The room style and location Only the time of checkin and checkout
Location was perfect. Rooms very nicely done up. Got a great rate as it was pretty much @ the eleventh hour.
te spa relax its very good, wen zou are tired of all dhe shooping in milani dhe spa relax is the beter thing in this moment. the staf it was a litele slowli
The location of the Hotel Boscolo is perfect, nice designer Hotel The bathroom is much to small, the superiour room even doesn't have a bath, and the nice shower doesn't have much pressure on the water. The closets are very tiny and they are located in the small bathroom. The staff wasn't so friendly. The reception is just a table, so not client friendly. The seperate toilet is very noisy.
Location and staff was very friendly
Comfort, size of rooms, design, location and service Insufficient shelfing for putting toiletries & clothes in the shower area
Please write at least 15 words Room service. Very unorganized
The location together with the view of the Duomo is, certainly, a big advantage! Also I'd point out a markable originality and cosyness of the rooms. Unfortunately, the level of service didn't meet our requirements. Thus, we waited for the in-room breakfast (consisting of omelet!!!) for an hour, giving constant calls to the room service and were almost late for the train after it. The change of the room also took quite a lot, something about an hour as well. All in all, they don't hurry to make guests' stay comfortable.
The hotel is realy unconventional and creative in case of design. Services are not coresponding to five star hotel. The pool, which is one of the main atractivness is closing too early (8pm). We changed the room because of broken leg of the bed and broken shower. In the another room was noisy a electric equipment whole night. There was 15minutes waiting for a breakfest table. The breakfest choice was limited less than usual three stars hotel, despite the cost of breakfest was 35E per person. Very far from to be satisfied...
pool, restorant problems with staff
Excellent design, in room amenities and overall feeling, excellent location, but may get stuck in traffic to get close, so be prepared to walk "last mile" if you want to get there quicker, new and trendy Poor breakfast (charged extra 35Eur pp, without info that it is not included in price, not a value for money), little additional suggestion was offered - just menu handed, poor English of some staff (I guess they were not yet comfortable with their skills as hotel just opened), although express checkout was ordered in the evening, next morning had to wait for checkout, not yet many guests so hotel felt deserted
The location is good, but the hotel does not deserve 7 stars - we have stayed in 6 ans 7 star hotels and expected something similar. This one would have to struggle for 4 stars! A disappointment! Bell boy did not help us with luggage until we asked. Receptionist was at the phone with someone else while showing us the room. The room/bathroom has very unpleasant smell, and mould on the wall. Breakfast was expensive (25 eur/pp) but bad. Valet parking too expensive (75 eur/night) but service slow. Room small, lights not working well, overall dark and cold experience. They brought us hot water for tea which smelled of old coffee. Stale biscuits served with the coffee.
Very central and unique location right in the heart of Milan. Attentive and charming staff who were very helpful and courteous. Special thanks to the reception staff, the doormen, and Sabrina.
The location, stuff and interier is wonderfull!!!! the staff was fairly helpful.
I do like the location and the service of the hotel and the interior design of the room
Exclusive, effortless luxury right in the centre of Milan. Location is superb! The breakfast was very disappointing for a hotel of this quality. The rolls were dry and the service very slow with coffee arriving 15 minutes after the rest of the continental breakfast.
The Location of the hotel is perfect. There is not enough place to park the car. We are the first time in Milano, it is hardly to find the Entrance.
Good kitchen, very frendly and helpful staff, good location for shopping and for people wishing to see Milan city centre.
Checking out The hotel was suffocating. And the outside temperature was only 14. AC barely worked and the staff was unresponsive. Room was tiny for 563 Euro and plain. Wouldnt stay here for free.
Centrally located, staffing excellent, helpful and charming. Perfectly located for shopping. Bed was excellent.
The staff was extremely helpful and they spoke English very well.
Location, Hotel Bar
Lack of staff able to iron a shirt at 10pm. No housekeeper services available.
it was cold in the room
very very nice position near Duomo. You can walk to the metro by walking. Hotel stuff are very helpfull and do their job well.
Style and comfort, very close to the Doumo I would have liked more cleanliness of the room and bathroom, especially, from the very first day, but this was corrected in next day
central location & room we had was grand and spacious breakfast was so-so but then
Great location by the Duamo accompanied by helpful and efficient staff behavior
the staff were excellent - very inviting and welcoming. the room was very modern and clean and the bed was very comfortable. very close to all shopping and restaurants - excellent location.
location. Right next to the Duomo and the Galleria. the breakfast room was a little pathetic. the chairs cut off the circulation to your lower legs and your feet fall asleep.
Location It's a stretch to rate as 4 star. Location was great and it's certainly going for the luxury market. Poorly functioning shower in our room was a disappointment for the price. Worse was the service. It was not that our needs were not taken care of but more the manner (attitude) with which they were taken care of. We felt we got poor value for money. 2 stars.
all mentioned above. location, service, room space (stayed at normal double)/ expensive but it is worth of it. nothing
The staff are very good and helpful The breakfast buffet
The room Food
top area for shooping
The courtesy of the staff. Everyone was absolutely fantastic, from the doormen to the guest relations manager Anja. The rooms and the corridors are a bit too dark and the room furnishings a bit too austere.
Corteous staff Aircon broken for 1 day, bedroom small for price
position near central milan
the location and the desing the dining room without natural light
room was right next ddor to private terrace that was opened up for private functions in the evening- it was very noisy.
Great location, convenient room with all appliances and comfort, profesional and helpful staff. Painfully expensive breakfast. Not justified by the product supplied.
Enjoying the nearby to shopping malls, secure area and availibility of surrounding service to travellers Air conditoning at summer season
Location and excellent personel Considering the hotel price, it is not right that breakfast is not included. The hotel across the strett - Straf offers excellent breakfast for the same price.
the only good thing is the location. its a 3 star hotel at best.i and my friends will never book this hotel again.
