Amazing, very clean and gives you all in one place. Very good. love it!
The window of my room didn’t close properly. And the mattress is not so good.
Easy going, slept well. No problems
I was happy with everything
We are a family of 6 we stayed in a private room with its own private shower room. It's not a hotel so didn't expect to much all we needed was a place to sleep and comfortable beds. Which is exactly what we got. Things weren't perfect for example one window was cracked and wouldn't shut properly. Water damage from shower however none of these things effected our stay. The room and bedding were clean So unless your a perfectionist this place is perfect if your on a budget (Shower was great nice and warm and decent pressure). The soon to be teenagers were not happy at all when the first got in the room however once they had stopped the night they all said they would stay here again. The large dining area was great. Plenty of seating added bonus was that Just over the road was a mini super market and several takeaways which you could bring back and eat in the dining area.( We used the chicken takeaway fed 6 of us for under £30 and it was nice) Everyone staying here seemed happy breakfast wasn't bad. With a choice of Continental or cooked and continental. If we came to London again would stop here again. Hope this is helpful
Staff really nice! The price was good too!
Room was very small, bed was noisy, showers and toilets also small and not very comfortable, lift was not working, checkout time very early!
Rooms were dirty and tiny, sheets don’t stay on the bed. When I eventually got to sleep. I overslept by 45 minutes and was charged £10 without even being told. I explained my situation to EMMA at reception who laughed at me and said tough you paid £10! No help at all. She is rude and patronising. There were no ironing facilities to iron clothes and the showers were filthy
The Rest Up London Hostel is known as one of the best and gauging from its outward appearance that would be easy to believe. The charming, brick front building with its terrace garden and wonderful location on the New Kent Road makes it an appealing spot. Just a short walk to Elephant & Castle tube station and 15 miles to Heathrow Airport, it is also just a mile from sites like the Tower of London, Parliament and Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Piccadilly Circus. It is within the same area as the Imperial War Museum and London South Bank University, as well.
A pre-WWI baroque building, it is a historic property and has been a hostel for more than 100 years. It features such amenities as a shared TV room, a beautiful terrace with covered tables and fun bean bag chairs. It has an onsite coffee shop and snack bar, there is free Wi-Fi in the public areas, a ticketing and tour desk, baggage storage option, laundry services (for a fee) and even some business services. Visitors can enjoy traditional breakfast each morning, pizza at night and healthier fare in the restaurant. They also offer group menus.
The rooms include shared dorm rooms with options for four to a room or twenty beds in a dorm-style setting. The rooms are mixed gender, but there is a single four-bed female dorm. There are also twin and double rooms, and some even offer private baths at no cost.
If an affordable and high-quality accommodation is the goal, but also one in one of the best spots in London, it will be hard to beat what the Rest Up London Hostel makes available to travelers of all kinds.
