-Location -Hotel amenities -Staff friendliness My wife and my passports were stolen from me. The hotel was more than accommodating to our needs. They even gave us a discount when we extended our stay.
It's very well-located, if you have to be near Taksim this is the best place. It's close enough to the meydan and to the Metro and buses, but not so close to Istiklal where all of the noise and crowds are. The rooms are nice and comfortable. The Wifi was very slow and kept going in and out, if you're paying $140 for a room you shouldn't have to deal with something even $28/night hotels in Istanbul get right.
our room view
One of the best None
Location is excellent, staff are friendly and helpful, rooms of good size, all amenties are available, resteaurants and food is good. Price is a bit in the high side.
hotel has good location , staff very polite and helpful , speaking perfect english we didnt like the hotel room , it needs renovation , really very old , stains everywhere at bathroom ,we stayed only first night out of 3 .
The room had a lovely view. The person on the enquiries desk was extremely helpful in assisting us in finding a restaurant and booking it for us. I thought the room was a bit small for a deluxe room. I also did not like the fact that they did not have slippers in the room.
It might not be brand new but with an unbeatable location next to Taksim square and splendid views of the Bosphorus from almost every room as I found out, this is the best value for a luxury stay in Istanbul. The breakfast is vast, the staff incredibly attentive and courteus and it has one of the best gyms I'vê ever seen at hotels around the world. Highly recommend it Maybe the room furniture is a bit old world style but of good quality
It's Location. Air Conditions.
Everything was great.Rooms spacious and always clean .The service for the rooms was 3 or 4 times a day and continuous supply of water(free). Reception staff friendly and helpful. An excellent choice for our 5day trip to Istanbul. The shopping center only a few minutes walking away. Although they had been notified for our late afternoon arrival one of the two rooms took one hour to get ready.
Well located and spacious. It is definitively an aging hotel. Was on the 1st floor and the hallway and rooms smelled like smoke even if it was non-smoking.
The view is great, specially on the high floors. Valet parking is convinient. Location is great for those who like busy life day and night that area does not sleep The club intercontinental does not offer much, there is no all day refreshments like other executive floors in other hotels.
The Spa with Haman was fantastic. The staff was very professional. The restaurant recomendation from the Concierge to a restaurant also on the hotels website. It was very touristy and not level expected. Would have preferred that the hotel had a buffet at dinner.
Very nice hotel It was away from tourist area of old town. But that was not nessessary a bad thing
Upgrading my room to better one Nothing
location rooms are need to be renovation
a/c staff dont clean everyday
The staff. They help you with any kind of problems or questions that you may have.
Nothing Yes, the Hotel cannot be a 5 Starts Hotel, im referring back to the Rooom set up itself, (the carper, the bed, the TV, the size fo teh room, the Bathroom...) all were way below expectation.
helpful staff, well located if one is interested in this district rather than staying in touisty sultanamhet bathrooms need up dating! no english movie channel, need kettle and tea and coffee facilities in the rooms
The location. Its located in downtown Istanbul. Hat disappeared from the room. Took over an hour and a half to do check in. They tried to include a breakfast package that I never hired.
the location is brilliant The bed and pillow were very uncomfortable. It was impossible to sleep especially on the side that faces the square because it was too noisy. Windows were not thick enough. I was charged immediately after I made my reservation, contrary to the rules.
twice bloked money from my kredit card for room
Staff was not very welcoming at arrival
twice blocked money from my kredit card for room
We enjoyed the hospitality, the comfort, breakfast was great, we felt safe with great security in and around the hotel, On Iron, no hairdryer in our room, we are also a custom to having a microwave in hotel rooms in America. I didn't see any of that.
Fabulous spa, gym, and pool. Breakfast delivered to my room was amazing and only cost around $20. The service was excellent. I was shocked that the internet and local calls cost extra money. I had to change a booking at a hamam and the concierge changed the hamam time but never re-booked my massage, which I was unable to get as they were fully booked.
I like the stuff
The view from my window. Some of the staff did not have a good attitude. For example: The night before I asked that my room ticket be printed, the mini bar checked, a wake up call arranged and taxi service to the airport arranged. When I called the reception at 0630 that morning for help with my luggage, I was told it was early and they would send someone up in 15 minutes. There was fog out my window and I thought I should leave earlier. When I arrived at the lobby, my bill was not prepared, the receptionist said I drank one bottle of water from the mini bar and had me sign a form when I said I did not; wanted to charge me the conversion rate from US$ to TL and I was not told this when I checked in and gave a $1000 USD deposit on the room and additional charge
The location and the fast service The confusion regarding my payment procedures
the staff were helpfull and polit ,good location ,clean, breakfast was good. the spa was not ready to be in service and the roof restaurant too
The location was excellent near by the most important area ( Taksim) with reasonable price and warm hospitality Poor of food staff and experience on service as it is new hotel
The hotel staff were very helpful with directions and figuring out the metro and ferry times/locations to get us to our destinations.
