Frinedly efficient service, excellent breakfast, great location
Cleanliness, size of the rooms and the style of the rooms The room service menu wasnt the greatest and the shower water varied from scolding to ice cold, unable to find a constant temp.
location, staff were great yes, the toiletries we seen on the maids trolley were alot nicer then the ones we were given in our room , why ?
the location, staff, and services. the TV channels, no enough English and Arabic channels
The professional staff and luxurious surroundings made our stay very comfortable. The underground car park was quite expensive at Euro 30/day and did not have a lift into the hotel.
Very central and quiet. No real complaints
The hotel is beautiful. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. They really give the impression that they want you stay to be perfect, and they will do all they can to make it so.
Service from front desk staff is excellent and friendly. Rooms are large and very comfortable, with separate tub and large stand-up shower. You will sleep very well here! Lots of amenities but we didn't try them as we were only there for 2 nights. Good location, about a 5 minute walk to the Markt square.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful hotel. We brought two of our children that were allowed to stay in our room and the hotel decided to give us an upgrade to a suite. This is what hospitality should read like in the dictionary.
A beautiful hotel which was very comfortable. We didn't eat in the hotel but had drinks in the bar a couple of times which was very pleasant. Staff were extremely polite and helpful. The pool complex was beautiful and relaxing, the only complaint would be the pool could have been made a little bigger. Saying this there were never many people there so it was not really a problem. The hotel is very central and the shops and attractions are nearby. We would recommend a canal boat trip.
I liked everything during my stay at the Martin's Orangerie, especially our room, it's design and cosiness
Very Nice hotel with good location. Main areas of hotel were pretty and well decorated. Room was clean. There was not a shower in our room! Only a hand held shower in a bath....holding the shower head while trying to wash your hair is not that much fun. For a four star hotel, I expect a decent shower. The carpet in our room was quite old and stained as well, but the rest of the room was very nice.
1. Good central location 2. Comfort and charm 3. Parking facilities 4. Good lighting, mirrors and hairdryer in room (important for women!) 5. Helpful and attentive staff 6. Cleanliness of room 7. Excellent breakfasts
A nice, comfortable, hotel in a good, central, location. Staff were very efficient and helpful.
Your hotel is quite unique in a way, and had a good relaxing feel to it. Classy without being over elaborate. None
Location, design, friendly, helpful, luxurious, comfortable No soap in bathroom. Hair dryer not powerful enough. Nice rug but was slippy.
staff excellent room was at street level
Beautiful hotel and very quiet despite it's central location. Excellent staff with the perfect balance of efficiency and friendliness. Extremely comfortable bed!
The view from the room A proper shower fitting would have been nice
An excellent location to the heart o Bruge The staff were slow, and were not friendly to tourists. Rooms were not available until 3pm no tea coffee facilities in the room
Its location in the centre of Bruges is ideal, and the building has a lot of character. The room was spacious and comfortable. The style of decor in the room was bizarre, and needed up-dating.
location decor and breakfast
It was clean and suited our short stay. It was a beautiful old building, full of character and in an ideal situation for visiting all the sights. The room safe did not work but alternative arrangements were made and the bathroom door did not close properly.
The view from the room was excellent, this was the best thing about the hotel, it's location. The staff were not particularly friendly or professional. The manager was better but there was a general feeling that staff did not communicate to one another and of disorganisation. The room we stayed in did not resemble in any way the example pictures shown on the booking.com website; by comparison it was a much lower standard and definitely did not deserve the description 'recently renovated'. On complaining about this we were offered free drinks which we subsequently had to ask for on the last night which felt awkward. For what we paid the room was overpriced and misrepresented.
Very convenient position close to shops and museums.
The location was central to all of the sites Brugge has to offer. The mattress had a plastic cover under the sheet similar to a hospital bed. Also the pillows were very old and in need of replacement.
The hotel staff were really helpful from the point we booked and arranged to be there when we arrived on Eurostar from London (just after 11pm). We felt very welcome and were comfortable throughout our long-weekend stay. Everything was good.
Hotel staffs are great! location is good, hotel room is very comfortable even it's small. bed is comfortable as well.. breakfast is good, nice view by the canel. it must be really nice if go during summer time none
Very friendly staff. Very helpful. Good eating places right next to the hotel .
Location was excellent for sightseeing in Bruges. Breakfast was really nice. Big variety and good quality. Internet connection in the room was not very good.
The room was modern, clean and with all the facilities required for a short break. The hotel provided a nice breakfast and the hotel location made it easy to walk to numerous fine restaurants in the evening
the excellent hospitality of the staff the television in room 302 was not working properly
Freindly and pleasent staff, who were most helpful on all matters.
