The hotel is located just a stone throw from the former U.S. airbase. It looks like that it was constructed that times. It is occupied by long-stay VW veterans, now in their late 60ties. Funny place but nothing special. It's on sale now.
All was good. Everything as discribed
There are really two things that to me stood out for the Wild Orchid Resort. First is its staff. From the Front Desk to the waitresses, cooks, house keeping, maintenance and grounds keepers - they were all friendly and super polite. They were always smiling and addressing me as "Mr." Secondly is how well the grounds are maintained. Everything was trimmed and well kept, which I feel shows detail in the management of the resort. The room was comfortable and the small A/C unit performed extremely well. My only dislike is that since I was staying in the older wing of rooms they are in need of some renovation. The shower head desperately needed to be replaced as well as the tub itself.
The hotel looks upscale and pretty nice. Rooms were big and had nice beds with all the amenities. I extended my stay and got another room that was not as good. Shower head didn't work and room smelled but only stayed one night in room. They also had people to drive you where you wanted to go which was nice. The carpet in all the rooms was stained and not very clean.
Location Cleaness and smell of the room
The hotel was actually fairly nice. The staff was good to great. The problem with this hotel is that it is directly behind High Society, the areas premier disco club. The music pumps til 6am whether you like it or not. I paid extra for the suite but that was a bad idea. The 2 suite rooms are towards the back of the hotel where the noise is closest. If you stay here ask to be put as far from the noise as possible. The noise... unfortunate situation for the otherwise nice hotel.
I loved the pool area and friendly staff. I couldn't stay longer. : (
A tequila shot upon checkin - awesome. Food was good. Definitely get the rooms with the large tubs.
Staff is a ten. Room are a 9. Beds are an 11. Experience can't be compared. The only place to stay in Angeles if you can afford the premium price. Not a budget place but you get real value at ABC. Room service 24/7 with a smile. Clearly management know what they are doing. The staff training shows! Room are getting a bit dated and mine could have used a few upgrades. But still best in town. Being critical here. Pool bar is a weird vibe. People there could be a bit friendlier. Wifi was good but went in and out. Again. Being critical. This is a great place.
Very clean, spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. Deep pile carpet, velvet like shading and wall decorations. Has an ATM in the lobby and can arrange travel accommodations to other places as needed. Location with respect to the Walking Street is a bit further than other hotels which are behind that street. Central Park Tower is a good alternative.
The overall experience was awesome. From the time I stepped into check in to check out. I couldn't really find any fault in staying at this hotel. I will definitely come back again and I will also be telling my friends of this hotel. The room was fantastic, the ambiance was great, bathroom was spacious and made me feel very comfortable. Having a huge safe was definitely a plus. The bed was soft to the point you just dont want to get up. If you pass up this hotel for another one in Angeles City than you are doing yourself an injustice. Just book and stay there. You wont be disappointed. My first words when I walked into my room was, WOW !! Nothing to say bad.
Everything. Largest security guards in the entire city. More chlorine in the pool than a WWI trench
The water was brown(the whole hotel), there was a constant sewage smell and the pipes would back up and flood the room(didn't happen only one time. The jacuzzi never got a chance, the sauna would pop it's own breaker. The wifi stength is to weak to be accessed except when standing by the door. The A/C worked ok when it got going. Do not bring your family, i saw the jacuzzi and sauna and thought what a great honeymoon room, wrong the hotels soul source of business is foreigners seeking the sex trade. The staff was the only real positive, exceptionally polite and responsive at all hours. However definitely would not recommend this hotel.
the room was spacious they never did anything that was advertised. No breakfast as advertised. No free shuttle as advertised. Staff was rude and not helpful at all. The emenities in the room were out dated. expired. the pool was dirty and I was there for 3 days before they ran
The service from the staff was excellent. Location was great. Cost was great also. The handle on the window broke and wasn't repaired so I heard everything outside my window for 8 nights. The door to my room wouldn't accept my key card for the first 4 days. There was no way to pay with a credit card for over a week. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and the tub was cracked. The brace for the shower head was broke also.
