Room although very small was clean & bed comfortable, The staff extremely friendly & very helpful. Hotel was a 10 minute bus journey to venue.
Our family room was very small for two adults & 10yr old child. Shame as what looks like a beautiful facade was hidden behind scaffolding but imagine it’ll be stunning once works completed.
The location was good, the staff were nice, the room was decent and it was good value. I would stay again.
I would have liked either a thicker blanket or another one on the room as the first night was very cold. I couldn't get the heating to work but that might have been my own fault! We had another blanket within minutes of me requesting one the next day. The keycard deactivated a couple of times without being kept near my mobile phone.
Staff, Location and Price
1. Given a room that was occupied meant I walked in on a couple in most of making love OMG not a good start. New room given ! 2. Asked for Alarm call - Never Happened. 3. No electricity on entire floor room in darkness, showered in dark, dressed in dark and also meant my work equipment including my phone was flat.
room was a good size and had nice air-con/heating. bed was comfy and bathroom was clean. facilities in the room were fine, kettle (tea and coffee), TV, towels, desk and chair, wardrobe and such. the staff at the reception were helpful. good location with a bus stop nearby good for getting around London. the free WiFi was good also.
the staff in the restaurant/bar were rude and seemed to have no customer service skills; very poor customer service from the restaurant. they seem to not have any manners and it came across as if they couldn't be bothered, no please and thank you or a smile. this was a massive letdown and as a result i didn't visit the restaurant again. one more thing is that the key card for the room was a bit dodgy and took a good few attempts to figure out.
The location near the shopping district was great. Good food
First, it was almost unrecognizable due to the scaffolding outside of the building. The rooms, especially the bathroom is entirely too small
