The hotel is just off the main road, 30 seconds from the bus stop and well signed posted. The rooms are spacious and our balcony was facing the sun. Check out time was excellent 12pm Nothing
Location, modern design of rooms and common areas Coffee served at breakfast, there was no safety deposit box in the room, although it was advertised, shower cabin was leacking
Loved the location Breakfast was poor, coffee was bad, selection was poor
location and breakfast there isn't parking space at the hotel,it is a wrong information hotels web site .Parking is nearby but not belong the hotel.the recepsionist didn't helpfull about parking.
It is a perfect hotel for a weekend trip. The breakfasts are famous, the heartbeat of the city is well felt in this hotel.
Close to city center Reception attention need to improve
I got a good promotion. My room was upgraded (two singles instead of one twin). The hotel is well located. I got a very good recommendation for a restaurant from the staff. The parking is not very convenient as there is no connection with the hotel. Also, I was not expecting I would have to pay for parking. This information should be available at the website. If the information was there, it should be made more visible.
Parking facility not so convenient----perhaps it's common with all big city.
location the room - too small and I have been pre-charged by booking.com
price, location, breakfast, internet would like free wifi throughout the hotel
Good location, quite clean. In general the hotel is good. only minor drawbacks: Wi-Fi is not free, and there is no alternative as the coverage of 3G in the hotel is rather poor (you can get it only near the window). I personally never care about breakfast, but this time it was included in the rate so I tried it, and it was not the best I could imagine - it is much better to go out for a coffee. Perhaps needs a little renovation?
Excellent, central, great value and very clean.
Service and comfort Breakfast was limited, and the same line up every day, with poor service. Not sure what the waiters where doing.
Beautiful hotel! The setting is romantic and luxurious. Service was adequate. Make sure you complete your transportation research before you get there. The staff was not very helpful with that part. If your airport is in Palermo, the bus only costs 8.5 euros. The staff recommended taxi, which costs appx 50 euros. Other than that, it's a must see hotel.
Location Super dated, extremely dirty carpet throughout with many old old stains. Whole hotel feels like it needed a major renovation perhaps 10 years ago. Hauntedtly empty and felt dustry throughout.
Nice room, generous breakfast, good location, beautiful decor all around the Hotel, Staff at reception could have been a bit friendlier. One would also expect staff in a Hotel of that calibre to speak English. Only 1 of them did.
location, ambiance all ok
Very attractive design, history and tradition. Excellent service, restaurant, breakfast. Good location. Price is enough high for small room.
one o f the best we have found bottle opener with mini bar
It position within the City Following a number of requests for details relating to information needed they were found to be very poor in responce to e-mail
The best part was breakfast
An old fashion comfortable well sited place. Beautiful dining and breakfast places.
Breakfast was poor... One guest mentioned that previously egg dishes were served. Staff was not so friendly, except one reception lady.
The public spaces are grand, and my room was spacious, well furnished and comfortable, even for three adult and sophisticated who visited. Do not miss the room where the complimentary breakfast (quite complete and good, with a wonderful Maitre D') that could double as a Grand Ballroom. The staff, particularly at the Front Desk, was polite, gracious, pleasant and helpful. All this said, my experience mat be a bit skewed by the fact that, while am an American, my family is of Italian origin and spoke to the staff in Italian, but I suspect other guests had similarly good experiences. I will be returning to the hotel at the end of the week for three more nights, and expect to have another very nice experience. You will here from me again only if it is not that way. There was nothing I did not like about the hotel. On the other hand, it has been more than 15 years since I last travelled to the UK or Europe, and I was surprised, and not in a nice way, by the number of people, from all over, who believe the flip flops, shorts, and T shirts are appropriate attire in public spaces of nice hotels.
Very comfortable and nicely appointed hotel. Good value and great location. We had two spacious rooms. Nice breakfast and view from the terrace. Breakfast is O.K. but limited. No fresh juice (all from the package...)
Comfortable room, superb breakfast with a view over the rooftops to the mountains, but the highlight was the fantastic spa. Some street noise but it didn't bother us.
