Very relaxing, the villa was beautiful and the view from it was lovely. We stayed for a week but grew bored towards the end, I think 5days is enough, there's not a lot to do except laze at the pool/beach and there's really limited food choices nearby.
Staff was very friendly and food is great. There is a band singing at the main restaurnat at dinner time, it is very nice!! Road to the hotel is very rocky and so uncomfortable. The spa was average.
A beautiful hotel in Thai style, with great views and surroundings! Both restaurants offered great food and friendly service. Very romantic night time dinner on the beach. The villas are both romantic and child friendly. Fantastic pool and beach. And privat speedboat to Koh Samui - what more can you ask for?
The Santhiya Resort is dreamy, magical place. Great for honeymooners! The spa treatments were way over priced.
Own pool is simply what you really enjoy when having a romantic or family holiday. Wannabe perfect gastronomy. Food was eatable but nothing for gourmet.
We love that place:-)
location is very good although be prepared for 1 hour transfer in 4x4 from the landing Port - there is no roads in the island, only trails.... it rained one day and the pain on the umbrellas and the seats on the beach went on all towels and clothes...the entire terrace was brown with paint instead of white...
The room 241 was just outstanding: a big surprise. All the buildings and all the little details everywhere were very pleasant. We enjoyed it very much. The streets to come to the hotel are lousy, it was a real adventure, but it's not the hotels fault
beatiful rooms, amazing spa area
Since we liked our stay at Rasananda two years ago, we decided to book the same hotel again. We like the comfortable room, the friendly and courteous staff and the location at a beautiful beach and next to a little village with nice bars and restaurants. The food at the hotel itself is pricy compared to other restaurants around. Furthermore the Thai-Food at the hotel itself is rather westernized and therefore less authentic. The prices for the wines are high compared to Europe and the us.
The view, the friendly staff. The luxurious room, the private pool, the extremly helpfull staff, great breakfast and great in room dining. The inaccsessability via the only road to get there was a very unconditioned dirt road, which was dangerous to drive or ride a motorcycle on.
Beautiful hotel and grounds, amazing rooms. Staff were very friendly, beach was idyllic.
the best in the world
wonderful new hotel. room garden with private pool fantastic!! the food is not expectative for a five stars hotel
The staff were amazing. They were most friendly and helpful. The design and quality of the resort is outstanding. The resort exceeded our expectations.
Excelent resort! Loveley beach, great breakfast and very nice rooms. You pay more for 2 singas in the hotell bar than you do for 2 large singas and lunch 50 meter down the beach, but still. Thai massase in the back of the hotell is 1900BHT, might be very good, but you can get an hour of massase at the beach for 300BHT. That said, we`ll be back. At a resort like this I`d expect a bit more english speaking personell! Pricings a bit confusing. Visited in januar and our room should be about 22000 BHT a night, we paid about 8000. Check around before booking!
The hotel is amazing. Amazing location and great beach. High standard hotel. it's in the middle of the jungle on the beach! Hotel resturant is expensive (for tahiland). beach is 5 min walk from hotel but no problem. it's 45 min drive to hotel in bad roads, hotel bring you to the hotel and back but only once a day.
Beautiful location, silent, very relaxed ferry transfer was too expansive
Beautiful room, great staff!!!!!!!!! During monsoon season the road towards the resort is very adventurous.
Verry nice bungalow, with great view. Love the hammock on the veranda. Restaurant is point on a hill with stunning views over the beach.
very good location, easy access to the wonderful beach; it was very easy to rent a moto at the hotel (for a very reasonable rate) which gave us the opportunity to explore the island (very recommendable) the apartment rooms smelled of mould due to the dampness but maybe the bungalows don't have this problem (?); when we arrived there was some confusion about our reservation as the internet was down and we didn't have our reservation number with us but this was resolved after a few minutes
Great comfort of rooms, great location (only five minutes walk to Haad Rin Beach), clean and amazing private beach, the best Spa service ever in Koh Phangan, The reception staff were very rude. maybe cuz it was the Full moon days and they were fed up with all the crowd, but that is no excuse to be rude & unhelpful. I have changed the booking from double to single, but they still forced me to buy the Full moon Party ticket for two people. at first they said we werent informed of the change, and then when I showed them the confirmation email, they said no you still have to pay for a second person. The Cocktail party was crap and the food & drinks were disgusting.
The location of the resort is fantastic with what feels like a private beach. Although the facilities were good, they still lacked in some of the additional services associated with the luxury suites. Simple things like an iron would have been useful.
My friend and I had the best time. The beachfront view is beyond amazing. As was the staff, whom were so helpful, accommodating and friendly. the next time I visit Ko Phanang, I would hope I can stay at the Bay Resort. To walk up that steep hill to get to the main road can be dreadful, but you feel so accomplished when you make it to the top!
So peaceful and beautiful! Friendly staff. Lovely design and decor of cabins. I had some bugs in my room.
The hotel is right on a private beach, the location is amazing, near the pier but isolated. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they speak English and good communication is not common in Thailand. Breakfast and restaurant are very good, you can borrow a kayak or snorkelling and other sporting equipment. WiFi is free. Our bungalow was beautiful with ac and sea view, We enjoyed every moment and value for money was excellent.
It was nicely tucked away from Haad Rin but walking distance. Very good for value. The food was a bit pricey but also good.
The hotel's location was really excellent with a nice restaurant and private and beautiful beach. The food was excellent and reasonably priced too. The hammocks at our room and at the beach were unique. Hospitality lacked totally!!!.....No smiles and greetings at all!! No room service!!! Rooms were pretty ordinary and small for a 3 star!! Staff was the most unfriendliest kind than the rest of Thailand!! Spa was located right at the beach but the massage was not great!!
