Pros: While this is an older hotel it was perfect for a nights stay. We were stopping in Gatlinburg for a night and we just wanted a room close to the main street. The hotel was about a block from the restaurants and shops. It was clean and had a refrigerator and microwave which was all we really needed. The bed was ok and it was quiet. Would've preferred a room with a king bed but that wasn't available. Which isn't the fault of the hotel. Parking was easy. The only thing I would say could've been a problem is that the room we were in was in a separate building from the main desk so it wasn't convenient to go to the front desk if we needed anything. Check in was fast and the gentleman working as very nice.

Cons: It was very dirty this time. Sticky floors, dark long hair everywhere, extra dirty bed topper, and when we woke up the next morning there was a cockroach on the headboard. Incredibly disturbing. In the past this has been an excellent value for the stay but the cleaning staff had clearly left things in poor standing. Also a burnt out bulb in the lamp stand and there is a gap running all the way around the entry door to the room so we could smell the very strong scent of marijuana coming from the next room, which isnt exactly the fault of the motel, but the door should be better insulated at least.

Pros: The hotel was ok. It was located in a perfect spot. It was close to the park and right by the Main Street through Gatlinburg. The room was comfortable and clean. We had a balcony which was nice but the view was of a parking lot. This is a good hotel if you don't plan to vacation at the hotel. We used it to sleep and spent the days at the park so it was perfect for us. Free breakfast was a plus but you got to get there early being that the dinning area is so small. I will stay here again.

Pros: Great view of Mount Le Conte. Above, and away from all the activity in Gatlinburg. Very friendly, and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable rooms.The restaurant was very nice; good service, good food. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. And the cookies at the front desk!
Cons: We stayed for a week, most people/families don't, which means that there are a lot of rooms to turn over every day. House keeping has more than they can handle, and on two occasions our room was not cleaned until 5:00 P.M. Check in appears to take a while (that wasn't the case for us), not sure why.

Pros: The hotel was pretty clean. The location to downtown Gatlinburg was fantastic. The continental breakfast was more than the cereal and muffins that you get in other places. The staff was as helpful as they were allowed to be.
Cons: The bathroom was tiny and crowded as was the room. The walls were so thin that we could hear the phone conversation of the man in the next room as well as the female that was on the other end of the phone line. The "Mountain-side View" that we were supposed to have was the employee parking lot and a steep hill with a lot of trash and debris on it. The Kayak website leads you to believe that you can get a Smoking room, but you are not allowed to even smoke on the balconies of these rooms as it is a "No Smoking on the Grounds" property.

Pros: Breakfast was delicious with many options. Staff was great and had toothpaste (which I forgot). Fantastic location. Less than a five minute walk to the aquarium and the strip is one block over with easy access. The hotel is on a very quiet street and there is a really nice sitting area down by the river.
Cons: The only complaints I have are minor. The parking garage has some weird parts to it. It's clearly conformed to the mountain behind the hotel. Also the lamps between the beds didn't work, but the staff probably would have fixed it if I had let them know. Also there were plenty of other lights in the room.

Pros: Staff was super friendly, breakfast every morning in the lobby was more than expected, and river views from room are amazing. About two blocks from town, shops and dining. There is a trolly right outside hotel if you don't/can't walk a lot. The stream sounds were fantastic!

It never really seemed to 'dry out' in the room. That's okay, there was so much to do in and around town, we mostly slept there. You can hear traffic from parkway in the room.

Pros: Baymont Inn is a decent location just off the main drag which was nice as it was away from the majority of the noise and nightlife. The room was clean and had a fireplace and a patio. Everything in the room was spacious except for the bathroom. Breakfast was good and they kept it stocked throughout.
Cons: All rooms are accessed from the outside (no internal hallways). You don't have to go into the lobby to gain access to the stairs up to the room. The pool was warm however, it was over chlorinated like most hotel pools. Bathroom was very small and I could tell the place was slowly being updated. I think that the price for this hotel was a lot more than it should have been. This hotel would fit most people's needs its not the best nor the worst.

Pros: I cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Its literally by the water front, the room has an incredible view of the mountains and the local hotels are neat and the town is very tourist friendly, there are local trolleys to help you get around. It's beautiful and full of cute shops, definately worth exploring.

