Convenience - ideally located
i liked the proximity to the station. The buffet breakfast was excellent and i liked the fact that i saw a well known australian football coach having breakfast one morning. The hotel needs renovation on the inside as everything is worn out and lets a beautiful hotel down. Coffee making facilities would have been nice.
nice location and value for money
For our purposes the hotel was perfect. We enjoyed our stay and felt like honored guests. Nothing. Everything was fine.
Kindness of staff, location just in front of central station. Breakfast was poor, not enough sweet cakes.
The hotel is in the centre of Torino, just opposit Puerta Nouva. The bed was fantastic, you have the possibility to choose between different pillows.Bathroom was quite big. The room I stayed at need renovation (carpet).
The breakfast The parking was a nightmare, I own an expensive Maserati and was told by the reception that the only parking they could offer was any one of three independant garages who pack in as many cars as they can. Not in the least reasurring when then person running the garage says ' give us your keys and I'll try and squeeze it in later'
Good service and excellent buffet breajfast
I was upgraded to a better room for free. Room was too cold.
Great staff and fitness room open 24 hours a day furnitures a little bit old
Location - excellent; price for 3 nights excellent (third of what is quoted as usual price per night); quiet; wonderful view of Torino from 6th floor room; luxury room with excellent en-suite and service was excellent with many excellent nibbles with tea and bar.
It has the best location in Turin, i had amazing time with friends I think it was the best experience for me in Italy. I was surprised by the Italian law of iron, i was shocked when the receptionist told me that I can't have an iron because it was by the law plus I wasn't informed earlier about it.
Exceptinally central and very good service
That you do feel welcome from all of the staff especially those in the bar.
Located in excellent point, high quality rooms, very comfortable During breakfast there is no tea on the self service table, the waiters are not asking what do we need
The quite unique realized dream of an art déco-hotel, with all details in excellent function and fashion.
we enjoy there because of our best locaton . it"s restaurant was cusy and the food was delicious with nice design .
I have been upgraded in a suite. Excellent. Lobby unpersonal and not welcoming
room The recommendation for a local restaurant - it was terrible
We preferred this hotel over competition because of the indoor pool, which unfortunately was closed.
Great location! Found a great price for my stay for business. Would stay here every time Im in Turin.
the location in the historic part of the city , the design of the rooms and lobby . the lack of service , parking far from the hotel . nobody to help you with luggage or to park the car .
The location and breakfast. One girl at the front desk was very rude when we first arrived. We had been walking for hours in the rain with our loaded backpacks and just wanted to check in and lie down. I couldn't believe the attitude we got. Luckily, we didn't see her for the rest of our time there.
Helpful & friendly staff Bvlgari bath products not for bookings made via booking.com. Lack of privacy: one big table in stead of separate tables in the breakfast room; Big window in the bathroom with Venetian blinds (not closing well) looking out on a courtyard – the other apartments around the courtyard can most likely see the bathroom…
Excellent location, nice decor. Breakfast could have been better.
GREAT LOCATION! beautiful room. quiet, clean, big! the ugliest doors I have seen in a hotel! and weird lobby layout/decor + sometimes "family style" service but courteous and responsive. not practical if you have a car. strange layout of breakfast room leaves everyone sitting tightly around a huge table.
personal touch, location and ambience
the central possition of the hotel
Nicely designed and big room. Breakfast was rich in variety and well prepared. The spot is perfect since it is on the city center.
The location of the hotel is ideal for those who need to stay close to all city's amenities and main centers of business I found the single room somehow poor in terms of comfort and quality of the furniture, especially considering the price paid for its rent
Friendliness of Bar staff, Spa area, late checkout We had to move room at 1am as the heating control was not working at the room was much too hot
Room is as described. Very comfortable and hotel very well located. Staff was friendly and helpfull
big room in modern style, mostly indifferent staf, good location, nice spa
The Golden Palace was beyond our wildest expectations, its a beutiful hotel with the very best of facilities and the staff cound not be more helpful and kind. We have traveled widly and found that the Golden Palace is one of the very best Hotels we have ever stayed in. We canot recommend this hotel highly enough.