The restaurant on the 4th floor is excellent! The included breakfast is lovely. Very accomadating regarding special dietary needs. No ability to make coffee/tea in the room
Location and friendly staff. Room was excellent. No complaints
Extremely modern and compact boutique hotel, small but up-market interior. Staff at reception were extremely courteous and helpful. The great disappointment with this hotel is it location, with its entrance in the middle of a dark lane. One suspects that this may be addressed in time with adjoining development but it is currently very off-putting and not conducive to venturing out at night by foot. Palermo itself felt very dirty and swarmy at the time of our visit and hotel is located in a quarter which needs uplifting. Breakfast selection was poor and meagre and would need to be upgraded to match overall ambiance and up-market quality of room specification. Therefore some reservation in recommending it at present though no fault with hotel room itself or its staff.
Very comfortable hotel not too far from the centre of town. Good sized room well fitted-out, with a nice firm bed. Loved the rooftop breakfast room and good breakfast buffet spread.
A small boutique Hotel in the old quarter of Palermo. Fresh and contemporary design, and very helpful staff. Our room had a very large bed. Breakfast was served until 11.00 - also a bonus for us! There are a number of building sites in the area, and these begin work at about 6.30 am. We would have liked a sofa in our room or at least two comfortable chairs. The reception had sofas where one could sit and read, so that was OK although not ideal.
It is clean and comfortable with value for money. Its location is very convenient. We have stayed three times and are booked to return again soon. The staff are friendly and great breakfast. No.
clean, well designed, quiet, comfortable, most staff was very good Palermo still has a ways to go, especially regarding trash and cleanliness - but the hotel has nothing to do with it - it only suffers.
The hotel is in an ancient convent. Staff is helpful and speaks English. Stylish bar and a nice garden. Location is great.
great location, lovely gardens nearby plus the seaside feel. Fabulous bedroom and bathroom, lovely staff. The hotel was an absolute gem and would not hesitate to recommend it to both business and couples. Nothing to dislike
That you can reach a lot of the highlights of Palermo in some minutes without car or bus. breakfast was too poor
Location, room size, price Staff not always available, breakfast at adjacent cafe was only one pastry and one coffee (i.e. minimal)
convenient location no wifi. internet service provided in hotel lobby was very slow. no mini bar in room.
Central location, safety there was sand on the the floor in our room during all 3 days we stayed there
They had a private parking garage, double glazed windows which helped with the street noise, and they were a short block off the main street. Staff did not understand limited winter hours of local jump on and off bus that she sold me and consequently it was a useless 20 Euro expenditure.
Excellent staff. Exactly as described. Very convenient. Breakfast was smaller than other hotels but having custom cappuccino complely made up for any other shortcoming.
Its proximity to the Teatro Massimo
We travel usually by trains, buses and public transport so the location of the hotel was convenient for us. Our room (No.212) was clean and quiet. Staff was very friendly - our special thanks to Vito. No disadvantages from our point of view.
quaint and friendly. good value.
clean room; parking hidden behind the hotel with additional dedicated elevator; continental breakfast was also good; Internet connection for a reasonable price.
The shower head was very unconfortable. It could not be adjusted and it was simply spraying water all over except the places you wanted. The shower cord was touching the water taps which resulted in fluctuating temperature water. My suggestion is to replace the water taps with mono-command batteries and to put a decent shower head. It's so unexpensive and yet it can be such a pain.
It was close to family in Palermo Noise from the street, decor needs to be updated, breakfast choices need to be improved, ie; soy milk, fresh fruit, whole grain cerial fresh vegetables
excelent staff. confortable and clean rooms. free parking. close to port. good value for money. not far from city center, but you need aprox.15 min. by car, taxi or bus.
Sight Seeing from the room. Water smelled.
Parking, restaurant, bar Internet did not work in rooms. Bathroom had mold. Hallway rug needed cleaning. Hotel rooms could use updating.
its position which was near the meeting place early morning noise due to nearby market
It's rather dated, the decor could be updated, not a 4star hotel in my opinion.
