Staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel has a nice feel, very clean and quite. Good location as well Parking was 14Euros per night but didn't tell me until i paid the bill. I would have asked for a deal as i was staying for 5 nights.
V friendly staff and rooms comfortable and v clean. the restaurant seemed overpriced and did not cater much for kids to eat, only alternative was a cafeteria and smoking was permitted which made it unpleasant. Bathrooms are looking a bit dated and not in the greatest of shape.
Within walking distance of railway station. Free wifi in lobby. Not expensive. Long walk from the attractions of Granada
Courteous reception staff, clean room and comfortable bed. There is not anything I dislike about the hotel
The location is near to the centre There is no fitness, swimming pool
It was colocated with Hetz car rentals so we could return our hir car to the hotel rather than spend hours trying to find the drop off poiint - although i9t did take us 2 and a half hours to get to our hotel from when we arrived in Granada following the instructions on the booking.com website which were incorrect!!! Location was not central as advertised by the Hotel
Friendly and helpfull personal, Nice and quite rooms,
Good location within walking distance of most major attractions. The air conditioning in the rooms only works from May - sometime in the fall. So even though it was 30 degrees C outside in April, the rooms couldn't be cooled off without opening the windows. However the street noise makes it difficult to sleep with the windows open. Hotel mgmt said there was nothing they could do about this. We were told "it's winter....". I just find it strange that the lobby was air conditioned & cool, but the rooms couldn't be. Also if you're bringing a car please note the parking garage is a very tight fit.
Friendly staff, good facilities and very efficient. Excellent restaurant - try the ensalada tropicana. The underground garage is a nightmare - difficult to find, nowhere to stop, narrow chicane into the depths of the earth.
It was very easy to get to from the motorway and had (essential) car parking - though at a cost. It was some distance to The Alhambra but this was balanced by the quality of the hotel and the situation. It also had a very good cafeteria for drinks, breakfast and snacks.
Good value for money. Standard city hotel room - clean and functional. Location good for city visits - maybe a 10-15 minute walk to the centre. Taxis to the Alhambra are about EU 8-10. Snack bar does good (but expensive) food.
The atmosphere and the service at the bar. The breakfast buffet was not especially good.
the pool, service a bit far from the center core of town, when walking
excellent value and breakfast
Everything!! It is one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. Nothing!!
Good and confortable place; clean and well placed. The staff freindly and helpful. I will come back and I recommend it. No complaints.
Good interior at reception area. GPS can't guide the hotel.
Wonderful swimming pool Expensive parking
Very nice, modern and comfortable hotel, good location, only 10 to 15 mins walk to city centre. rooms a good size and quiet. managed to park in the street very close to the hotel, a plus. reception staff helpful and friendly. Everything was perfect.
Good welcome from attentive receptionist, who from the outset used and remembered my name, even the following morning when checking out. Very clean hotel. Excellent variety and quality of breakfast. Parking at reasonable rate under the hotel. Easy to find hotel, entrance well signposted.
The Bathroom requires some work especially the bath area.It had mould and the shower mixer was very hard to operate.
The hotel was shabby smelly and by no means a 4 star
The hotel provided free Internet. The hotel was only a couple of blocks from a stop on the City Tour bus. The hotel provided secure parking. The air conditioning system in the hotel was substandard, and I found the breakfast buffet mediocre.
Location excellent, staff very obliging and always willing to assist. Restaurant buffet style with plenty of choice and ability to satisfy all tastes.Excellent value for money.
Easy to find, and to park the car. Right next to Corte Inglés and Hipercor for shopping. It's 15 minutes walk from Granada centre, but that's no great hardship, unless it's raining.
Looked after by good staff who cared about guests. Its location and traffic niose even on the 5th floor.
Located well for access to motorway which helped in a large city roadnetwork. Very impressive foyer and facilities- good choice at breakfast and room service. Helpful Staff on reception - particularly David. A taxi ride away from the Centre - but this is the price you pay for easy access from Motorway!
Breakfast was extensive if perhaps lacking in 5* quality, which I could expect of a 4* to be fair. The room was of a good size and was well decorated and clean. It had a pool, although not terribly enticing to get in to, it helped with the 40+ degree heat. The curtains allowed for total sun exposure black-out, great for siestas in July! The pool area was severeley lacking an upgrade to bring it in line with the other good hotel facilities.