Great value and superb location
Staff is very friendly and welcoming Room is quite spacious and comfortable Breakfast is not bad Location is convenient -3-10 minutes walking from main attractions We got room on the first floor and it was a bit noisy, I beleivesecond floor would be better
I got the room for $75/night from the usual $150-200 since it was Monday during the low season. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the train station and right by the Lake of Love. All major attractions are within an easy 10 minute walk. The wi-fi is terrible. I constantly had one bar (instead of 4) on my iPhone, which made everything extremely slow and unstable. Major frustration.
The location is perfect and the staff is nice. There is only free internet in the lobby
*Excellent* location. Very close to the train station and to the center of the city, but insulated from craziness off a lovely little street leading into a beautiful park. Really a wonderful area. I know this is relatively typical for a European hotel, but the room was tiny. The bed was so narrow I had flashbacks to college. Wonderful bathtub, good thick quiet walls, but just a tiny little room. It's a great place to stay, but I have trouble reconciling $136 with the lack of space in that room.
Very nice staff at the recption and also flexible to our needs. Also nice hotel. Nothing at all.
Ample space, chocolate, friendly staff, bathtub, comfortable beds, decor, great location in the city, attractive and modern
Always a good hotel.
Great position. Good breakfast. Internet access should be free in all four star hotels.
A very good hotel.
Gorgeous hotel just outside the center of Bruges but less than a ten minute walk to the markt. My room had a beautiful view of the city and was very comfortable.
As a regular visitor to the hotel the convenience and the general good package offered by the hotel suits my needs
The staff was fabulous. Particularly the front desk staff. There were no drawbacks that we experienced.
Quiet room. Good breakfast. Rooms could use new carpet. 10 Euro charge for phone use.
Friendly staff. Closeness to the town centre and to the train station. The swimmning pool and swimming pool area looked as though it had not been cleaned for a long time. There were lots of towels and sheets stored in the pool area, the dirty towels had not been collected to be cleaned.
The hotel is a 2-star hotel, but in the website it was classified as a three-star. The pillows were wet, the bar and restaurant were closed, the mattress were old.
Very helpful staff.
Karos hotel is in walking distance from a lot of nice places
Staff pleasant The room carpet was filthy & stank of damp
Very dated with furnishings, carpets in a disgusting state not only in our room but throughout the entire hotel looked like the cleaners had trailed bleach all over them, wifi has very limited access and at one point staff didnt know how to allow me access to the system. Bedside lights never worked, very hot and stuffy room.
the rooms the swimming pool, near to shops and attractions. Breakfast varied and excellent hot and cold, cleanliness
Reasonable cost for a clean hotel within easy reach of the main attractions of Bruges city centre Very limited parking, poor lighting in the room with lamp and wall lights not working.
Very good hotel, within easy walking distance of the centre of Bruges.
great location with parking. cute hotel at right price. 2nd visit to this hotel
Often a problem with family-owned hotels, the owner/staff work too many hours. This means that if you have to make a request for service (eg:a glass of wine), one is adding pressure to an already overstretched staff. The room was basic, it was impossible to shower without flooding the floor and the curtains did not fully cover the window. We had a room over looking the car park and with a bright flood light shining all night, sleep was very difficult.
Lots of instant hot water, good room heating, comfortable bed, good decor, good breakfast Better position for wall mirror? kettle in room?
Good rest, breakfast.
Room was ok, nothing luxurious but for the price was satisfactory. Breakfast was good & included in nightly rate. The staff were friendly & helpful, location was quite good. Parking charge was only made known when checking out
arrived very late after problems with eurotunnel and the owner met us after midnight to give us the keys
Very friendly, helpful staff A bit noisy as on main road
The staff was extremely friendly. Showing us where to go, the minute we came in. The mattresses were very soft giving me a bad back pain
Peaceful, allowed to just get on with it, everything there that was required for that, liked being able to sit outside at the back, very convenient sunny meeting place as there were three lots of us staying within our party there.
the politness of the staff and the location with car parking no, only that the bath was a bit stained not dirty just stained through age but not a real probnlem as we had a shower
Had two rooms with family including myself and wife and two children, 6 & 8, and a 21 year old friend. The hotel is one of the best botique hotels I've ever experienced. The staff was great, spoke English which was important for us, the hotel room was incredible and the location is the best in Bruges. Nothing I didn't like but with family I'm glad I got two rooms.