Friendly and generally helpful staff
I really enjoyed my stay at the Golden Palace, the room was fantastic!!!!! I was disapointed that the pool was shut during summer time for maintenance, bit ridiculous during hot season
very central and modern the architectural design and the colours are "peculiar" - all very dark... remembers the movie "Shining", just the child with the bicycle missing...quite expensive in general
Good staff, pleasant room and bathroom, generally well-run. There is some very bad art.
The breakfast was excellent, especially as compared to the Italian hotel 'standards'
It's modern and clean and maintains a high standard Not really
very spacious rooms, huge bed, comfy robes and slippers. great location close to shops and major piazzas
We had a brilliant stay at the hotel really pleased with the room and the location was brilliant, the balcony was a added bonus where we sat in evenings to watch the world go by. Breakfast was excellent with loads to choose from.
The location in the city center of Torino.Breakfast was good. Cleanliness was bad, especially the dust on the walls.Staff was too noisy when they started closing the breakfast room at 10 am. Price of the room 125€ is a little bit expensive regarding the offer.
good location with ease acess to many attraction areas no available bussiness office and no internet facility outside the room
Convenient location near the main train station in (Torino Porta Nuova) and on the edge of main city shopping and museum district Energetic staff willing to help Nice views from top floor rooms One staff member was new to the hotel and gave a number of wrong information details which caused us some issues, but she worked hard to correct the issues once discovered. Wireless internet was slow and disconnected frequently Have to put door keycard in slot once in room to turn on all all power and heating/cooling, so room was quite hot after returning from a day out and took quite a while to cool once returned - no way to have the AC on enough to keep it from getting super hot w/o leaving a key card in it all day long. Also unable to charge electronics when not there *everything turns off*. This was common in many rooms we used in Switzerland and Italy
I appreciated the friendly staff, good breakfast and great location. I was disappointed in the very expensive internet facilities and would recommend the hotelgroup to change this because it is a unnecessary negative.
Close location to the city centre, good breakfast and silence in the room.
Good location. Friendly staff
comfort/ budgets; regular breakfast/ perfect location for our main. no problems
Comfort and peace
the proximity of the hotel to the train station - it was important for me to get to the station as soon as i could in the morning, so this was very beneficial. There were hardly many advertisements on locals for medium priced to higher priced restaurants & pubs.
Very courteous staff. A few of them spoke English and those who did not tried to be responsive as possible Better restaurant hours. I only had breakfast there the restaurant was closed often. Comfort- the rooms were very cold and the heat did not adjust. The bathroom was warm. (smile)
The hotel is very comfortable. Its location made it possible for us to walk all around the central part of the city - we did not use the transport at all! The room was very comfortable, modern and really made us feel at home. The staff was professional and friendly, we received all the help we asked for. We have just completed our vacation in Italy, and this was undoubtedly one of the best hotels we stayed in. It is also rather inexpensive, especially compared with the hotels in the lakes' region, that are, from our experience, much less comfortable and significantly more expensive. We enjoyed this hotel greatly and were really sorry to leave.
The hotel is close to the downtown, quite enough, clean and it's easy to park the car Expensive extras
Location. No bars open.
Helpful hotel staff, safe and comfortable garage, good service, clean rooms. Location is not the best but fair close to the center
good location, nice staff, clean room, good breakfast, very quiet. A supermarket very close for different necesities. We would like to have restaurant for the lunch.
Internet connection for 14E total for the whole stay up to 15 days. Nice secured underground parking, however additional fee 10E per night. There's a food shop next to the hotel. There is an open terrace for breakfast, if weather is OK. Generally nice hotel for reasonable price, as for Italy. The location is not very good for sightseeing.
