reasonably spacious, great shower. Breakfast could have been better....
I liked the cleanliness and the kind staff ... I didn't like the hidden charges at the end for $6 per day per occupant. Maybe I missed it in the opening contract but I think when I pay in advance everything in the beginning Payment
Large room and bathroom. Very quiet even although room was facing the road. Very close to Terminii. Decor excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Lovely hotel - would stay there again. Shower head was connected to the wall about a foot above the bath. Breakfast ok.
Nothing like it! Bad manner stuff!!! I use my cell phone roaming to use 3g for search place! Why? Cuz they said their Internet was broken! For 3 days! I totally do not trust them, I asked other guest, they told me they can use wifi! So, the stuffs lied to me!警告大家，千万别住这里！前台那些人素质超差！
We were upgraded to a better room, no reason as to why, presumably our original booking they could not fulfil. The upgraded room was lovely though. The barman on the roof top bar was useless. They were supposed to be open until midnight but quite often he shut up at 11.30 and didn't like it if anyone asked for another drink.
its location at the centre of Rome is perfect both for sightseeing and for shopping.
The location and their food(breakfast). Also their staff are wonderful and friendly. the beautifl ladies at the breakfast room are wonderful. they are always smiling, helpful, and service delicious home made sweets non loved the stay and the hotel
Balcony with drinks & snacks at the top was great Sewer gas smell in bathroom- please check the traps/ sewer ventilation!
Location and hotel staff. Everything was great.
The hotel is well situated for seeing the sites of Rome and with most circular hop on/off bus routes passing close by, the opportunity of easily going further than neighbouring attractions such as the Spanish Steps and Trevi. The staff were friendly and helpful and arranged alternative taxi to airport when Margana Travel (booked through Viajes Almeda) didn't turn up. The room, at the rear of the hotel, was comfortable and picked up no street noise. With temperatures about 30C, the airconditioning was very welcome. The cold buffet breakfast was the same every day but was enjoyable and more than adequate to set you up until you got to your next pit stop. The coffee was exceptionally good. The roof terrace bar was good for a relaxing drink. Not a major problem but the shower regulator was a little awkward and had obviously undergone maintenance recently. Bathroom was small but not the smallest we've had in Italy.
free Internet, pleasant lounge on first floor with rest room Spanish Steps a bad location except for luxury shopping--not near historic attractions or affordable shopping
Beautiful old building at a great location small shower with a shower curtain that would constantly stick on you. Wifi turned out to work only in the small lobby and was very shaky. First got a small noisy room although I asked for a quiet one; luckily could change it.
Perfect location for visiting and shopping Bathroom smell and noise from the street
it was clean and the location was good. the staff was not very nice.and my room was very small and the view was pretty bad.
Location. Cleanliness. Comfort. Small room. Aircon did not work.
The location was great as I had no problem walking to most sites I wanted to visit. I would have liked a clock in my room.
service, reception, internet, room. nothing, everything was at the highest level for the hotel 3 *
Close to allo public ransport. Quiet. Buffet breakfast ample. Cleaning stff did not clean/sweep room well.
Location, close to Termimi and both metro lines Strange room without window, very poor breakfast
Very central. Good directions, easy to find Asked for a double room rather than twin but allocated twin room on arrival. However the room we were allocated was spacious and extremley clean, very impressive.
The room was beautiful and clean, the staff friendly and helpful--all positive things to say about our stay. It was expensive for us, but for the quality of the room it was a very good value. No English speakers at the desk. I know we shouldn't expect it because, after all, when in Rome do as the Romans do, but it would have been helpful.
The view from the hotel room was nice ( 4th floor) The staff serving the breakfast could have a little knowledge of English.
good enough for short business trip central lokation but really nothing around. very late chek in- after 2p.m. It is a question how to plan the day if I could can get in at 2p.m. ?
Rooms were spacious and very clean, good location close to metro and termini station, good breakfast buffet, friendly and helpful staff
Good location .. close to transportation, tour agency close by, easy walk to tourist areas. Great breakfast buffet included with stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful. bathroom sink was cracked, stains around the tub faucet, tub was dull in appearance ... probably old and needs to be replaced.... internet connection weak or intermittent,
v.good location and comfortable room
Excellent location, friendly staff conversant in English, comfortable room, and an early breakfast which for tourists with a full day planned was good.
excellent location , very fast elevators ,
Excellent room (inlcuding facilities), location, and staff. No.
