Pros: The first member of staff to great us was lovely, young guy with short, light coloured hair, think he was local. Very friendly and helpful, excellent. We were given a room away from main part on third floor as the place was packed with very loud international students, so our room was quieter. Had breakfast twice the staff cooked us vegetarian sausages to order. Plenty of food, pastries, toast, fruit, yoghurt, cooked items for English breakfast. Lady who cleaned our room was very polite. Parking permit was given to us for £1 a day, just put it on each evening to cover next day, worked well. You just have to find a space on the seafront as close as you can.
Cons: Unfortunately the day we arrived a pair of men's pants were under the beds which had been pushed together to make a king sized bed. I was with my daughter and we wanted a twin room. The room was incredibly hot with a very small window which barely opened. View was lovely but hard to see round netting/ close stonework. They separated beds the next night, but the pants which we left by the bin weren't taken as they must have thought they were ours (despite us both being women! I guess they couldn't make the assumption though) When I raised what had happened the day we left, the guy on the desk, who was dark haired kind of Spanish looking/sounding, argued with me that I should have reported it on the first day. I said it was kind of embarrassing. He just kept telling me that "next time something like this happens in a hotel you should report it so we can deal with the cleaners'. It was like he was telling me what to do in a hotel. We are well-travelled! He was pretty much shouting at me as I left which made me feel horrible and put a damper on the day. What bothered me was it was extremely hot and the cleaners had a lot to do, I felt he was just going to fire someone over it. Breakfast was cleared away at 10 very promptly, despite the fact we'd had to wait 20 minutes for our vegetarian sausages. Lots of people who appeared to be staff seemed to wander around a lot not doing much. Often no one on the front desk and no security to the building as you didn't need a key to get to the lifts/stairs/room areas. Trying to cross the road outside is like dicing with death! Traffic is crazy but beach is opposite only a few yards away. Eastbourne- hmm bit dodgy not great! Pier is lovely though.

Pros: - Great location - Comfy beds -Modern bathrooms with good showers -Spare pillows and cover in room
Cons: - Switched rooms 3 times - First 2 rooms were honestly shocking Finger prints and black dirt marks on walls. Floor not vacumed Toilet not cleaned. Pubic hair on toilet seat. Dust everywhete around the rooms. Window sills not cleaned woth dirt and dead bugs. If kayak would allow me to upload photos I'd show you! - Staff on reception were just not welcoming and friendly. - One male manager helped with my complaint but the female receptionists stood talking in the back room for a good 5 minutes with customers waiting (even if its eork related at least acknowledge customets and advise them you'll be there soon)

Pros: Nice Hotel. My room was a disabled sea view room - very nice. My son and grandaughter's room was much smaller and partly looked onto a brick wall and was very hot at night even with the window open. Also the lift broke down twice and we were on the 4th floor
Mediocre

Pros: Nothing a dirty hotel
Cons: Hotel was dirty, room 12 toilet seat was broken, urine round base of toilet, bedding was stained with tea/coffee, was given another room was of large size again not fully clean, breakfast was cold and dinning area again dirty
Good
6.8
Pros: Good Location and ease of parking . Good Bar and restaurant
Cons: The room was very small and very tired . The air con didn`t work and the window could not be opened and as such the room was extremley stuffy . This is bad enough in April but imagine it would be a nightmare in high summer . Th ensuite was a wet room which was ok , however the room flooded if the shower was on full power shower mode . Also there were no vanity units or shelves for toiletries so these had to be kept in the bedroom as brought in as required .