The people in the reception, were so helpful, kind and friendly.... The short walk to the city center was max 15 min... for us no problem, The parking was super if you have a car that is packed and do not want to take everything with you.
Nice and comfortable rooms. Great bathroom and mattresses. Includes parking place. Not close to city center, but taxi reacheable for 8 euros.
comfort of hotel,buffet free
Clean, Fiendly staff and central location.
Polite manner to guests no room internet connections, poor delivery of messages
Good location No iron available, lifts wereonly big enough for 2 people with little luggage. Bathroom was tiny, were told on arrival that restaurant closed at 11.30, when we went to order at 11.10 we were told it was closed.
Location and value for money.
Location Not four star level. No soul
The location and its proximity to Porta Susa is particularly important for train travellers. Via Cernaia, where it is located, is one of Torino's many colonnaded streets which is very useful when the weather is inclement, or even when it is very sunny, and is close to many cafés and restaurants. The weather, but the hotel cannot be responsible for that and its location mitigated the situation.
Very Central, next to trainb station and subway. Clean, Nice Staff, Would Stay Again
Conveniently located hotel with everything you need - including free WiFi.
The hotel is really well located. I was able to do early check-in at 11 a.m. There is free of charge mineral water in the minibar. For early leavers (before the breakfast starts) they offer coffee and snacks in the bar next to the lobby. The climate control in the room was extremely loud. I went to breakfast room some 20 min before the end time and notices that they just removed the empty plates instead of filling up them with additional food.
The Sky TV was in the room but not available for use.
Good value for money, very comfortable bed, big bathroom, all very clean. Away from city center, not a lot to do around if you are traveling with a young child.
it is far from the city center and there is not anything of interest around, specially when you travel with a little child.
Promimity to the Salone Del Gusto expo was perfect. We also had a three year old and the hotel was very accommodating even though the hotel is very much a business hotel. Breakfast being included was an added bonus and the free minibar in the room was a great surprise. We had no complaints.
Hotel was very clean and the staff did whatever they could to accommodate us.
Stylish room with good facilities. Having to move rooms twice due to problems. No drinks available after 11.00pm. Unhelpful night staff.
space in the room and high ceilings the breakfast was not very good.
The room was very nice and large and all the furniture are rather new tried to get a beer at midnight and all bars were already closed. Fridge in the room only had coke and juices.
The metro to the city centre was directly opposite the hotel. The view of the Alps from the room was amazing! Good breakfast selection. Lots of parking for cars. Modern room and bathroom design. Overall a great hotel, and would definitely stay there again. The aircon in the room did not work.
good breakfast but it was extra, great parking
Easy to find and close to Airport Lounge is a little too small and no atmosphere
business nature food, gym
Location was good for our trip. Rooms were of a high quality. Poor facilities, no cold beer in the bar and no coffee at breakfast! I think the hotel had just re-opened after a re-fit but if they were open for business I would expect the basics to be provided. Some of our party ordered breakfast in the room and it never arrived. Hopefully they will improve.
Location is convenient for my business contact and close to restaurants and shops
Good ambience, comfortable rooms and nice location.
Close to the underground and convenient for places of my interest. The reception and its staff.
tutto perfetto! value for money
The staff were extremely helpful, the rooms were very comfortable. We did however only use the hotel as a stopover close to the airport.
The hotel furniture is extremely new and closer to a 4 than a 3 star italian hotel The location and the surroundings are absolutely not the best one could imagine...
Ventliation system made some noise, also when it was turned off. In Italy (and also in this hotel) it is normal that beds do not have real blankets, however just a sheet and a general 'showblanket'. I really prefer a good blanket as is seen in northern Europe, but this is a personal thing of course.
Metro side by side the hotel.Very good breakfast! It was dark inside, the window was too small ...
Breakfast - Peace and quietness The area - far from the city centre
Staff is very friendly.
It was clean, comfortable and in the location I wanted to be They did not have a business center where you could access the internet etc.