Perfect Location: very close to Railway station and hop on hop off buses. Yet quite close to all main attraction. Hotel staff is very helpful and polite and can recommend nice restaurants nearby. Rooms are extremely comfortable and clean. Highly recommended!!! it was a bit too warm in the room and we couldn't cool it down using AC. But opening windows has helped
location, excellent service from the staff, room comfort, excellent resturant
location is good.
Very clean and efficient staff The road noise - very poor window soundproofing on th street side. And ineffective airconditioning. Not overly serious problems or we would have metioned them to the hotel.
The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff we exceptionally friendly especially Antonio. Best hotel visit I have had in a while. Location was perfect as well.
Fabulouse breakfast and wonderful friendly staff, happy atmosphere
The room was great. We stayed one night only to get back home and fly out of Rome. We were 10 minutes from Ancient Rome and the colosseum. We discovered we were three blocks away from the church of the holy steps. If you are Catholic you must visit the church and climb the steps Jesus did on your knees. The steps were from pontiff pilot palace in Israel and brought from Israel by St Helen. The staff was great and breakfast was excellent.
Very good breakfast and very good location! Everything was perfect!
Nice size hotel - not too large. Handy transport links to metro for airport/getting around the city Lovely breakfast buffet - large spacious dinning room Helpful staff The shower - flooded the bathroom everytime I used it - which left a damp smell in the bathroom.
the hotel was near the metro station .so its very easy to travell in rome using the metro, it near the shopping streets . the staff was good .. the breakfast was very poor
it was clean and somewhere to stay price
There hospitality They all have service with smile
To be honest i have nothing good to say about the hotel. Its near the subway thats it really. The room was small and the bar was not opened when we got there on are first night. No internet in the room or the bar only in the hall. The shower was broken. I cant believe its a four start restuarant.
We loved the breakfast and the location is perfect. Close to metro and bus lines and walking distance from the coliseum. We used the pocket companion for google maps and browsing so it saved us on our data plan Rooms were small
the service in the hotel was excellent. rooms were dated
While the location is great, and the reception, bar and restaurant are beautifully decorated, the room itself looked a bit out of date and used. There were stains on ceilings. We also had a difficult time keeping a comfortable temperature (too hot) even though we were there in mid-November.
Friendly staff!!! Spacious room(too much for overnight stay), nice bathroom, good breakfast. Price a little steep for one night.
The setting and quality of staff, we enjoyed our stay and were upgraded although we did lose the balcony suite booked. Very convenient for our stay in Rome and we would book there again An initial lack of coathangers, only 4 provided but more were provided on request. Also a problem with heating/AC
The concierge staff is very helpful. We arrived at the hotel at noon, after almost 24 hours of travel. We were exhausted. The front desk staff reminded us that check-in was at 2 p.m., but proceeded to allow 11 other couples/families to register and go to their rooms before 2 p.m.. We sat in the lobby for 1 hour and 45 minutes. The front desk did not check with the cleaning staff until we had been sitting there for an hour and a half, and I went to the desk a second time. Not a great way to start a vacation.
Friendly welcoming staff Nothing
Nothing only the location the room was old and noisy its not a five star hotel i wont give it 3 stars
I liked that the hotel offered us a better room after initially trying to put us in a not renovated room that would have made me leave it at once were it the only choice. I liked that the hotel immediately brought us better pillows after we asked for the hard foam ones in our room to be replaced. I liked the breakfast and the friendly staff
Excellent Proximity to main attractions in Rome, friendly Hotel staff, Nice Street, nice rooms,
Excellent location. Well established hotel. Great value, Would definitely use again.
Everything was great, from the room, to the staff, to the location. Nothing.
Staff was helpful and courteous. Excellent location Room was dated and somewhat shabby.
Location. The room was extraordinarily dark, and I'm typically a fan of less lighting. It was also much smaller than advertised online; staff said they had included the bathroom size in their calculations. Staff were not unprofessional, but less than friendly and welcoming. This became even more apparent when we changed to a neighboring hotel where staff were superb.
A great place To stay in Rome. Breakfast was regular.
Great location, decent breakfast, nice bar, and great staff... Horrible mattress........
Staff was friendly and helpful throughout the hotel and restaurant. There was a strong oder of disinfectant throughout the hotel. You could feel the springs in the mattress.
Interior design (of rooms) & convinient location for shopping. We were a bit underwhelmed by the breakfast.
Friendly staff, good space utilizatoin and modern style There is no WIFI Internet service in the rooms. The rooms needs better ventilation. Although they are clean, they can easily catch any smell.