Nice pool area, beach okay, much nicer if you walk to the full moon party beach (5mins) to town, food good in restaurant rooms basic enough but comfortable
The location, walking distance from the centre of Had Rin and at the beach. The food and cocktails were good. On the website the hotel looked nice, but the resort was a bit worn out, it seemed that they did not do any maintenance on the rooms and garden. Everthing looked old and broken, sunbeds at the pool were dirty and the room was very small, tiles in shower dirty and no mosquito net on window. Lock of room was not working properly.
The hotel has its own nice beach. The photos looks like the pictures shown by booking. On the restaurant of the hotel you have many choices of both delicious tai and occidental food.It has its own spa and awesome massages. It's a little bit far away from the north of the island and you need scooter to move around the place near to the hotel. The places around the hotel don't look like as pretty as the north of the island.
Very nice rooms, good location in a beautiful beach, quiet but also close to to the town, good spa at reasonable prices, good food. I would recomend to everybody. Swimingpool was a bit dirty
I was not expecting that hotel will be in a different location. I would say Location, Staff and View are very good.
Nice hotel, great waiters. The road to the hotel is like a roller-coaster. Terrible location.
The location is perfect and the hotel is quite and beautifully. We order room service and we food was tasteless. The main issue was that money was stolen from the safety in my room and the staff didn't care and finely they send me to the policy by myself.
Excellent No complaints
the staff was excellent, the location beautiful, service was spot on, i would really recommend it to any one that dont mind to live a bit away from it all no
Our own smimmingpool enclosed to the big 2-room bungalow surrounded by a beautifull jungle-garten, with the beautifull stunning sea-view over the bay&beach. The personell especially the reception was friendly and always helpfull. The privat large Resort swimmingpool. The bay, the water and the beach was beautiful with non disturbingly noises(music) from the hotels around. The coral house reef is still almost intact and invites for snorkeling. I recommend to choose and book a standart room and negotiate an upgrade to the e.g. pool-villa on arrival; can save you up to 50% of normal charge. Not possible to call out either local or international from the room, which was only possible from the reception. Moderate mold spot on the ceiling in the bathroom over the shower head( which can possibly happen due to the high temperature & humidity). The breakfast was sufficient and good but not varied and only small selection was offered; Thai-food was not offered for breakfast. For lunch and dinner i recommend the "salad hut bungalow&restaurant" in the middle of the bay, as well the "double duke" just next to the Resort which was cheap and delicious, especially for fish&seafood-barbecue.
Beautiful resort,Staff are so nice, beautiful pool and excellent facilities, loved sald beach resort..
water front position, nice beach all around Room not ready upon arrival. Rude receptionist, trying to get money from guests however he can.
The resort facilities, cleanliness, rooms and especially the staff (reception, restaurant and massage/beauty salon) were excellent. Such a relaxing, beautifull and friendly resort. NOTHING!
My favorite part of Salad Beach Resort is the friendly staff. They are respectful and very helpful in answering many of my questions and concerns. I really thought that the Sauna and Jacuzzi was working at the moment of the advertisement online. I was very disappointed because my whole idea of this wonderful trip was to enjoy and relax my overworked body. I was really upset for staying 6 days at Salad Beach Resort with 3 days of empty schedules to pamper myself.
The waiting staff were really nice (all Burmese lads). They made you feel really welcome, smiled and took time to chat to you without being over bearing. The swimming pool was really inviting and the garden and grounds well kept. Room was good, bed changed every day. Lovely bathroom. Resort is right on the beach front and has its' own sun loungers. There are a few dogs milling about at this resort and others along the beach which some people might not like, but they were friendly and didn't cause the guests any hassle. If you really don't like dogs it could put you off, but me and my girlfriend found them cute and adorable. Inclusive breakfast was nothing special. Cereal, juice, toast, eggs etc. No thai food on offer in the mornings. Other than this, just insignificant minor details not worth mentioning. Nothing that spoilt my stay in any way.
This is a small hotel with nicesetting near the beach, nice garden and great view of the see and sunset. good location, not too far from Tong sala, roads are good. They arranged for us (per our request) a nice tour of the Island - the girl at the reception was very helpfull. Rooms are too small for family with teanager child, they do not have bigger rooms (we wanted to upgrade). Breakfast is nice but very basic, and so are the rooms and shower (no bath).
great hotel - right next to the sea....very friendly staff. bought snorkels and went for a swim in the sea - saw lots of fish. excellent bbq in the evenings
Breakfast is good, but eggs are boring after 3 days. Half of the staff was very nice but the rest was not flexible. The restaurant is expensive and not as good as others, that you can find on the beach. The beach is very nice, but we had to go far in the sea for snorkeling. They cleaned the beach and the garden more carefully than the rooms. Rooms are very old fashioned and the walls are dirty and it's not worth the money at all. You have to pay in advance for the rooms.... They put plastic chairs and tables to the beach, compared to the prises they could invest some nice chairs... Massage is not very good there. So altogether you can find a lot better places to stay on that beach!
Nice swimmingpool, lovely beach, nice atmosphere. Good food as well. The reception did not warn us about the dodgy bike-rental next door to the hotel (first shop on the left). Since there are only three bike-rental shops in the tiny village of Salad, they could just as well have. Because the people were so nice in Had Salad, we did not think about getting ripped off of our money. Our stay at Salad Beach did not end happily.
The rooms are very tidy and well equipped and staff is very friendly and helpful. The beach is cleaned every morning, and you can snorkell right from the beach. The restaurant is one of the most expensive on the beach, but there are many others, so you can choose cheaper ones easily.