A nice clean hotel at a good price.
Clean, close to the La Venaria Reale, simple to find, breakfast - fine, friendly staff
Comfortable hotel in a location convenient for concert venue. Room was clean and modern.
It's at the Lingotto!!! Chocolates in the room as it was our honeymoon. Reception staff excellent. Not a hotel for holidays more set up for business users.
Rooms are quite spatious, as well as the bathroom, parking comfortably located TV is quite old
Style and service lack of restaurant options and no leisure facilities
Nice historical building, beautifully redesigned
Well decorated,good breakfast,helpful staff...
great Hotel in a great location with an extremely professional and friendly staff
The room was huge but too warm. We had to open the windows to cool the place down. We only booked because of the use of the building for the Italian Job film. Didn't realise the location was a fair walk to the Piazza's. No reference to the film in the hotel reception or any of the literature in the room. We did ask for access to the roof and this was not a problem.
Being able to walk on the roof and actually be in the Fiat Factory Parking, access from car park to hotel with heavy bags was poor.
Some "non-smoking" rooms are used by smokers. The hotel staff appeared to be unaware of this
the young lady at the reception on saturday morning was exquisite - her manners and communication skills should make your hotel proud - you are very lucky of having her with you
Very clean, Recent hotel, modern design, comfortable room, nice bathroom! Parking available. Excellent breakfast
It is a modern hotel with good standards and typical facilities for a 4 star, the room and bathroom were clean and the staff very polite. nothing
Very nice hotel, beautiful district, and the best cuisine in Italy :)
good value for money... breakfast was of a good continental standard... staff were helpful a bit basic in the rooms... but you cant really expect too much for the price! also not in the best of neighbourhoods
Resturant was excellet.
Very good and friendly support by staff Public transport / accessibility not sufficiently well explained (you can take a bus 72 from the city center or from Madonna di Campagna (intersection with train from airport))
out looking of hotel is not so bad. in fact.. there is nothing special.
The man who assisted us at the check-in was so helpful and accommodating. The overall feel and look of the hotel was excellent and I would love to return. The staff, the entire experience - wonderful! The only complaint I had was that I booked 3 rooms and when I booked them they said they all had a balcony, but when we arrived only 1 room had a balcony. Otherwise, everything else was super.
The room was excellent. Very clean. Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. I will reside again in the hotel for sure. Not really, however if they improve on the english breakfast it would be nice. That is, although they offer english breakfast, however sometimes it is not 'hot' enough.
Near Porta Susa Train Station Clean room Good breakfast Helpful, friendly staff Bed/pillows not so comfortable Slight smell in room Older decor Tiny shower
Location, staff friendliness
Excellent location, fair price / quality ratio
The friendly helpful staff and the position so close to the railway station.
Hotel located very close to the airport bus route. Pleasant staff. Rooms clean and well maintained. Not a very central location. No tea/coffee making facility provided.
Friendly staff an for Italy they offer a satisfiable breakfast Coffee at breakfast for Italy pretty worse
Hotel staff is really kind and they helped me a lot. Spacious room, very clean bathrooms and very central location (just 1 min walk from Porta Susa station where there is the stop of airport bus lines also. I definitely suggest this hotel.
Location Everything was OK.
Space, bathroom No internet in the room
The fact that I could have my dog with me in my room. The breakfast was mediocre.
The hotel was very convenient for Turin's Porta Susa station which was directly opposite. We had a large room and once we had asked for softer pillows it was comfortable and quiet. Although old fashioned this hotel was very good value for money and the breakfast was excellent.
the very easy reach of the palacio olimpico using the tram 10 there is a helistation onto the roof, which could be quite surprising when used to land and to takeoff at night (not to often for heaven'sake !!)
I couldn't speak highly enough of the staff - really helpful and friendly. Apartment was great; spacious and very well equipped. Amazing value for money. Breakfast great. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone.
