Pros: The hotel was beautiful and the rooms were modern and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The included breakfast was very delicious, and the restaurant (which we ate at for dinner one night), while not the cheapest in Selcuk, was just as delicious. The location is walkable to the main area of the town, St. John's Basilica, and the Ephesus Museum. You will need transportation to the actual ancient city of Ephesus site and the House of the Virgin Mary though.

Pros: This was my favorite accommodation in Turkey!! The staff and sweet hotel dog, Argos, made us feel like long-time friends staying at the hotel. Not only were the rooms magnificent, but the views, food and wine from the restaurant, and beautiful items in the downstairs shops all exceeded expectations. The #1 reason I would come back is to spend more time with the hospitable and friendly staff though!

Pros: The dormitory was nice with warm comfortable beds. The hostel has a perfect location, the bus terminal is just across the road, the museum is just next door, walkable or shortly by bus to Ephesus ruins. There are supermarkets and restaurants options nearby, but the hostel also comes with a nice restaurant with outdoor seating in the courtyard. The breakfast was good. To my surprise the owner speaks Cantonese, and is very friendly and welcoming. She gave recommendations spontaneously upon my arrival.

Pros: The staff Zafar was excellent host. The hotel location. The breakfast area. The breakfast. Room too was good. Everything was perfect. Also the restaurant next building (staff Safa) had real good food and provided us with good hospitality.

8.0
Pros: Location - nearby the ruins of aqueduct remained from Byzantine and Basilica of St. John. Besides, there is lot of local restaurant (Seçkin Firuze Restaurant is nice) along it. Walking distance to most of the attraction. The staff also recommend us to hike to Ephesus (~4km) as may enjoy the scenery on road side. Friendliness - the staff/ owner is friendly. A big smile with Hi even when we met them on the street. We accidentally dropped the hand phone on a taxi and they help us to get in touch with the driver and get it back. Some room may have a smaller room and shower space so i think may remark or request during the reservation. For our case, the staff actually offer us a room with 3 beds instead of 2 but we turn it down as we would like our room to be close to each other. The dining area is simple but nice (good for photo shooting too i think). And, I like the floor tiles of the reception area.

Good reverse cycle air conditioner too! Suggest that you catch the mini bus to Ephesus every 20- 30 minutes from the bus station. Only a short distance and 4 lira. If you are on a longer trip I wouldn’t bother with a guided tour. Easy site to find your own way around. The bus drops you at the bottom gate, so enter and exit from here. The museum is excellent too! The breakfast is good and the cost in the off season is very reasonable.

Cons: The hotel is located a little uphill. We have to drag the luggage uphill but in a short distance from main street.

Pros: Near to the train station and bus station
Cons: I stayed in the hotel in Nov, which was a little bit cold. The hot water was not functioning very well. It took times to heat up the water. Apart from that, the room could only be locked by electronic lock without additional security door lock. Someone managed to open our room door using the access card. I felt unsafe throughout the night. Luckily it was just for a night staying.

Cons: The hotel needs a little explanatory guide in each room with breakfast times, use of the terrace etc. Probably brief instructions on how to get to Ephesus by mini bus too The beds need a top sheet as the bedding provided was very rough and scratchy. The roughest in 5 weeks in Turkey. The floor of each room could do with a couple of mats as the floor is made of stone. Probably travertine!

Pros: There was a full Turkish breakfast including had boiled eggs, served on a balcony which overlooks the plain leading to the Artemision and Ephesus. Beautiful views in the morning and at sunset. We were not driving - but it is easy to find on foot from the station or bus station. For anyone driving, it has the advantage of easy parking without having to go into the old quarter as it is on the edge of the town. Selcuk is a pleasant market town and has a spectacular Saturday market. Ephesus is less than 10 minutes on the minibus from the bus station. There are good bars and coffee shops on the same street -Anton Kallinger Caddesi.

Pros: The owners and staff are friendly and are happy to help. The roof top terrace has a beautiful view for sunset and is the perfect spot to start your day. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. Location is great - it’s super close to St. John Church and an older Mosque (no loud prayer calls when we were there, though). This is a great family run guesthouse. We would stay here again!

Pros: It was the best breakfast ( the watermelon, cheese, jam) ever, everything was just yummy. Our room had a really nice balcony and the view was amazing. But overall, the staff in everything. I forgot my new jacket in the hotel and realized about it the next day. They were so nice that helped me and send the jacket to the provided address in Istanbul!!! I totally recommend this place also because it is very well located.

Pros: Situated in the "Old Town" close to St. John's Basilica. Quiet neighbourhood, pleasant to walk around. Friendly Host.
Cons: The shower was tiny, no door, so water sprayed all over the floor. Only a hand shower, difficult to shower with only one hand. Breakfast was mediocre, but sufficient.

Pros: Surrounding of balcony and house is vantage and charming. The reception girl is helpful, kind but I wish she can communicate in English. Local tours booked by the hotel is good, tourist guide explanation is professional except they simply change or omit itinerary without earlier notification.
Cons: I join the hotel arranged local tour but they cancel one of the itinerary without informing me earlier (trip to Sirince which may take at least 2 hour)but compensate me a little bit only (with entrance ticket to St John Church). My one day trip should end at 4pm but that day it end at 2pm. 2 hours earlier but compensate only with 18TL for that two hours (which initially include tourist guide, transportation and visit a Greek village which is an hour drive away from Selcuk)
6.0 Good
Pros: Near bus station and a few markets
Cons: Facilities are inaccessible, kitchen areas are off limits for guests. Rooms are very cold. And breakfast is not filling and overpriced

Pros: The room was beautifully decorated and breakfast tasty. They accommodated our request to change rooms to a less noisy spot. They were helpful with questions and information and the staff were friendly.
Cons: There were no coffee/tea making amenities in the room. If you wanted a warm refreshment you had to order it from reception at an additional cost. They never disclosed that it came at an additional cost and we only found out we were being charged at check out when presented with a bill. On the breakfast tables and according to the pictures on their booking.com profile they advertise restaurant facilities but this has been closed down. They need to update their information to properly inform prospective guests as these are considerations one takes into account when choosing accomodation.