From front desk to breakfast and bar staff, everyone was very welcoming, friendly and very patient with our limited Italian! Large room with balcony was great - very comfortable but not fussy. Great paintings everywhere!
Loved the rooms, the size, and the shower! So many rooms have terrible showers or shower pressure, this hotel was great in that regard
Good but overpriced hotel (as most in rome). Good location (near vatican and piazza del popolo) Small room for a 4 star hotel. Average berakfast.
The atmosphere was great , trendy hallways and cool rooms. Room was too hot
Location The room had a persistent mold/mildew smell that we could not get away from. The bathroom door would not stay open and was very heavy. Staff was made aware and they said they were booked for the night, but we could switch in the morning. We never heard back.
The hotel staff were very friendly. The showers in the bathroom were a little small.
The staff members at the hotel desk were very helpful. Breakfast was better than I would have thought given some bad reviews at booking.com. The Colosseum is really closeby.
Great location and spacious, clean room. Free breakfast was a nice value too. No air conditioning in October so room was unpleasantly warm, especially during the day. Staff was not interested in helping us for the most part.
Room was great! Cocktails were great! Staff friendly and helpful! Breakfast provided was great! The restaurant had beautiful food (Try the Gnocchi) !
We had a big problem with very noisy people in the room next door - still partying at 4am. We didn't get much sleep.
Just a perfect place to stay, gonna come back if ever go to Roma! Super helpful staff! Perfect location! 100 m. from the Covour Metro Station Exit! The TV's in the room are kind of out of date looking (Not flat screen)
The hotel location is super, 5 minutes walking from the Colosseum. Metro is 2 minutes as well.Hotel personal and breakfast service is quite good. The hotel rooms are bit old and all the furniture and other eqipments are quite used. The safe in the room is too small for a laptop. There is only one big cover on the double bed.
It's near most of the touristic places in Rome, you can easily walk to the Colleseum and ancient rome; A metro station is 2min far from the Hotel, a day in the vatican is easily done; and you can take the bus and arrive to the famous shopping street Via del Corso in Rome; in addition, a big buffet for the breakfast is served every day, very clean, very tasty, many choices.. the service of the Hotel is very good; the people working there are very helpfull and talk english; they help you and explain to you about the city and the places you can go to, especially if you are going without a guide or a tour; special tours are made every day from the hotel for the persons that would like to join any tour. At night, lots of noises from outside, where there is a street at one side of the Hotel, many people walk, dine, drink, etc... too much noise, but we used to it later, and it stops at 1h am, so not really a problem;
room was comfortable, big and relaxed breakfast was not good enough.
fresh and softer bread / breadrolls for breakfast would be a bonus for a **** hotel
Location/ Room was what I expected for Rome. We have to remember that 4 start hotels in Rome is similar to 2 star hotel in the US not sure of any problems
Pleasant & helpful staff. Realxed atmosphere. Good location for sightseeing. Breakfast well presented & plentiful.
I believe the ratio quality/price is out of range. The hotel should not be rated as 4 stars. Rooms are not up to standards and facilities are poor.
nothing many things
Location is good all room facilities was old. Awful service, unhelpful and somethimes rude. The room was very smal and uncorfotable. There is no air conditioner. Our windows look on yard. And every morning we woke because of someone`s talking loudly in the yard. We cant even see the sky, because of tightness of the yard. Absolutely awful breakfast. noone from the staff pay attention to you. The salad was spoiled, pineapples turn sour. I will never stop in this hotel. it may have 2 star, not 4!
very central to rome attractions clean comfortable no bar or resturant
Excellent, modern and clean room, with a large bathroom Check-in and front counter staff were frequently distracted (on the phone, etc) and at times not particularly helpful
The location was good and the hotel was convenient for sightseeing in Rome as it was only a 15 minute walk from the coloseum and Trevi fountain. We chose an economy room which I wouldn't recommend as the beds are far too small for two people.
location was great!!! in the middle of via nationale, great shopping area, very close to the metro ( 5 mins walk). WIFI connection and for those who don't have laptops, there is a business room in the lobby. The hotel is infront of a great cafe that also has reasonable prices. No breakfest included... hotel staff should have more knowledge of places to go and recommend more specific places.
location was a plus factor, surrounded by many cafes/restaurants, metro and bus station close by, although all major sites within walking distance the superior room i booked looked contemporary with nice furnishings, however on arrival we were allocated something completely different, when i complained i was informed there was more than one type of superior room, it was only when i refused to move from reception that the room i thought i had booked was allocated to us so beware you may end up at the front of the hotel overlooking a very busy/loud main road. Stated television with internarional channels, only one english one - BBC World News ! No tea/coffee making facilities in the room - unacceptable for the price we paid.