The location. However, to be fair, we had only booked an additional night at the end of a coach tour trough Sicily. Location not really suitable for tourists; better for business.
close vicinity to port, cheap internet changing room rates, internet rextension of stay 20€ per night cheaper as via counter, worn out room, only 1 working wall socket
good location - impressive facilities air conditioning was deficient
Nice building. Location away from city in a boat repair dock; Room looked tired and worn, complete with a damp smell from carpets. Plumbing was questionable with inconsistent availability of hot water. Given the price for this hotel, it's not awful, but certainly not up to the standard.
Facilities, garden and very friendly staff. A hotel of charm and character. Rather erratic housekeeping and maintenance on international standards, but good for Sicily.
The hotel, the room, the personnel are all excellent. The fitness room was not very well equipped, the taxis of the hotel tend to apply higher rates, the snack menu was very limited despite the fact that the hotel is rather far away from the city.
Really an excellent hotel, I would recommend this to anyone travelling to Palermo for holidays. We had a small problem upon arrival (we had booked a room with a balcony and we got a room without one), but overall it was a great experience.
The facilities of the hotel were very good the pool area and gardens were beautiful and very well maintained. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We had two excellent evening meals at the hotel's restaurant and the breakfasts were equally good with a very wide choice of dishes. Given the position and standard of this hotel I would have expected a shuttle service to the centre of Palermo.
Everything was perfect! A little far from town, but there is a free shuttle, so no problem.
facilities and food I got the worst room - def the worst view. room 216 leads to an internal wall. asked about moving, response was i paid for a cheap room...
The staff were so helpful. Recommended Restaurants that were wonderful but not expensive. The decor and location was beautiful, all your personal needs were thought of. They even turned down your bed at night. I have a bad back and asked for an additional quilt to soften the mattress. Two maids arrived with two additional quilts and insisted on making up the bed for me. The hotel restaurant was quite expensive and limited if you don't like fish.
location Noisy at night .
rather near to the centre The furniture is too 'cold' and so were the staff; not particularly helpful. They never did one step more. No hospitality demonstrated
Really nice staff! The rooms are nice and comfy. Breakfast is not really diverse but it taste good and was fine
The location near palermo's main piazza, pedestrian malls and fine restaurants made for a wonderful if short stay.
Great hotel! In some rooms the street noise is very disturbing. Our friends stayed in rooms 107 and 108: great! We stayed in suite 414: lousy windows, so a lot of noise, really, a lot!
Our room included a small balcony featuring a fantastic view of the downtown area, Mount Peligrino, and a peek of the Port. Mossimo very kindly produced a platter of ham, vegetables and fruit for us one evening when my daughter and husband were feeling ill and weren't up to going out to eat. In our 3-person suite, the TV in the 3rd person's room was not working; the shower doors were crooked and couldn't be adequately lined up and only one shower head was working. Also, my daughter felt the sofa bed was very uncomfortable and not what she was expecting.
Cleanliness of room, complimentary water on arrival in room. Great early check in and late check out. Quiet despite location, too. No bad points for this hotel, perhaps would have been nice to have a bathrobe and one bottle of water each rather than just one.
Location and parking facilities were good. Good breakfast. Very nice and modern room + bathroom. Most of Palermo toerist visiting points within walking range. Staff helpful and speak good English. Good value for money.
The location was good, the ratio price/quality was excelent, there was a parking of the hotel. Everything was fine.
Good location with a free garage. Our room was located on the road side and it was very noisy at night (the room is renovated but not the windows..).
Central location in the old town of the city. Very nice reception desk staff.
convenience & comfort
The balconies they have in each room. A nice break. The rooms were basic, good but not wow. The breakfast was pretty unimpressive!
The ambience and location of the hotel. Staff were very helpful, especially the bar staff. We loved our stay there; it was one of the best hotels we stayed in during three weeks' travel around Italy. The water pressure in our shower on the 4th was inadequate.
Nice room. Not very big with nice terrace. Very good breakfast. Globally a beautiful classic hotel. Thw water wasn't draining away in the shower. Some ventilation problem in the room.
Staff at desk. Very inpolite and unhelpful.
Friendly helpful staff. Convenient central location
Beautiful roof terrace, room was comfortable and bigger than expected. Bath was dirty and shower pressure was very weak.