I booked through kayak which sent us to getaroom.com, the staff at getaroom handled the situation well considering the mistake on someone's part. Either way it took an hour to check in. Then one of my kids got 23 dollars stolen out of his pants. When I reported it the lady (at the hotel) disregarded it saying the maid thought it was a tip....but it makes sense, every maid should take what they want from kids pockets. Really though for the money I just expected decent humans working for them and none were found. Find another hotel its Gatlinburg, there are plenty.

I asked for shower gel and was given a free sample of shampoo from a magazine. My son had a wire stuck in his foot from the crumbling wall of the kiddie pool. Maintainence man told me if I didn't like it to go to a different pool. Terribly disappointed. Wasted so much money. I'd never use this site again. Took friend her husband and family with us, utterly embarrassed. No compensation whatsoever considered

Pros: We needed extra linen for my mother-in-law. She caked to the front desk for some and am employee arrived with some within 5 minutes of her hanging up.
Cons: Check-in isn't until 4 and check out is at 10. I have checked into a lot of hotels before and they've been busy at times, but the wait to check in here was unbelievable. I think it took about 15-20 minutes to finally get to the desk and walk out with keys. We had the pleasure of leaving just before 10 and noticed the housekeeping didn't have any new linen on their carts. Maybe there is a separate one that comes through but we were under the assumption that the sheets aren't changed after each stay.

Walked in to someone else's mess, guess the room had been cleared off the computer so as to be let out again. So we hauled our gear back down to the lobby got another room that worked out fine for our 2 night stay. Couldn't find the TV remote there which was found later under/behind the bed headboard. Before finding called desk about it. Maint. man brought one in less than 4 minutes. Wow! Was nice/pleasant as he programed it to work. Overall visit was good with a few bumps. Enjoy.

Cons: They overbooked and sent us to WildBear Inn, a two star hotel at Pigeon Forge. Before that, they sent us to a better one, which is operated by the same company as WildBear Inn, and took us almost one hour to wait for check-in, but that hotel told us they sent us too the wrong one, since they also overbooked. We paid much more than the price for a two star hotel at that far, but finally we could only go there and just got two free pancakes for they mistake. Who need to pancakes!

Pros: We liked the location. It was within walking distance to almost everything. Loved to restaurant and the outdoor eating by the river. Service was poor but the atmosphere was worth it. Room was clean and spacious. Great view of the mountains. I would return again even though the pool was a disappointment.

Pros: The resort is pretty and is in a great location for walking to the strip on Gatlinburg. Perfect for us wanting to walk around and not have to venture too far away. For the price I couldn't complain.

Pros: We enjoyed that it was downtown close to all of the attractions and shopping, but it was also had a setting that you could enjoy the sounds and beauty of the mountains. And the staff were extremely nice and helpful every time we had a question for them. They were wonderful would definitely stay again.

Pros: hat I liked about brookside was the location. It was right across the street from flapjacks and walking distance from the strip! Great location without being too congested. I liked the rolling creek right outside of back door it was very nice. I liked that they had free breakfast although it was very basic and minimal, the oatmeal was very dry. Staff was nice, not too friendly at times. I walked in to check out and the front desk guy just ignored me and sat on his phone until I was helped by someone else. They also charged my credit card twice but did refund it immediately.
Cons: I did not like that fact that on their website it has a lot of false advertisment. They said they had high speed Wi-fi, it was so slow and wouldn't load anything we had to disconnect and use data. They also said that they have a state of the arch fitness center.. Far from it. It literally had nothing and was very old and run down. The room needed renovations and mens toilet didn't work. The bench press didn't even have a bar!? Overall it was a quick stay so for 3 days what they offered was enough. Although I think next time we will find something nicer and cleaner and more up to date. Overall it was clean but very outdated. The room looked old and the furniture too. Found a few hairs on the sheets..The sheets would not stay on the bed either! I had to readjust them many times.There was a huge rip in the bed skirt. There were no blankets in the room just the sheets that came on the bed.. The shower head was so low that it would be great for someone who was 4 foot tall. We had to squat to shower and that's not fun for my 6' 2 boyfriend and me being 5'5. There was no DVD player so headed up if you brought DVD s. We had to go buy one to hook up. There as a mini refrigerator and microwave and coffee maker so that was nice.

