Situated in Las Vegas's Fremont Street - Downtown Las Vegas neighborhood, this hotel is close to Las Vegas City Hall, Las Vegas Premium Outlets, and World Market Center.
Pros: Affordable price...
Smokers, get out of here!Pros: Train going by behind the hotel several times throughout the niteCons: Requested non-smoking room which I verified again upon check in at front desk. The clerk even dblchked w/me on non-smoking preference. Got assigned a smoking room on the 15th floor which I didn't realize till the smoke came whiffing down the hallway couple of days later when new guests choked in on the floor. Housecleaning had to open the exit doors at both end of the hallway to get fresh air in and smoke out. Found the remainder of my week's stay irritating dealing w/the smell but had situated myself in the room already, thus, did not want to move rooms. Brought to front desk attention upon chk out and not even a apology. Her attitude was like "Oh Well"
Dirty hotel roomPros: Dust everywhere. Showed housekeeping management and his response was that the housekeeper for that room was doing her job. Really!!!!????!!!Cons: The dirty room. Woke up with red puffy face from all the dust in the room.
I would go back in a heartbeat!Pros: The hotel had a lot of character, friendly staff, good buffet and Video Poker Machines. I like how it's connected to the California for additional gambling options.Cons: Our room faced the freeway which was very loud. It's a few blocks away from Fremont street, which is okay during the day, but would not want to walk alone at night. Fortunately, I could cut through the California most of the way.
Good deal for the moneyPros: This is a great place for the money. It is old but, well maintained. Food is good and reasonably priced for Vegas. No resort fee, but they will try to up charge you for WiFi. Just say no. Cons: Did not have a sports book, but there are others close by.
MehPros: The check in lady was awesome, they were overbooked and was going to only give us smoking room and when I told her we couldn't cause my wife was pregnant she immediately shifted gears and made an exception for us. Very awesome. room/bathroom was okay.Cons: No continental breakfast. Channels on the TV sucked. Wifi was not free and worse super expensive.
Cons: no free wi-fi
Good hotelPros: The rooms were so clean and the service was good.
We came for edcPros: Close to highway 15, easy and available parking at any time come and go.Cons: It takes a very long time to validate parking everytime we return...
Constant waiting in lines and waiting on staff to overlook the ticket...
Took much longer then it should have twice a day.
All right.Pros: Location great. Price good. Service good. Rooms are avtad shabby but nice views if you get the right one.
Could not sleepCons: Very noizy.
Close to downtown but too close to train tracksPros: Close to downtown/Fremont Street
Decent price compared to other hotels in the area
Hotel was clean, but hasn't been updated for a whileCons: Very close from train tracks, trains woke me up several times at night night. The hotel (at least the rooms that face rail tracks), doesn't serve its primary purpose of providing quiet sleep conditions
Bathroom fixtures haven't been updated for a very long time, shower was difficult to adjust