The location was excellent for sightseeing. The hotel was quite beautiful and the breakfast was very good. The staff was not particularly helpful or friendly. The hotel was attractive but not particularly enticing or comfortable. Our room was substandard dark and dreary.
Breakfast ! We have a ruine house front of the windows...!!
Helpful reception and breakfast staff. Central location. It was noisy with bulding work in the light well commencing at 6.45 AM by throwing bricks into a wheelbarrow. We were in room 508. Also pillows were rock hard.
We like the room which is good value for the price. It seems recently renovated and it's nice to have high ceiling. The terrace at the top where we had breakfast is really nice. The hotel is hard to get to. We got stuck in a traffic jam in center of town. There's so many one way streets and we got lost many times. The parking garage is not exactly close by. Inside the room, the shower door does not close properly and the drain is slow. That was a bit annoying.
Short walk from the train/bus station. Close to restaurants and sights. Great views from the rooftop restaurant. Room was a good size. Bathroom is a little cramped. Shower only. Wifi can be a little spotty during busy times. Saturday night can be a little bit noisy from the bars outside, but no problems other times.
A good location besides train station There are PUBs nearby the hotel and it is noisy at night!!
The roof terrace was lovely with amazing views over the city. The hotel was in a central position with easy access to the train station. The staff were really friendly and helpfull.
The position of the hotel is convenient for the major sights and transport. The view from the roof while we had breakfast was breathtaking We got back to the hotel late and a machine selling hot or cold drinks would have been welcome as the mini bar was empty
The staff is awesome - they went out of their way to help with our special requests and multiple change of plans Nothing
Close to Stations. Panorama from terrace
The staff was just superb. Friendly, helpful and always available. The roof top lounge was a real treat with stunning views of the old city. We enjoyed it for breakfast and wine in the evening. Our room was lovely, small fridge, very nicely appointed. Great location for exploring the markets, port and other important sites in old Palermo.
convenient location near to station and main tourist sites, great roof terrace for breakfast/evening drinks, friendly and helpful staff Some noise at night from street bars.
The Hotel's location and was impressed by its cleanliness
We enjoyed everything, the hotel, the staff is excellent.
Food was okay. Staff were very helpful when our dates changed at both ends of our trip due to fog in London and Alitalia strike. Restaurant flooded when it rained. Rooms were outside, so got wet going into hotel and paths flooded. TV only Italian, no Sky as advertised except Italian films. Location was poor.
We (family of 3 people) stayed in the hotel 6 nights in the beginning of Sept 2010. Park and the premises of the hotel are pretty nice. Personnel is English speaking. Good location: between city center and Mondello beach. Car parking place is good. Rooms and furniture are old. I the room we found 4 technical problems during 5 first minutes of accomodation. Breakfast is shame for Italy. The hotel area located within a block of tall usual buildings and view around is nightmare. Hotel complex is neighbouring or having some villa where during 3 evenings were held different parties crowded with guests and live music which sounded till 1:00 a.m.
Large room for 4 persons, children had their own part. Garden was gorgious in the morning Breakfast served in a blind room in the pavement. Such a pity given the garden.
Food very good and room outstanding No
Hotel's location is not the best, although the bus connection to the town is very good.
very friendly people + good location the rooms were very old and not renovated - the furniture and bathroom could be refurbished
I liked the surounding, nice garden around.
You have a beautiful restaurant. With a good selection of quality food at modest prices.
Space in rooms, Free Parking was not available as advertised
Very good value for money, perfect location (in ther heart of the city), kind staff and very good breakfast. Maybe a little bit noisy in the morning when staff clean rooms from the upper floor.
Central location, cleanliness and good breakfast No
Situation near station, airy clean rooms, nice breakfast
Location. The room we had bookined for our friend had a shower that did not work well. Hotel adjusted the price for him.
The breakfast The worst night ever. Via Roma is a highway at night, therefore, impossible to sleep. The old mattress with the feeling of spring that gets into your skin does not help the situation. The bathroom, covered with mold and hair was just disgusting. I do not understand how customers can leave good comments about this hotel. The price is not worth the effort, believe me!
Good location, close to Palermo Central rail station. Staff helpful and friendly. Room was on the small side.