Liked the location, the room, facilities, breakfast The air conditioning wasnt working properly.
Excellent position, 10 min walk to Piazza Venezzia, 25 min walk to Trevi Fountain. Good area, beautiful architectural buildings There is room to improve the staff at the reception, and the staff at the restaurant.
The ease of walking out the hotel and being able to reach each famous landmark/ site with in half an hour at the most (Bar the Vatican) was I thought very convient. The contental breakfast wasn't very nice sorry to say... the pasteries were to die for on the other hand though.
The access to the sites in Rome. The quality of the superior room.
clean, modern, spacious rooms very good value for money 3minutes walk from underground and termini station
Fantastic location. Modern, clean rooms. Good breakfast, and very friendly staff. The rooms are kind of small.
Staff was quite frustrating. Overpriced.
Great staff! Location not the best, but it is only about a 3 minute walk to the metro station and there are still a few restaurants within a few blocks.
Room was very comfortable and well designed. Location was great. 2 min. to Termini(main train station and metro) just ı didnt like breakfast even no olive.
Excellent hotel, very well located next to central train station. Breakfast was great. Staff were great. Highly recommend. Roof above shower was moldy, didn't affect our stay, just our perception.
All staff were very friendly and helpful, epecially the reception staff T.he choice of english speaking TV channels was restricted to news channels. Woulkd have preferred access to drama/documentary channels too
Modern, clean, and convenient to train station, shopping, and restaurants. Price of room with twin beds pushed together was $266 for one night. Price did not include WiFi. Desk clerk tried to get us to upgrade room for an extra $70 to get a double bed, free WiFi, and a small balcony. For $266/night, I would think they could throw in WiFi. Also asked desk clerk to make change for a 50 Euro. I was told they didn't make change and I should go to a small store across the street. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone as there are many other hotels in the same area that provide more value for the money.
Good breakfast variety, Very helpful and pleasant staff, fantastic location if you are travelling around Italy
Our stay at the hotel Roma was very pleasent and we would have no hesitation recomending it to our friends The bar area was not very appealing, Could use a bit of jazzing up, Having some local draft beers on display would help.
The rooms on the sixth floor are very quiet, especially considering the hotel's proximity to Termini Station. The bed was extremely comfortable. We booked two superior rooms but one was much larger and better equipped than the other although I was assured at reception that they were both the same quality. At 211 Euros per person per night (including breakfast), I think the superior rooms are rather overpriced.
location near train station
Expected more for the value... Air condition didn't work, no hairdryer in the room
Location and the art deco of the dinning room The room; too small and smelling terrible bad. The "mini elevator", the "mini halls"...The external appearance of the hotel is magnificent but inside it is quite reduced
the location poor quality for a 4 star hotel
location no wi fi, internet connection, absence of power outlets in the room, overall business use made it impossible
Hotel was centrally located. Staff was very courteous and helpful.
Beatifull, recently renewed, location, modern. Booking description very accurate. Very poor concierge services when it comes to restaurant recommendations and reservations.
The room and decor, and location. Disappointed the bar area was always unstaffed. It seemed the hotel didn't want us to use it. They had a lovely breakfast area that was empty but sent us down to the basement, so we went out for breakfast. Made no sense??
The location of the hotel is fabulous! I could walk to the Borgese Gardens, the Trevi Fountain, The Spanish Steps and the Colloseum! The shopping in the area was fantastic! I only eat fruit in the morning and I found the fruit salad skimpy, composed mainly of apples and swimming in a sea of orange juice from concentrate. Surely a 5 star hotel should have a wonderful fresh fruit salad, with melon, kiwi, pineapple and berries.
A lovely, elegant hotel located in a prime location! Excellent and very attentive service. Hotel staff made me feel very welcome and was extremely helpful in providing information about restaurants and things to see. I requested an early check-in and the hotel was able to acccomodate me. I would definitely stay there again. It was a little tricky trying to adjust the water temperature in the shower.
Friendly staff and good location Room service, mini-bar, etc were very expensive
We had some difficulties with our booking due to unclear communication with bookings.com but the hotel staff, in particular Claudio was fantastic and sorted it out for us very pleasantly and efficiently. He was also excellent with recommendations for sightseeing tours, restaurants etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this fantastic hotel.Kind regards,Susan and Max.