Cons: The second you walk in the room, we opted for the poolside option as we were planning to spend time in the pool with our two small children, all you could smell was chlorine, not to mention the room was about 87 degrees when we first walked in. While looking around our room, we found lots of great treasures, old Broken Oreos in the carpet (carpet looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in about a month) , the bathroom was disgusting you had to hover above the toilet, the shower curtain had something streaked down it, looked like makeup maybe?? Who knows. There was brown matter streaked on the wall I could take a guess on what it was. It looked like feces. The tv kept cutting in and out with sound and picture so that was a no go when my 3 year old asked to watch cartoons before bed. We decided to check out the beds to see what they were like since the rest of the room was absolutely disgusting. On one of the blankets there was red lipstick. And on the sheets there were big black hair. In more spot than one. So I'm guessing the sheets hadn't even been changed? Needless to say we grabbed our bags and our two small children and got the heck out of there, we didn't even stay the night. Then the whole trip was spent attempting to get our refund back as we ended up having to spend money on a different hotel for our trip. And then they tried to tell us that we had to pay for the first night even though we didn't stay. We will not be back. Waste of money and time out of our trip.

Pros: The rooms were sizeable, the water was hot, the location is great whether you're checking out Gatlinburg's tourist district or catching the trolley to Dollywood. Although we didn't go for a swim, the indoor pool looks amazing and I'm sure it's fun regardless of the season. I did note plenty of young families enjoying it while we were there and the air doesn't overwhelm with chlorine.
Cons: We arrived late at night, after 2am, and there was no one at the check in counter, only a sign saying "be back soon". After sitting in the lobby for more than half an hour whole the security guard stated at me and at his phone, a desk clerk finally arrived to check us in. Parking was limited, but they were accommodating by basically not enforcing any parking rules as long as we were not blocking someone in. They put us in a handicap room, which wasn't a problem in itself, but the bathroom door slides open and shut for ease of access and unfortunately it wasn't well oiled so we weren't able to ever fully open or close the door. I did report the problem, but don't know if it was ever fixed as we were only there 2 nights.

Then while we were checking in someone called the front desk and requested help with their shower, she told a gentleman to go help them "because they couldn't figure out how to work the shower." Her attitude about that situation was wrong and she should not have spoken so rudely about someone who is paying money to stay at your hotel, especially in front of other guests (being myself).

There was a dried up paper towel stuck to our ceiling and in the peep hole on the door. The locks on the doors did not feel safe. The beds were so uncomfortable that our backs still hurt from sleeping on them. The breakfast in the morning did not make it with the stay at all. It seemed like a chore to walk from our room to the road every time we left the hotel. We only paid $36 a night to stay there, but I would never ever ever pay that much to stay there again!

Pros: Excellent location along Pigeon Forge Parkway. We were housed in the building located away from the Parkway and with access to a small porch with table and two chairs facing the small yard and the river running behind the property. (Rooms on second floor had balconies facing the river.) No road noise. No noise from nearly rooms (Motel seemed to have few occupants the days we were there.) Only "disruptive" noise came from loudly quacking ducks that patrol the parking lot and the yard behind the building. They quack at night as well as during the day. There are a variety of restaurants within a 20-minute walk from the hotel (also easily accessed by car) as well as an abundance of souvenir shops and such attractions as mini-golf and go-karting venues. Room was spacious: two queen beds, a desk, a movable table. Room had plenty of light (Many hotels where we stay seem to have too few lights.) with an overhead light in the open area near the door, a floor lamp near the easy chair, a desk lamp, bed lamps, and sink and bathroom lights. Microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, hair dryer were all provided. Beds were quite comfortable Bathroom fan worked well but was quite noisy.

Management was apologetic about the housekeeping and sought to make right each thing about which we commented. Pros: My daughter had a field trip in the Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area, and this was one of the lowest priced hotels that had decent reviews. We checked in on Friday evening and our cards didn't work. The desk clerk was very helpful, came up and let us in the room and remade the cards for us. The room was clean and warm, it had good water pressure in the shower.
Cons: It was 40 bucks - I wasn't expecting luxury, just a place to sleep and shower. The freezer part of the min-fridge was very dirty and the only reason I'm even noting it is because we had to store some medicine in the fridge and I had to refreeze ice packs. In addition, the remote didn't work to change the volume on the TV - we only watched TV for about 20 minutes before going to sleep, so it wasn't a huge deal. Otherwise, I don't have any complaints about it, and the only really negative thing of note was that when we came back from dinner on Friday night, there were police officers there for another room and it scared my 10-year-old daughter, although that's not anything that the River Place Inn could have helped.