Location is 10 minutes walk from downtown. Clean and Okay view. I did not like the fact that I got stolen (Laptop value over $700)! But I was shocked from the response of the management team in the hotel! I was treated with cold faces and they questioned my own integrity. I ended up trying to defend myself for some reason!! They did not offer any help, I was put on the side and was given least priority. They did not seem even surprised. I think it is not the first time there. Unfortunately I could not call the police because it was my last night. My advice if you go there .... do not leave anything valuable.
The staff is very friendly , the location is excellent .
Very good position close to Taxsim Square. Well run hotel with friendly staff and well appointed bedrooms.
Reading was impossible in bed as bedside light was too dim. This is the reason for the fair rating only for comfort.
great hotel, great location in the heart of the down town. really liked it.
I like this place because near the shopping and taksim squer Very bad this hotel because they can't clean evry time , the room very small , this hotel 4 star not 5
The Turkish Spa is a must, clean, relaxing environment and great service. The Hotel Location is also very good, in a calm street, coffee shops are open 24h, in the heart of the city, 3min walking from the centre (Taksim Square). Ideal location in Taksim The Buffet was good and various plates/dishes/ but the quality could be much better.
The lobby! They charged the full amount of 4 nights on my visa card before my arrival !!!!!
close to center limited facility
hamaam A five star hotel that do not have irons at all ! We were told that they only offer a pressing service at a cost ! A swimming pool that we have to purchase swimming caps for in order to use. The first room we were given had construction outside it and when asked to be moved we were told the hotel is full! Five minutes later we were told they have a another room...
They charged me in Turkish currency despite me receiving a quote in euros They charged me in Turkish currency despite me receiving a quote in euros
Excellent service, excellent approach to the score, so it Should Be Every hotel, all staff in August nalerzy great praise, recommend
Stayed in renovated room which is really extremly modern and comfortable as much as 5* hotel. Staff is quite inadequate and not trained in helping customers efficiently; AmEx credit card can not be used for payment although mentioned at hotel profile and confirmed during check in, it took more then 1 hour to check out (if I would have to fly this would be crutial), hotel manager not able to handle situation and finally rediculoulsly they requested me to get cash from atm and pay in cash.
Perfect location. Do not go to Junction! (Expensive food of average quality.)
there was so nice staff. we had room at 8th floor but elevator work to 7 only. thats why i wanted to change room and they gave us very good room next day. yes. floor 8.
very central no non-smoking rooms; my room smelt badly of cigarettes.
the spot of the hotel is perfect. they offered two single beds although they knew it was a cou[ple that is staying . of course they changed the next day that we complain
Great ubication, new and very nice and confortable rooms. We forgot a pair of sunglasses and when we called to ask if it was there they told us we forgot there and saved them until we went to pick them up. We did the reservation with time and told we were travelling with an 11 year old girl. We arrived almost at 2 in the morning and we found our room was very small and there was not space for her. The next day we were changed to a very confortable and big room as there was not space that night.
Very good service. Very helpful with the car parking. All staff spoke good English.
very nice location - very clean and nice rooms (we were in the renovated ones) - very nice restaurant
Good location, good services and very nice people. the front desk should be better trained .
good location near Taksim square and airport bus station. modern design. spacious rooms compared to other hotels in same area. slightly over priced accomodation and breakfast. bad air condition in room.
Location was the main plus for this hotel. Staff is very friendly. Need a lamp on the desk. It is hard to do work on your computer. No light over the work area.. Florecent lights does not fit the decor, it makes it look cheap..
This Hotel is perfect. The best item in this hotel was staff from restaurant to front desk. This was the first time in this hotel, but it's sure not the last one. It'll be my first chocice. If you're in Istanbul, there's no any better way to stay...We were two family and both of us left in convenience. And once more time i want to tahnks to Guest Relation Ms. Ozlem and Mrs. Acelya helped to us during our stay. They reserved and organised everything from Asia to Europe... Please keep your kindness, except the hotel city was the glamorous... Especially in the evening... Everybody should see this charming city
Good location, nice views from the senior suite. This is a clean no nonsense hotel that provides everything that I need from a hotel. I usually stay in luxury hotels, but chose this as a much better deal for my money. My wife would have liked them to have face cloths and a stronger hair dryer, but that is typical of many hotels. There was nothing else that we didn't like.
i've stayed in this hotel 2 times. the room is comfortable, location is in the heart of istanbul. but in this hotel first of all the most important thing is the staff kindness... on my second time guest relation has introduced me to the receptionist they welcomed me in a politeness... and they prepared room as my last stayment. i asked for ergonomic pillow on my first time, when i came back to hotel for my second trip they've already put the pillow just before i've entered room. so they're giving the personelized service... by the way rate, comfortable and the staff quality perfect!!! i reccomend this hotel to my friends...
not far from sightseeings and close to shoppingstreet and good restaurants
We like all of the hotel. My wife and me were get an pleasure experience... The best point of this hotel is warm conversation. Especially Front Desk staff was wonderful... They welocmed us professionally... And they helped us during our stay... On the Guest Relation desk there was young lady who is Ms. Ozlem. She made our all city organization with a nice smile and in a pleasure... Also you'll like to be in the heart of city... It's in the exact POINT of that where you want to stay... I'll reccomend this hotel all my encourage... Thanks for all...