The location and the staff
The chocolate fountain included as part of the breakfast buffet The room was much smaller and not as luxurious as the photos on the website
Lovely boutique hotel with very nice large rooms. The staff spoke English and were super friendly and helpful which we appreciated after having just come from Paris. Wish we could have stayed more days to enjoy the spa. I would definitely like to return for a longer stay. Nothing to dislike about this hotel. Everything was perfect. Great value.
An extremely luxurious and comfortable hotel with friendly and helpful staff and placed in just about the best position for visiting Bruges. Road outside the front rooms overlooking the canal is relatively busy and very noisy at night from cars rumbling over the cobbles.
The relaxed informal atmosphere, a very welcoming feeling. Nothing was too much trouble. Good advice about where to eat from staff.
The hotel is ideally located for exploring Bruges' historic centre on foot. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced, and there is a roaring fire in the bar. Could find nothing to fault it.
Wonderful property and staff. I'd hate to pay full price, but one of the nicest small charming luxury hotels I have ever stayed at! Will definately return. Brugge and De Tuilerieen the nicest surprise of 2 weeks in europe. Bar could use a couple wonderful beers of Belgium on tap.
all was perfect!!! n
It was all wonderful. Fairytale setting with friendly and helpful people everywhere. I couldn't stay longer!!
location, great price, great clean hotel with own parking nothing we didn't dislike
The best thing about the hotel was the fabulous croissants they serve every morning. Breakfast is included in the room price. They come hot from the oven. We dream about it. The location was great too. Super close to the city, maybe 30 steps. There's also a private parking, in a closed garage, 10 euros/day. I wished there was a window in the bathroom to let out the steam.
very friendly staff, excellent breakfast and very clean rooms.would not hesitate to recommend.
Very friendly and helpful staff! No towel railings.
Everything, my wife and I really enjoyed our stay and what was more important, so did the friends we took with us. Nothing
Very clean and well-decorated. Central location too! Hotel rooms was a bit on the small side, but we were 3 people and felt comfortable just the same.
Staff at reception very friendly. I felt welcome, was given a good tip on restaurant, was offered an option on breakfast (as I was leaving before 6).
Proximity to the town and bus service. Convenient attached indoor parking.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfasts were very good, and we felt very comfortable staying here. The location of the hotel was excellent, being a 10 min. stroll from the centre of Bruges. It was also a walkable distance to the train station and buses to other destinations in Belgium were just across the road. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room. We also experienced noise from neighbouring departing guests very early in the morning.
friendly staff, unique architecture oof the building no hairdryer
the unusualness of the place and friendlnesss of staff the bed was too low
The staff were very friendly and hel[pful. The room was clean, comfortable and a nice design. Breakfast was good. Our stay would have been improved by the provision of coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms.
Very friendly staff. Hotel located on quite street.
The breakfast and location were great. It was a little noisy at times - the walls were thin.
very friendly owner and nice building for a hotel.
The location was excellent we never seemed to be more than 5 minutes walk away, and the friendly staff. Nothing we disliked but would have liked tea and coffee making facilities and a mirror in the bedroom.
Open friendly and helpful staff. Relaxed atmosphere.. Proximity to the centre of Brugge The pillow are lumpy. suggest new one.
The Hotel is a lovely mix of the old and new, it was both interesting and comfortable the staff were execellet very freindly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely The bar was very busy and with our room directly above it(a family room), it was quite noisy but not unbearably so, we all got a good nights sleep
very central, friendly staff, good continental breakfast, nice view from room, room and hotel had character
Great secure car park, near to the main part of Brugges but in a nice quiet part. Nice suite
Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was good - 5mins walk from center, but quiet and hidden. Amazing hotel decoration - very romantic feel. Not a lot of staff around, and we had to ring the bell to get attention / bar service.
Great location which was quiet but central allowing for access to the central areas. Stylish decor throughout and very clean. Good views of the belfry/skyline from the front rooms. Very helpful staff and fantastic hot chocalate! Breakfast too expensive when there are so many other places to eat in close proximity.
We enjoyed the town and the boat trip was most interesting. No, we were delighted with all aspects of the hotel.
A comfortable hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Our room, suite 18 was very comfortable Water pressure in bathroom
Overpriced. Lot of water leak stains in the room. Charged €15 per person for a continental breakfast.
Very friendly staff. Quiet location which was perfect for a young family. Nice recently renovated room and a lovely relaxed atmosphere in the hotel. I think parking should be free where hotels have adjoining car parks.