Pros: The location on the strip was convenient
Cons: We had the AC running since we walked in the door (3pm) until we got back that night (10pm) and it was still very hot in the room. We didn't sleep very much because of how hot it was. The staff are very nice but the language barrier is a bit rough. The tv remote did not have batteries and they wouldn't bring us any. Cell service is unheard of also.

Pros: The bed was very comfortable, contrary to a previous review, from someone before. The room also had a coffee maker in the room, contrary to another negative review.The motel may have updated the beds & added coffee makers since those reviews. The motel staff was able to relocate me to the 1st floor, since I'm disabled & use a motorized wheel chair. I need the use of an elevator or placed on the 1st floor.
Cons: No elevators. I'm disabled & cannot climb stairs. I also use a motorized wheel chair. Without elevators, I need to stay on the 1st. floor. This negative review is for booking.com. The booking site needs to add specialty needs required for customers, such as needing a handy-cap room. This will prevent me from having to check with the hotel at time of booking or arriving.

Pros: geese were cute . Motel was easy to find on main strip.
Cons: hairdryer didn't work. desk chair had huge coffee stain. Motel has limited parking if they had been close to full we would not have had a parking space. I don't know where we would have had to park.

Pros: The only room left on Kayak under $200/night. I now know why.
Cons: The room smelled, was tiny, had ants, shoddy repairs, mold on the bathroom ceiling, loose fixtures. I could keep going. We left a night early and ate the final night's cost.

Cons: Our rooms was not ready by check-in time at 3pm. We was told to return at 4pm. At 6:30 we checked in and one of our rooms wasn't touched. With several attempts wet finally got the room serviced at 7:30pm. The fridge didn't work in 1 room or the microwave in another. I emailed the gm and didn't receive a response.

Cons: They first said I didn't have a reservation even though I was showing him my print off. After he finally decided to give us a room, the room smelled like mold and the bathroom faucet know was on the side of the tub. Went to desk and got another room. This one wasn't much better. Room was extremely stinky. Bathroom didn't look clean. Towels and sheets were dingy and stained. Then my husband pulled back covers and there was a bug in the bed. And elevator has over an inch of standing water in it. Needless to say we left and stayed somewhere else.

Cons: This was the absolute worst place I have ever stayed at. Bed sheets were stained, mattress was stained. Gross. Room was very musty. No hot water Sat night and was told that there was nothing they could do. They didn't care and the owner was oversees. The maids were fighting and one quit on Sat. Impossible to get towels, not sure why they even came in the room. Carpet is so stained an nasty. I didn't even get to let my 1 year old play with toys on the floor. Had to keep her on the bed. You know how hard that is. I know it is winter months but the pool was green and I could tell it hadn't been maintained in a long while. In our room there was a block of wood attached to the door for the lock. If I were you I sure would NOT list this business on my site.

Cons: There was a metal stripping hanging half off the door so we could see daylight under the door. The pool was in need of repair it wasn't well taken care off. The hot tub was broken with nasty stagnant water sitting in it. There was no ice bucket, they gave cups with no plastic over them. It reminded me more of an apartment building instead of an hotel. There were more people who lived in the hotel than there were was guest. The ones who lived there had their clothes hanging all over the balcony their bikes chained to the railing. It was a mess. Worst hotel we've ever stayed in. We won't ever be back that's for sure.

Cons: The breakfast was OK, but the really ridiculous part was the housekeeping stocks the rooms with shopping carts on rough concrete… So at 8 o'clock in the morning now you hear shop in carts up and down the hallway I mean… Seriously? Does somebody really have to say this out loud? In the hospitality industry?

Cons: Check in is at 3pm, we arrived at 8pm and had to wait till 11:30pm to get room because they weren't clean yet, door key wouldn't work 2nd night so my family was waiting outside in the cold whil they fiddled around making a new key, Toilet wouldn't flush, surroundings very noisy including the tenants and maids, breakfast was completely horrific.

Cons: I booked a 2 queen bed room and they put me in a single bed my son is 17 and had to sleep on the floor. I Tried to show the lady my receipt but she said I booked a single. Which was a lie. Never again would I stay there and would never suggest anyone stay there.