Excellent service from all sectors ! Rooms are cleaned twice a day !
everything was excellent, but the breakfast was poor
Locations is great, hospitality was great, hotel atmosphere is excellent. Mix between classic and trendy. Breakfast.
best location that can be for family, center, but quiet. stayed with the kid and the room was upgraded to Delux triple for free. Very good terrace to have brcfst or lunch.
location near good restaurants and comfort no
Excellent central location just off Piazza Navona. Nice rooms, well decorated. Staff friendly. Bedroom was too hot at night - air conditioning had been turned off.
we stayed in the navona sutie and it was terrific. we celebrated my wife's birthday and they supplied us with cake, champagne, fruits and gifts. the shower was not great and could use instructions as it had many features.
Luxurious; great location and views from roof terrace Reception staff OK but not overly helpful, waiters / waitresses very helpful; expected food, drink etc. to be expensive but was actually exhorbitant
All staff were very kind The gym was not confortable, very cool and not any matress at the floor for exercices, not sauna ??
The staff were very efficient and pleasant. Very good location for siteseeing and shopping in the heart of Rome. Very good restaurant with quick efficient service.
Proximity to the sights
Very nice hotel that managed to avoid the many modernisation gags that have destroyed the atmosphere in so many formerly great hotels - without feeling dusty, at all. Yes, the corridors and the lift could do with a new coat of paint, but who cares. My room was spacious and lovely, with a private terrace overlooking the rooftops; perfect for having breakfast while catching the first rays of the sun. It's a small hotel. Take the Danieli in the sixties, cut it up and let a small piece of it overgrow with vines in the middle of Rome: voilà, the Raphael. Staff exceptionally nice and well-trained. Location unbeatable.
evry thing is excellent staff is excellent the hotel is away from metro you should use taxi but no broblem as the hotel is central the taxi will not cost a lot no room service after 11 pm
fantastic location, ambience and service
The location, Prati is a really nice part of Rome
Very nice new hotel They were so new that many things were not ready for guests. there was noo wastebasket in the room, the internet was not available, signs were not up for directions.
Great space, wonderful bathroom, mini kitchen, great breakfast!!
The room was large, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was nice and the breakfast was really good. Also the location near the Vatican and streets for shopping was great. Lacks character and charm if that is what you are looking for. We booked at the last minute and there were not many hotels available....so while not our favorite stay in Italy it certainly was the most comfortable.
Location and room were excellent Staff was unfriendly and arrogant
very basic hotel, in the end though you should expect to pay 40% more compared to elsewhere in European capitals. even london cheaper than Rome. Clean hotel, nothing special for 300 euros a night.locations is good if you're able to walk a bit staff were not too involved, even initally ignoring my reservation print out where it clearly said double room...the just gave me something else at check in. had to create a row to get my reserved room.
Nice, large and clean room /especially bathroom/, breakfast
I liked our staying in the NH Giustiniano due to the great location (very calm region near the Vatican), the helpful staff and the clean modern rooms. The breakfast was also good.
Large , comfortable room helpful staff excellent breakfast None
Location - close to St.Peters. Tourist sites easily reachable by nearby hop-on hop-off services. Good breakfast. We landed up on the weekend. Reception was rude. Never come across a situation where the person on the counter actually stops to watch TV while checking me in....Rest of the days i stayed i had no reason to complain.
Location Service and attitude. No internet working - wifi or hotel computers out of order
i like Mr.Luca very helpful person the terrasa was closed ..if i need ice for example i have to pay service 5 euros
Location Did not have Room booked had to pay 200 euros per nite extra for a room available. no heat, room cold .Bkft 1st day bad, got sick spent day in bed diarrhea. Great hotel at one time in need of repairs and renovation. No 5 Star. Restaurant filthy ,shower broke, electrical wires in open in room. Lived and visited Europe every year since 1961. Been to Rome 20 times worst experience.Have pic tires to compare to hotels website, big difference.Front desk not friendly or helpful
The staff was friendly and helpfull. The central location is superior. The old world charm and beauty of the public areas, marble, frescoes and stained glass harks back to what the lap of luxury was like at the turn of the century when this hotel was no doubt reserved for the top upper class of society. Because the hotel is over 100 years old she shows her age and has not been kept up to the standards of a Five Star Hotel. She is a bit run down and in the rooms it appears that the money needed to maintain the standerd to which it claims is lacking. The glamour of what may once have been the best hotel in Rome has long since past. She is a grand old lady who is in need of some tender loving care.