Convenience of location, free computer use, and a very nice spa area including a large pool all free to guests. Rooms are small for 2 people on a longer stay.
The location is good and facilities are good for business and family traveller Breakfast was pricy and should have been included in the room rate
This is an excellent hotel.
We were welcomed with a bottle of wine in our room for our wedding anniversary which was a lovely thought and only wished we had longer to enjoy all the sevices the hotel had to offer.Truely memorable and we hope to return soon.
Everything from the bellboy to the cleaning staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and of highest quality and location was great, a lot of things to do if you don't mind walking. Historical sites are not close need to take a cab but not very far normally costing about 20-25TL.
The hotel is new, clean, well-managed, and in a great location. Also, the rooftop restaurant, which is where the complimentary breakfast is, is amazing. We ate dinner at Le Fumoir one night and it was our favorite meal in all of Turkey. My room was a bit dark because it was on the 2nd floor and faced the street and another building. However, this is nothing management can change. I do think the air conditioning could be stronger. It takes a while to cool the room.
It was very personal, well designed and clean. The hallway was a bit dark
I like the location. The hotel is in the city center. Room has a nice view. The most importantly, I like the people who works at the hotel. People are so kind and friendly. I recommend that you listen their advices about where to go to eat and go out. They know the best restaurants and the places..
well english speaking staff towel were old, extremely noisy at night time. and also bed's sheet were a bit smelly. in general we spend our worth night in this hotel, because we couldn't sleep up to 2;30 at night.
rooms are small and not really comfortable do not value for 150 euro small size beds.
5 of 5 starsReviewed 1 week ago Our trip in Istanbul was for 6 days, and the idea was to find a hotel with an outdoor pool, to be able to get away from the hustle & bustle and chill out every once in a while. I’ve found that most hotels with pool have indoor pools and Hamam's....which is nice… of course... but in the summer heat, an outdoor pool is more what we need... Some of the high end expensive Hotels seem to have it but we didn't want to spend hundreds of $$$ per night... Anyway, I’ve found and booked the Marmara Pera and wasn't totally sure what to expect. Here our impressions: Perfect location in an upscale neighborhood, 1 minute from the famous walking street Istiklal, between Taksim square and Galata Tower. The building is the tallest on that hill and it gets you the most stunning views without any obstructions whatsoever. We stayed in room 901 and had a fantastic view over the city and river. Best of all was the sunset because the sun would go down right in the center of the window...absolutely beautfiful. The pool on the roof is not big but it doesn't matter because you are overlooking Bosporus river, the old town, the blue mosque, the whole shebang. You can overlook all directions from the Rooftop and again, you are on the tallest building around, so no obstructions. Very friendly & English speaking staff, easy check in Nice Amenities in the room Power outlets that keep charging your devices even when not in the room and key card removed from the main power switch. Our local friend mentioned that the restaurant on the Rooftop is excellent but we never actually ate there. Not sure if the hotel prices were lowered because it happened to be Ramadan or maybe because tourists bought into the terror scare that is rampant ever since 9/11 and stayed away... but we've only paid $80 per night for that room with the sunset view. Btw, there is a metal detector and 24h security at the entrance. I've visited Istanbul before and I think having a view and a central location is really making all the difference. I will come back here and stay in this very hotel. One last thing: download the App called BiTaksi and link it with your credit card. It's like UBER but it's what the locals use over here. I started already at the airport and never waited more than 4 minutes for a Taxi. This way, we’ve never had to hackle for price, got rejected because of the destination, or worse...got scammed when paying in cash... and believe me.... Taxi stories were my worst experience on my previous trips to Istanbul. Love Istanbul, don't get discouraged, help yourself, use technology and Apps to make the most of your trip. Stay open minded, be friendly, stay cool and you will get great things in return. Nothing at all!
Great view and great staff. Overall I loved it.
good hotel staff, professional no
The location for shopping cannot be better few meters from Istiklal Str. and 5min to Taqsem Square. Only the cleanness of the room was not up to that level.
Great view! Exelent location with amazing rooftop and coctails , central ... great choice best view than the galata tower Gym too small
the Location in Taksim area evry thing is fine
Fantastic Location and not so busy!
Pool on the roof.
nice hotel we feel comfort, near to one of the famous shopping street, nice view, and it is easy to go to every where in Istanbul nothing at all