The reception area is lovely and very inviting which gives a lovely first impression. One thing, the breakfast finishes too abrubtly. On the dot of 10 o'clock you feel like you have to finish up very quickly as all the tables around you are being cleared and the remaining food has all been taken away. Bascially I feel you could leave a 10 minute gap before the mad rush of cleaning up starts.
Sercotel Carmen is a luxurious, well appointed and centrally located hotel ideally placed for any type of Granada visit. Reception staff could have been bit more attentive on arrival but rest of stay couldn't be faulted.
The staff were very friendly. They let us to change rooms when we were not happy with the first room. Hotel lobby and restaurant were of a much higher standard than the actual room. And Rooms at the front on the hotel are extremely noisy.
Value for money central location AC is not working properly in the room - uncomfortble temperarures
Lovely pool. All the staff were extremely friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Would recomend to anyone.
Rooms, pool terrace, breakfast and location More sun loungers needed near the pool
Room had a lot of space. No internet wireless when they said that they would have it
Central to the city of Granada making walking easy, good seating areas in the hotel, very pleasant coffee shop , good breakfast We had front bedrooms which proved a little noisy but this would be expected in a large City
Exceptional location, polite and friendly staff. Impressive breakfast selection! Issues with room's soundproofness. My room was on one of the lower floors and I kept hearing the noise & vibrations coming from hotel's ventilation system
The hotel was in a good position for the everything you need on a short break. The room was at the front of the hotel and was very noisy, particularly late at night, and early morning. The pool and terrace facilities were not available, which we were unaware of before we travelled. The dining room had recently been altered and was not as appeared on the website.
good staff and location,
The hotel is central for the city and all historic visits, also close to restaurants and bars
Good position, well run
staff very helpful and location next to alhambra bathrooms too small and showers too small
Opposite of Alhambra entrance. Diner was OK, but a bit like the Dutch "Van der Valk".
The location is superb, Alhambra is at the corner, the center is also in short distance (15 minutes walking or 5 minutes bus). The hotel is very well organized, staff is very well trained, everything is working smootly and effeciently. Considering the price category no complain can be made.
superb location overlooking alhambra. city bus tour stops just across the road. bathroom not well equipped for 4 star hotel. when dining in hotel restaurant, unable to order wine by the glass. when dining in barbecue area, able to order wine by the glass but unable to order coffee.
Comfortable hotel, offering good value for money, just across the road from the ticket office of the Alhambra.
Proximity to Alhambra was brilliant!! Just a 5 minute walk away Rooms are slightly on the small side, but still very comfortable and good value for money
Location within walking distance to the Alhambra Palace was excellent
Closenes to AlHambra NA
The proximity to the Alhambra was excellent. Quiet location. Very convenient for regular bus service to the city.
The biew No swiming pool
restraunt could be better
The hotel is beautiful and the staff is very accomodating. The views of Granda from the hotel are stunning and it is a 5 minute walk down the hillside from the Alhambra. A very special place.
Comfort and proximity of Alhambra
Excellent location. Good value for money. Everything was very good.
We had an amazing view over Granada and La Sierra Nevada. The bedroom and bathroom were very comfortable. I didn´t like the fact that when we tried to check in at 15.15 on the day of our stay, our room wasn´t ready which I was not very pleased about. The answer from the Receptionist who was very rude, was that if we didn´t want to wait for our double bed with the fantastic views we could have a room with two beds and without a view!
Beautiful hotel and view of the city. Priced for location. Priced for location. Staff was not helpful or friendly.
the location,breakfast......"our staying one night only"
Friendly, Professional, Accommodating, Luxurious Nothing
Average, dont bother, our suffering should be enough! Nothing
Panoramic views of Granada, great breakfasts, friendly helpful staff, car parking available, moorish decor and proximity to Alhambra Palace Slightly tempermental plumbing and carper and decor a bit 'tired'
Fantastic to visit the Alhambra and then feel as though we were staying in a beautiful up to date version of it at the Alhambra Palace Hotel.
Although off season, the food was magnificent and plentiful. The hotel was spotless.
Good facilities though they did not have any record of the booking. Luckily, it was out of season so they managed to find a room for us. the staff were pleasant and efficient. More of a business hotel than one for travellers. It was a good 15-20 min walk into the centre of Granada.