The hotel is very beautiful. looks like one of the attractions in rome. The room (regular) was very big, alot of space. The location of the hotel is perfect The breakfast was OK, not worth 25 Euro tho. The table by the bed had stuff glued on it and the lamp swich was sticky, but except of it the room's cleaning was fine.
Location was unbeatable. Staff was not very helpful. Room was comfortable but nothing fancy by any means. The pillows were hard as a rock and no Wi-Fi that I could access..
The amazing 19th century builting. It's a trip in the past. Amazing. Service.
Absolutely NOTHING to like or enjoy here at all. This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in more than 25 cities in my latest trip to Italy. When you consider this is somehow rated a 5 star star hotel (???) it is the worst value for money in the history of hotels. It is literally a 2 star hotel and a bad one - it's a hell hole and a huge tourist trap. They gave me a room with no AC and no hot water! I repeat, NO HOT WATER. On top of it all, even if I had gotten a proper room with hot water, hotel is old anyways and facilities extremely old and dirty, filthy rooms. Wifi does not work nor does 4g/3g signal. Internet access is only possible outside of the hotel. Breakfast is one of the worst I've seen in Italy (or anywhere). They did not deliver what a two star hotel would have. That's all late in the evening after a tiring trip for me and my girlfriend. After hours of discussion and no solution offered whatsoever, I was finally able to talk to the hotel manager. The manager is this French guy who barely speaks some broken English and couldn't care less. All he could say is that things didn't go as planned with maintenance and that it wasn't his fault. Out of the few things he mumbled, he may have offered a drink at the bar or something along those lines, to make up for NO HOT WATER, NO AC, NO WIFI, dirty room, lousy breakfast, and the worst service I've ever seen in a hotel or hostel or any type of housing establishment in the world. The discussion went on for 3 days and no solution was offered at all. This is by far the worst experience I've had in Italy and the worst I've ever had in any hotel anywhere (I've traveled 50+ countries). The cherry on top was the itchy feeling in the end of my stay due to what could have been bed bugs. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place at all costs. Avoid yourself A LOT of stress and a living nightmare and stay as far away from this place as possible.
the view. excelent deco. no ice machine
Location, The luxury of the 19th century and a kind of new roman decadence... It's a political matter.....but nice ! rooms , poor of confort, decoration, bathroom, all thonks that imbeliveble for a 5star hotel..!!!! even a international plug for eletrical shave in te bathroom....
The rooms, designs and the hotel staff. no nothing
Wonderful staff with first rare service.
The staff was amazing. They all knew our names from the moment we checked in and made us feel very welcome and at home. The concierge provided excellent recommendations for food which was always spectacular and reasonably priced. The Palm Court bar is an Art Deco fantasy. Our BEST stay in Rome, and we have been many times. We will only stay at the Hassler in the future!
the location, the building, the decor, the luxury for a five star luxury hotel of this caliber the tv is very small and cold and it contains only one english channel and 15 italian channels !!!!! Also the breakfast lacks variety:
Our hotel room had a very strange, undesirable odor
Location was good Just felt it was over priced, not very good value.
The staff was efficent on check and check out. The spa staff was not attentive to be kind, first rescheduling a treatment and then being more than 30 minutes late on the new appointment time. They seemed unhappy and offered no regrets when we decided to cancel after waiting with no up date until we left. We had an interior room and fortunately it was too hot to think about sitting on the balcony over looking to courtyard because the dumpsters were in the courtyard and smelled when we stepped out there on arrival. This is a poor use of this space regardless and the Bauer can do better.
Loved the spacious comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms - a haven of tranquility after a busy day of sightseeing in Rome. The staff were so impersonal as to verge on being uninterested. Lack of central lobby was unatmospheric and the hotel's location is poor for sightseeing. They also haven't got their roof top terrace sorted out properly. Lovely idea having a pool but it's very cramped.
Service very slow. No view at all from room.
Rome was fabulous but hotel was a huge disappointment. Expensive for what it offered. Dinner for 2 was 250 euros and breakfast was 25 euros per person. Breakfast was disgusting with scrambled eggs that tasted like rubber. To iro a handkerchief was 9 euros - not that we did but this gives you an idea of what a rip off it was. Swimming pool is a small plunge pool and was out of service anyway.
high standards, beautiful rooms, location settings shower/ bath was low pressure and hard work. there was no view from our room.
Excellent service and location.
All people were excellent
The service was amazing from the bell boys to reception as well as the dining area. The hotel was in immaculate condition. I don't believe the photos on the internet did the hotel any justice.
