This hotel is in Manhattan’s West Village, across a highway from the Hudson River. Chelsea Piers and The High Line Park are within three-quarters of a mile.
Titanic chicPros: Literally feels like renting a bunk on the Titanic.Cons: Co-ed bathrooms, eek!
AdorablePros: Adorable little old-fashioned boutique hotel. We had a bunk bed room and it was still cozy. The showers were also great for being communal! Everything was perfect in our eyes.
Great hotel Pros: Cool history, clean rooms, good facilities. My only complaint is that my room was really hot. Luckily opening the window helped a lot
Unique, clean, bohemian Pros: Staff , the rooms, the amenities. Cons: The Wi-Fi was terrible
Kitsch & cutePros: Very charming, cute bunk rooms, very clean, nice staff, excellent service.Cons: Even though it was winter, the rooms were warm & the AC didn’t work well. The hotel bar is expensive, but it normal for NYC I suppose.
Jane very eclectic & good valuePros: Great in west village neighborhood close to everything & great shopping & restaurants!Cons: I brought my roller to help me walk around the city, stairs to get up from door and lobby sometimes inconvenient, staff always there to help but at times there should be a ramp or something like that I could get up to get around from street to lobby on my own.
Pros: Clean. Great staff. Great location. Cons: Nightmares. Jk. It was all good
Excellent for a solo travelerPros: Clean restrooms, deposit box, great location, near to a metro station, near to restaurants and a cvs pharmacy.
Probably one of the best deals in ManahttanPros: Rooms are very small, like ship cabins, but well-designed and solidly built. If you can adjust your expectations to the size (think "ship cabin"), it is quite enjoyable for short stays. Location is excellent (just 2 blocks from the Whitney, south end of the Highline Park, and meatpacking district. WiFi is reliable and solid.Cons: WiFi requires an annoying daily log in. Price is not cheap, but you'd be hard pressed to find a better deal in Manhattan.
I love the JanePros: I loved this hotel! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were cozy, and the bed was actually comfortable! The bathrooms, although shared, were clean and convenient. The location was perfect. Having my own individual AC unit to regulate the temp in my room was a definite bonus. I will be staying here again for sure!!
Curious, reasonably priced hotel in a great neighborhoodPros: This place is priced right. It's not quite high end, but it's a big step up from the average NJ motel. The single I stayed in was exactly as described. About the size of a walk in closet, I nevertheless slept in comfort and didn't mind the bathrooms down the hall which were clean. As a nice touch, they provide slippers for walking back and forth. Very friendly and helpful staff.Cons: The room was a bit musty. The whole place could use some airing out. But hey, it's historic!
Pros: Love the location beautiful old building and great areaCons: the room was a slight small