Modern contemporary design hotel, excellent facilities (although would have been good to know in advance that the pool and jacuzzi are on an outdoor terrace, and only open between June-September). The staff were super helpful - called taxi's for us, valet parked and returned our car from the parking garage underneath the hotel, and were quick to service any requests regarding our stay. Room was clean and comfortable, good space for unpacking and loads of wardrobe space too. The bathroom was high quality with granite surfaces and bath surround, and the power shower was well needed after a hard day's snowboarding in Sierra Nevada!!! Good access to the centre of Granada - a short walk or taxi ride takes you to Carrera de Genil where you will find many shops including the El Corte Ingles department store. This hotel also has very easy access back onto the ring road and is easy to find coming into the city. Will definitely stay here again.
Because the facilities
The room was very complete and comfortable and the staff very friendly and accurate.
reception staff were excellent.many thanks Alberto no tariff displayed for the minibar only 1 english tv channel
the parking is apart a hotel, so i didnt like, that is necessary to cross the road.
clean and large rooms. 15 min walk to center. good price for last time. road working front of the hotel. a little bit dusty.
In our case the negative experiences prevail. Therefore we cannot recommend this hotel. I am sure there are much better choices. This hotel was one of the most chaotic we have experienced so far. At the reception was an unexperienced person, although very kind. First we got the key(card) for a wrong room. In the bathroom the glass wall between the tube and the rest of the bathroom was missing (obviously there used to be one before) so that after taking a shower there was water all over the bathroom. Poor English of the reception staff (e.g. we asked if breakfast is included and they said yes, but in the end we had to pay 10 Euro per person). Breakfast was not bad but not worth 10 Euro. The hotel is a little bit difficult to find by GPS as there are many construction works around the hotel and many roads are closed. Swimming pool was still filled with water but closed
Nice room, good staff, clean, no noise, good airco, nice bathroom, swimming pool to cool down at end of day Location (15 min walk to center - bus is available closeby) - Jacuzzi didn't work
Clean, very good decor, good sized rooms, good location in terms of being used as a "base" for exploring Granada. Falls short of the 5 star claim, breakfast was not up to scratch with food obviously being sat for a while. It's a good 4 star hotel, not a 5 star.
Proximity to town and motorway; hotel design; spa TV choice and reception very poor; turndown service (appeared to be 2 chocolates and tomorrow's weather only - no bed turned down!); need to hire key for safety deposit box; need for guests to pay to use the spa; bathroom not clean when we arrived (used cotton buds, water on floor, only hand towels, half-full shower gels etc.). Its a very nice looking hotel and our room had a great view but it needs to pay more attention to detail to earn the 5 stars it claims, otherwise its a 2-3 star hotel in a 5-star shell :-)
The location of the hotel was great! the ac wasnt that cold
Room Food for brekfast
The staff was very helpful. The hotel and the room were extremely clean. The breakfast was amazing! Near to all touristic attractions.
Close to the center, Internet free in the reception only No kleenex, no shower cap in the bathroom
the hotel was excellent nothing
Decent location, nice bathroom. Spa did not allow me to even check out the spa, no available pool, front staff was not terribly helpful (except one of the managers) or friendly.
very nice room, and a good bed. that the spa was closed during the day from 2pm until 5 pm
Very good hotel They cancelled the key room 1 h before our departure considering all the
Fantastic, impeccable and beyond reproach. This was, in summary the perfect escapade for Granada I feel; and my wife echoes my comments too. Staff were most helpful and jolly; and it had a most magnificent night view of the Catedral and Alhambra. Also, within walking distance to most shopping areas and bazaars. NONE!
This is a very comfortable city-centre hotel, well designed, with friendly, helpful staff, and a nice spa.
Beautiful hotel and fantastic location, very friendly and helpful staff. We had a corner room on the second floor which was very nice, but had a strange open layout with the toilet being virtually inside the bedroom - bit of an awkward room design.
Located within a few blocks of the center of the city, this beautiful hotel is a prize. Friendly multi-lingual staff; comfortable, clean, modern rooms; roof top bar -- what is there not to like? Really enjoyed ourselves.