Location; Helpful, friendly staff - we were able to leave our luggage after checking out to collect later; Full of character - loved the lift! but with modern facilities and comfort; Good breakfast;
Very friendly and helpful staff. Great breakfast. Excellent location. Beds are very soft.
Great location, close to main station and shopping area
Location was very good, 400 yards from the main central train station in Palermo. We stayed in room 14 where the window faced a brick wall. No air supply into the room and although the rooms are advised to be soundproof they are not. The rooms don't have proper doors and you can see into the corridor through the crack in the door. Room was dusty and not cleaned properly. Only one very dangerous plug socket to use between the two of us, which the TV and lamps where also plugged into with an adapter. Bathroom very old and dated not very comforting. Hotel didn't advise that a school group would be staying in room 15 on our last night so was very noisy.
The location was very nice. Very close to the traing station Easy access to all the attrications . Close to restaurants and staff Was awesome. The Shower was very small.
It is situated just opposite the dock of the ferries we arrived on. The hotel staff was very forthcoming. The hotel restaurant on the top floor gives a superb view of the harbour. We had a spacious 4 bed room.
Really nice view from the breakfast - terrace on the port. Great value for money if you consider that it's a 4* hotel. It looks that the hotel was 30 years ago probably almost 5*, nowadays it's great value for money. I have no special complaints. No parking though.
location of the hotel is comfortable for me to go for the event and city trip
very good situated, down town it looks like they where trying to save some money with taking out the air-condition all the time, in the middle of night, in the midst of the day and so on, when complaint, it was ok. for some hours, but then started again...
Though the rooms are basic the view of the maritime port from the roof terrace was very enjoyable. Breakfast was good and the staff were friendly.
Not a lot but the staff were very good and could not do enough for us. The decor is tired and needs brightening up. The room windows were filthy. The restaurant served Sea Bass with bones in it and the scales mixed with the fish. At breakfast we were expected to drink poor quality orange juice out of plastic beakersand in the room only cheap plastic beakers are provided instead of glasses which is poor for this standard of hotel.
The room was clean The air condition was very noisy and didn't work properly.
No free Internet use
Location Surprisingly poor breakfast buffet
The staff were very friendly. This did not appear to be a 4* hotel. The bar had tablecloths and was not welcoming. The restaurant shut at 21:00 hrs. We moved out after two nights because of the loud banging of water pipes in the ceiling vent of the bathroom from about 22:00 hrs - 01:00 hrs and which started again at 05:30 hrs. Other guests we spoke to on the 5th floor had the same problem. Happily, the hotel did not charge us a cancellation fee and appeared to be aware there was a problem with the plumbing. The sea view was over the docks with noisy ferries and not at all what we expected. This is a convenience hotel and ideal for people travelling by boat.
it was directly in the center of whats considered to be the safer area close to most everything and more important - the airport bus the only thing i didn't like is they don't make decent coffee or have eggs or cheese with their continental breakfast
price and location The breakfast was poor which is "normal" at most cheap italian hotels.
Friendly and helpful staff, spacy rooms (the ones at the corners of the building), very good location in Palermo to reach all parts of the city. Internet WiFi (to be paid extra but at a reasonable rate) was during the daytime in overload, frequent disconnetings. Better get a room close to the lift (here it works better)
Nothing 1. Front desk guys lacked customer service skills. They were rude and unwelcoming. 2. Overall appearance of hotel looks old and dirty. It would benefit from major renovations. The furnishings, fixtures and decor were outdated, the bed was uncomfortable. the bed spread looked old and dinghy. 3. Thank goodness we stayed only 1 night.
The hotel is excellent and in a prime location
Location, Breakfast, Comfort We had a problem with the air conditioning. We had to keep asking them to turn it down in our room - which they can control - however every morning it was back up to 26c. Also if your room is located on the ground floor the noise from the street is atrocious- I know this is a large city, however no attemps to mask the noise were made. This is not a 5 star, at best it is a 3 - 4 star hotel
exceptionally good service (including handling a complicated change of booking); superb health/beauty centre; large and comfortable room; delicious breakfast; great location (close to airport bus and range of restaurants, bars, cafes) - all round one of the best hotels I've stayed in.