Nice room that felt like a room of a house rather than a hotel. Better signage about where to find breakfast, local trams etc. I found this in the lift on the last day. (I try to use the stairs when I can)
Spacious rooms, kitchenette in the room, very friendly and helpful staff, good buffet breakfast location is so so but there is a tram in front of the hotel going straight to the city center
nice, friendly staff there is no hotel bar or hotel restaurant, however there is a nice cafe nearby
Hotel staff friendly and ready to help. Free wi-fi. Ample parking nearby. The studio apartment was very spacious. Value for money. The hotel is 10 mins by tram from Torino centre and 10 mins also from Stadio Olimpico.
The price. Plus breakfast was quite good Area. Room very small. No air-coditioning.
The hotel was decent all around. The staff were very nice and responded to all needs. Bus station very close and you could buy the tickets at the reception. I went for a conference for 4 days and this hotel was suitable for me to come back and rest. The price was some of the cheapest I could find for a 3-star hotel and I feel like I got the value for money. All in all this was a good choice for me. The food at breakfast wasn't the best, but acceptable nonetheless. Not much of a view outside the room, but wasn't really an issue for me. The internet in the room was ok, although not very high speeds.
Nothing special, everything was just fine, how it has to be. I just was unlucky - one of wooden supports of the mattres was broken about in the middle of the bed...
All personnel; breakfast; price Delays attending to requests (change light bulb); parking when church next door has services; faulty TV remote control
Very friendly and proffesional staff, always willing to help The breakfast could have been more varied than just bread products
The staff were extremely friendly, the shower was fabulous & the beds were the comfiest I've ever slept on in a hotel! No
The Reception was very friendly and helpful None
Helpful staff, and friendly. Great location: close to downtown, bars & good restaurants
location & friendly staff bed was a little old
I found the central location very convenient and liked the fact that a buffet breakfast was included my room rate.
Very central location - amazing room with sweeping staircase. Great architecture. Very good value for money. Beds left a lot to be desired - appeared to be very cheap and old.
Decor was cute, staff friendliness The chair broke in the room when I tried to sit on it. Facilities may need some attention.
The street the Hotel was on was very noisy - Saturday Night revellers until 5.30am Sunday
Liked the location. Beds were very comfortable. Quaint boutique style hotel. Quiet at night. Did not like breakfast. No eggs and limited cold cuts. Advertised as buffet breakfast but more continental style.
Location was very good.
convenient, clean-helpful staff
The staff were very friendly and helpful and the themed rooms were an experience! It's a bit too far from the centre; 15min walk to the train station and then another 10-15min walk to the centre of town.
close to the train station and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The reception staff where not very helpful.
Friendly staff, good breakfast in a quiet residential area Room was a bit small. Whilst not really a problem it is a good 20 minutes walk from Airport bus stop and main points of interest
Great atmosphere, comfortable rooms with terrace on the top floor, and of course the sheer style A bit remote from the city centre, but manageable
We book two double rooms. One was fair the other one was quite small. In addition, one room was in the sixth floor and the other one in the fourth floor, which was not convenient as a family. However, we were happy otherwise. The size of one of the double rooms, which actually had a size for a single room.
The stuff is very helpful. On the day the restaurants generally closed, they did call few and found one for us. I forgot the passport in the room and they rushed it with a car free of charge to the airport. The breakfast could have more choices of food. The room floor was not clean. The low floors could get noise from the patio, which is bar extension.
Location, design and staff Poor Breakfast, and bad ( and not free) Internet connection
Very helpful staff when we arrived and generally during our stay. We had asked for a quiet room and were allowed to check two alternatives out to see which suited us best. Quiet location, parking available and convenient (at extra charge). Very nice ambience in the hotel generally. Although a touch small our room was bright, well equipped, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Good restaurant attached to the hotel; good breakfast. The hotel is slightly out of the centre which meant we had to take a short taxi or tram ride into town.
