If you’re traveling with your family, Marina Inn at Grande Dunes has to be one of my top picks. Located just outside Myrtle Beach in the Grand Dunes community, there’s a free shuttle that’ll get you into town or to the beach in no time (for the latter, beach chairs and umbrellas are free to use).
Inside, the rooms are decked out with Tommy Bahama flair and sleek 55-inch TVs. Step outside and you’ll find a mix of natural beauty and manicured landscaping in the grounds. Don’t miss the chance to visit the spa, where you can enjoy a rejuvenating deep tissue massage (tried and enjoyed by yours truly).
All the on-property restaurants are well worth a trip, especially Anchor Café (I still dream about the creamy coconut tomato bisque from my last visit). And if sports are your thing, the inn offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy tennis, swimming, golf, and even ping-pong.

Situated in the golf-centric Grande Dunes neighborhood, the Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa offers a luxurious and peaceful stay. Behind its tall exterior lies a tropical sanctuary – a stark contrast to the urban hustle of this beach town. The generously sized rooms are decorated in a palette of green and gold that blends with the environment.
Step outside, meanwhile, and you’ll be greeted by lush grounds, hammocks strategically placed for optimal oceanfront lounging, and Myrtle Beach’s only infinity edge pool. There’s a well-equipped fitness center for gym buffs, but it’s the Hibiscus Spa that steals the show.
I still remember how quickly my stress melted away after partaking in a Signature Massage there – a therapeutic blend with herbal hot packs, it’s not to be missed.

If you’re looking for a place where modern comforts meet nostalgic charm, Four Points by Sheraton Myrtle Beach is the place to come. With its prime location just five minutes from Myrtle Beach’s beautiful coastline, all of the city’s main attractions, including the Freestyle Music Park and the Grand Strand, are just a short walk away.
The cozy rooms feature plenty of special touches, such as curated gallery walls and comfy chairs for sinking into, and all the amenities you’d expect are on hand, from a Business Center and gym to an indoor/outdoor pool.
My favorite hotel perk has to be the 24/7 pantry, which can be raided by guests at all hours, perfect for a midnight feast or quick breakfast on-the-go.

Wake up to the sound of rolling waves at North Beach Resort & Villas, which sits on a 7.5-acre island between the Atlantic Ocean and White Point Squash North Beach Plantation. The striking building, which features twin towers connected at the top, is a coastal landmark in its own right and wouldn’t look out of place in Dubai or the Bahamas. Rooms in the towers come with sweeping ocean views and plush furnishings, but those looking for the quieter side of Myrtle Beach should opt for one of the charming beach cottages dotted along the tree-lined streets.
Families will love the array of water facilities on offer, from multiple swimming pools and a lazy river to a swim-up bar, while the Cinzia Spa is a great spot to relax and unwind.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort underwent an extensive renovation in 2023, completely revamping the property and transforming it into one of the finest hotels in Myrtle Beach.
The 255 meticulously redesigned suites prioritize comfort, with a sleekly neutral color palette and comfy king-sized beds, the best ones come with private balconies to make the most of those impressive views over the Atlantic Ocean.
For families, there’s the resort’s dual waterparks and fitness centers, while the grand pool, with its 350 lounge chairs, 10 daybeds and strategically placed fire pits, is the ultimate spot for some beachside relaxation. And when you’re feeling hungry, the Black Drum Brewing restaurant promises to deliver the freshest of seafood straight to your sunlounger.

For families, there are two pools, a dedicated children’s area, and whirlpools to splash around in, as well as a poolside bar and oceanfront restaurant – “feeling bored” is not an option here.
Rooms reflect the hotel’s prime oceanfront location, with a nautical blue and white color palette, while the on-site restaurant, Rendez-Views, is a great place to grab a cocktail as you watch the sun set over the Atlantic. And here’s a fun fact: while sibling property Ocean 22 was once the city’s tallest resort, now the Ocean Enclave rises to the top.

Located on the quiet northern side of Myrtle Beach, this oceanfront hideaway offers up an idyllic blend of serenity and accessibility. Rooms range from cozy nooks for solo travelers to expansive condos with first-class kitchens and private oceanfront balconies.
My favorite spot on the property has to be its lush green lawn right on the ocean, where you can pull up a sunlounger and watch the waves crash onto the beach. Kids will love the fact that there are three different pools to choose from, while sports fans should head to the hotel’s Golf Department to be set up with tee times on Myrtle Beach’s top golf courses.
While you’ll be well fed at the hotel’s Shoreline Café, those looking to explore the local area will find plenty of nearby dining gems on foot, like the Fire & Smoke steakhouse.

For those looking for all the comforts of home in a waterfront hotel, the Anderson Ocean Club and Spa by Oceana Resorts is the place for you. Each of the condos here comes with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry essentials, a flat-screen cable TV, and cozy furnishings that wouldn’t feel out of place in your own apartment.
My favorite feature are the expansive private balconies that offer uninterrupted views of the ocean below. Dive into one of the property’s pools or spend the afternoon drifting in a lazy river, before booking a treatment with one of the expert therapists at the Awakening Spa.
Its prime location, just a five-minute drive from central Myrtle Beach, means you’ve got top golf courses, first-class restaurants, and the buzz of Broadway right on your doorstep.

Hidden away inside a protected bird sanctuary four miles outside of town, Club Wyndham Grand Palms is a great spot for those looking for a more tranquil location in Myrtle Beach. There’s a wide range of different types of rooms to choose from, whether you’re a couple in the market for a spacious studio or a group of friends looking to book up one of the hotel’s vast two-bedroom suites, which can sleep up to 12 guests.
Larger suites come with full kitchens, dining areas, whirlpool tubs and private balconies, as well as a washer and dryer for ultimate convenience. Beyond the allure of nearby Surfside Beach (accessed via a complimentary shuttle service), the resort offers a range of activities, including live performances at The Asher Theatre and golfing sessions on a course designed by legendary golfers Greg Norman, Arnold Palmer, and Jack Nicklaus.

Located right in the heart of the action, the sprawling resort is a short walk from all of the area’s main attractions, with everything from picture-perfect golf courses to toe-tapping country music clubs right on the doorstep.
Expect grand suites rather than your average guest rooms here, with plush master bedrooms, fully equipped kitchens and private balconies. This is always a great place to come with my kids as hotel guests get free entry to nearby Wild Water & Wheels Water Park, while at the hotel itself there’s an indoor and outdoor pool, as well as a kids’ activity to keep little ones entertained.