Location We were early in the season so lot not yet open, e.g. roof bar
The staff was exceptionally helpful. When we ran into a problem with our atm card some days after we checked out, the staff went far out of their way to help make facilities available to help us sort out the problem. I would never choose a different hotel in Palermo. It'll always be the gh Wagner.
Central location; comfortable rooms
Location Street outside a bit noisy
Friendly and helpful staff, great location, very good facilities.
very well situated in central Palermo; helpful staff; worthy of 5 stars.
The staff was wonderful and very helpful. The rooms were very clean and comfortable.
a medium hotel with quite good location
Modern and V. clean. Yasteful restoration.
Lovely room and helpful staff. Stylish boutique hotel with great bathrooms A little far away from the centre of palermo
Very friendly hotel. When we got there they upgraded us to bigger room that was excellent for the same price. Close to city centre but by the car In order to get in and out of the parking you had to ring the bell and give your room details every time..but that is not so serious "problem"
room & bathroom are spacious and clean location a little bit far from center, service is not a 3 star hotel, safe box was broken and nobody checked it before guests arrival, but in total hotel is OK
Very modern and stylish. Top quality room outfit. Badroom with naturela ventilation. Quite location in Palermo and relatively close to the center. My room was in the first floor and I could hear from very early in the morning all the noise coming from the ground floor (expresso machine, preparing tables for breakfat, telephone ringing)
The suite was very good for our family of four. The room was quiet. The breakfast was excellent. My only critique would be that the staff should have warned us not to drink the tap water on admission.
I thought that my stay was very pleasant. i liked the room and the staff were very helpful
Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The picutures on the internet do not do it justice. Customer serivice is very friendly and staff are generally all genuinely hospitable. It should easily make it into a red hotel in the Michelin, provided it improves its breakfast. I hope, however, that such an award will not lead to a lack of reality with regard to room rates in the future, a concern based on the runaway pricing I often witness at establishments which become popular...success inebriates the mind. In the meantime, congratulations are in order! Auguri! Breakfast requires improvement, but, honestly, so does breakfast in most hotels in Sicily, irrespective of rating.
The staff was very helpful and spoke English well. The room was clean and comfortable. They arranged the trsnsfer from the airport late at night. Our room was at the front of the hotel and the street noise was loud. We never got the internet to work.
the environment is good, quite and comfortable
The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The hotel was well-located for touring the city. Our room was without a window to the outside.
Convenient situation and position on quiet attractive square very welcome in such a busy, noisy city. No drawers or shelves for clothes. Room rather cramped.
Very big and clean room with massive balcony
The room was quite nice, with good air-condition. Hotel located in a quiet street, but close to main street and in nice walking distance to restaurants etc. Free Wi-Fi that worked well.
Reasonably high standards and located in the citycentre close to main amenities. Palermo is a beautiful city that deserves a weekend. Hotel accessible 24/7.
central location in palermo, helpful staff eager to arrange practical parking in not too easy palermo we took a non-standard room (could have been sub standard in size or in inward location in the building, and was both). In my opinion as a construction engineer the room was essentially a fire trap, as the only window was half-person sized, and iron-barred.
Very handy to walk to sights in Palermo and restaurants in the evening.
Great and very central location, clean and new both in the rooms and the common areas, tasteful and functional decoration (but not cold or without character). Good breakfast, at least for general Italian standards (that is, do not expect a huge buffet but it is also not the regular croissant - jam - coffee kind of minimal Italian breakfast). There was some construction noise, which we also saw in other reviews from September 2010, but thought would be over by our trip (which was mid-November). Unfortunately it was not the case. Having read about it on booking.com, we had requested a room away from the construction work when booking, but that did not happen. We understand from the hotell staff that it is from a neighbouring building so they do not have much control, but it would be good if they could speak to the neighbours and have the noise at least not before 10 am (it started at around 8.30).
