Pros: Wonderful, historic hotel in a great location! Staff is friendly and accommodating. We were upgraded to a spacious lake view room, which was a nice surprise as the view was fantastic. The bed was very comfortable, and the chocolates left with turn-down service were divine.
Cons: They advertise the breakfast buffet until 10:30, but came around at 5 minutes to 10 to let us know they would be closing the doors to the room with the food shortly. We had only been there a short time, and before my husband had a chance to get up, they closed the doors. They were nice enough to only charge half price, without us even saying anything.

Pros: The room was beautiful with a very good bed and perfect facilities in the bathroom. The bathtub was very good. The location is very good and we recommend a balcony room with beautiful view to the lake. The staff is very helpful and friendly.
Cons: There was no charging station at the bedside which is important for charging cell phones while listening to audio books for instance. Disappointing that there is no hot tub in the spa. The safe deposit box is on the floor and we are too old to kneel on the floor.

Cons: We had a three person room and the twin bed was an AIR MATTRESS! It was deflated when we got in the room and had to call the desk to get someone to fill it back up. Over the course of the night it deflated to the point it was like sleeping on a hammock.. the desk should have given a major discount for this clearly (or so I would hope) over booking of triple rooms.

Cons: The room was very small, much smaller than the pictures. The smallest we've ever stayed in Switzerland. The ceiling was low, you can touch it with your hand without tiptoeing. The room was decorated with a huge golden mirror in the attempt to make the room looked bigger, but it didn't. The "city view" in our room was mostly blocked by the building next to the hotel. The floor was uneven. Very disappointed.

Pros: When we arrived at Beau Sejour, we were greeted by the extremely friendly staff. Our room was not yet ready (we were early), so they let us leave our bags and they said they would bring our bags to the room when it was ready. Sure enough, when we arrived back at the hotel, our stuff was all in our room, the host even remembered us, so check in was a breeze! We were informed of our free transportation pass and were given several great recommendations of restaurants and things to do around town. The room was charming, extremely clean, while being very homey as well. The staff at Beau Sejour was always extremely friendly. The location of Beau Sejour was ideal, not too close to the center so that it was loud and touristy, but still close enough to walk (about 15-20 minutes walk from the main train station) and the closes bus stop was very nearby.

Cons: When we went to make a dinner reservation, the staff said that they were very happy to do it for us. Unfortunately the restaurant was not open that day, however, and we were not informed of this until we went to the restaurant and it was closed. When we called the front desk, they informed us that they had made us reservations at a different restaurant nearby, and the alternative restaurant did not disappoint.

Cons: Lack of signage made it hard to find reception coming from the funicular. And the lack of direction inside was just as bad. Dinner was over priced and pretentious.

Pros: The overall setting is phenomenal and really second to none. It has a great view, and the building itself is marvelous with an incredible view, and a real sense of 'history'. Bathroom is extremely nice, breakfast was great, bed was comfortable.
Cons: I had called reception twice to request something, and I was a bit surprised with the service I received. I requested a dental kit, and to be honest, I was a bit surprised at having to collect this in person. Similarly, I requested an ironing board to be sent to my room, and whilst I understand that for health & safety reasons, they could not provide this, the answer I received was very abrupt.

Pros: The Chateau is fabulous, everything was perfect from check in to check out. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The restaurant on site was very nice and the food was excellent. We had the breakfast in the morning and it was equally great. The location, views from our room, and setting was perfect for our anniversary celebration. I could not say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.

Cons: The sockets in this room were unable for my transfer charger. They were designed to fit the original EU appliances. I was quite angry at that point- compared to the good facilities in this room, it was ridiculous being unable to charge my phone. However the staff was really helpful. I called and explained the situation and she came with an applicable transfer charger at once- It was 11 pm!

Nice place to stay with family and of course for business travel too. Room was peaceful and had very good night sleep.