The hotel staff were outstanding. They were quick to help and set a high quality of service. In the spa, there were a few minor things that needed work. One of the features didn't function and there was some part that looked in need of a bit of repair. ...and lastly the lighting... it seemed like there was a light that was. These are minor points though, I really enjoyed the spa.
Front staff was very helpful. The room is of Modern Design, but in some way not convenient.
Salvatore, at front desk, went far above and beyond with his hospitality and helpful information. Great attitude
Location Noise from traffic
The staff were superb, especially the lovely Salvador! The location can't be beaten, the standard of fixtures and fittings is very high and there is some flair to the design. The rooms are not suitable as twin rooms - a twin room merely comprises a king sized bed made up as two singles, not separated at all and there is no door to separate the bathroom, merely doors on the toilet and shower cubicles. So the rooms are only recommended for singles or very close couples!
The free wifi, the remaining of the 16 centuries underground in the entrance of the hotel, near to Alhamra 10 min by taxi, the old & new shopping stores No dry clean service, the bathroom aparts no privacy, and there is smell in the bathroom
The reception staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing plenty of suggestions for eating and exploring. The hotel room was spacious and clean. The location is by far the best aspect of this hotel as it is only a block from the Cathedral (where you can catch a bus to the Alhambra) and the Albaycin and about 3 blocks from Puerta Nueva. The more backpacker style tapas bars are right next door on Calle Elivira, although people may need to go a bit further afield if they are looking for a more refined experience.
Unusual design, location. Over priced.
The best part of our stay at the Palacio de los Patos was the food and service in the restaurant - we were completely surprised and delighted by the delicious tapas brought to our room, the excellent buffet breakfast each morning and the dinner we ate one evening in the hotel restaurant. Excellent location in the shopping center of the new city. The staff seemed to be young and inexperienced - polite and tried hard. The problem was the room - minimalism decor was extremely uncomfortable to the point of total discomfort, The rainshower from the room above us came pouring into our room, glass doors were hadardous, not a single draw, no where to put anything away. Designers loved purity but forgot the needs of the guests.
Excellent room (quite 3rd floor - central - new building). Staff were superb.
the hotel was beautiul. the service and location were great. I wish I could have stayed here even longer.
We were delighted with Palacio de los Patos. It was everything we hoped it would be. Central, pleasing modern decor, interesting building, courtyard garden area. The staff were at the same time attentive and onobtursive. The breakfast buffet was good with local cheeses and meats and divine pastries. room service brought early morning tea very promptly. We ate in the restaurant on two evenings- it was elegant and relaxing and we recommend the tapas selection.
The old part of the hotel looked spectacular, shame that you didnt get to stay in a room in this part. Very central location. Convenient to walk to all the sites and nightlife Spa was very disapointing, staff were very attentive but the pool was too cold to sit in and relax and the steam room was only big enough for 4 people to sit comfortably. Room was ok but was not keen on the glass walls for the toilet and shower (personal preference) and dissapointed that one of the dressing gowns in the room was ripped.
The staff was lovely. The breakfast and dining room staff were quite friendly and accommodating.
The beds were very comfortable It was very noisy - traffic, people shouting, street cleaners all through the night.
The location is incredible. We felt like we were in the heart of Granada without being at the epicenter. You can walk to the Catedral de Granada, the Albaicin and the Alhambra (although that is steep and you might want to taxi). Even without those amazing sites the plazas and winding streets are charming and enough for any tourist. The Hotel is beautiful. One modern building and one classic. Both are kept up. We stayed in the modern building and looked upon the classic. It was done in a way that didn't distract from either building. The staff is friendly. If you've rented a car then you can park it for a small fee. The Food & Beverage department appears to be severely understaffed. The staff works hard but they seem frazzled and their scope of work seems to be too large - indoor and outdoor seating as well as bar tending and bussing.
Liked everything, the hotel was fabulous, the staff was the best. Great hotel, great location, great setting, great staff!
Very helpful staff and efficient service. Room was very contemporary (in the new part of the hotel). It would be good if they provided some movie channels for the TV. Might also be helpful to provide a local guide, listing some good bars/restaurants close to the hotel etc.