After booking at an already competitive rate, I was delighted to get an upgrade (late August, city centres in Italy are devoid of italians/business travellers so hotels have more availability) and it was a room at the back so very quiet and overlooking the roof of a big church and just wonderful. Their restaurant was also the one which served us the best meal of the whole week in Sicily and the staff were helpful with choices of wine and food. Hotel staff also recommended us a local car rental which proved in turn to be very competitively priced and helpful too. Oh and it couldn't have been more central. It is spread over 2 buildings so there was a slightly roundabout route to our room but that was not a problem.
Best location for sight seeing. The restaurant was excellent. They had a wifi access, but I could not get connected for some reason. The hotel staff said it was something wrong with my PC or sofrware. It could have been helpful if there is some kind of written instruction.
In the bathroom, the shower was difficult to adjust (to turn on/off and temperature-wise) and there was a problem with the sink plug.
very nice hotel, the staff was friendly, attentive and helpful especially in breakfast room, the outstanding reasturant. very spacious bathroom. double room was not enough spacious
The room was beautiful though absolutely no view.Bathroom was like a spa. Sheets and bed were wonderful. Decor was far more elegant than expected. Spa also is beautiful. Need more staff at night and during the summer. They were overworked and it led to an extremely slow resolution of problems with the internet and phone etc. The houseman was delivering room service and getting parked cars. It was
I like its central location, its parking service, and its looks. Maybe the lack of light in our room.
The Bye Bye Blues restaurant was absolutely outstanding and a wonderful surprise. We did not expect to find a restaurant of such a high standing in Palermo. Also being a coeliac I was very impressed to find that there was gluten free bread for me at breakfast and at dinner. Excellent service. Also the bathrooms were fabulous with magnificent large shower heads which gave the best shower. There is nothing negative that I could say about the hotel, staff or restaurant. I would definitely stay there again.
Relatively modern hotel in the middle of Palermo. Breakfast was great! No Tea or coffee available in the rooms, Resturant closed on our second night.
The staff were extremely helpful at Quintocanto. Alitalia lost our bags and the hotel staff tracked them down for us and made sure they were there before our departure (trust me, it didn't look promising). In the meantime, my wife and I had an excuse to enjoy the shopping in the area and relaxed with an excellent massage in the spa. The prices are reasonable, the location is excellent, and the service is even better. We did not have a car, but I can imagine that parking in the area would be difficult.
Staff was excellent. The location for visiting tourist sights in Palermo is excellent. The entrance way, which is flight of stairs to the lobby, could be improved.
The whole experience was excellent ! The welcome and assistance was extremly helpful. Recommendations of restaurants were followed up by booking and taxi, restaurants recommended were excellence.Breakfast served in room of excellent coffee ,freshly made selection of small croissants, breads and pastries with jams and marmalades.Requests attended to quickly and efficiently.Wonderful, tradional hotel.
Splendid view from the private balcony. The location in the very center of the city. Breakfast was served in the room. The bar should be open also in the evening.
The room, the view (from balcony). 4 star Hotel, and breakfast at the room? I do not think it should be like this, with 3 peaces of croissant.
I was totally disappointed in this hotel. They claim on Booking, com and in their literature to have free wi/fi internet throughout the hotel. This ia a bare-faced lie: they have no wi/fi.
Located in central position, staff helpful and kind. Posizione centrale per visitare la città, staff gentile. Entrance on 1st floor wihtout elevator, wifi service does not reach all rooms, basic breakfast and served only on rooms. Entrata al primo piano senza ascensore; copertura wifi non arriva in tutte le stanze, breakfast basico e servito soltanto in stanza. Piu credibile come 3 e non 4 stelle come viene presentato.
I really liked the location. The staff was also lovely and helped me carry my bags up and down the stairs. The staff was very helpful in every way. The only thing I didn't like about this hotel was that it was always noisy. The rooms are not sound proof so you could hear everyone talking all the time. I had to use ear plugs to try and sleep.
The stay was wonderful due mostly to the exceptional customer service of John Luca and his female colleague at the front desk. We had an issue with the date of our booking and the hotel staff made us feel welcome and ensured that we had a room to stay in. The room was exceptionally clean and with a view of Teatro Massimo. They catered to our every need, from holding our luggage and providing excellent recommendations to offering a late check-out and scheduling a taxi to the airport. Highly recommend due to the excellent staff - they deserve a raise!
