The maintenance guy, when we were finally able to get the front desk to have him check out our room, was a fast worker and great to talk to. The bathroom was really nice, aside from the faucet not being screwed on (maintenance guy fixed it), shower gel container they provided was broken, and toilet looked about 20 years old. They gave us a bottle of wine since we were there for our honeymoon. It's really a motel, not a hotel. Room was not artsy, eclectic, or colorful like they advertise- it was brown, beige, and black with only 2 splashes of color in the whole room. Housekeeping sucked- didn't vacuum when there were obvious areas of food crumbs, left the garbage can on the toilet, didn't replace ice bag, didn't notify maintenance of problems with room (he specifically said they're supposed to do that). Internet was practically nonexistent and we were only allowed two devices. No HDMI hookups on the tvs. Front desk wasn't very helpful and didn't notify maintenance the first time we came to them with problems. Curtain was ripped so 6 inches of light poured in the room. People smoked outside our room so the smoke smell got in our room die to the 1 inch gaps around the door. They overpriced every service ($2 to wash laundry, $1.75 to dry laundry, $3 minimum to use their computer and $0.50 for each additional minute, $1-1.50 to print per page, etc.). No hot tub, just the pool, though the pool was nice.
The rooms were very big. Bathroom was great.
Rooms looked modern It was over priced. Def not a 3 star. Bugs in room. Bad area! No tv signal even worse was the Internet signal!!! I would and will not recommend Hotel Current! Place.
It was value for money and the staff were great! There were not enough facilities in the room
The hotel was nice, clean and the location was close to downtown long beach, staff was really friendly and helpful. Our stay was great, beds were really comfortable and our room came with a fridge and microwave. Would comeback to stay for next years Long Beach marathon. Only thing wrong was the walls are a bit thin you could hear door close from other rooms down the building. But other than that's no other problems.
Good money value - better than expected Cleanliness and nice furniture Lots of lighting in the room Breakfast only starts at 6:30AM Difficulties to excess wifi through multiple devices
Very clean, Roma very comfy. The bed is great, the bathroom very clean. The breakfast buffet is very good also, excluding the coffe, but everything else is great. Had a very nice time on my vacations. Some of the staff were not Very friendly. I walk through the lobby and you have to say good morning most of the times because the front desk person didn't. I know I'm not a celebrity but... Also the Chanels offered in the tv... Meh
The charming little wedding we witness at the gazebo from our balcony. 1. I had to reschedule my stay fr Fri 3/9 to Sat 3/10 due to a family emergency. I was told by "Alex" that I would be charged for Fri but it would be applied to Sat. When I arrived Sat, the front desk had no record of my reservation and charged me. I am awaiting confirmation fr my bank that I was double charged. Better communication skils are needed between your shifts. 2. Sun. (7am) we were awoken to the sounds of distant vacuuming and the shuffling of the chairs poolside. If we wanted to sleep in, it wasn't happening.
The check out time was 12PM. Awesome sauce!
The grounds were very attractive. The included breakfast was excellent as was the restaurant's view of the marina. The room was somewhat dated and showed a lot of wear. I hated the air conditioner. It was noisy and didn't work well. The bathroom was cramped.
We really enjoyed the cleanliness, the comfort of the beds, the facilities, breakfast, and location. The hotel is close to eateries, markets, the beach, a night club (right next to the hotel) and local attractions. One lady on the front desk was rude. Perhaps she was having a bad morning, or doesn't handle stress well. I was patiently waiting to ask where the breakfast cafe was, not indicating a hurry on my part at all, and she just couldn't stand it. Instead of putting the caller on hold, she grimaced at me and flicked her hand repeatedly in the direction of the cafe. I still had no idea where it was, so I just wandered around until I found it. We also had some extremely noisy neighbors that were carrying on until 3am. I called the front desk and they took care of it immediately. The other thing I will point out is that if you are not generally used to urban noise, this is not the place to stay. It's right ON Pacific Coast Highway. It is LOUD. It sits on a decent stretch of PCH, so people tend to open throttle on their motorcycles and fast cars.
Staff was great very helpful from directions to late checkout. Met all our requests. Beds were uncomfortable pillows small
Large hotel rooms, good breakfast Staff is not really friendly and helpful, also staff at dinner restaurant
I didn't like the fact I was billed up front for room stay,
The staff was friendly and professional. The room was very clean and included a wall-mounted flatscreen television with a user interface that was easy to use! Additionally, the entertainment "console" included HDMI and USB ports. Although I didn't use it, I paid an additional five dollars for Wi-Fi service. I was a little surprised, because in my experience Wi-Fi service is usually included in the price of the room. I was particularly impressed by the placement of the light switches throughout the room! They were convenient and practical and easily accessed from the bed. This feature distinguished Motel 6 from some of the better hotels I've patronized! Access to the hotel parking lot is restricted, serviced by a single driveway for entry and exit and can only be accessed from one side of the street – that is, there is no way to turn left into their parking lot. Consequently, if you're headed in the wrong direction, you must execute a U-turn or a combination of lefts and rights before you can enter the lot. This hotel is not located in what I would necessarily characterize as a bad neighborhood, but because of my frequent encounters with panhandlers, I wouldn't necessarily call it family-friendly.