Hotel chosen purely on location, to visit my daughter who is a student in Granada. Reception staff where efficient and helpful and I liked being able to leave my luggage in a secure location after check out. The room had no view whatsoever, and was not particularly clean (corners had not been cleaned for many weeks in my opinion.) Towels were ragged and although some toiletries where left in the bathroom there was no body lotion nor shower cap. We were only there two nights, so not a real problem, but I would not have liked to stay for any longer, nor if I was on business and needed sleep. It was extremely noisy, and we were disturbed quite significantly by the noise of chairs being dragged about (function room?) doors slamming and the sound of water from other bathrooms.
the hotel is in the middle of the city and easy to get to the motor way if you wish to go some where else i think the hotel should have told us about the road works as trying to get to the hotel and the parking area was terrible
The rooms were modern and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Liked the location being slightly outside the main town area. Current building work is not the fault of the hotel and did not affect our stay and was not noisy Apart from breakfast there were no obvious food and drink facilties - this would have enhanced our stay. Our TV didn't work and could not be remedied during the stay. Reception staff were helpful but not overly forthcoming. For being a Junior Suite the room had no view !
Convenient to all Granada Hot spots, clean and tidy room with powerful hot shower. The Staff on reception were very rude. We had forgetton our passports as we live already in Spain and they were very very unhelpful. They just shook tier heads at us saying No, No, No. Luckily we managed to get our passports and they gave us the key to our room. On check out, they messed up the bill, with no apologies and no 'thank you for staying with us' etc. I was really offended because we had kind of splashed out on a more expensive hotel (expensive for us) and as a special treat to my boyfriend but in return I was embarrassed and wished I had chosen somewhere else.
Very good situation, Easy to find. Nothing to complain about
The location and the room was very comfortable there was no tea making facilities or shower caps in the room
we have used this hotel several times as it is convenient for sightseeing and pleasant atmosphere. the room carpet was a little dirty, end of season wear and tear no doubt.
The hotel is in the City Center, and its just great. Furthermore, when you compare prices, it is extremely inexpensive and its a 4-star (true) hotel. Not huge, not extremely small... but just right. The parking lot was full...
Clean hotel rooms. Didn't use any other facilities and didn't know anything about them! The man at reception was very rude, unhelpful, uninformative, and basically made us feel very unwelcome!!
Staff at reception were extremely helpful Lunch for a vegetarian was not good
Hotel is in a good location, within easy walking distance of many things. Helpful staff. Room was clean and tidy. Room was very small. I asked for a room with a view and my view looked out into the vent shaft in the middle of the hotel and windows of rooms surrounding it. The hotel restaurant was closed while I was there and the bar seemed to have very little to offer. Hotel parking is limited and expensive at 19€ a day!
The hotel was good value for money. The room was clean and very modern and good amities. Nice gym and spa. Junior suit was a good size with jacuzzi bath. Bad smell in bathroom.
position nearby city center; easy to reach by bus direct from airport. clean and confortable room; perfect
Top class hotel with a more then appropriate value for the money, certainly in winter time. A bit far from the historical centre, however a 05 minutes walk to bus 32 takes you for euro 1.20 in 20 minutes to the Alhambra.
The hotel has great value for money, everything was great. We had no complains whatsoever. Real good 4 star hotel with very good amenities. Good breakfast ad nice staff. Perfect.
Good internet connection, very good beds!!, clean modern decorated rooms Internet (WiFi) is not included and cost an additional 10 euro/day. Coffee machines at breakfast were always out of milk....
I like the style of decoration and the bed. There is a little nice pool and jacuzzi for guest, i did not use them because i upgraded to a junior suite with jacuzzi. I did not like the fact that there was no Iron and board for guest to use in the hotel, even on request. I stay for 7nights and they did not replace the bathroom amenities. when i asked, i was told that the amenities are for the duration of guest stay.
This hotel did not interrupt my stay in any way, I would stay again. The cost was high and I thought breakfast had been included.
The hotel room is excellent for the price. The hotel is clean and modern. It is one of the best hotels we travelled in Spain/Europe. The stairs leading up to the front door is annoying as you have to carry heavy luggage up quite a few steps. Access pathway should be built for handicap and moving luggage
Excellent family suite, very comfortable and conveniently located.
very well situated
The best thing about staying at the hotel was free internet acces, the courtyard, easy acces to the centre of the city. Free mini bar was good There was no music channel availabe through the tv. No cd player or radio to listen too. The safey deposit box should be in the room with a coded box. The sauna facilites were good but a swimming pool would have bene better. No tea and coffe facilites availabe in the room.