A very quiet hotel with a good carpark, yet only 5 minutes pleasant walk to the centre of Bruges.
close to centre safe car parking friendly staff had to get them to take breakfasts off bill we didnt have
Very good location. Quiet street yet within 10 minute walk from central square. Helpful to have secure parking. Beds were a little soft. Breakfast seemed unduly expensive; however there are several coffee/tea houses in the area serving breakfasts that cater for a range of apetites.
We spent one night in Bruges and were lucky enough to discover this fabulous hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location right in the Center of Bruges and on the water. We had gorgeous views from our beautiful room. The hotel is truly luxurious. The owner is an art collector so it was also like staying inside a gallery with some remarkable art. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We will absolutely be back!
Good Location. Friendly staff. Quiet Hotel, with excellent ambience
Beautiful room and excellent location. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful
Really a lovely romantic escape on our trip. Every detail was amazing from the many bouquets of flowers everywhere to the robes, towels and bedding. The staff were so nice and helpfu.
very helpful staff, well appointed rooms, central position, very good welcoming restaurant situated away from the hotel.
The price was very high for what is quick a simple, albeit beautiful hotel.
Location' room quality, service
The view from our bedroom window was over the canal and this was very attractive. Frequent boats passing by added to the atmosphere of the hotel. The hotel was right in the centre of the town and was therefore perfect for exploring Bruges. The room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Altogether this hotel was perfect for our two night stay in Bruges.
Very freindly and accomodating staff. Beautiful scenic view from the window overlooking the canal
Our room and bathrooom were lovely and comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful.
its a very nice location in the centre . The hotel itself is an atrmosphere of luxury with all the different arts objects. The breakfast is excellent. I would advise anyone booking a room there to ask for "a room with a view". we unfortunately had a kind of basement room although it was at groundlevel.
Atmosphere, space, the Art Deco room. This is definitely not for the less-abled but I do realise that the hotel is a protected/listed building.
Beautiful large room. Very comfortable. Staff very pleasant. Would stay again.
The location was the best.We could get out and do everything together and see most of the streets in Bruges at one go. No drinking water
Nice friendly staff, good breakfast, good location, clean rooms and towels. No electric water kettle and should provide tea bags.
The hotel is very clean and well run, the staff are courteous and efficient. The hotel is everything you would wish for - highly recommended.
The decoration of the room, the comfort and cleanliness of the room, and staff are friendly too too expensive for the breakfast
Standard of the room was excellent Poor view onto hotel car park - meant having to keep nets/curtains drawn which made the room very dark.
Staffe were very helpfull & the location was excellent.
Great hotel. I recommand it for visiting Bruges. The breakfast was very tasty. Near the main place and the beffroi. Very calm and relaxing. Had a great weekend with my girlfriend.
The warm friendly welcome. NA
We found the staff and facilities excellent and would not hesitate in going back.
Nice comfortable sitting chairs. TWO OF THEM!!!! Consummately helpful friendly staff. Lovely breakfast. Cozy bar. Ample TV selections. Good WiFi connection. No complaints.
Centrally located and very relaxing Minor issue , but I thought the breakfast was overpriced.
It was located near the centre but was also quiet at night
The room was very cozy, and well kept. The staff was outstanding, and very attentive to all of our needs. I cannot think of one negative thing about this hotel.
Comfort, Staff, Location, Style
Very good Indication that the hotel is opposite to the busstation at 't zand.
the hotel was welcoming, our room was comfortable and the staff friendly and co-operative. The breakfast timing enabled us to have a lie-in after travelling 13 hours the day before. The public areas were nicely furnished and maintained. no lift but we did'nt expect one in a small, old style building.
very friendly staff, location good with near by parking, pleasant enterior, clean and comfortable, excellent facilities. we had fantastic time and felt very relaxed. the hotel owner was very helpful and pleasant. would love to stay there again.
Clean, comfortableand welcoming. Many good pubs and resaurants on the doorstep and only a short walk to the belfrey.
Location is great, close walk to shop, bars, etc.
Clean, Warm and friendly. What more can you ask for. Room tastefully decorated with huge double bed.Very good breakfast choice but no cooked other than boiled egg. Unlimited tea/coffee. Bus station outside which was quiet so no problem. 10 mins walk from railway station. 3 floors but no lift. Very enjoyable stay. Wash basin plug drain tended to smell. Wondered if there was a ubend fitted.
Our room was rather small but dated. However the bathroom had been refurbished to a reasonable standard. The location was good but the establishment lacked the facilities normally found in 3 star hotels - for example, a bar.
Staff very freindly and polite Front rooms in hotel very noisy with traffic also furniture could do with upgrading
