Friendly staff, nice decor, comfy beds Tile in bathroom cracked
It was absolutely terrible. There were wrinkled sheets, there was a broken air conditioner that sounded like it was being hit from the inside with a hammer. Upon calling and requesting a clean up of the room, no one showed. Totally not worth it.
Excellent location - proximity to Liberty University. Lowest price I could find for large chain hotel. Head manager & front desk personnel was the rudest most arrogant & unpleasant woman I have ever met! We spent four days and her disposition went from bad to worse. You should seriously investigate and replace her immediately. Our room had a broken inoperable safe for security of high dollar belongings. The refrigerator was stuck on high ( control knob broken off and missing) so that anything placed inside froze solid. The bathroom was moldy inside shower and sink hot/cold control knob was broken off and missing. Finally, when asking for additional towels for bathroom, we were told "no, we can only give you two towels for your room." I couldn't believe it!!
Location First room they put us in smelled like cat urine and the smoke detector was detached from the cieling and laying on the table. Second room had dirty towels. Will not be returning.
Nice room comfy It had Roaches and other bugs
The Price and location Outdated furniture and room needs updating. Bathroom is small. Our room needs new electrical outlets. Plugs kept on falling out for the lights and our power cords. TV and Fridge cords had to be wiggled to get them to work.
They charged us more booking early then if I would have walked in off the streets
I liked the location of the Travel Inn (Now Hill City Inn) It is right off the highway on Main Street. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the facility was not crowded. The room did not smell stale and the beds were comfortable. The room needed some minor repairs done and could have used a good deep cleaning.
It was clean where it needed to be and bug-free. The breakfast. Did I say the breakfast? The breakfast. What breakfast? Way below today's standards for motel/hotel breakfast. All vending machine buns, no hot water, some dry cereal. This caused the Mediocre Facilities and Value for the Money rating given. Poor value also because though there was room for a rollaway, we were not offered one and instead were required to get 2 rooms for our party of 5.
Clean and inexpensive place to stay dropping off our son at College. Good home base for exploring the area. Biscuit and gravy and breakfast sandwiches good breakfast. Cannot say enough about front office staff and cleaning staff. So frIendly. The pool was great for cooling off on 90 degree days.
The rooms were very clean, I was pleased with the affordability and quiet atmosphere. The breakfast was good and the staff kept everything well stocked. Was very pleasant and helpful. My daughter attends Liberty University, so I;m sure I will be staying here in the future.
Mostly the price and cleanliness. Refrigerator was very noisy.
Clean, newer bathrooms, staff was very, very friendly! bed wasn't very comfortable
I loved how cozy and clean it was! It was IMMACUATELY clean and for a two star, that's unheard of. Not a thing