Very good design and variability of ambiance. It is simply not acceptable that internet access is paid. But if it's paid it is even worse if we take into consideration the plans available. 15 Euros per 24 hours (continuous access! - so it will switch off after 24 hours even if you only used 2 hours), 10 Euros for 4 hours.
comfort of rooms, central position of hotel
friendly reception staff, nice room, large selection at breakfast The bathroom was a bit old and not as nice as the room. It would have been nice to have a make-up mirror in the bathroom. Also the door knob on the bathroom door was different than any I've ever seen. If you close the bathroom door, you cannot open it without pushing a button on the door knob even if it's not locked! I spent 15 minutes in the bathroom trying to figure out how to get out. I should have told the reception, but I forgot about it. It would be a good idea to have a sign on the inside of the door. The breakfast was very nice but the room was very small. The staff is trained to clear the tables immediately because the room is so small and when we got up to get more food our table was cleared and almost given to someone else.
The free breakfast was terrific and featured gluten free bread and pastry. The bed was comfortable and the price was right.
The hotel was in a very handy location to the shops, cafe's & restaurants, they were all within walking distance of the hotel. Also the room was very nicely furnished and clean and the internet was very easy to access in the room.
It is a great hotel with a perfect location central in Turin. The breakfast is very nice. So was the room with a comfy bed that had a duvet and not only blankets. I had booked a single room but they upgraded me to a delux double room free of charge. There was only few non-italian tv stations and they were all either sports- or news channels.
Lovely hotel, very clean with large rooms, staff excellent air con not too good and hot/warm water not in much suply
Very large comfortable room, excellent facilities, more 5 star than 4 star.
comfortable and warm room. The bed was a bit hard
There is no parking to bring bags to the room.
The hotel was really comfortable and nicely appointed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. In the middle of the Red Light District! Felt a little uncomfortable when returning to the hotel in the evening.
Very near to the center of City, good decor No hot food for the breakfast
Staff (Wilma) were very helpful in directing us to restaurants and parking facilities.
location was close to everything.
good facilities and a very large room. however the location is not in a nice neighbourhood, but that's par for the course
The reception tried her best to serve the clients. It took us 2 days to talk to the hotel reception that our room did not have air conditioning. Finally, they send someone to fix it. But it did not work.
Cosy atmosphere - hotel not too big, friendly staff.
Lovely staff, good location
Very friendly and helpful at reception. Comfortable and clean room. Hotel conveniently located (5 minute tram ride from Via Po). Parking very close.
Very friendly staff, very nice hotel, good location.
The hotel is within the city centre and therefore close to main attractions.
Very Good Hotel in a great location with a the appropriate Italian city style. The staff were English speaking, very friendly and helpful. We had an most enjoyable stay. Our room was smart and clean, though starting to look a bit tired. The air-conditioning worked, just, but was old and a bit noisy. The public areas of the hotel are very classy and in good order. Very nice breakfast buffet, plenty of choice, though the toaster was a bit iffy.
Effective air conditioning during very hot weather
Very much! comfortable and home autmosphere
amazing room, spacious, very nice breakfast, nice staff.
The location is excellent just a 5 minute walk to Piazza San Carlo which is stunning, the Hotel itself is beautiful and offers an excellent selection at Breakfast, the Fantastic staff at Hotel Genova are very warm and always more than happy to help, we would definetely stay there again. Grazie
Very nice location, good facilities, authentic, clean, well kept rooms, good breakfast. AC system is centrally operated, Italian standards concerning hot and cold differ from mine.
The hotel is conveniently central close to the main train station at walking distance from all interesting places. Staff is very helpful and professional. Getting there by car can be puzzling. The hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Of course breakfast cannot compete with what you get at one of the many beautiful cafes in town.
Nice location, recently renovated hotel, atmosphere of luxury Poor breakfast, no fresh food, everything sealed in plastic. And most important: the hotel has a system where the airconditioning only starts to work in the evening. During the day it gets very hot.