The reason I selected Santa Paula was because the Hotel is in a 14 th century house , convent., medieval courtyard and the location.Unfortunately I did not receive the rooms I requested (courtyard view). I was not told the "type" of rooms I reserved were not located on the courtyard. Very frustrating. We revived every day in the Turkish Bath and sauna. The staff were helpful . Your descriptions and prices are extremely misleading. The reason I selected The ac Santa Paula was because the Hotel is in a historic building with a medieval courtyard + location.I Specifically requested a court yard room .I specifically requested 2 rooms on the court yard. We received 2 tiny new rooms in a new wing I did not know existed. The staff informed me the rooms I reserved were not on the court yard! Why did not some one inform me upon my reservation. The next morning the gracious staff moved our belongings to rooms facing the courtyard. They did not inform us that the court yard (not on the court yard level but facing the court yard) rooms were not the same rate I had been quoted substantially $$. Very frustrating experience.
Extremely friendly staff, well positioned hotel, excellent bathroom with huge bath, free minibar, we had free coffee every morning ordered through room service. Only 1 english speaking tv channel - CNN.
style of hotel and convenient position
Central Location, friendly staff
excellent service, helpful front desk, great location, knowledgeble about restaurants, etc
We were upgraded to the older section of the hotel which was very quiet. The room was very spacious and nicely appointed. Last few nights in Spain, thought we would splurge. Hotel recommended some excellent restaurants.
Fabulous hotel layout with good food selection for breakfast. Location is great for access to Alhumbra. Hotel is a converted monastery so had lots of space and many interesting alcoves to explore. Very clean and well serviced except for drinks waiter who 'forgot' to serve us more than one drink. Very poor drinks service in the lounge
perfect location, nice room expensive, especially meal services
Having bus stops just outside the Hotel for both city centre and the Alhambra made the location ideal. Also the hotel was very easy to find and had good parking facilities.
Nice hotel, great room. Enjoyed the hotel. There is no parking at this hotel. The description said there was. Street parking was available, but when we followed the instructions from the front desk and parked where he circled on the map, the spot was not legal. I narrowly avoided a tow and got a ticket.
The hotel was easily reachable by car and within easy distance of the Alhambra. The design of the rooms is nice. As in almost all of these kind of hotels it is impossible to control your own room temperature. The airconditioning didn't work, therefore I complained about our room being too hot too sleep to the reception and the receptionist said she would turn down our heating in her computer system and advised us to open a window. Even after that, it was so hot in the room that we had to sleep without sheets. Opening the window helped a little but brought in the sounds of the very busy conjunction of streets on which the hotel is located. The second night the room seemed even hotter and in the middle of the night i called the reception to complain, but both phones in the room didnt work! It was impossible to sleep in this hotel. Would never go back.
Think this is a very new hotel as it took for ever for staff to check us in, sort out small problem with car park.
modern very comfortable Hotel-big rooms and good views (624). Bus stops outside to reach city centre, every 15 mins 1 Euro. Very sharp towel rail at front of wash basin- both wifes (two bookings) scratched themselves badly!!!!1
I booked this hotel based on reviews alone and it did not disappoint. The hotel was opulent and luxurious, and the staff was impeccable. It was the nicest place we stayed in Spain, and it was not the only 4 star hotel; it was noticeably better than the other 4 star accommodations we chose.
A really great hotel ideally placed for Alhambra palace within an uphill walking distance. Bus stop right outside to take you into the city at 1.2 euros. Large comfortable room with mountain views, great buffet breakfast with loads of choice helpful friendly staff at reception, on site underground parking (extra cost), overall excellent.
Nice modern styled, compliments! Good facilities The wifi internet is not working. That's a shame, becaurse it is an important facility for us.
Everything about this hotel wa just fine - staff, rooms, cleanliness ad breakfast. Must travel to city center, but I was prepared for this and Ididn't mind.
Excellent..... It's neighboor is the Mezquita. The house was built by the romans, before the muslim arrival. It is a trully incredible experience. The hotel staff is cordial and the hotel offers everything that a tree stars hotel does.
Loved the hotel, would definitely go back and recommend it!
