It' s a comfortable hotel with all the facilities within Connaught Place area. Nice room, good bed. The direct environment of the hotel is not so appealing, for instance to take a walk to the shopping-area. It remains a 5* hotel in India.... service not always too adequate (took very long to check me in, gave me smoking-room at frist, where I asked for non-sm, forgot to give me back my credit-card, lacks service around the poolarea) . Restaurants could use an update (except coffee-shop).

The best hotel I ever stayed. Clean spacious room, nice interior, security and comfort, everything was there.
Food is delicious. Cleanliness is good as well. Calls are not received and arnt served properly. Very disappointing. Specially in room dinning.
The food was just ok
It was clean and a very nice hotel at a reasonable price. It is also right next to the airport which I found to be very helpful. While it was away from the busy streets of Delhi, it was a short can ride away with less traffic than when I stayed in the heart of the city. They're room service food was pretty good as well. They're breakfast buffet was rather expensive and not very good. Given you are a bit far away from everything else, there aren't many food options so eating there is the only real option.

Bed was nice Front desk service was terrible. Arranged a shuttle to and from the airport. No one arrives to pick us up. We had to fight for over an hour to have the shuttle pick us up. When we reached the hotel the managers said for our trouble (5hours later) he would wave the fee. When we checked out they tried to charge us anyway!
Shower was hot. Dirty and grimy room with stains on the furniture, ripped sheets, and filth in the corners. Frustratingly disaapointing service, time and again.
Food was great. Room was clean. AC was not working and the management said that mechanic will come tomorrow. In delhi heat, this can be a big problem.
Their night club staff is stupid and rude. They do not know how to speak to guests and treat them. and hotel staff is not willing to take any responsibility for their behavior saying it is a third party owned even though it's on their premises .
The room was average and the hotel is close to a train station. Complimentary fruit platter and water. 1. The staff is not trained. even though there were 5 people at the reception desk, they could not manage 4 check-in guest. Prolonged wait as they were busy talking and doing their own things. 2. The breakfast was average - not many choices 3. Turn down service did not replace the soap or shampoo in the room 4. Check out was a hassle the list keep on going.
The Metropolitan Hotel is dated. We were actually a bit disappointed. The shops were not open at convenient times for those who were out on day trips. Internet was available but not for free. Too bad. We missed that convenience.
Location was perfect--nice and quiet, but close to shopping and metro. Great breakfast with a huge variety. Wi-fi was not included. Taxi drivers on hotel property that would hound you when you left.
there was an old room on 10 floor, and hopefully they quickly managed to change for a room on 9 floor which is much better one. So I think their service is good. It looks very well in the lobby, also rooms are well designed, but the landing is always a little bit smelly and dark.

Staff went above and beyond, great hotel for the price, food was great, comfortable rooms and again, staff went above and beyond.
Comfortable rooms and really helpful staff. The swimming pool on the roof was simply great. The booking conditions stated I only had to pay 15%vat extra. However, the price given at booking.com does not include Luxury tax and Room service tax, applicable to such hotels. The amount of taxes I actually paid was more like 25%. The early check-in procedure took about 20 minutes
Teh staff is very friendly and willing to help. The facilities are quite good as well. We tried out both Café Uno restaurant and the Oriental restaurant and enjoyed both. The rooms were clean but they did not smell very good.
Luxury and high level of service. rooms are very comfortable and perfectly clean, staff is very professionnal with an excellent sense of service, business center with computers access very convenient. I really enjoyed my stay at the Shangri-La Hotel
Beautiful hotel and large comfortable rooms and executive lounge was a bonus. Beautiful views over trees and India Gate. The service at the front desk was a bit haphazard.
The comfort and commodities offered by the hotel are excellent. The location right in the centre of New Delhi is also very good.
Staff most helpfula nd friendly. They were ncie and prompt too. Care for security. Lobed the food int he restuarnat/cafe. The banging I could hear during the evening and night. Not very loud but always constant. It sounded like somebody was moving furniture a couple of levels up. It might have been some occasional refurbishing.
Location!! After my booking, Hyatt was trying to overcharge me despite what i received in the confirmation (Thanks God i kept a copy of it). When i raised the question for the overcharge, they tried to lie and after 10 minutes of argument, they adjusted the bill but they made it sound like they did me a favor. I also did not receive any perks despite my Hyatt Platinum status.

This hotel is close to the airport, which is only a 15-minute ride. The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service from and to the terminals. I called a day ahead and the driver was waiting for us with a cleary marked sign and nice car upon arrival. A great place if you just want to chill out after a long international flight and then continue with your domestic travels within India on the next day.
The wifi was good. Better then the one we stayed at in Anand. Great location with good breakfest. Turning on the tvs seemed a bit to complicated. I was only able to see 1 channel. Not sure if it's free or you had to pay. We only stayed 2 days there and we were busy so I didn't bother calling the hotel for help,
Prompt service at the front desk, plus providing an excellent breakfast and a terrific dinner at the other restaurant. The room was quite small for the high price.

Unless you book a suite the rooms at the Royal Plaza are super small and very uncomfortable. However, they do have a very nice breakfast buffet with a variety of foods. Wifi is not free and can be purchased in increments of two hours to 24 hours. However, once purchased, we experienced a consistent spotty wifi connection that was super slow. It was extremely annoying because we had travelled to India from the United States and needed wifi badly to do a few things on our smart phones that took super long to get done because the wifi is just too slow and spotty. When we asked about the slow wifi we were told that we could use the computers in the business center. We went there, of course had to pay them in rupees despite already paid for wifi and found that computers were preset to India. Everything was in rupees and all the web pages defaulted to the India version. So that didn't work out. Additionally, our room key stopped working eight times during our one week stay there. It was so annoying to have to go all the way back to the lobby to get it re-coded. The staff there are like zombies. No one smiles, they all seem annoyed and frustrated and have this slight arrogance about themselves. It's like ugh.

Very good service & clean Internet and WiFi very intermittent with a horrible login interface that made us log back in every time we stepped out of the hotel and back - then spend 10-15 mins at least trying to get it to register again, and several calls to IT per day!! - VERY annoying
The location is perfect for relaxing after a long flight. The staff are magnificent and go out of their way to be helpful - without being intrusive Our room was fantastic - it had a design theme encapuring India anD was a welcome change from the usual comfortable but boring airport hotel rooms I would ( and in fact already have ) recommend this hotel

Check in staff was friendly. Amenities in the room were top notch. Restaurant for dinner had excellent choices. Best grill restaurant in Delhi and excellent wine selection too. Lady at the coutesy area was absolutely rude and obnoxious on the day I checked in. Breakfast quality was one star with lousy quality orange juice for a luxury collection property. Smoked salmon was of the worst possible quality
clean, luxurious. Breakfast was second to none. on the pricey side but the cost is not a surprise.
