Located in Sallustiano, this hotel is within a 15-minute walk of Porta Pia and Teatro dell'Opera di Roma. Borghese Gallery and Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore are also within 1 mi (2 km).
Pros: The location to Termni station was nice.Cons: We were moved 3 times. The first night they were overbooked and put us in another hotel (which was better than Hotel Baltic). The second night we were put into a room without air conditioning and with one bed - we requested two. Never again.
The hotel looks like a bed & breakfast place. It operates in residential buildings (one apartment belongs to the 'hotel', the next is a private apartment, the third is a low office, etc.). Rooms are in different buildings. Public spaces practically do not exist. Staying there doesn't give a 'being at a hotel' feeling at all. A (rather) modest continental breakfast was included in the price. Tourist taxes had to be paid as extra to the paid Priceline price.Pros: Location and access to public transport.Cons: The room was really small for two people.
Overall great experience, I stayed in 6 different hotels during my time in Europe this summer and this was by far the nicest for the similar pricing. The location doesn't seem ideal but since it is within walking distance to Termini station it isn't bad at all for getting around the city.Pros: The cleanliness was superb with nice decor, great AC, nice shower pressure, yummy breakfast included, and best of all no outside noises combined with shutters that block out all light makes for very restful sleep on comfortable beds.Cons: It's a little confusing to get to your room as it is not in the same building as the lobby and there is no elevator (but that's to be expected in Rome).