The location was great for sightseeing, the staff was efficient though English was hard to come by. The room was spacious & the shower was great - all the hot water u & a love need. Breakfast option was pre-purchased, everything but fresh fruit! Stayed in room 602 - well worth the upgrade Parking was not straight forward but once done was a breeze leaving
This hotel provided us with a great accommodation including a smile from Kathy at no cost!. She looked after our reservation for the Alhambra with a speed and efficiency when we have registered at the hotel and gave us tips on the city tours. What a nice touch to our traveling in Spain! Thank you, Kathy. We have no complains about this hotel in Granada. Enjoyed our stay tremendously.
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.
The location of the Anacapri was off the main boulevards making it quiet in a noisy city. The location is very central to all the sites and easy to reach by bus. The room was very clean, comfortable and nicely decorated. The hotel has pleasant, helpful English speaking staff. Our room was a good size, but I saw others that looked very small. The wi-fi was free because we showed Rick Steve's Travel Guide, otherwise there was a high fee for it. Also, the wi-fi had to be reprogramed several times while we were there...they need to get that fixrd permanently.
the very helpful desk staff that were able to assist us with our stay and provided accurate information about Granada
The location was excellent. Breakfast coffee poor.
The hotel is very close to the cathedral and the shopping centre of Granada. It is at walking distance to the old centre of Granada and we only took the bus to the Alhambra because we did not want to make the climb up. Excellent value for money.
Very centrally located and clean. Has wifi available in lobby free. Front desk staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful when I worked with them. Walls are thin and people are loud late after midnight in this hotel. If you open interior or exterior windows it will be very loud in your room. Bring ear plugs.
Good location, helpful reception staff, good breakfast buffet Slightly noisy outside on Saturday night, passing locals and bar not connected to the hotel
Staff friendly and helpful. Able to give accurate and useful information about site seeing in Granada No parking. Although did give alternative once we had arrived, would be useful to have that information before arrival.
Kathy at the front desk was fluent in English and helped us in several ways. The floor of our room was not very clean.
The view of the Alhambra and Albaicin and mountains from our window was great. Our room was very comfortable and everything worked.
good central position
Excellent hotel in good location, 20 minute walk into town centre or short bus ride on regular service.Staff extremely helpful at all times, can't fault it.
location, clean and comfortable rooms, convenience to sights. no
the view was wonderful the bed was hard as arock
We were only there one night and the location was not as good as we hoped.
Location and views of the City were great, staff in the bar and reception also very helpful The food in the main Restaurant was not really four star ..pity really as the rest of the hotel was
One of the best hotels I have ever visited for such a good price (around 50 eur for a double room), beautifully designed spacious room, excellent view from the 14 floor, big bathroom, excellent location. Pay TV, expensive bar and restaurant.
Very nice and spacious rooms. Parking just across the street. Very nice staff. Convenient location.
The personnel/staff are really nice and the room and bathroom are very confortable and clean.
very handy for all places of interest road noise during night
It was in a very central part of the town. The entrance lobby looked good. First, booking.com stated that 3 adults+1 child could stay at the room for 40 euros with no charge for the extra bed; however, they charged us an extra 20 euros for the extra bed. Second, the WC was very cramped and the bed covers and pillows were not very clean.
A small room but it was well cleaned. The staff was courteous.
Friendly helpful staff who spoke English made everything very easy. I especially liked the good design of the ensuite room. The hotel's central location was ideal for my purposes. It was very peaceful the first night of my stay. The second night was spoilt by a man talking loudly and constantly for several hours somewhere in the lobby area. I was awake at 5.0am and I first heard him then. I couldn't get back to sleep because of his talking, I think he must have been a staff member, perhaps the night porter, or otherwise someone would surely have told him to be quiet. I didn't want to interfere, as I'm a disabled person and avoid conflict.
Good location, very clean and quiet, staying at the hotel was a pleasant experience, I recommend it
The hotel is really in the center Rooms are very small and noisy. Reaching the hotel by car is very difficult: there is a limited traffic zone, with checking cameras, and the hotel is inside
Very convient for town centre Lift not operating on the last day
The location of Hotel Universal was perfect, close to everything. The parking was ideal as we knew our motorbike was secure. The Hotel was close to everything you would need. The Hotel Staff were all polite The Cafeteria downstairs