The Location - the decor and the friendly staff
location bed uncomfortable, noisy room and poor value
great help in reservations etc by concierge
Great location in the middle of the shopping district.
The room was very european and historically beautiful with a marble bathroom, leather furniture and oriental rugs. The staff was great and went out of their way for us. Perfect location for Milan shopping and seeing the Duomo! The food at the bar menu was a bit limiting ( we did not eat at the main hotel restaurant). The more casual restaurant had music that was too loud in the evening, but it stopped by 11pm.
we liked very much the staff. they were help us all the time. the room was very clean, the buffet at breakfast was very good we didn't like that this kind of hotel hasn't free internet in the room.
The feeling to stay in the same palace as Verdi. The history.
Helpful, friendly staff. Good location. Comfortable and luxurious. I do not think that the breafkfast should be charged as an item on its own. It should be included in the price.
The staff were very nice and helpfull The cost felt were high
location, elegance, staff breakfast cost is excessive
The service and the hotel staff The price, too expensive
Peace and quiet no intrusion to privacy
very good staff, always ready to assist you . breakfast could be richer
Room was excellent with beautiful decor and amenities. Staff went out of their way to help and were vey friendly. Great food too.
the staff at the reception, door men and parking attendant the service at the restaurant, room too small, price excessive
I like how friendly the Hotel staff is, how good the food is, the rooms are designed with taste and the Hotel is small so causy and nice. Not really except that the price is a bit high.
The Spa The service at the restarant
This is a beautifully done hotel with very nice garden in a quiet area but convinient.highly recommend this hotel to others Basically no but if the rate is lower will be more charming
the location, the service in general and the staff.. their very high price and their cuisine..
there is nothing to complain at all..very kind and helping staff , excellent location , absolute value for money
Concierge not knowledgeable about city.
location only. to snoby service, not friendly: not comfortable bed, very itchy blankets:room service who sneaks to my room and turns air-conditioner off-sign do not disturb was posted at the door.
excellent staff, prime location
Location The walls of the rooms are draped with tissue which fills up with bacteria.Toilets were a little old. Some of the staff is grumpy
Excelent location, near Duomo and various shops and restaurants. Room a bit small
It is very well located, at 100 meters from Duomo and 200 m from the Galleria V.E. Mattress was not in its best shape. It had two depressions that made the night difficult for a person with back pain. If it's your case, inspect the room before check-in.
location & comfort would not use it at rack rate. front office staff not so good
Location Room was very small. Requested larger room but none available.
Fantastic location. Small rooms and some grumpy staff, facilities somewhat worn.
The hotel was very central and fairly quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly. We had the most apalling smell in the bathroom, which the manager said was atmospheric pressure!!!!. They did move us, but I think it was a problem in the hotel. The room was smaller than I would have expected from the web-site photos. The swimming pool was pond-like.The breakfast was not as good as other hotels that I have stayed in, in the same class.
The staff was very kind! The room was not cleaned very well
Very good location. I booked a room at Hotel Straf (Via San Raffaele 3, Centro Storico, Milano , 20121, Italy). I paid online via booking.com on October 18 2010 the total price of 1089 eur. When I returned home I noticed four (!) payments to the above hotel: - 1089 EUR paid on November 4
Nice, very helpfu and friendly staff. Cool design of rooms. Everything vwas in order. Small room, hard bed.
Unique hotel! Room was quiet. Breakfast was efficent. Staff was very helpful! I prefer a bathtub to a shower, but rooms with bathtubs are on the street side which is noisy.
I picked Hotel Straff for the design and location and luxuriousness and I was not dissapointed!! I read about all the bad reviews of the breakfast and they are not true!!! The breakfast is delicious and has great coffee, great bread, great muesli and soy milk!!!!!
very good breakfast some of lights and room keys were not working
Ver y good service, great little bar, excellent location.
Right next to Duomo. Prefect location. Modern and minimalist interiors. 1- The room heating system is quite poor. The floors are concrete and cold. In order to increase the room temperature, you should incerase the fan speed which is unconfortably noisy. An underfloor heating system should be a perfect altrnative. 2- Breakfast room is not comfortable.
the location, the coziness, the staff, the bar the elevator
friendly staff ,good location very convenience no water boiler(no hot water to drink)its not convenience for family with small children.
The staff was friendly, efficient and accommodating. Overall Avery good value. Boutique hotels in Italy usually don't have gyms. Hotel Milano Scala is an exception. Unfortunately, their small gym has lame cardio equipment. Bring your trainers, hope for clear skies and jog around Parco Sempione.
Interier, design Toiletry Set (shampoo, lotion ...)
I liked the desing of the hotel - its so modern, and the large room with opera wallpapers was amazing. The staff is extremely helpful! And also breakfast was really good. The bathroom was quite strange: too large but not convinient. U dont have even a glass to put ur toothbrush. Also hotel is too modern and sometimes i needed extra explanation how to use facilities in the room. Unfortunately there were no info list in the room.
This hotel offers nicely decorated rooms which are large by Italian standards. Its location, virtually behind the Scala, is perfect. Fairlly bad smell near the elevators on the ground floor. Attentiveness of breakfast room staff could improve.
outstanding room interior. you feel like in opera house. advance twin option is extremely amazing with two floors and stylization for the opera balcony. BRAVO. liked everything.
The luxury of the rooms and the servise Nothing
The location is excellent: we walked to all main attractions and to train to Malpensa airport. Personnel is extremely friendly. Breakfast buffet was good, with live music on Sunday. The room was a good size and calm, with a very modern bathroom. We would go back any time.
